Volume 2
Chapter 26: The First Year
Life on Berk returned to normal for me, as normal as things get for a human-turned-dragon, who was also flung into the distant past and turned much younger of all things, you get what I mean. The point is…life continued as though nothing happened. But the truth is…my bond with Toothless and the other dragons continued to grow.
It's been one year since I first woke up in the cove and even now…staring down at it alongside Toothless…it kind of felt as though it happened yesterday.
"So much has happened since…" I muttered softly.
"For what its worth, meeting you and Hiccup in this hole helped cure my loneliness" the Night Fury next to me said.
I sighed softly, "yea…"
He noticed my expression, the kind I usually made when I doubt something or doubt myself. Having known me this long, Toothless could tell what's bothering me, "I know it's been a while since you've been home, Flint…but…"
I scoffed back, "I'm just…living my days out here now…if I go back someday…it's whatever…but right now my concern here is you and the village. I just hope I get the chance to make it all work in the end."
The black-scaled beast walked up to me, nuzzling my side softly. He just had to start licking me as he always does, something he often did to help Hiccup and me. Oh well, I rolled my eyes at him and decided to yield. Sure enough, as always, I start to push him away…too much drool on me now after all, "okay, okay, stop." He pulled away and gave a half-closed smirk, "one year and you're still doing that" I playfully remarked before he pounced me.
"Would you rather me…BITE you?" He mischievously asked, beginning to gnaw at my ear playfully: it didn't hurt, and it soon turned to me trying to bite him in return. Sure enough, it's just two Night Furies play fighting next to a cove where they were fatefully brought together one autumn solstice.
A lot has happened since Heather left Berk. I'll try to explain some of the important stuff as much as I can:
After she left, Tooth continued giving me lessons on how to defend myself and I steadily improved. As winter draws to a close, Toothless began teaching me more advanced tactics of fighting as a Night Fury. He teaches me more about the different classes of dragons that exist and how each one of them has its own unique characteristics. Fishlegs and the Book of Dragons turned out to be a BIG help, especially with my knowledge of Norse writing improving.
Other things I ended up learning from Tooth, with the help of his Auto Fin, is how to catch fish from the skies as he did before he was shot down by Hiccup. It's harder than one would think…the first few days went without any progress. Still, I continued trying, and eventually, I'm able to catch my first fish during flight…much to the delight of Toothless who hovered above me!
He and I, that same day…I guess to celebrate…took the opportunity to head to Dragon Island to thank the Queen, Belin, and everyone else there for their help in rescuing me on Outcast Island. Belin inspected my body: taking note of the faint scars left behind from that fateful day.
We didn't stay for long, though…for Toothless didn't like being far away from Hiccup for very long.
Around the end of winter, a Viking tradition occurred called Thawfest: where the villagers test their abilities against each other for the chance to win!
It turned out, though…that a certain somebody was always the champion of these events…and a certain somebody else…was always last place…Hiccup. Yet, this year could be different, after all: we dragons are now a part of the tradition for the first time ever!
Gobber oversees the games and soon came up with three new games that included dragon-kind.
The games begin and sure enough: I, like Toothless, see the rivalry between Haddock and his cousin…Snotlout. It wasn't pleasing to watch Hiccup the useful lose every game despite his best attempts. I and the Night Fury beside me can do nothing but watch him lose to Snotlout every round.
Day two finally had the Viking teens and their dragons compete against one another. I watched from the sidelines next to a 'guitar-playing' Gobber (who I haven't seen play an instrument yet…) and his sheep Phil. I hear the old man play and it somewhat distracts me from watching Toothless and Hookfang going at it. I can tell the black dragon wasn't going to let Hook embarrass him in front of everyone, so Tooth put in 110% for this competition.
Things get intense as I cheer the duo on, watching them beat 'SnotFang' this round! I had to stand on my legs and jump repeatedly: even hugging Phil in my excitement, much to his muted annoyance.
As the games progressed, 'HiccTooth' continued climbing the ranks, soon reaching Snotlout's score of three…they're now just one point behind!
Soon, the third dragon game started…so far so good for them! I cheered for the infamous duo, ducking my head quickly as they passed by me and other spectators. Sure enough, a perfect score for Hiccup and his dragon!
It turned out that Snot and Haddock are now tied, and the next day will be the final round. Despite Hiccup's newfound bravado, it felt great seeing him finally win; however, both Tooth and Astrid felt that the boy was letting it all get to his head.
Just before sunset, Toothless and I went to practice in the forest as we always did now…only this time…we were followed.
Before we even began our first lesson, we hear him land right across from us: the Monstrous Nightmare known as Hookfang. He stomped toward us with frustration in his eyes…eyes so intense that they cut right into my soul, "so…"
"So…" Tooth repeated in a semi-sarcastic manner.
"What has Hiccup been giving you to make you win those challenges?" The much bigger dragon, who by far is the most 'dragon' looking of them all that I know in this world...in my opinion, snarled at him.
"Nothing, and even if he did…I wouldn't need them to beat you" Toothless smiled cockily.
Oh boy…here we go.
The Nightmare did NOT take that very well, "if you think I will let you WIN tomorrow…you are MISTAKEN" Hookfang said with a proud glimmer in his yellowish eyes.
The beast huffed, smoke seeping from his nostrils before walking off. It could have ended there, but Toothless next to me just had to escalate things…
"Why can't you be like everyone else…why do you have to antagonize me all the time?" The Night Fury asked genuinely.
The other dragon looked back with a side glance and growled lowly in return, "even after all we've been through together, you and your…brother…are still hiding something…and I deserve to KNOW!"
"You deserve NOTHING of the sort!" Tooth barked back, lowering his body as if ready to pounce the bigger creature in front of him. I jumped in front of him to stop him. It's not like my smaller body would have stopped him or anything…I just hoped he got the hint.
"The Deadly Nadder knows something…so does that Terrible Terror…why is it so HARD for you two to tell the truth?"
I look away, grimacing at the thought.
"Are we NOT a team?" Hookfang asked, begging to know.
"There's nothing to tell…" Toothless growled back.
"There is…what is it exactly: was this younger dragon next to you raised by humans…humans that you refused to tell us about?"
"Why are you SO suspicious about Flint…why?"
"His name…HIS NAME…it is human-sounding…why would he have such a name…why would his mannerisms be so strange…"
"Enough" I stepped in for everyone's sake, "please Hook…Toothless…can we not…"
"I would respect you a lot more if you told the truth…there is no honor in keeping secrets." The exchange ended there and Hookfang finally walked away in silence.
I looked toward my 'brother' who looked down at me. I sighed heavily, "we can't…keep doing this…"
"Well…like I told Stormfly before…you're going to end up telling everyone the truth by this point" Toothless groomed himself after saying this.
"Maybe it's the right thing to do…" I said, almost inwardly before deciding to drop the subject for now.
That night, Hiccup made some modifications to his dragon's equipment, Toothless voiced his opinions to me regarding Haddock's unusual behavior but I just shrugged it off…hoping that he would win.
The day after, the race begins! The cousins and their companions make efforts against one another to win the title of champion. The first leg required the humans to pass some obstacles without their dragons. Despite falling behind greatly, once Hiccup made it to Toothless at the top of a cliff the Night Fury's speed allowed the two to catch up to Hook and Snot. Unfortunately, just when it looks to be an easy win for HiccTooth, they suddenly slow down at the last few seconds…allowing their opponents to win!?
I couldn't believe it…Snotlout Jorgenson is declared the winner of Thawfest, much to Spitelout's, his father's, pleasure. Hookfang smirked in victory, feeling as though it was rightfully earned.
The moment Toothless pulled away amidst the celebrations, I just had to say, "I saw everything, Hiccup let him win…I don't understand…"
"Some things are just more important than winning" he smiled back.
I look toward his rider, seeing him and Snotlout getting along for once, soon understanding what Toothless meant. I glance over to the Monstrous Nightmare. A thought crosses me, "you're right…I'm going to tell him…"
The Night Fury knew what I had meant, "Flint…"
"I owe it to him…" I snapped back softly and suddenly he jumped in front of my way, "no, you don't!"
"Toothless, please…I have to!"
He looked down slowly before sighing. Before anything else happens, he placed a squishy paw on my shoulder, "then let me help you" the teenage Night Fury smiled.
That night, he and I made it to Snotlout's residence where we got the attention of the Monstrous Nightmare.
"Hook, congrats on your win today…mind if we talk?" Toothless inquired softly, so as not to wake the people inside.
"About you losing today…I guess you really should have let your rider give you something to beat me" the opposite dragon huffed hauntingly.
Toothless composed himself, looking back up at the towering reptile, "actually, it's about Flint…" he stepped aside to reveal me behind the Night Fury. Hookfang narrowed his dragon eyes. Soon enough though, I stepped forward and began my confession.
"I know we haven't been on good terms…but you deserve to know the truth…"
It took a few minutes, but the Monstrous Nightmare absorbed as much information from me as he could…looking toward the Fury next to me now and then to validate my words.
"You mean to tell me that you…are no dragon? What absurdity!"
"It's true" Toothless scoffed, "I couldn't believe it at first either, but it's true…the Queen can prove it to you if you'd like."
"You knew all this time too…I knew you were keeping secrets" Hookfang snorted.
"For a good while now, yes."
"Hook," I stepped forward, albeit cautiously, toward the reddish dragon, "I'm sorry for a lot of the things I did…and didn't say to you."
"I knew there was something off about you…" Hook growled in response.
Toothless stepped in, body language changing from a calm demeanor to a more assertive pose, "watch it, Hook…"
"The Fury beside you knew…"
"I did…but it's in the past and now you know that Flint here used to be human" Tooth calmed himself to avoid a confrontation and his actions seemed to have passed on to the larger dragon across from us.
"Emphasis on USED TO BE" I added to relieve tension in the air, but I don't think it worked as well as I hoped it would.
The Stoker-class dragon huffed back at us in response, "I suppose I should accept your apology and truth…even if it is outrageous…" Hookfang suddenly walked away, entering his dwelling and leaving us both alone. Toothless offered a wing to me afterward, "hey, bud, it's alright…"
I look up to him and laugh nervously, smiling sheepishly as I do, "I'm fine, it could have gone A LOT worse. It did in my head, but I'm just glad the two of you didn't get in a scuffle."
"I won't lie, I expected more hostility from him. Hook and I have had our moments…but as long as we move on from this, I'm fine with it" Tooth smiled softly back, "oh well. Come on, let's go home, Flint."
The true Night Fury starts walking away: back to our house before I sigh softly, "I MIGHT as well tell Meatlug and the twins."
He stopped and gave me a side glance with an eye, "is that what you want?"
Might as well…right?
…
Some more stuff to summarize…time went by, and Berk continued to evolve into a settlement that accommodated more dragons than ever. I told Meatlug and Barf and Belch the truth. By this point: the "main six" knew about my secret but it took some time before they would accept the idea. Eventually, however, Meatlug, the twins, and Hookfang would finally put the puzzle pieces together and accept my pedigree…or at the very least…tolerate it.
The days passed and Toothless and I were dragged into more adventures in Berk. Some of them involved things like battling a Whispering Death, a Boulder-Class that could bury underground and turned out to be extremely dangerous for us. It's when I learned the hard way that Toothless had a grudge against this beast. It's not just me, though, who found this out. The Night Fury tried his best to keep us out of his personal battle. Thankfully, Tooth got the upper hand, and his nemesis is eventually overpowered.
Man…and I thought the Hideous Zippleback is weird looking…Whispering Death wipes the slate clean on that.
Anyways, more time went by and as Spring finally came around and Summer along with it, my abilities in fighting improved.
Now came the day Toothless and I was to put all I've learned to the test. Like all past lessons…he took me to the forest adjacent to the Haddock Residence and we began training once again on this nice, sunny, afternoon. Today, however, Toothless had a different lesson in mind, and this time Stormfly wanted to watch us. She preened as she watched across from us.
I got the dodging down, as demonstrated on Outcast Island, and now I got some rudimentary knowledge on using my claws and tail for defense. The larger Fury taught me these NOT to be aggressive toward foes but to use our abilities to defend ourselves and our friends. I LOVED the idea…it's kind of like a form of martial arts, almost. Toothless was the type of dragon that only resorted to fighting if it were deemed necessary. What else could you expect from an overgrown lizard-cat, heh?
"Today's the day" the black reptile smiled down at me as I stood across from him with a cute, quizzical, look running down my face. Suddenly I slapped my narrow forehead, it is…isn't it…uh…what is?
All he did was chuckle, "I think you're ready." He lowered his body…getting ready for our 'battle.'
He wants to get all dirty, is that it? I sighed softly, nodding before I mirror his current position, might as well get this over with, Flint Callahan.
"Remember what I taught you. It's okay to fight against me, we're just practicing…just…try not to REALLY get into it" he laughed again as I rolled my eyes playfully, "ready…one…two…"
All of a sudden, he dashed for me and before he could make contact with me, I jump out of the way! He followed his advance by swiping up with his claws and I used my wings to flap upwards to evade his attack. I tried smacking my tail to his face, but he quickly ducked. I used a branch to get myself away from him but he's still the speedy Toothless I've always known! Very soon it turns into a chase in the trees: with me jumping from tree to tree like a primate with Toothless hot on my tail!
He pounces for me once I touch the ground and I decide to slide underneath his body before he can get to me. Stormfly watches in awe as Toothless begins getting more and more desperate to catch me. When he tries to use a paw to stop me, I do a flip and slap the corner of his face with a wing as a counter. Suddenly, he uses a suppressed plasma bolt in front of my path to stop me. Before he can finally subdue me to end the exercise, I lower my body and growl: so this is how we're going about this, eh?
I unleashed my own version of plasma toward him. Toothless yelps as he ducks, squinting his eyes momentarily as he does so. It proved to be his undoing, for I jumped at him, and we rolled in the dirt.
"I got you!" I yelled triumphantly while on top of the dragon as Stormfly squawked in surprise behind us.
"Big mistake, Flint…" Toothless grinned, "I'm still bigger than you" he suddenly grabbed me, and I yelped, bringing me into a tight squeeze. Storm laughed before Tooth joined in, still suffocating me with his brotherly embrace. After he lets go, I let out a hefty gasp and then snarl playfully, "just wait till I'm your size…buddy."
"Heh," he pulls away before we both stand up, "great job, Flint…great work. I'll count that as a win for you since you got to me first!" He smiled before Stormfly joined us, "that was amazing, Flint…you've learned so much these past few months!"
"Agreed, and he'll learn much more" Toothless patted me on the head as I give a delighted warble back.
My warble got the attention of a small doe that appeared to be searching the area for food. It seems in our distracted training and the brief conversation that we failed to sense the creature. Toothless eyes them carefully, eyes turning oval, "F-Flint…lemme ask you something."
"Uh…yea?" I looked up at him, my voice suddenly as quiet as his.
"How do you feel about hunting?" The Night Fury asked me genuinely.
I look back towards the small creature and then back to him, "I think…I dunno. What's the point, dragons are domesticated now?"
"It doesn't matter" he retorted, "hunting is a skill you should have, especially in your body."
"I…suppose…" I look back to the forest: the animal is gone, but I can still pick up their scent, and let me tell you: my dragon mind started playing with me…begging me to follow the smell. It started getting me to think…what if Toothless is right? I've…I've never killed an animal before, hunted…but I've been catching fish so far and didn't have much of a problem with it. This felt different, however…and the humans on Berk hunted…so what would stop me, exactly? What if I ended up alone for some reason…I would need to know how to look for food, right? As much as I hated the idea, my dragon mind finally persuaded me.
And so, it wasn't long before Toothless started teaching me the basics…how to use our stealth…how to use patience, and our surroundings to our advantage. He told me how our ears and ear fins work to locate prey…being able to pick up the faintest of sounds. The goal was to stalk the creature…and then pounce them…much like how a cat in the wild does. Chasing the creature didn't seem to fit Night Furies very well despite the fact we COULD, in theory, outpace them. The whole idea is to use the element of surprise to our advantage.
It WOULD take a while to perform the rite exactly as how Toothless described it, but soon we found the perfect creature: a small deer that silently ate the grass in a clearing where the sunlight penetrated the conifers. Toothless and I were already in position. He already had made a catch earlier in the day but now he wanted ME to do the hunting.
"Remember," he told me just a few minutes earlier, "once you have it in your claws, sink your fangs into its throat for a clean kill…you don't want it to suffer, alright?"
"Got it…"
And so here we are the perfect setup for a growing dragon to practice its stealth and endurance. I lowered my body, forming an arch similar to a feline as Toothless watched from the sidelines, hoping I'd get it right.
It was in this atmosphere of plotting that I let my dragon mind help me in my endeavor…I didn't want to screw this up…no way…it's now or never. The deer is SO close and I'm ready.
The next thing it knew, I am already pouncing at it, claws extended. It was over: I grabbed onto the doe with my razor-sharp talons…digging into its muscular hide. It buckled and struggled immensely. I had to do it…I sank my teeth into its neck…ending its pain.
Toothless came out of the shadows to inspect the scene and he nodded in approval, "Flint, you alright?" He asked toward me before I withdrew my teeth from the limp creature.
Blood pooled from my fangs before I wiped them clean with my forked tongue. The moment my tongue touched the liquid I felt the delicious taste of this creature. I started biting into the creature's flesh and pulled out chunks of meat to satisfy my sudden hunger. Soon enough, however, I composed myself, and looked at the half-eaten deer with my eyes full of guilt "oh God…wha-what…"
Toothless sat down next to me to comfort me, "it's okay, we don't have to do this again…I just…wanted you to-"
I nodded softly, finally understanding why it had to be done. I looked up towards him to meet his green gaze head-on, "no, I get it…it had to be done…I must know these things. After all…" I licked my muzzle to get rid of the drying blood from my black mouth, "I am a dragon now."
At that moment, he looked away, contemplating what I had said, "Flint…don't forget who you are…please. Underneath all of this, you are still human…don't let that go away."
"You were the one who suggested we do this" I half-squinted in retaliation. I stood up, shaking my head, "human or not…like you said: hunting should be a skill I should know to survive in your world."
He sighed, "yea…it is. It's how I survived while under the Queen's rule…way back when…"
I tilted my head, "Oh…" I looked down, breaking our eye contact for a moment.
"I figured…you should know these things…just in case," Toothless smiled, patting me on the back, "just looking out for you, Flint."
"And I appreciate it, Tooth…what now?"
"Now…you finish eating…it is YOUR meal, after all, you earned it" the dragon pointed down with his nose.
I moved closer to him in a kind gesture, "let's share…because you helped me get this far."
He smiled back at me, "okay."
…
Summers on Berk aren't so bad…heck…they're much better than the winters here that's for sure! Even though most days were under sixty degrees Fahrenheit and are cloudier than what I'm used to back home, I'm getting used to things here.
One thing of note, however: the sun is now out for MUCH longer than before. I suspect it's because of Berk's position in the arctic circle. Soon came the days when the sun never once fell below the horizon…the age of the Midnight Sun had begun.
At first, I didn't mind it, but soon I found it hard to sleep in this perpetual daylight…it turned out to be a nightmare. Either way, as in Winter: Toothless and Hiccup helped me, and I soldiered on…making it through the Summer Solstice on Berk.
This is also around the time Toothless and I first met Dagur the Deranged…
Let me tell you about this person…because he is anything but NOT deranged! He took his father's place and now leads the Berserker Tribe, a rival faction. Dagur is out for a thirst for blood and battle, unlike his dad. As soon as he landed on Berk's port, trouble landed beside him, for you see…he wanted violence and Hiccup had to quell the man as the dragons are hidden away from plain sight.
The issue involving him is soon resolved, however, thanks to a little deception tactic from Hiccup: by making the Berserkers believe Berk and the dragons were still enemies!
I got to tell you…once Dagur left the island, I gave the longest sigh of relief I have ever made in a long time.
Anyhow, my adventures with the dragons and Vikings continued. The Dragon Riders continued to improve as a team and so did I alongside them.
By now, mid to late Summer, I could now write some very simple sentences in Norse thanks to Hiccup's help. Toothless couldn't believe the progress and soon I would try teaching him; however, I rather perfect my Norse first before I do such a thing.
Anyways, time went on and on…each day with its own story. Often these stories were mundane, but others were filled with excitement along the way.
Something of note…a few weeks ago, Mildew was finally released from jail, but he was kept under close watch by the Vikings from now on (this will be important to remember.) We didn't really run into the Outcasts ever since the whole Heather incident, although they DID try to launch counterattacks, they often ended in them fleeing.
As time went by, I found myself helping the dragons in the village: teaching them how to read simple letters so they could understand instructions better from the Vikings. Though some hated the idea…others began learning, albeit very slowly. Toothless and his dragon entourage would go out of their way to help me eventually.
It wasn't long before I began trying to teach the Night Fury how to read and write Norse. It proved to be a battle since I was already acquainted with handwriting thus it was easier for me to learn, but for a natural-born dragon to learn…not so much.
The teen dragon could only manage to learn so much, so progress, as with everyone else, was ultimately slow for him.
Nevertheless, it did bring a smile to my face once I saw him write letters for the first time…even if they were sloppy and hard to read.
As for me: for the past several weeks I've been writing English in a journal. I shared my time as a human, my transformation into a dragon, my adventures with Toothless and the Berkians, and so much more. I guess I hoped that someday in the future…a modern archaeologist may find it and KNOW my story. That's if I NEVER get to leave here…plus…it helps to keep me busy and helps to keep my knowledge of English intact…after all: I'm the only one in this entire world who knows what English is…
Hiccup LOVED the idea…despite not knowing my native language, he absolutely was fascinated by the prospect of dragons writing. Once he started seeing Toothless write, he started building a prosthetic for Tooth to allow his dragon to write better.
By the time autumn hit and the climate began to welcome freezing temperatures again, Toothless and I ended up beside the cove again.
And here we are…standing over the place where he and I first met…exactly one year ago. So much has happened since then: Tooth and I getting acquainted…him showing me how to live like a dragon…meeting Hiccup…battling the Queen….saving the Queen…living on Berk…telling Toothless the truth, and so much more.
I never realized just how beautiful and peaceful this cove actually is…until we were both finally out of this damn place! The sun usually broke through the forest to create spectacular lights and shadows inside the hole, the pond usually sparkled during peak afternoon. The birds often would sing, and you could feel so much life around you. It felt like a haven from all the craziness that happens outside this place. I guess I didn't appreciate that from the cove up until now.
As we stare down the pit where we were four seasons ago, I am pulled away from my thoughts about the past by Toothless who's nuzzling me out of my trance, "you alright?"
"Y-yea…just reminiscing…"
"You too, huh? Man…so much as changed" Toothless muttered, noting my size difference compared to the day he met me.
I give a deep sigh. He's right. After a year of living in this world, I'm twice as big as I was when I first woke up in the cove. I am still small, but my growth within a year is still obvious to anyone who's known me. No one can carry me anymore and I'm now roughly fifteen feet in length about half of what Toothless currently is. It's clear by next year or the year after I might be almost his size!
"Time went by faster than I thought."
"Sure, feels that way" he scoffed under his breath, "I'm sorry you've been here for so long…" he shook his head in disappointment.
"Wha…oh come on, you know I like your company and everyone else's!"
"I suppose, but your family…your home…"
"What CAN I do?" I looked away, "I mean…nothing's come to light about why I'm here and every time we talk about it you and I get droopy!" I said quite darkly. Toothless couldn't help but nod, because it WAS true…
"Still…could be a lot worse" I chuckled, and he couldn't help but agree, "guess you're right, there."
"I'm going to check on Belin and the others, I'll be back" I said, unfurling my wings before he cooed at me, "get back safe, and tell them I said hi!" He said before I nodded.
Speaking of Dragon Island and the Ex-Queen: more and more dragons began co-existing there, and plants were growing all over the place! It seemed as though the location could very well be a paradise for dragons…thanks to the efforts of Galadriel the Ex-Queen and Belin the Terrible Terror.
I arrived there to be received with welcoming hands, or in this case…paws, and I talked for a while to the Queen and Belin…sharing my adventures with Toothless as of late.
This place, like the cove, really has become a respite from the craziness surrounding the Barbaric Archipelago. Unfortunately, paradise can sometimes be undone…by outside means. All it took was the Vikings to return to Dragon Island…and for someone else to end up there too.
It turned out that terrible events on this Island would soon unravel that would send me into yet another big adventure again…this time to save the Ex-Queen and Belin from certain death…now it was MY turn to save THEM like they saved me!
…
I hope you enjoyed this recent addition to the story! A note: I figured that because Mildew was imprisoned for so long, the events that led to the Series finale of Riders of Berk ('We are Family') did not occur. Because of this, Hiccup never found the fake "map to the island of Night Furies" that resulted in the plot of that episode. Keep that little detail in mind for Mildew because he may STILL have a role with the Outcasts or Berserkers in later chapters.
By this point in time, the next chapter focuses on episode 3 of Defenders of Berk S1 (The Night and the Fury). If you've seen the episode, then you would know that the Vikings went to Dragon Island to train and accidentally stumbled upon Dagur the Deranged. Since the Queen is still alive and the island is populated by her new followers, this next chapter ought to be interesting.
Unfortunately, I'm working on my next chapter to 50,000 Volts after this, so there won't be an update next week. The next update should be by July 22.
Until then, take care and see you next time, peace!
