Author notes: OK, hear me out, something important, partner Pokémon are special, they have moves of their own, they are stronger than normal Pokémon of their specious, and in the games, they did not get abilities, and I write this story for fun, and I do not regret what I am writing in this chapter about their abilities, It's my fiction logic, but don't worry, I'm not giving them Primordial Sea or something. I hope you will understand why I wrote this note in the start when you read the chapter.
Alright, this is the time when Partner Eevee learns his signature move: Vee Vee Volley. There is one, little, small, very small problem, I don't know what does it look like, neither do I know what the other eight look like, or Pika Papow or Partner Pikachu's other three moves.
What?
No, seriously, I searched the entire web, I even asked AI, I watched YouTube videos, I found nothing.
Ok, so anyone in the reviews, please describe the move in the chapter it is learned in, and we're all happy, right? I can update the chapters baste on the actual moves actions. At first, I said Vee Vee Volley was a move where Eevee bounces a sphere energy ball thing, then, I just made it look like Swift, because I don't know why.
OK, just describe the move's appearance, what does Eevee do, what does he blast for example, sparkling stars of energy, or something, and I update the chapter, simple, no people being angry, not that the story is interesting or anything, but no people getting angry at me, right?
Right?
Please say right!
Anyway here is the chapter.
Horizontal line. -
Pikachu: hello, viewers-
Author: Readers.
Eevee: last time, Red caught a weedle that evolved into kakuna, and Ash caught caterpie, and Leaf- caught meowth? Right? What are your plans for that?
Author: you shall wait and see, like the readers.
Eevee: but
Author: get back to narrating!
Eevee: right, meowth, what's her first catch by the way?
Pikachu: uh-, meowth?
Eevee: oh no no no I meant her actual usable Pokémon.
Author: get back to narrating, or you are not allowed to play outside for three hours.
Eevee: three hours? But that's too long, I mean, - and Red battled Brock the gym leader, and lost, what will happen? Read to find out.
Author: good Eevee! Here, have a cookie. 'Author gives Eevee a cookie'
Eevee: 'eats the cookie' mmm, yummy, more?
Author: no. Enjoy chapter 5, The First Gym Badges And Mount Moon.
Red was thinking about the events that had transpired, he, Ash and Leaf went to the gym, they met Brock, he agreed to battling Red, and Red lost.
And the worst part about it is that he could have easily prevented it.
After losing, Brock told Red that he can return for a rematch, and they went to the Pokémon Center and Red gave his Pokémon to Nurse Joy and went to the Waiting room to think.
`I could have caught more Pokémon, but I thought quantity over quality. I mean, it is a good point; I shouldn't just go out and catch all one hundred fifty-one Pokémon and try to train them, right? I could have caught fifty-one Pokémon. That-, I'm not limiting myself. But that's not the point of that, Pika got hurt for no reason, and I really should've prepared for the gym. I don't regret it, I'll just go train with Pika and Kakuna when they're better,` he thought. He then imagined himself looking at him, as if to say, Seriously? `I feel so bad for him, but I don't know what to do. I really should've caught more pok- no, quality, not quantity, remember?`
*Pokémon Center bell ringing*
hmm?
"Would trainer Red please come get his Pokémon?" the voice of nurse Joy was heard from the speakers all over the place.
Red got up, and went to the desk to get his Pokémon.
"I'm happy to say your Pokémon are fine," Joy said.
Red smiled, the bind did not hurt Pika that much after all. "Thanks Nurse Joy!"
Nurse Joy assured him that it was nothing and that his Pokémon were not in danger when he brought them to her, then he went to a room he asked for, to sleep in or put in his belongings while he is going somewhere, to talk with his Pokémon.
Red sent Kakuna out.
"Are you two OK?" Red asked, when the two nodded, he continued. "phew! Sorry you were squeezed like that Pika," the mouse said some pikachu speech. It appeared that he accepted. "So it's OK?" Red asked. The mouse nodded. "what about you Kakuna?" Red asked, and Kakuna did not reply, by body language at least, but that was what Red depended on. "I don't Really understand that, " he said. He needed to work on that if he wanted to become a Pokémon master. (That is his and Ash's goal, the two are literally counterparts)
"Pika, please tell me what's she saying," Red requested, and Pika motioned a She accepted too motion. "Positive, got it."
After seconds of silence.
"Would you two have a rematch if I asked you to?" the boy asked.
Kakuna did not move, but Pika motioned and sparked, nodding vigorously.
`So Pika wants to but Kakuna-`, "Does Kakuna want to?"
"Pika," Pika replied nodding.
Good.
"OK then, we're spending the whole day training," Red declared.
Do we have to? Pika motioned, although mostly making disappointed motions, Red understood.
"yes."
Pika nodded vigorously again.
Red checked his pokédex for moves that could help them against Brock's ground-type Pokémon, of course, he found nothing for Kakuna, but to Pika, he shockingly found some cool ones, Iron Tail, surf? `Wait what? Pikachu learn surf? Seriously, who's next, rhydon?`
`It can can't it?`
"Pika?" Red asked.
"mm?" Pika wondered, looking searchingly at Red.
"Did you see any pikachu use Surf in your life?" Red asked.
"no-o-o?" Pika replied.
"it says here that pikachu can learn Surf if the right actions? Are done."
"What?"
"What actions?"
"No clue ," he shrugged.
"well, would you like to try it?"
"No," Pika shook his head.
"I'll just check more moves on the pokédex."
Charge, Tickle, Flail, Trailblaze? `what's that?` Mega Punch `I knew it,` toxic. (All of these are legitimate moves Pikachu can learn by the way, from egg moves, to TMs, and level -ups)
Pika the pikachu may unlock the move Volt Tackle. (Anime and fiction logic)
"OK, so Iron Tail for now."
"you're done?" Pika asked.
"Iron Tail, that's what I want you to practice, OK?" Red told Pika.
"Yeah," Pika nodded. "How?"
Red did not know.
The next few hours were spent figuring out how to learn Iron Tail.
It was hard.
They concluded that it was hitting a rock very, very hard.
"*gasp*," Pika gritted his teeth. "ow." It was not working.
Red sighed. "This isn't working."
"Maybe a smaller rock?" Pika suggested.
"Hey there, young man! My name is Flint, and I couldn't help but notice you two working on that Iron Tail move. Mind if I join in?" a voice asked.
Red turned around and saw an older man with a rugged appearance and a friendly smile, he nodded to him. "Please do. Pika's trying hard but it's not working, I don't know what to do."
"Hm," the man, Flint, nodded. "Alright, here, try it on this rock," he pulled a rock from his backpack and handed it to Pika. "A smaller rock might help."
Red kept looking at the man.
"what?" the man asked.
"You carry rocks in your backpack?" Red asked.
"I mean, I sell them."
"you sell rocks?"
" souvenirs, Because Pewter is a rock-type City."
Red decided to `just move on`. "alright, Pika, Iron tail!"
"Right!" Pika said, and swung his tail with all his might. "OW!" It did not work, Pika felt pain, he felt the rock had attacked him, instead of the obvious opposite. "It's still not working."
"Ah, I see, your pikachu seems to not use steel-type energy in his attack, he thinks it's just using his tail to smash rocks," Flint explained.
"Wait a minute, it's a steel-type move? How am I supposed to know how steel energy is used?" Pika said, frustrated.
Red unknowingly repeated Pika's question, though in a calmer way.
"Steel-type energy is all about focus and precision. You need to channel your energy into your tail and focus on it and harden it like steel. It takes practice, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it," Flint explained encouragingly.
"Give it another shot," Red ordered, he put the rock in front of Pika. "Come on, close your eyes," Pika did. "Focus on the rock, you know where it is," Pika did, and he did as Red told him, every single word. "focus your energy into your tail, imagine it hardening like steel, like a big metallic door or something. And STRIKE!"
Suddenly, Pika's tail started glowing in a metallic color, and he felt it, the steel-type energy, the tail glowing increased, increased, and increased. Pika swung his tail where he remembered Red had put the rock, sure it will be broken. "IRON TAIL!"
Instead of hitting the rock, his tail hit the ground, and he was sent flying.
"woah!" Red said in wonder.
Pika landed, and his eyes were already open. "Can someone tell me how did I fly? I wasn't using the move, I don't even think pikachu learn that." (Tell that to generation 1)
"Pika, that was amazing!" Red said.
"huh?" Pika asked, slightly confused, when he looked back, he saw Red approaching him from a distance. Wait, from a distance? How far did he fly?
"You just used Iron Tail!" Red congratulated.
"I did? I DID! I REALLY DID!" Pika exclaimed.
"Good job you two," Flint praised.
"thanks," Pika and Red replied.
"Hm," Flint nodded with a smile. "Now remember, practice the move, you don't wanna forget it after an hour or so," he advised.
"right," Pika nodded.
He successfully used Iron Tail on the rock, splitting it in half, but he struggled to utilize the move again.
"Oh come on," he groaned.
"What now?" Red asked.
"Now, he only needs to get used to building the energy quickly without getting tired," Flint responded.
"This is the hard part isn't it?"
Flint nodded.
"*sigh*."
They practiced the rest of the day, and they also thanked Flint.
They practiced the next day too, but a certain ten-year-old like Red insisted to go and his two, no, three Pokémon agreed to train.
What does training look like?" Caterpie asked.
"You just, I dunno, train, and, train, it's training, you use moves and stuff, I don't know how to describe that OK?" Pika answered.
"You just did," Eevee pointed out.
"I- uh, huh, yeah, I did," Pika realized.
"Can pikachu learn Iron Tail?" Ash asked Red.
"I literally said `We're practicing Iron tail.`," Red explained.
"Can –my- pikachu learn it?"
"Pikachu can learn it, yes."
"Alright, pikachu, you can learn Iron Tail. Isn't that awesome?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, it's amazing," Pikachu said, nodding vigorously and starting to bounce with excitement.
"Hmmm," Red hummed thoughtfully. "You know what? This could work."
"What?" Ash asked.
"Pika learned Iron Tail, and the best way to show yours how to use it is by a battle," Red said, determination in his voice.
"a-a battle? With you?" Ash asked.
"What's wrong with that?"
"yeah Ash, I beat him easily two years ago," Eevee said. "I think it's time for Pikachu to try."
"well, it's nothing really," Ash replied to Red. " it's just memories, remember when you beat everyone with the Pokémon that professor Oak gives you Without giving them orders?"
Red remembered. "Oh, that, honestly I don't know how I do that, I just do it, it's kinda-"
"The battle," Pika reminded, using body language.
"Oh yeah."
"Looks like Pika's excited to battle too," Ash chuckled.
"Hmm," Red nodded.
Both moved to make some distance between each other.
"Ready?" Red asked.
"Yup!" Ash replied.
"Alright," Red ordered Pika to use Quick Attack.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt," Ash called.
"THUNDER, BOLT, GO!" Pikachu exclaimed, releasing electricity.
But instead of Thunderbolt, it was Thunder Shock. Pikachu tried his best, increasing the power, redirecting the attack, focusing on his tail, and even stopping and restarting the attack, but it remained Thunder Shock.
"Oh come on, Thunderbolt, just this once, *gah* come on," Pikachu tried, gritting his teeth and shaking, it was still a Thunder Shock. "*sigh*, I give up."
"Ow, that was even worse than the spearow attack," Pika shouted in pain. "That was Thunder Shock?"
"That was Thunder Shock?" Red asked.
"I told him to use Thunderbolt," Ash explained.
"I'm not an expert, but I think that was Thunder Shock," Caterpie said. Pikachu nodded. "Oh."
"Pretty sure that was Thunder Shock," Red said. "Right Pikachu?"
Pikachu nodded, then gave Ash an apologetic look. "Yeah, sorry."
"It's OK Pikachu, but why won't you use Thunderbolt?" Ash wondered.
"It's not working," Pikachu replied. `How am I supposed to tell them that,` he thought.
"You're sure he knows it?" Red asked.
"yeah, I'm sure, he used it against the spearow flock," Ash replied.
Red thought, `So Pikachu used Thunderbolt, or an electric attack like it, to save Ash, in that storm, wait,`
(It has something to do with Lightning Rod and few other certain abilities that use electricity)
"Ash? I think I know why," Red said.
"Why?" Ash asked.
"Lightning Rod," Red replied.
"Lightning what?" Ash asked, confused.
"It's one of Pikachu's abilities," Red explained. "Pikachu attracts electric attacks towards himself, making him immune and absorbing the energy to boost his own attacks."
"Wow, that's amazing! But how'd you know?" Ash asked.
"You told me that Pikachu used Thunderbolt while you were battling the Spearow, and it was raining back then, there was thunder and lightning, so I think Pikachu used his Lightning Rod ability to draw in the electricity then he was able to use Thunderbolt ," Red explained. "Or at least what you thought Thunderbolt, it was a big Thunder Shock."
"Wait no, I'm sure it was Thunderbolt,- or am I?" Pikachu said.
"Well what do we do then?" Ash asked.
"We practice!" Red said enthusiastically. "Pikachu, I think it's time for you to learn Thunderbolt for real this time. And with your Lightning Rod ability, you'll be even more powerful!"
"Yeah, let's do it," Pikachu declared.
"Alright, but first, let's test this, also let's finish our battle," Red remembered, then ordered Pika to use Thunder Shock, and Pika did.
"Why would you- oh, PIKACHU use, I mean, ATTRACT THE ELECTRICITY," Ash commanded.
It worked.
"Hey, that's nice," Pikachu said happily, feeling stronger, but also, he felt healthier.
(I gave him Electric Absorb too, don't tell me he can absorb electricity to increase his power and he can't absorb it to regain health, and don't worry, I'm not making him OP(Overpower,) I want to do the same with partner Eevee, and also don't worry, he won't be OP, neither will Ash.)
Red ordered Pika to use Iron Tail. Pika's tail glowed a metallic color, and with steel-type energy in it, he struck Pikachu.
"Ow," Pikachu said, tumbling to the ground.
Red ordered a Quick Attack.
"DODGE IT PIKACHU!" Ash warned.
"got it," Pikachu dodged.
"Use Thunder Shock," Ash called.
Red ordered a dodge. Pika dodged.
"Thunder Shock, bigger one, ha," called Pikachu, then he sent a bolt of electricity, but smaller than Thunderbolt, towards Pika, whom Red told to try and block with Iron Tail.
It worked, mostly.
The attack did not harm Pika too much, it was simply a jolt of electricity when it passed through Pika's Iron Tail.
"You're doing good, it's almost Thunderbolt," Eevee cheered.(No, no it is not)
"yeah," Pikachu nodded.
"Use it again," Ash called.
"go, go, GO," Pikachu called.
Iron Tail, was Red's order. Pika used it.
Both Pokémon's attacks stopped each other.
A net came from somewhere and headed towards the two Pokémon. The two got trapped in the net.
"I think we can call this a draw, eh?" a familiar male voice asked.
Team Rocket.
"What are you three doing here," Ash asked, anger slowly becoming his emotion.
"We came to steel your Pokémon of course," Meowth said.
"so prepare for them to be stolen," James said, Jessie gave him a look. "I mean prepare for trouble."
"make it double," Jessie said.
"to protect the world "-
…
"Why did we listen to them?" Ash wondered.
"It's good to show some respect to them," Red answered, sarcasm in his voice. "Even if they're stupid and evil."
"Hey, take dat back!" Meowth shouted. "I'm not dat evil!"
"Really!?" Ash asked.
Meowth nodded.
"That's nice," Red said, unable to care less, then he ordered Pika to use Thunder Shock.
"AHHH," the trio yelled in pain.
The human grunts blasted off. "We're blasting off again."(Next time, they should get a net that does not allow the usage of electricity by pa pokémon)
*a twinkle appeared*
Free yourself, was Red's order. Pika obeyed. Free Ash's pikachu. Pika did so.
"Ash!" Pikachu exclaimed upon being released, and ran to hug Ash afterwards.
"Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed, hugging his Pikachu when he reached him. Pikachu hugged him as well, in a Pikachu way. "Alright, Meowth? You're coming with us."
Ash and Red did not finish their battle.
Red realized the problem with Iron Tail, Pika could not use it more than three, maybe four, times. Uh-oh! This was bad, he needed Pika to know the move to defeat Brock. `…, …, maybe I should use it only once, maybe when Onix uses Bind? …, yeah, I think that can work,` he thought.
"Ready for a rematch against Onix?" he asked Pika, who nodded excitedly.
"Pika, pi pikachu," Pika said.
"uh, I assume that's a yes."
"Pika," Pika replied.
"Yes," Meowth answered.
"Meowth? What are you doing here? I thought you were with Leaf," Red asked, surprised.
"She's behind ya," the cat replied.
"huh?" Red looked behind him. "Oh, did you buy a map?"
"yup," Leaf answered, pulling her map, then she showed it to Red, who smiled. "That doesn't mean I'm traveling alone, I always wanted company on my journey, so."
Red smiled. "Welcome Green."
"Pika, pi pika pikachu," Pika said.
"What do ya mean ya wanna challenge me as a welcome to her?" Meowth asked, frustrated.
"Pi ka chu," Pika replied.
"No, I agreed because your kinda nice, not to battle," Meowth retorted.
"Meowth, Fury Swipes," Leaf ordered jokingly.
"Don't order me," Meowth said.
"Pi ka chu chu, pi ka chu chu," Pika teased.
"yeah, she is my trainer," Meowth said. "Not to the point of obedience."
"Pi?"
"Dat does make sense!"
"Pi ka," Pikachu requested. "Pika pi pikachu?"
"when are ya going to challenge the gym," Meowth asked, translating.
"right now, ASH, GET YOUR POKÉDEX ALREADY," Red called.
"COMING," Ash's voice replied.
"Where does he put his pokédex? We were just a day and a half in the city and he can't find it," Eevee said.
"Why does he need it anyway? It's useless," Pikachu commented.
"Found it," Ash said.
Then they got down, met with Red and Leaf, and went to the gym.
"Pikachu again?" Brock asked, looking at Red, after he sent out his Pikachu.
"Hmmm," Red nodded. "He wants a rematch with Onix."
"Oh I see," Brock said, understanding. "Do you have a plan?"
"You'll have to wait and see."
"alright then, ONIX GO!" Brock sent Onix out.
"OOON," Onix roared.
"Pi ka," Pikachu said sparking.
"Ooon," Onix replied.
"BATTLE BEGIN ," Brock called.
Pikachu darted forward with Quick Attack, aiming to strike Onix before it could react. However, Onix had already anticipated the attack and nimbly dodged to the side, causing Pikachu to miss its target.
"Onix, use Skull Bash," Brock ordered. Onix charged forward, its rocky head glowing with power. Pikachu attempted to dodge, but Onix was too fast, and its head collided with Pikachu's side, sending the electric mouse flying.
"PIKA," the mouse cried.
"Now ROCK THROW!"
"OON," the rock snake roared, sending a barrage of boulders raining down on Pikachu.
"This is bad," Ash commented concernedly from the sidelines.
"Don't give up Pika, remember, we both trained together so you can beat the big snake," Pikachu called.
"Onix, use Dig," Brock ordered. Onix roared, then dug a hole, then disappeared into it.
' Watch out! It can come out almost anywhere, ' Was Red's warning to Pika.
Red watched the battlefield, intensely, waiting for any movement from underground.
"Now," Brock ordered, and Red realized too late that he meant 'Now attack Pikachu'. Onix came out under Pika, and hit the mouse Pokémon with a super-effective dig, which made the mouse squeal in pain.
"Onix, finish this with Bind," Brock ordered.
"Hahahaha, this oughtta be fun," Onix roared, terrifyingly.
Red watched in horror as Onix lunged forward, wrapping its massive body around Pika's small form. Pika squirmed and struggled, trying to break free, but Onix's grip was too strong.
Pika was feeling exhausted already, and he did not like it one bit. He struggled even more to try and break free, but Onix was not even feeling anything. He felt that feeling when Red ordered something, 'Iron Tail, I know you're tired, and newly learned it, but you gotta try and use it.' He knew Red was right, so he stopped struggling.
He felt more pain. He did not let that stop him, he stopped struggling to build up energy, and he is not giving up.
"Pika, you can do it," Eevee called from the sidelines.
`Eevee's right. I can do it, I just have to remember, OK, first, focus, next build up energy,` Pika thought, doing as he thinks. `then, imagine my energy turning to steel-type energy In my tail, actually building up energy in my tail, and I'll crush that snake!`
"IRON, TAIL!" Pika cried, then his tail started to glow a metallic color, and he struck Onix with his Iron Tail. He felt Onix's grip get less powerful, so he did the move again.
"*raaaooor*," Onix roared in pain, stopping the Bind attack, he could not keep it any longer. "Oow!"
"alright," Ash exclaimed with his two Pokémon and Leaf.
"Phew," Meowth sighed. "for a second dere I tought Pikachu was done for da count."
"Pika, you just, you just mastered Iron Tail didn't you!?" Red asked.
"Yeah!" Pika said tiredly.
"awesome, now show 'em what you've got," Red said with determination. Iron Tail, he ordered.
"Slam," Brock ordered.
"Slaaa-"
"Take this," Pika said, striking the Iron Tail, not letting Onix finish.
"AHHH," Onix roared.
"ha, that'll teach you."
"Slaaam," Onix Roared, slamming Pikachu.
"I take it back, I-" Pika stopped. Red ordered a Quick Attack to get away.
Once Onix was not on top of him, Pika dashed away with Quick Attack.
'Run to the other side, turn, gather enough energy, and Quick Attack him,' was Red's command to Pika, who did as commanded, despite his wish not to, but before he reached Onix.
"Jump!" Red called, speaking. The mouse did jump, 'Now use your momentum and speed to finish Onix with Iron Tail,' commanded Red, Pika understood, and did as commanded.
"Rock Throw," Brock called, before Pika used the Iron Tail, Onix obeyed, and a barrage of rocks and boulders hit Pika.
That did not stop the mouse though. He continued building up his energy, and struck Onix as a rock struck him. A very, very powerful strike. Pika felt he was about to fall.
He remembered how Onix defeated him in the previous battle. He remembered this battle, all of it. He remembered all the effort he put, that he mastered Iron Tail for this, and refused to fall.
His entire body was shaking, and all of his focus was on staying standing.
"Hey, you're strong!" Onix said, surprising Pika. "ah," he closed his eyes. "you win."
"thanks," Pika said shakily.
"ohh! Wow, you defeated Onix with three moves," Brock said, surprised, then he remembered he needed to call the winner. "Onix is unable to battle, so you win, congratulations Red," he walked over to Red and congratulated him on his victory, "That was a great battle. Your Pikachu is truly impressive. You've earned the Boulder Badge!" he then pulled out a badge and handed it to Red.
Once Pika heard this, he collapsed from exhaustion.
Ash and Leaf walked up to Red, cheering. "That was amazing, Red! You and Pikachu make a great team!" Ash exclaimed.
"Yeah, totally," Leaf added.
"Thanks," Red said, likely not realizing he and Pika had just one.
"Red, earth to Red, at least put the Boulder Badge in your pocket," Ash said, waving.
"Oh, WAIT! WE WON!" Red exclaimed.
"Yeah."
Red smiled, then called for Pika. "Pika, you did it," Pika got up, walked to Red, and barely made it to him before falling, Red realized that he was tired.
Brock had potions, so he healed Pikachu. Afterward, he invited the group to his house, which was located behind the gym where he lived with his nine siblings. Brock cooked delicious food, and everyone enjoyed the meal. Brock was friendly outside of gym battles. Ash told him that he wanted to have a battle with him today. Brock agreed, and his nine siblings decided to cheer him on in the gym battle.
On the battlefield, Brock and Ash stood on opposite sides, just like in the battle between Brock and Red. Pikachu and Eevee were on Ash's shoulders, while Red replaced Ash on the sidelines. Brock's siblings cheered loudly.
"Alright, alright, I get it, you want me to win, but could you please calm down a little bit? I don't think pikachu and eevee like high sounds, they have sensitive ears," Brock requested.
"Sorry," all his siblings apologized in unison, then whispered their cheers.
"not that much-, you know what? That's good, I can focus better this way," Brock said, he turned to Ash after. "It's a one on one, like Red's, I'll be using Onix," he sent out the Rock snake Pokémon. "Now, please choose your Pokémon ."
"Right, alright, who wants to battle?" he asked his partner Pokémon.
"Eevee?" Pikachu said.
"Don't tell me you don't wanna battle, Onix defeated Pika, didn't you want to get your pride back or something?" Eevee asked.
"Pika's Red's Pokémon, and he won afterwards, so you can go."
"OK then, I WANNA BATTLE!"
"Eevee, I choose you!" Ash called, understanding Eevee's message.
"Eevee!" Eevee cried, jumping onto the battlefield.
"Quick Attack!" Ash called.
"here I come," Eevee said, he dashed towards Onix, and struck the ground-type hard.
"Ow," Onix roared.
"Onix, Slam go!" Brock ordered.
"SLAAM," Onix roared, then went to slam Eevee.
"Dodge then use Swift," Ash called, and Eevee obeyed. He avoided the Slam, and concentrated on Onix. Energy stars were blasted towards the latter, and made contact of course.
"Onix dodge them," one of Brock's siblings warned, but Onix stood still as the stars hit him, trying its best to not roar. "Why won't he dodge them."
"He can't," Red replied, not responding to any further questions.
"Keep it up," Ash told Eevee.
"right," Eevee said, he then concentrated harder, and the stars became stronger and faster, causing Onix to roar in pain.
"Rock Throw!" Brock ordered.
"Hah, now that's more like it," Onix said recovering. "Normal-type swift versus rock-type Swift."
"Wait what? Rock Throw isn't a Rock-type s-," Eevee was interrupted when a rock hit him. "Ow!"
"I throw rocks you throw stars what's the difference?" Onix explained.
"Ow, ow ow, stop it rocks," Eevee raged. "You little, giant, annoying, little, things you-"
"Pick one, little or giant?" Onix joked, sending more rocks at Eevee.
"Try using Double Team to confuse him," Ash called.
"Right," Eevee obeyed, and seven copies of him appeared, confusing Onix. "Right""Right""Right""Right""Right""Right""Right", his copies repeated.
"One or eight, you'll still take the hits, *roar*!" Onix roared.
Onix hit a copy. "*frustrated roar*," he roared.
"See? That's what I mean, rocks can't know who's the real eevee," one eevee said.
"You are *roar*," Onix snapped.
"No," the eevee copy replied before vanishing as Onix attempted to slam it.
All the eevee giggled.
"Swift!" Ash called.
"Onix, use Rock Throw around yourself," Brock ordered.
"Onix ," Onix threw rocks around himself, which exploded the stars upon contact.
"What?!" Ash asked. "How?"
"Pokémon battling isn't just about calling moves, it's also about strategy, and using logic," explained Brock.
"Oh," Ash realized, thinking of a way to counter the strategy.
Eevee stopped the Swift to rest, which was a big mistake.
"ONIX, NOW WHILE HE'S NOT USING SWIFT, USE ROCK THROW ON HIM," Brock ordered.
"OOON," Onix roared, sending the rocks being thrown towards the evolution Pokémon, who looked in shock as his Double Team copies disappeared, then the rocks came his way. "Now I know which one is the real one," Onix said Intimidatingly.
"Eevee, look out!" Pikachu shouted from Ash's shoulder.
"Quick Attack!" Ash called out, having noticed everything, while making a plan in his mind. Eevee obeyed, and used the move, he dashed with quick speed Onix's way. "Go right!" Eevee redirected his attack. "Now jump!" Ash ordered, to which Eevee responded by jumping above the rocks. "Again," Eevee did it again, and found himself close to Onix. "Now while running, Double Team," Eevee understood, and made ten copies of himself, and all of them ran around Onix.
"Onix, throw rocks-, you know what? No,USE DIG," Brock ordered. And with a roar, Onix obeyed, digging a hole and jumping in it.
"Eevee, Stay on guard, it could come out from anywhere," Ash warned.
"right," Eevee said, moving around with his copies.
"His Double Team won't protect him," Brock said, smirking.
"What?" Ash asked. "Why?"
"ONIX, NOW!" Brock ordered, a second later, Onix came out under Eevee and struck him a ground-type strike. Causing the Pokémon to yell in pain.
"AHHH," Eevee yelled.
"Now Slam!" Brock called.
"SLAM!" Onix roared.
"EEVEE," Pikachu and Ash shouted in concern as they saw Eevee get crushed under Onix's giant body.
"Double Team to the rescue," Eevee's copies shouted, then they hit Onix with a barrage of Quick attacks. Sure, the damage was minimal because they are copies, but it stopped Onix. He wanted to protect himself from the five out of six copies of Eevee. Once they made contact, the copies disappeared.
However, Eevee had already gotten away from Onix. He and his last Double Team copy ran from place to place in the battlefield, in opposite directions.
" Skull Bash," Brock ordered.
"*roar*," Onix roared, then tugged its head and toughened itself, then attacked the real Eevee with its skull. Sending the latter flying and crying its name.
"*gasp*," Eevee gritted his teeth, once he landed. "Ow, I don't blame Pika for losing now."
"Eevee, don't give up, never give up," Pikachu called.
"Right, never give up till it's over," Eevee remembered.
Suddenly, Eevee felt a surge of power inside him, and only he and Pikachu knew what it meant. He used Double Team without Ash's command.
"Hmm?" Pikachu wondered. "Wait, I know what he's…"
"Yeah," Eevee replied resolutely.
Eevee leaped in the air, and forward towards Onix he moved. His body started to glow with a bright light, and his determined eyes showed Onix what he had put itself into. With a battle cry, Eevee shot a burst of stars made of energy, just like Swift, but with more bright light engulfing them. With every star, Eevee thought of how he wanted to impress Ash, his trainer, his friend, the best. The light energy stars headed Onix's direction, but the Rock Snake Pokémon did not react, it, and every creature, human and Pokémon, were stunned by the display of power, nobody thought that the move was Swift, it was not Swift, it was like Swift. The ground-type was forced back to reality when the first star hit it. the second, third, and so on continued to hit it, and they came with lots of rocks from their way towards it. Rocks were crushed, Onix was destroyed, and the gym was echoed its roar of pain. Dust covered the battlefield, and the last star finally hit the Pokémon, it, again, roared and.
*BOOM*
When the dust cleared, Onix was knocked out.
"Ohh!" Brock and his siblings gasped.
"uh *ahem*, O-Onix is unable to battle, which means the victory goes to you Ash," Brock declared loudly, then he returned Onix.
Brock's siblings did not like that.
"NO WAY."
"YOU CAN'T JUST WIN LIKE THIS."
"YEAH, BROCK RAISED ONIX FROM WHEN HE WAS TEN , TEN."
"Whoa, calm down, all of you," Brock started. "Ash won this fairly, he didn't cheat. I just lost a battle, that means Ash is strong, and it doesn't automatically make Onix weak or something," he walked to Ash's side of the battlefield. "Here, you won this fair and square," he pulled out a Boulder Badge and extended his hand.
"Uh," Ash hesitated, looking at the badge in Brock's hand. "No."
"Hmm?" Brock asked in confusion.
"I can't take the badge, they're right. Eevee did that … move, I don't even know what it is, and that on its own is enough to prove I don't deserve the badge," Ash said, and with that he turned and left the gym, pikachu on his shoulder, and Eevee following him.
"Ash wait!" Leaf called.
"Yup, definitely deserves it," Brock informed. "You stay here while I go give him his badge, OK?" he told his siblings, who nodded.
He, Red and Leaf followed Ash out of the gym, and saw him talking with Pikachu and Eevee.
"-amazingly strong! It was super awesome," he was making the unknown move's actions with Pikachu and Eevee. "Too bad we couldn't get the badge though."
"Oh yeah, why?" Pikachu asked, motioning.
"I can't take the badge if Eevee uses a move I don't know and isn't recognized in the pokédex and without my command, or me knowing it at least, that's just.. wrong, so I couldn't accept-" Ash was interrupted by both of his Pokémon shaking their heads no. "guys Don't deny it."
That was when Brock decided to talk. "That's not true Ash," he started, Ash looked at him and hummed questioningly, so Brock continued. "While it's true eevee used the move, whatever it was without you knowing, but Eevee did know it, and it defeated Onix, and I'm sure whatever that move was, you now know of it… well, kinda. So you one that badge fair and square."
"I-I dunno," Ash hesitated. "It's just, I, lived with these two" he pointed at his starters "for two years, and I didn't even know Eevee could do that and-"
"How can you know when they barely battled?" Red interrupted.
"Yeah, he's right Ash," Leaf added.
"And besides, I have a dream to become a Pokémon breeder someday, so I read lots of books about raising Pokémon and taking care of them, and from what I've seen, you take care of the two very well," Brock said. "They're well fed, well trained and everything, And for only that, I'm allowed to give you the badge."
"Really?" Ash said, with hope.
"Here you go," Brock said, handing the badge to Ash. "Congratulations on winning the Boulder Badge!"
Ash looked at the badge in his hand, feeling proud of himself. He turned to Brock with a smile on his face. "Thanks Brock! And I promise I'll keep taking good care of Pikachu and Eevee," he said.
"Hmm," Brock hummed affirmatively.
Silence.
"Brock?" Ash said.
"hmm?"
"You said you wanna become a Pokémon breeder, right?"
"yes?"
"well, we've just started our journey, and, we're traveling around Kanto and meet lots of Pokémon so, how about you travel with us?"
Brock hesitated for a moment, thinking about what Ash had said. "I don't know Ash. I have responsibilities at home. My siblings need me."
"Brock, you go achieve your dreams," a voice said.
Everyone turned around to see a tall, muscular man with a rugged beard and a bandana around his head walking towards them, he revealed himself once they turned. Flint!
"Dad!?" Brock asked. "What are you doing here."
"There we go, family business," Pika said. "Wait a minute, Dad? That's –his- dad?"
"You're Brock's dad?" Red asked, surprised.
"hmm," Brock answered Red instead of Flint. "That's my dad. Who left home a long time ago."
"yes, I'm the good-for-nothing failure. I know I haven't been the best father to you, Brock. I left you and your siblings behind to chase my own dreams, but I failed. I never became the great Pokémon Trainer I wanted to be. I've always felt like a good-for-nothing failure, and that's why I never came back," Flint said, ashamed.
"You lived near your son and sell rocks, and you never even said hi to him?" Red asked scoldingly.
Flint looked down, ashamed. "I know it's not an excuse, but I was too ashamed to face him after all those years. But seeing you here, Brock, and hearing you talk about your dream, it made me realize that I can't run away from my failures forever. I want to make it up to you and be a better father, so you can go with your new friends, I'll take care of my kids."
"First, there's something important I have to tell you," Brock said with seriousness the group did not see him with before, even in the gym battles. (mostly because they saw him for like four hours including Red's matches)
"I'm willing to accept whatever you wanna say sun. After all these years –" Flint was interrupted and handed a piece of paper. "uh…"
"Suzy always rips her dresses so you better learn to sew instead of selling rocks," he started, then he continued giving his dad a barrage of advice about his siblings to take care of them. So just to fill the chapter.
"Well, he left for a while, he kinda needs dis stuff," Meowth said.
"Agreed," Eevee supported.
"yup," Pikachu added.
"Brock, slow down, I can't write that fast," Flint pleaded.
"Leaf?" Ash said.
"Yeah?" Leaf looked at Ash.
"What about you, you're challenging the gym?" Ash asked.
Brock paused giving notes to his dad, looked at the group and said, "She can battle my dad, he's the original gym leader here."
"but," Flint said. "But I just said I'm not a strong Pokémon trai-"
"Use the gym Pokémon," Brock replied. "Now get back to writing, Sandi"…
"Yup, I'm challenging it," Leaf said.
"Oh, cool, uh, so do we wait for you? You're traveling with us?" Ash asked with hope.
"Yeah, I'm traveling with you. I bought the map, but I like company, so," she replied.
"Alright!" Ash exclaimed.
"Excuse me, trying to give notes here, and don't leave without me," Brock said, then finished telling his dad the notes.
"Oh, you're coming too? This is the best!" Ash exclaimed.
(Before continuing, I planned to make Eevee use "Vee Vee Volley", but the problem is I never knew what the move "Vee Vee Volley" looks like, so I improvised. If anyone knows what the actual "Vee Vee Volly" looks like, please tell me in the reviews, I can't just keep improvising you know., the next chapter I'm making him learn Buzzy Buzz)

Leaf's battle was won easily by her Bulbasaur, and she was handed the Boulder badge.
Brock told his siblings about his dad being back, and him leaving, here is how it went.
"I have good news-"
"And bad news," his siblings finished.
"The good news first please," one of his brothers said.
"Dad's back!" Brock said with a smile.
"YAY," his siblings cheered.
"*Ahem*! the bad news is I'm leaving," Brock continued.
"NOOO," his siblings cried.
"But dad's back," Brock said.
"YAY!" they exclaimed.
"Hello everyone," Flint greeted, entering the house.
He could not be seen after his kids all covered him in a very emotional hug, including Brock. The rest is family business.
The next morning, Ash, Red, Leaf, and Brock were ready to leave. Brock said his goodbyes, and Ash spent the entire time talking about his and Red's battles, especially Eevee's move. They bought the needed supplies, and they were on the road.
"So where to next?" Ash asked.
"Cerulean City," Red replied. "here," he showed Ash the map. "We're here, we go here, pass through Mount Moon, and here's Cerulean."
"Oh, cool," Ash said. "Uh, how long'll that take?"
"Maybe three days."
"WHAT?!"
"We're gonna train you know."
"Oh, OK," Ash said, suddenly changing from concern to optimism.
"Get back here," a man shouted, chasing a Pokémon.
"Make me," the Pokémon said in its language, running on the mountain.
"Fire Spin now!" the man shouted. The Pokémon looked back, and saw an intense spiral of fire heading towards it. `oh please,` it simply flew, no, it transformed and then flew. Making fun of the man behind him. It kept flying above the man.
"Oh, now a Pidgeot, a very improve powered Pidgeot. *sigh* Ditto, please get down," the man pleaded.
`Aw, he said please.` "OK, you convinced me," Ditto said, making an apologizing face, and flying down towards the man.
"Wait, what? I just had to ask?"
Ditto nodded.
The man looked thoughtful for a moment. "Huh, that could work. Well, my name is Petrel, I love disguising, and you're literally the master of disguise and transformation, so would you like to join me?"
"Hmm, well, your obviously interesting, no," Ditto shook its head, it always liked to make fun of those who try to get it back to Team Rocket.
"well you're joining anyway," Petrel threw a pokéball at ditto.
"Now now, play nice," Ditto transformed into Ninetales, the Pokémon that used Fire Spin earlier. "Fire Spin!" He let out a swirl of fire, and directed it towards Petrel, who was shocked by the sudden change of personality.
Ninetales jumped in front of Petrel, trapping itself in the fire instead of the former.
"Oh come on," Petrel groaned, sad that Ninetales was easily trapped like that.
"That's what you get for working with Team Rocket. Also," Ditto transformed into Petrel. "Also thanks for making me OP, I don't just disguise as Pokémon now," it turned and ran away. "What a nice guy, he was fun- Ooh, Mount Moon, I wanna go in." he said mischievously, spotting the cave in Mount Moon.
Petrel saw Ditto In Mount Moon again, he was heading there with some grunts to get the moon stone anyway. `Or was that Jessie and James's job? Nah, if I find it I get it- Oh yeah the fossils,` he was going to dig for fossils.
"Oh hi," ditto greeted happily, still in Petrel's form.
Petrel looked at him. "DITTO? What? How? When?-"
"who? Which? Why? Where," Ditto said, imitating the shocked expression on real Petrel's face.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you wanna run away or something?" Petrel asked, annoyed.
"Yeah, to Mount Moon, it's so cool. There are clefairy and cleffa and clefable and-"
"you're gonna name all the Pokémon in the cave?"
"Yeah, they're amazing, the clefairy and cleffa and clefable and-"
"Alright alright fine, do that," Petrel turned to the grunts. " if you try to catch him, he just runs away, so don't bother. Let's go."
A grunt, Grunt 1, was confused, "Why did he say clefairy first? Cleffa is the first evelu-"
"LET's, *sigh* let's just go do our mission," Petrel commanded.
Grunt 2 asked, "why do you keep calling it him, is it male?"
"Yes, I am male," Ditto confirmed as an answer much to Petrel's annoyance, he just wanted to get rid of this thing, seeing his annoyance made Ditto continue. "But seriously, you guys need to see the Pokémon in the cave, there are-"
"LET's GO," Petrel shouted, this thing was really embarrassing him right then.
He led the grunts through the cave, they had a mission to do, and an escaped ditto is not stopping him.
"Be careful of the zubat!" Ditto called, or as he put it, the annoying Ditto that was disguised as him said. "You kinda made them annoyed so-"
"Shut up," Petrel interrupted.
"OK," Ditto replied happily. Petrel then saw a flash, and did not here Ditto talk afterward, so he realized that the latter transformed and was not being him anymore.
"finally," Petrel said, frustrated.
*Chittering*
"Uh-oh," every human said, worried.
Soon they were surrounded by zubat, and afterward attacked too.
Petrel wished that he listened to Ditto while he was talking, and that he did not shout.
It took half a day for the group to reach Mount Moon, including eating breakfast, lunch, and training.
"We need three days?" Ash said sarcastically.
"Ash I'm not a robot, I thought that because," Red said, then thought. "Why did I think we needed three days?"
"I dunno," Ash said.
"Well, we didn't need a day so," Red shrugged.
There was a scream. "HELP!"
"come on let's go," Red said, running.
"right," Everyone followed him.
They continued until they heard none-human-high-pitched screeches. The screeches got closer, or they got closer to the source of the screeches actually.
They saw a man getting attacked by bat-like Pokémon.
"Ash, these are zubat, poison and flying-types, Pika and Pikachu should send them away," Red said.
"Got it," Ash replied.
"PIKACHU, THUNDER SHOCK!" "PIKA, THUNDER SHOCK!" Ash and Red respectively said.
"Right," both Pikachu replied. "Thunder, Shock, go!" they let out electrical shocks that shocked the zubat, which got the their full attention.
"Hey zubat! Stop attacking the man," Ash ordered.
The zubat talked together loudly, which hurt everyone's ears. "The lights"…
"Meowth, what are they saying?" Leaf asked, gritting her teeth and barely able to speak.
"Someone put lights in the cave, and he'll pay," Meowth translated, painfully.
"Why are you attacking that man," Ash asked.
The screeches returned. And by screeches I mean zubat speaking.
"He's the only one around so he must be who put dem," Meowth translated.
"No, he doesn't have to be," Red shouted with pain.
The screeches stopped.
"He has a point," a zubat said.
"No he doesn't, there's no one other than the man in the cave- ohhh, so that's what the fairy guys were talking about, guys we need to apologize to the man," another one said, realization hitting it.
"Oh, the intruders thing," all the zubat realized.
"Guys why were the humans screaming?" a small zubat asked.
"Ignore it, they think we're loud," another answered.
"You –are- loud," the groups Pokémon said.
"Guys? What's happening?" Ash asked the Pokémon.
"Dey realized it's a mistake and dere's some intruders, also dey say there not loud," Meowth said.
"Not loud? We heard you from down there," Leaf said disbelievingly, pointing.
"listen to my loud voice and then decide," Eevee said. "I WANNA LEARN ECHOED VOOICE."
Everyone heard ringing, including zubat.
"Dat and you didn't learn Echoed Voice!?" Meowth said in disbelief, after he could hear again. "Ash, never, and I mean never make him learn echoed voice."
"WHAT'S ECHOED VOICE? Oh wait, I can hear myself again, wow Eevee, your voice is so strong!" Ash complemented.
"Thanks!" Eevee said, happy for the complement.
A round object flew by unnoticeably, and a zubat disappeared also unnoticeably. (Yes, that was Brock catching a zubat.)
"G-guys?" a zubat said.
"ye?" another said.
"We gotta fly right? To-o the other side of the mountain."
"ri-i-ight, we should go, and by go I mean fly to the other side and avoid that scary eevee."
The zubat agreed, and in five seconds, there were none left.
"What just-" Ash said.
"Are you OK?" Red asked the man, interrupting Ash's `unimportant question`.
The man, who was shaken up from the attack, looked up at Red and the group. "Thank you," he said, "I thought I was a goner for a second."
"No problem," Red replied, smiling. "Why'd the zubat attack you anyway?"
"I'm a scientist studying the effects of Moon Stones on Pokémon, and I only wanted to collect some samples. I didn't expect to run into such trouble with the Zubat," the man explained.
"You're a scientist?" Ash asked.
"Ash that's literally what he said," Pikachu said.
"yes, and my name is Seymour," Seymour answered Ash.
"Nice to meet you, Seymour," Ash said, extending his hand for a handshake. "I'm Ash, and these are my partners, Pikachu and Eevee."
(Literally)
"nice to meet you too," Seymour said shaking Ash's hand.
"And I'm Red,-" " Red started, but was interrupted.
"Ash's twin?" Seymour asked.
"No, we just look like each other."
"Oh, I see, well, nice to meet you Red, also nice to meet your Pikachu."
"I'm Brock," Brock said as introduction.
"nice to meet you Brock," Seymour said.
"And I'm Leaf," Leaf introduced herself. "And this is Meowth."
"Hi," the scratch cat said, bored.
"nice to meet both of you," Seymour said. He looked at the group of trainers and their Pokémon. "You all seem like strong trainers. Could you help me gather more Moon Stone samples?"
"Sure, we'd be happy to help," Leaf said optimistically.
"Of course you'd say yes," Meowth said.
"AH, did, did the Meowth just talk?"
(He did that twice)

Within the vast expanse of the cave, darkness reigned supreme, save for the feeble glow emitted by small light devices placed along the sides. The cave opens up into a spacious and wide chamber, its walls rough and jagged, lending an ancient and weathered appearance. Separating different areas of the cave were stalactites and stalagmites, each formation adding a touch of intrigue and wonder. The dim lighting casted eerie shadows, making a mysterious atmosphere that enveloped the surroundings. The only sounds were distant echoes and the occasional calls of Pokémon, echoing from faraway corners. Though the cave lacked any notable geological features or objects for the watchers, its very nature carried an air of enigma. It was a place where whispers of secrets dwell and the unseen beckons exploration.
Ditto was relaxing in the cave when he heard that loud, thunderous voice.
"I WANNA LEARN ECHOED VOOICE!"
It got Ditto's attention.
He went the direction he heard the voice come from, and he heard zubat talking outside the cave.
"-and by going I mean flying to the other side and avoiding that scary eevee."
He heard sounds of agreements and soon, dozens of zubat came in the cave, flying at high-speed.
He transformed into a stone.
Once the zubat commotion passed, he could hear voices.
"-lights!?" a boy's voice was saying.
"Yeah, someone put them there a few days ago. I searched the cave, and I didn't find anything or anyone, so I still don't know who or how," another replied, it was for a man, it was familiar.
"Think it has something to do with the zubat acting like that?" a third voice asked, a girl's.
"Course it does, zubat hate light," a fourth replied, it had a different accent to it, and a strange tone to it, almost if it was.. a Pokémon? `No, no, no, I'm just hearing things, I need to follow them.`
The stone grew stone legs, and walked slowly behind them.
"Meowth's right, zubat live in caves for a reason," the fifth voice was for a male, maybe in his teen-age years.
"Oh, right," the third replied, the girl one.
Ditto got closer, and he could see three children, two boys, probably twins, and a girl, one of the twins had a pikachu on his shoulder, while the other had a pikachu and an Eevee. Ditto also saw a young man, and that scientist guy he usually saw when he went to Mount Moon before getting captured by Team Rocket, `His name was… SeeMore or something.`
…
"This is it," the scientist guy exclaimed. "The cave where the Moon stone is."
"Then let's go," the girl said.
"we're already going," a Pikachu said, the one that is sitting alone.
Ditto heard someone singing a happy but at the same time worried song, he looked towards the direction, which was close to the human group and saw.
"Cool! A clefairy," the first boy exclaimed.
"Oh, hey human boy I never met before-, Wait, AHHH, PLEASE DON'T KIDNAP ME," the clefairy cried, and started running away.
"Hey, wait up," the boy called, running after the clefairy.
Ditto followed the boy who was chasing after the Clefairy. He watched, in the darkness of the cave, with these light things Team Rocket put, as the boy tried to talk to the Clefairy, but the little Pokémon just kept running away.
Suddenly, Ditto heard a familiar voice. "No you idiot, you're holding it in reverse."
Petrel?
"Sorry sur."
`That's a grunt.`
"Just shut up and flip it," Petrel ordered.
`Well he's angry.`
"Come on," the boy chasing after the clefairy said, getting back the shape shifter's attention. "I don't wanna hurt you, I only wanna know if you know who put the lights."
"r-really?" the clefairy asked. "These mean people came a day ago and they started to- wait a minute, you may be one of them, or aren't you? I don't know."
`Mean people? Figures, Team Rocket.`
"NO FOSSILS HERE," the grunt shouted.
`Seriously, these grunts need to stop shouting.`
"Go over there and dig, there oughtta be something," Petrel said, surely pointing. `Oh, I see him, yup, he's pointing to a pla- WAIT A MINUTE, THAT BOY'S OVER THERE.`
This is bad. Team Rocket are always trouble wherever they go. He needed to save the boy, but how?
`I know.`
Ditto stone glowed and started to grow and change color.
Ten minutes ago, Ash ran after a clefairy, but Eevee fell from his shoulder. Even so, that did not mean that he should disappear for ten whole minutes and not come back, which worried the evolution Pokémon. He and the group of friends entered the Moon Stone area? Floor? `no idea what is this supposed to be,` and saw the Moon Stone, after looking at it for five seconds, Eevee lost interest in it, and started thinking about Ash. He looked around, checking if Ash might be nearby, but he only saw the lights, the lights someone put to annoy everyone, with their low, yet still painful to look at light that they emanate, and the walls of the cave, he saw rocks weirdly scattered, he thought it was normal, but is it normal for a rock to move around? No, these are geodude, well, some of them are. He could not hear the clefairy or Ash's voices, neither could he hear Pikachu's. His concern grew every second, and he regretted not running after Ash, or at least calling his name, or telling Pikachu so the mouse can get his attention.
"Where is he?" Eevee wondered, worried.
"Oh don't worry about him, he's just chasing dat clefairy," Meowth replied carelessly.
"Pikachu's with him too," Brock added.
He knew, but he was still worried.
"Guys! You won't believe what just happened!"
`Was that Ash?`
"Ash, where have you been? We were getting worried." Leaf asked.
"Sorry, was chasing the clefairy and got-"
"For ten minutes?" Red asked doubtfully.
"I got lost. But I saw Team Rocket," Ash explained.
"Jessie and James are here?" Meowth asked.
" N-no," Ash hesitated for some reason. "Others. But they were… p-putting Team Rocket uniforms like them."
"Why are you scared like that?" Leaf asked.
"I'm not scared, but we need to stop them."
"Where's Pikachu?" Eevee asked. Ash obviously did not understand or answer.
Eevee jumped on his shoulder.
"You're right," Seymour replied. "They've got to be who put the lights and upset the zubat."
Ash did not answer, he just turned around and motioned them to follow, and ran.
"Ash wait!" Eevee heard Leaf call. Ash did not wait, instead he kept on running, pausing for a second to check if the others were following, they were.
`Something's not right.`
They made their way through this maze of a cave, and Eevee continued seeing those lights, Ash did not seem bothered at all by them. They went left and right, and every few seconds, Ash would stop to check if the others are keeping up, he was faster than normal. And he surprised Eevee when he did not even stop for a second to look where he was going. At first, Eevee thought it was normal, because it was an Ash like thing to do, but as Ash continued running, Eevee noted that he kind of knew the cave very well. It was very strange, like he lived in the cave. The group reached another kind of cave, or floor in a cave, Eevee did not know how that works, and they heard noises, from squealing to human voices, and, `Is that a digging machine? It's very loud.`
It was a digging machine. And after Ash got closer, Eevee could also see some people holding some digging equipment. He could not make a lot still, but if Ash said they were Team Rocket, they were definitely up to something bad.
"There they are," Ash said, pointing inside.
The others caught up, their curiosity piqued by the noises emanating from within the cave. As they approached, they noticed a group of individuals dressed in Team Rocket uniforms, their unmistakable logo emblazoned on their chests. And their actions showing they were up to no good. A tall and thin young man. He had bright purple hair cut short at the sides with a large curl on top, a short purple beard, purple eyebrows and purple eyes. Stood menacingly, shouting out orders, but not to the grunts.
(Is that Petrel's appearance?)
He was commanding a much bigger and bulkier version of Koffing. with an additional head, albeit a smaller one. Its larger head had a skull and crossbones marking, two flat teeth sticking out of its upper mouth, and two fang-like teeth sticking out of its lower mouth. The smaller head had an indentation in the middle and a frown. `That's a Weezing.`
"Hyper Beam!" the man shouted. And Eevee noticed the beam of energy being shot towards, `Wait a minute, that's Pikachu!`
"PIKACHU, DODGE IT," a familiar voice said from far away.
`Is that Ash? But how, he's right here!`
"Was that Ash's voice?" Leaf asked, surprised.
"Yeah, I heard it too!" Brock said loudly.
"But how, isn't that Ash?" Seymour asked, pointing.
"Something's not right," Red said with suspicion.
"NOW USE THUNDER SHOCK," Ash's voice said.
"I can't mistake that voice for someone else's, that's Ash," Eevee said, loud enough so the entire group could hear.
"Da voice is da twer- I mean Ash's," Meowth translated.
"But he's standing in front of us," Leaf said.
"Nope," Ash said.
Ditto had some fun, but it was time to help. Earlier, he noticed Team Rocket, and decided to help the boy chasing the clefairy, he did not know how at first, but an idea came to his mind. He transformed into the boy's form, and went to his friends, he guided them through the cave, until he got them to the location of the boy he transformed into, and found him already fighting Petrel with his Pikachu. Too bad his Eevee was not with him, `Oh well, I need to get Eevee to him,` then he needed to go to the clefairy and cleffa and clefable and ask for help. If he wanted to stop Team Rocket, then it is a very good idea to have the Pokémon that know the cave very well to help, and to protect their cave.
"Nope," he said. "Ash is inside."
"Ash is that a time for Jokes?" Red scolded.
"no," Ditto said, transforming into a pidgeot and flying up.
"what the-"
"I knew you're not Ash," Eevee said.
"Listen, let's talk about that later. Now help 'em," Ditto said, then he threw Eevee inside the area thing, where his trainer and his Pikachu friend were battling weezing.
"Woah, ow, Quick attack," Eevee called out, landing.
Ditto flew away, towards the `clefairy, and cleffa, and clefable,` he transformed back to Ash when he saw the area the Moon Stone was in.
"Cool!" he said.
"Did you just turn from a pidgeot to a human?" a cleffa asked.
"no-o-o?" Ditto said. `Oops.`
"Oh, OK."
"Can I pass?"
"sure."
"Now, where is that clefairy?" he wanted to tell it about the intruders, also he wanted it to apologize to, `Ash, his name is Ash.`
"Oh, hey human I met before," a familiar clefairy said, running to him. "And who is not going to kidnap me and stuff."
`OK, she's really exaggerating right now,` Ditto thought. `Why would she think Ash'd kidnap her- oh, the humans are evil because of Team Rocket thing, well, time to change her mind.`
Ditto smiled warmly at the friendly Clefairy as it approached him. "Hey there, Clefairy. It's good to see you again," he said in his best imitation of Ash's voice, a very good one, the difference was unnoticeable.
Clefairy looked at Ditto with a mix of curiosity and caution. "You're not like the other humans. You're nice," she said, her voice filled with relief.
"Thank you!" Ditto replied.
Clefairy took a moment to process this. "uh? Wha? Did you just understand me!?"
"Yeah, and i-"
"YAY, THERE'S A HUMAN THAT UNDERSTANDS POKÉMON!"
"Yeah, about that-," Ditto said.
"Wait, you don't speak Pokémon?"
"Well, i-"
"YAY, I LEARNED HOW TO TALK HUMAN, I KNEW FOLLOWING RANDUM TRAINERS AROUND MOUNT MOON WOULD PAY OFF!"
"Alright, first, don't do that, second, I'm not a human, I'm a Pokémon disguised as the human you saw a while ago, speaking of, that human wasn't evil, he-"
"I know, that's why I went to convince clefable to help."
"oh, that's why you ran like that."
"Yeah, I wanted to convince clefable that not all humans are mean. And also to convince myself, but I'm not going to tell you that, would you please not tell yourself that? It's a secret."
Ditto chuckled. "Ok, fine, so did you convince clefable to-"
"Yes, she did," clefable interrupted.
"Everyone just stop interrupting me!" Ditto called. "so anyway, here's what happened, and please help me after I tell you."
Back in the area with the real Ash and friends, there was.. a dangerous situation.
"Look out!" Ash warned, his voice filled with urgency.
"Eevee, you're crazy!" Pikachu shouted in disbelief.
"I'm not crazy, I'm brave!" Eevee responded defiantly, refusing to back down. With all his might, Eevee held onto the digging machine to prevent it from causing further damage.
"Just, let, go, you insignificant little...!" the grunt grumbled, his voice strained as he struggled to remove Eevee from the machine. He was using it to dig for fossils, and Eevee just came, Quick Attacked him, and held on to the machine to prevent it from digging.
"Caterpie, String shot, tie the guy and let Eevee stop the digging machine!" Ash called.
Red ordered Kakuna to do the same.
The air filled with threads of sticky silk as Caterpie and Kakuna unleashed their String Shot attacks. The strands snaked around the struggling grunt, binding his limbs tightly and rendering him immobile. "Why you, LET GO OF ME, NOW!" the grunt shouted. That did not happen, instead, more string Shots were fired, and surrounded him from face to leg.
With the grunt out of the way, Eevee had a clear path to control the machine. "take this, and this," Eevee said, kicking the machine with each "this". (Yes, it is Double Kick.) Eevee's hard work paid off, and the machine turned off, and parts of it fell down on the cave floor, resulting in some being broken, and crashing and breaking of glass sounds were heard, proving the breaking of the machine.
"Wow, it was that Easy stopping the machine? Just a couple of kicks?" a grunt asked. "Petrel? ya know I love Team Rocket and money and I respect ya and all; but where, WHERE ON THE ENTIRE EARTH, NO, IN THE ENTIRE GALACSY DID YOU FIND THIS PATHETIC GARBAGE EXCUSE OF A MACHINE?"
Petrel scratched his head, appearing genuinely innocent. "Well, there was this man on a boat who wanted to sell a coat on the street near the Pewter Museum, and he offered it to me."
"AND YOU JUST TOOK THE STUPID THING?"
(I'm wondering why was the man on a boat in the street, near a museum)
Petrel shrugged nonchalantly. "Well I couldn't say no, he begged me, and I'm a nice guy," he said. "Also it was only three pokédollars."
The other grunts exchanged bewildered glances, unsure whether to be amused or frustrated by the absurdity of the situation. Their mission had been a failure because of a subpar machine obtained from a street vendor.
"Let's just… move on," one of the grunts suggested, shaking his head in disbelief. "And never talk about this."
"I'll tell the police, the media, this is hilarious!" Ash said, barely able to contain his laughter.
"Quick, let's go get the moon stone while they're distracted!" Petrel ordered in a hurry, running the first, and the grunts ran after him.
"Hey, come back here," Leaf called, laughing.
"Yeah, you gotta tell me where this man is, he's a crime himself," Seymour called, laughing too.
(Hey, that's such an offensive thing to say, what did the man do?)
Suddenly, a sound of rocks being crushed can be heard. The floor, or area of the cave is collapsing, they needed to go to another one.
Startled by the crumbling ground beneath them, the group immediately stopped laughing and they looked around for a safe path to escape the collapsing area.
"You here that?" Ditto asked.
"yes. I'm afraid Team Rocket dug too much in that area, so it's collapsing," clefable said in concern.
"WHAT?"
"CAN'T YOU DO ANYTHING TO SAVE THEM?" clefairy asked in worry. "PLEASE, ANYTHING."
"I can get us to their place quick enough, but I can't carry them," clefable answered, growing more concerned.
Ditto's eyes widened with worry as he realized the severity of the situation. He knew he had to act fast to save Ash and his friends from the collapsing area of the cave. Without hesitation, he transformed into a strong Machamp, ready to carry them to safety with his strong four arms. (Ignoring the fact there are five people because there are a bunch of Cleffa clefairy, and there is clefable, so yeah)
"Clefable, lead the way! We need to get there as quickly as possible," Ditto said, determination shining in his eyes.
Clefable nodded and motioned for the others to follow him.
back in the collapsing floor/ area, the group felt the ground trembling beneath their feet, a clear sign that the collapse was imminent. Anxiety filled the air as they exchanged worried glances.
"We need to find a way out and fast," Red said, his voice laced with urgency.
Ash, Red, Leaf, Brock, and Seymour all ran in different directions, worried and determined to stay alive, every single one was resolutely avoiding rocks and debris that fell from the roof, true, they were separating from each other, but they were sure they were going to meet back up at a safe distance from this area of the cave. The ground was shaking, and the lights Team Rocket put were falling, resulting in more danger. The group's hearts were pounding, and they could hear that in their ears. With every step, everyone knew that they could die, by rocks, sharp light devices, or stepping the wrong way and falling, so even if they wanted to run as fast as their legs could, they understood that they ought to step each single step calculatedly or else.
Ditto as Machamp frantically lifted rocks, desperately searching for any sign of the human group. Despite his efforts, he couldn't locate them. He strained his ears, trying to pinpoint their voices, and indeed, he heard Pikachu and Eevee calling out from one direction. But when he turned in that direction, he found no trace of them. Similarly, he heard footsteps from another direction, but again, there was no sign of anyone. Confusion and worry filled Ditto's mind. `Where are they?` he wondered anxiously. He couldn't comprehend how he could hear their voices so clearly yet fail to locate them. Doubt started to creep in, and Ditto questioned if something terrible had happened to them. With a deep sense of determination, Ditto transformed back into his original form and began to search with renewed fervor. He scoured every nook and cranny, overturning rocks and calling out their names, hoping for a response. "ASH!… PIKACHU!… EEVEE!… WE'RE HERE TO HELP, IF YOU'RE THERE, PLEASE ANSWER ME!" nothing. That was the response. `Who am I kidding, they wouldn't understand me. Think Ditto! Think!` he continued searching with the other Pokémon, hoping he would come up with a plan, `Help me God,` `I got it, that power thing,` as a Pokémon who was experimented on by Team Rocket and had interested them, Ditto gained new abilities, one of them is to transform by memory, however, since he did not train those abilities, he always feels overwhelming power in him when he uses them. He also feels a headache from all the moves that overflow in his mind, any likely move he has seen or thought logical for a Pokémon to use he knew it. Never in his life he knew how to control his power though. Team Rocket scared him, hurt him, and sometimes made him angry, just to force him to unleash that energy, and use it for their research. `But humans don't have moves, right?` So he can transform to one without all those things happening, right?
(If you're wondering, "Why does he trust humans or want to help the group anyway," well, he knows not all humans are bad. And Ash has Aura Sphere, but no won in the story knows that, so can you not tell?)
Ditto transformed into a human girl, taking on the girl that was in Ash's group appearance, complete with her voice.
"Why would you transform to a girl?" a clefairy asked. "Not that I have a problem with it, I'm just curious."
"There were five people in that group, that scientist guy, Ash, his twin, and that teenager, and the girl, the girl is the best option," Ditto answered. "ASH! PIKACHU! EEVEE! CAN YOU GUYS HERE ME?"
"That's Leaf's voice," a Pokémon voice said, the voice was very clear, but far, it was for a pikachu. (Ditto is a Pokémon, even if he transforms, he is still himself. So he has his senses. And he gains certain things… spoilers?)
"IT'S ME, LEAF!" (Copy paste, well done)
"It's Leaf," this time, Ditto heard Ash speaking. "LEAF, WE'RE OVER HERE!"
"WHERE?"
"OVER HERE IN… AFTER SOME ROCKS."
"GOT IT, let's go," Ditto said, scrambling onto Clefable's back. With a burst of energy, Clefable spread its wings and took to the air, moving with remarkable speed. "Whoa, slow down!" Ditto exclaimed, gripping onto Clefable tightly as they flew.
"Sorry, I thought since you're a human, you'd be kinda… heavier than that," clefable replied, slowing down. "follow me everyone!" it ordered its pre evolution and first stage of evolution.
"Right!" the cleffa and clefairy obeyed.
Flying was not that easy; they had to avoid so many fallen stuff, like the lights, the stones…
As they made their way through the treacherous path, Ditto couldn't help but notice the agility and grace with which Clefable moved, despite its size. "You're amazing, Clefable," Ditto remarked, holding onto Clefable's back tightly. "I never knew you could fly so swiftly."
Clefable chuckled. "You haven't seen anything yet."
"Over there," Ditto exclaimed, pointing. He spotted Ash's Eevee.
"Leaf, we're here," Ash called.
"coming," Ditto replied, getting off clefable's back.
He walked towards the source of the voices, and noticed that Ash was safe, but stuck between two large boulders.
"Leaf!" Ash called. Ditto extended his hand and exerted a powerful pull, freeing Ash from between the two rocks. "Thanks!"
"Sure," Ditto excepted the "Thank you". "Where are the others," he asked in concern.
"We got separated, remember?"
Ditto nodded. "I do, I'm just asking, did anyone end up near you?"
Ash looked around. "Well, I didn't hear any voices other than mine Pikachu's and Eevee's, and I'm not seeing anyone so, I don't think so."
Ditto's expression grew more serious as he processed Ash's words. The fact that he had not heard any other voices or seen anyone nearby was concerning. He knew they could not leave anyone behind. He hummed in thought.
"Wait a minute, Leaf? Where's Meowth?" Ash asked worriedly, his brows furrowing.
`Meowth? Oh, the Meowth on the girl's shoulder, I forgot about him.` Uh-oh! "Uh, -"
"Tell him you left him nearby so he wouldn't get hurt by the rocks," a cleffa whispered, surprising Ditto.
`How did he even expect a question like that?` He thought. "I left him nearby so he wouldn't get hurt by the stuff," he said, and added, "He was already tired enough."
"Oh, let's get him and go back to the fallen rocks then."
"What? Why?" ditto asked, shocked and confused.
"If we lost the others there, we might find them nearby."
"But-"
"Improvise Ditto, improvise," clefable whispered.
Ditto sighed mentally, `what does that have to do with improvising whatever? Is he making fun of me?` "Kay, we go back, but I go search, -alone-," he said.
"but I wanna help too," Ash insisted.
"Say OK, I know what I'm doing," cleffa whispered.
"OK, but be careful," Ditto said.
"Hello," clefable said, becoming visible and heading towards them.
"A clefable?" Ditto asked, feigning ignorance.
"That's a clefable? Cool!" Ash said. He then pulled out a device that started telling some information about clefable.
"Is that really the time?" Ditto asked annoyed.
"Sorry," Ash apologized, putting back the device.
Ditto helped Ash understand that clefable wants to help, he asked Clefable if he wanted so, and the fairy-type nodded. So it navigated them back to the collapsed area, it flew slowly so they could keep up, and the cleffa and clefairy helped them to carefully avoid The rocks and fallen stuff when they reached it. Once close to the destroyed area, they started to call.
"BROCK!" Ash called. "RED! CAN YOU HERE US?"
"WE'RE ASH AND LEAF. … SEEMORE, ANYONE! CAN YOU HERE US?"
They continued calling until Ditto heard something. `Was that the real Leaf?` "Ash! I think I heard someone, I'll go with clefable, and you keep calling, if you hear anyone ask the clefairy to lead you K?"
"Got it," Ash replied, understanding the plan.
Ditto jumped on Clefable's back. " Wait a minute, it can carry you?" Ash asked, surprised after seeing Ditto, as Leaf, on Clefable's back and clefable flying without even feeling any tiredness, or showing pain signs.
"Yeah," Ditto nodded. "Let's go clefable!" Clefable flew faster.
"are you sure you're a ditto?" clefable asked, after they were out of Ash's sight.
"hmm?"
"You're so good at acting I almost forgot you're not the actual girl."
"Do you know her?"
"no. Just based on the boys actions. You can transform into him to help the girl you know."
"Oh," Ditto understood. Right, I'll transform into Ash."
Clefable nodded and Ditto concentrated and transformed into an exact replica of Ash.
"Alright Clefable, take me to Leaf," Ditto said, matching Ash's voice.
Clefable soared through the fallen rocks and debris. Soon, they reached the spot where Leaf's voice had originated. Ditto quickly dismounted Clefable and looked around. There, amidst the rubble, he saw Leaf, trapped but unharmed.
"Leaf!" Ditto called out, using Ash's voice. "You're alright."
Leaf turned towards the voice, her face lighting up with relief. "Ash! I'm so glad you're OK!"
"Thanks, I'm glad you're OK too," Ditto thanked with a smile. He rushed over to help Leaf. With combined efforts, they managed to clear away the debris, freeing Leaf from her entrapment.
"Finally," Leaf cheered.
"Seen any of the others?"
"No," Leaf shook her head in disappointment.
Ditto's worry increased at Leaf's response. It seemed that they had yet to locate the rest of the group. However, he couldn't let despair take over. They needed to remain hopeful and continue their search.
"Alright, let's keep looking," Ditto said. "We'll find them. They have to be around here somewhere."
Leaf nodded, her determination matching his own. They carefully navigated through the rubble, calling out for their missing friends. The sound of their voices echoed, but there was no response.
As they ventured deeper into the wreckage, Ditto noticed a faint cry for help. Without hesitation, he rushed towards the sound.
"Leaf, I think I found someone!" Ditto called out, excitement and hope in his voice.
They rushed towards the source to see a very stuck pikachu and Ash's Twin(not really but Ditto thinks so) standing there, also trapped.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out," Ditto reassured them, his voice filled with determination.
Ash's twin nodded. (It's Red for clarification.)
"Ash, Leaf! This'll be easier if Pika used Iron Tail," Ash's twin suggested, which Pika happily accepted.
Ditto removed the rocks Pikachu was stuck between. Pikachu/ Pika smiled as thank you. "Iron Tail," Pikachu / Pika called as he used the move, then Ash's twin was free.
"Thank god you're OK Red," Leaf said, everyone agreed.
A rumbling sound was heard, it was getting closer by the second. The ground shook beneath them, causing Ditto and the others to stumble.
"What now?" Leaf exclaimed, her voice filled with concern.
Suddenly, a large Onix burst through the wreckage, its rocky body towering over them. The teenager, identified as Brock by Leaf after a second, stood atop the Onix with a determined expression.
"Everyone, hop on!" Brock called out, extending a helping hand.
Ditto and the others quickly climbed onto Onix's back, feeling a sense of security as the massive Pokémon provided a sturdy platform. With Brock's guidance, Onix maneuvered through the treacherous terrain, carefully navigating the fallen rocks and debris. "Seymour left?"
`Oh, so his name is Seymour, not Seemore.` (It's pronounced differently, try it grammatically)
"Yeah," Leaf answered, nodding.
Brock nodded, and guided Onix in the collapsed area of the cave. Onix carefully made its way through the debris, searching for any signs of Seymour. The rumbling sound and vibrations intensified. Suddenly, they noticed a faint voice calling out for help, coming from a partially collapsed section of the area.
"That's Seymour's voice," ditto yelled worriedly.
"Onix, use Skull Bash," Brock ordered. Onix responded to Brock's command and unleashed its powerful Skull Bash attack. With a mighty charge, Onix rammed into the pile of debris, causing it to crumble and scatter. Dust filled the air as the path cleared, revealing Seymour.
"You came for me!" Seymour said, his voice filled with a mix of emotions.
"I mean, yeah, why wouldn't we?" Red asked, confused.
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!" the scientist exclaimed with relief.
Brock extended his hand, and Seymour took it and climbed onto Onix's back.
"Clefable!" a voice said.
`Oh yeah, the real Ash.`
"Ash, where are Pikachu and Eevee?" Leaf asked all of a sudden.
"Oh yeah, I left them near where I found you, I'll go get them," Ditto replied calmly, relieved that he did not need to come up with another excuse like the Meowth one. `Wait a minute, didn't Leaf have a meowth with her?` "But Leaf, where's Meowth?"
"Meowth? OH NO, MEOWTH!"
`Did she seriously forget the poor Pokémon?`
"Let's go back and get him," Brock said, his voice filled with determination.
"No!" Ditto said loudly.
"Hmm?"
"I mean let's not go back there," he explained when he noticed the confusion/ suspicion on the others faces. "When I found Leaf, I didn't see anyone with or near her. You guys go search for him while I go get back Pikachu and Eevee-"
"No way," Red interrupted. "You're not going alone, we barely got back together and safe, there might be something dangerous back there."
"No improvising this time," Clefable called, coming to view.
(What does that have to do with improvising?)
"a clefable?"
"Clefable helped me find Leaf before, HEY CLEFABLE," Ditto called, pretending to ask. "CAN YOU PLEASE GET ME BACK TO PIKACHU AND EEVEE?"
Clefable nodded. "Sure."
Once clefable was close enough, Ditto jumped on him. And clefable flew to the direction they found Leaf in, without waiting to check if the others are shocked to see a human, carried by a clefable with ease.
"Where do you think Ash went," Clefable asked.
"No idea," Ditto said, then transformed again to Leaf. "But I think Leaf can find him."
They flew back to where Ditto was in the collapsed area with the real Ash, and they found him there, standing, with a meowth standing on to legs near him. `OK, that's new.` Clefable put Ditto down, and the latter went to them. "Ash?" he asked.
"Oh good you're back, find anyone?" Ash asked, turning to face Ditto.
"Yeah, I found Red, and Brock took us on his Onix, and we found Seymour, and I came back to get you."
"Oh good, everyone's safe," Ash said, then sighed in relief.
"Come on," Clefable said. "Hop on my back," Ash understood his message, and did.
Clefable, surprisingly, was able to carry him with ease too. Not the same as ditto, but it was still easy nonetheless.
"I don't think it can carry both of us, you go, and I'll ask the clefairy if they can help me," Ditto said, Ash was convinced. So clefable flew away.
`I think all of them are safe, Pikachu and Eevee are with Ash, Meowth, OH COME ON.`
Ditto sighed. "Meowth?"
"A?" Meowth asked.
"Look, don't tell anyone what I'm gonna do, I'd like to keep it a secret," Ditto said.
"What, you gonna fly or somethin'?"
Ditto transformed to his pidgeot form. "No."
"AAA? YOU'RE A-"
"Shhh, don't tell, I saw you needed help, so I dicited to help."
Meowth's eyes widened. "So you're the won I heard calling like Leaf when she was trapped!" he realized.
"Just hop on my back," once Meowth did, Ditto flew With a powerful flap of his wings, they soared into the air, signaling for Cleffa and Clefairy to follow. "And we're off!" Ditto proclaimed with excitement.
As they flew swiftly, Ditto caught up to Clefable. "Catch me if you can," he teased playfully.
Clefable shook its head, a smile crossing his face. "There's a human a Pikachu and an Eevee on my back, and Pidgeot fly at nearly supersonic speed. Just take the Meowth back to its trainer," he suggested.
ditto told clefable that the clefairy and cleffa should follow him, and without waiting for a response, He accelerated his flying speed, out of the destroyed area a of the cave, and to a safer one he went. The echoing roar of Onix reached his ears, guiding him toward the rest of the group. Once he was close enough, he cooed gently, getting everyone's attention. He carefully tossed the meowth towards Leaf with a confident smile, and continued flying.
"What was that?" Seymour asked confusedly.
"a pidgeot," Red replied. "I think."
"In a cave? Carrying Meowth?" Leaf questioned, her doubt evident as she glanced skeptically at Meowth.
"What?" Meowth asked, his voice devoid of emotion.
"How did a Pidgeot get in a cave? And where were you? And-" Leaf's barrage of questions was interrupted by a soft voice.
"In coming," a voice called softly, interrupting Leaf.
"What's that?" the girl wondered.
"Guys it's me," Ash called. When he was in sight, the group saw him flying on clefable's back, all of them were still surprised that clefable could carry him.
"Hey, guys!" Eevee called out, waving enthusiastically.
"Hi, guys!" Pikachu added, also waving.
"Ash, Pikachu, Eevee, you're OK!" Leaf exclaimed.
"Yup, Thanks to Clefable," Ash said, smiling.
"It was nothing," Clefable said with a smile.
"Wait a minute, how did you two get here before us?" Ash asked, his confusion evident as he looked at Leaf and Meowth.
"Well, I was on Onix, and Meowth was with a pidgeot," Leaf explained.
"Brock went back in there to pick you up?"
"Uh, no?" Leaf corrected. "-You- went back in there to pick –Meowth- up, and," she trailed off. "Why didn't that pidgeot carry both of you?"
"what pidgeot?"
Petrel was expecting `a, kinda harder mission,` He expected the Moon Stone to be protected by cleffa, clefairy, and clefable. He did not expect it to be left alone, unguarded, easy to steal. The mission appeared to be a success. James and Jessie had informed him that the clefable and most of the `evolution line others` went somewhere, and they got in, and out after a minute. If he had known that, he would have picked this mission and told one of the other executives to go do the digging. He was so happy. Now all he had to do is avoid Ditto, as if he gets angry, they are done for the count. And had to avoid the 'clefairy and cleffa and the clefable' that stayed there, since if they use Metronome, god only knows what will happen to them. And had to avoid trainers, and the collapsed area, and the twerps, and being seen by a scientist, and the police, and-… Well, he just needed to get the Moon stone safe to his boss.
Now was that hard?
There was one little … big problem.
"DITTO?" Petrel shouted.
"Oh, hey Petrel," Ditto said, in Petrel's form and voice to him. "How's it going?"
"Goo-ood, very good," Petrel said. `If he sees the moon stone!`
"Oh, OK- wait a minute, what are you doing with the Moon Stone?" Ditto asked, turning from the friendliest to the angriest, most terrifying thing Petrel had ever seen, still looking like him though.
`How did he even manage to make me look this scary?`
"I knew you'd do something like that, I KNEW YOU'D STEAL OR RUIN SOMETHING, YOU ALWAYS DO. ATTACK THEM!"
Uh-oh! `Wait, who's he talking to?` Zubat appeared.
Petrel sighed pessimistically. "I shouldn't have even come to this cave."
The group had to stop convincing each other who was where and who went where when they heard screeching.
"You hear that?" Leaf asked.
"Yeah, I do," Ash replied. "It's"
"zubat!" everyone said in worry.
"Oh no," Seymour said. "Why are they screeching like that?"
"Let's go check it out," Red said, allowing no argument.
"Onix, go!" Brock ordered.
"Ooon," Onix roared, moving towards the sorce of the screeching.
Their screeches filled the area around him, and Petrol wanted this pain to end. The zubat were screeching loudly, and Petrol wished he had never come to this cave to get the Moon Stone. He was putting his hands on his ears, but that did not stop his agony, he saw Ditto looking at him with that angry look With his terrifying face to whoever looks at him. If not in for this terrible situation, Petrol would ask how this Pokémon could do this with his form, when even he himself could not do this scary look with his face. `This look would haunt me in my nightmares if I had nightmares! How, is, Ditto, not, feeling, pain at this point?` Petrel thought, meaning pain from the constant screeching of the zubat. Petrel's mind raced as the relentless screeching of the Zubat echoed through the cave. The noise was piercing and seemed to intensify with each passing moment. He could hardly bear it, wondering how Ditto remained unaffected. "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT, I'LL PUT THE MOON STONE BACK, JUST, MAKE THEM STOP," he begged.
"Hmm, no," Ditto thundered. "Put it while they're screeching!"
"YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME."
"No. And did ya know that zubat can screech louder? There's this one time, I was playing, and the zubat screeched so loud the rocks fell. Wow they're so loud. I hope the clefairy and cleffa and cl-"
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT FINE," Petrol ran as fast as he could, covering his ears with one hand and holding the moonstone with his other hand, back to the place of the moonstone. As soon as he reached there, he dropped the stone carefully and ran back the opposite direction he came from, with features of extreme pain and terror on his face. Once he saw Ditto, he begged, "TELL 'EM TO STOP SCREECHING!"
"Zubat, you can calm down now," Ditto said, More commandingly rather than giving a choice.
The zubat stopped.
"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE, MAKE IT STOP- oh, thanks," Petrel said. "*relief sigh*."
"Sure," Ditto said with a smile. "Don't steal stuff again, you got that?" he said with the scary power.
"OK OK, calm down I returned the Moon Stone."
"I'm very calm, I was just using Scary Face," Ditto said innocently. (Here, one of the abilities)
`Ohhh!`
"What's, uh,-" a voice said, when Petrel turned to face the speaker, it was.
"The twerps."
"What are you doing here? Didn't that floor collaps on you or something?" Ditto asked. `Wait, now he's acting evil? Whose side is he on?`
"Well, we're safe in front of you aren't we?" a twerp asked, looking angerly at Ditto, who he obviously thought was Petrel.
"Wait, who's the one on the right.. Petrel?" another twerp asked with confusion.
"What?" Petrel asked.
"No, not you, it's, I, there are two Petrel?"
"Look twerp, I'm kinda trying to escape from that guy so if you don't got anything to say," Petrel turned around and started running, only to be stopped by a clefable. "Ah!"
"Fable, clefable fable?" it said angrily.
"uh, sorry, but I don't speak Pokémon," Petrel said casually, confused.
"I do," a voice said, would Ditto really reveal himself? Petrel turned to see.
"Wait, aren't you our Meowth that can talk? What are ya doin' with the twerps?" he asked, shocked.
"Caught," Meowth said simply, which gave Petrel all the information he needed.
"Oh."
"Wait a minute, -your- Meowth that can talk?" Ditto asked, pointing at Petrel's Team rocket uniform.
"Meowth works for Team Rocket," Petrel Explained.
"IF I'D KNOWN THAT, I WOULD'VE KILLED YOU WHEN I TOOK YA T-" Ditto stopped for some reason. "I mean, of course I know that, I'm Petrel, yeah, why wouldn't I, *chuckle* imagine an executive in Team rocket not knowing Meowth.. Yeah," Ditto said, smiling an obviously fake smile.
"We agreed on somethin'," Meowth said threateningly. "Careful what ya say."
"Meowth stopped Petrel?" a twerp asked.
"I right now am surprised that Team Rocket are dangerous," another said.
`OK, I'm revealing his identity. This just got personal. He's embarrassing me!`
"WATCH IT, NOBODY CAN STOP Me-"
"Don't raise your voice," Ditto ordered.
"Sorry," Petrel said fearfully.
"BACK Ta CLEFABLE, 'Where do ya tink your going MR Moon Stone tiefe?'" Meowth interrupted, translating what the clefable said earlier.
"Oh, uh, outta the cave?" Petrel said, looking back at clefable.
"Clefairy fairy clefairy?" a clefairy said. 'ya tink your leaving that easily?'
"Well, I was, but now I wish I had brought the grunts with me."
"Oh I brought them for ya, HERE GUYS, THE REAL, I MEAN FAKE PETREL'S HERE!" Ditto called.
The grunts came.
`He's helping me again?` "whose side are you on?" Petrel asked in disbelief.
"Fun side," Ditto said, which earned him a look from every living being in the area. "I'm just kidding, of course I'm on the good side."
"You're in Team Rocket, or helping them, I think," a twerp said.
"It's more fun this way," Ditto said. "And you still can battle them with your Pokémon."
"Yeah, about that," the same twerp said.
"Oh yeah, your Pokémon are tired because they were stuck between those rocks, oops."
"How did you know that?"
"How did I know- *gasp*, uh, well, I-"
`he's been discovered!`
"I watched you from a far?" Ditto tried.
"I didn't here any voices," the twerp said.
"Ash just stop arguing and get convinced already!"
"How do you know his name?" Petrel asked. `He can't escape this one.`
"I heard it when they were asking if he was the one who gives the orders to that pikachu," Ditto said, pointing at the pikachu on the twerp's shoulder.
"Oh," Petrel said disappointedly. `Pretty sure he's me at this point, he's just a very good imposter.` (Shouldn't have made him more OP then should you?)
"Sur?" a grunt asked.
"What?" Petrel asked.
"Why aren't we attacking them or trying to escape?"
"Because shut up! Me and he" he pointed at Ditto "have to prove who's the better Petrel."
"The real one is," Ditto said.
"Yeah-, wait what? You complemented me?"
"No, I complemented myself."
"But I'm the real Petrel."
The grunts could not agree on it. `Eeven they're confused? He literally said the fake Petrel's here.`
"Tell him I'm the real one," Ditto ordered.
"Eevee," the twerp's eevee said.
"What do you mean you don't know Eevee? I'm obviously the real one," Ditto said. `Someone has revealed himself.`
"You can understand Pokémon?" the twerp of the eevee asked.
"Uh, oops, I got excited," Ditto admitted.
"What are you?"
"It's who are you, ditto have minds you know."
"Ditto?"
"My species Ash."
"Oh."
"Now that you've revealed your identity, ATTACK!" Petrel ordered.
"Pikachu, Thunder Shock, Eevee, Swift," Ash ordered.
Two Pikachu used Thunder shock, Ash's and his twin's, and Ash's eevee used Swift. Nocking pokéballs from the grunts, and hurting them, and causing them to yell in pain.
"Why you," Petrel grumbled.
"Someone, please get my pokéball from DAT GIRL," Meowth pleaded.
"Meowth, since they know who am I now," Ditto said, then pulled a gun. "Say good by, Team Rocket Pokémon!"
"Whoa whoa, let's all just calm down, and talk about things, nothing has to be settled by killing or electrifying others," Petrel said in a strained voice.
"Run if you know what's best for you Petrel, I'm serious," Ditto said, using Scary face.
Petrel and the grunts did not want to see that. "RUUUN!"
"Hahahaha, he should've seen the look on his face," Ditto joked.
"Y-yeah," Ash said, trying to forget the terror face Ditto made.
"Wait, you're not scared right?"
"uhhh," everyone said.
"I'd rather get shot at and not see that," Meowth commented.
"Oh I am so-o sorry," Ditto apologized sincerely.
"It's Ok Ditto, let's just change the topic," Ash said, trying to smile.
"Yeah, and Leaf? Please put me back in the pokéball, I'm afrade he'll shoot," Meowth requested nervously.
"Oh no no no," Ditto threw the gun while saying that reassuringly. "It's empty."
"Whew, and I thought I'm gonna die!"
*Silence*
"So-oo, what do you wanna talk about?" Ditto asked.
"I'd rather you go have fresh air outta the cave," clefable suggested.
"Good idea," Ditto replied.
"What idea," Ash asked.
"Clefable suggests we go outta the cave to have some fresh air, then we can talk a lot!"
"Yea-aah, there's one small problim," Brock said nervously.
"What?"
"We don't know the way out, we're lost."
"Oh I'll take you!"
Ditto transformed into pidgeot.
"Pidgeot? Wait a minute! This pidgeot's familiar," Leaf said suspectingly. "Were you the one carrying Meowth?"
Ditto nodded.
"Now that our agreement's broken, he helped all of ya, he wasn't just pidgeot," Meowth revealed.
Leaf raised an eyebrow. "Whatta you mean?"
"Ditto transformed into you befo'e," Meowth explained. "And if I noticed right, he was Ash too."
"wait what?" the two trainers said in shock.
Ditto smiled mischievously, and then motioned for the group to get on his back. They did, and he flew towards the other side of the cave. The group could see it, freedum from the cave. But, where was the sun?
"It's night already?" Ash groaned.
"It's dangerous out there, how about sleeping in the cave?" Ditto asked, and Meowth translated.
"This way I get to see the clefairy do their Moon dance!" Seymour exclaimed. "Yes, Please!"
"Sure, why not?" Brock accepted, smiling.
Ditto landed, and once the group got off him, he transformed into Ash. "Alright then, now, can we just talk about how crazy you were acting when you followed clefairy Ash?"
Ash did not respond, bemused because he was literally talking to himself. "Uh-"
"How do you know all this?" Red asked.
"I was following you around since you entered the cave, I heard someone screem I wanna learn echoed voice, then you came and Meowth talked, so I followed you," Ditto explained.
"Oh yeah, dat was Eevee," Meowth recalled.
"Let's get back to the topic, what were you thinking?" Ditto asked.
"I wanted to catch a Pokémon?" Ash said.
"I knew I shouldn't convince myself that he isn't Evil," clefairy said with a mix of emotions, appearing out of nowhere.
"How did you even follow us? Why would you follow us," Ditto asked the fairy-type.
"I wanted to join his team, because he was stopping Team Meany Guys and all," clefairy said, meaning Team Rocket.
"Ash quick, catch clefairy!" Ditto said, grinning a mischievous grin.
"Wait what? No, don't, I'm catching it," Red said determinedly, throwing a pokéball only god knows when did he get and how.
The pokéball hit clefairy and absorbed it with a red beam of light, then shook once, twice, thrice and.
*ding*
"Alright, I caught a clefairy!" Red exclaimed, pausing the catching pause with Pika.
The pokéball opened.
"DARK!" clefairy shouted in feer, immerging from the pokéball.
"your pokéball's dark?" Pikachu asked.
"Weird," Eevee commented.
"It was like a-"
"Don't say a thing, you might scare the other Pokémon," Ditto interupted.
"What was that anyway?" Clefairy asked puzzled.
"Red caught you."
"WHAT? SO NOW I'M OWNED BY HIM AND I'LL NEVER EAT IN MY LIFE? HE'S GONNA FORCE ME TO GO KILL PEOPLE OR TAKE ME INTO A LAB AND MAKE EXPERIMENTS ON ME?" clefairy panicked. "NO!"
"First a caterpie that thinks beedrill are going to eat him alive and throw what's left of him somewhere and now a clefairy that thinks all humans are crazy scientists? What's next, a lonely giant Dragonite that's afrade of the world?" Pikachu asked, frustrated.
(Hey, that's a spoiler!)
"Nah, don't worry clefairy, the only one who'd do such a thing here is Seymour, Red's a nice boy," Ditto assured clefairy.
"Wait, do what?" Seymour asked, clearly confused.
Ditto grinned mischievously. "Well, you see"-
(Alright, what you're going to read after, about the Moon Dance, is writen by artificial intelligence, AI, because I'm not good with discribing stuff very much, just a warning.)
The group gathered around the Moon Stone. The air was filled with anticipation as they awaited the arrival of the Clefairy to perform their Moon Dance. Red sent his own clefairy to do the Moon Dance with her friends earlier, he could not say no, even if he wanted to.
"This is so exciting," Seymour said, his voice full of excitement. Everyone could not agree more.
Start with AI.
One by one, the Clefairy emerged from the shadows, their eyes shimmering with excitement. Their movements were graceful and synchronized. Their cries of their names resounded throughout the cavern, resulting in a mesmerizing and reverberating tone that seemed to blend with the pulsating energy of the Moon Stone.
The Clefairy formed a circle around the Moon Stone, their arms intertwining as they began their magnificent dance. Their bodies swayed gently, and the cave walls seemed to resonate with their soft, melodic cries. When the Moon Dance was at its height, an incredible evolution started. The pure lunar energy infused some of the Clefairy, causing them to glow with a brite light that astounded everyone.
Among the evolving Clefairy, Red's newly caught Clefairy stood, its transformation mirroring the elegance and grace of its friends. It shimmered with a radiant light as its body grew larger and its appearance evolved. When the transformation was complete, it emerged as a beautiful Clefable.
The Moon Dance concluded, and a sense of tranquility filled the air. The Clefairy and Clefable basked in the residual moonlight, their newfound evolutions signifying growth, wisdom, and a deaper conection with the nature around them.
End with AI.
"Awesome!" Ash said in awe.
"Yeah!" Leaf and the others agreed.
They stood in awe of the breathtaking display, their hearts filled with wonder and admiration. The Moon Dance had left an indelible mark on their souls. They felt a deep sense of gratitude for being able to witness such a rare and beautiful event.
Red approached his newly evolved Clefable, a smile of pride on his face. He extended his hand, and Clefable gently touched it with its gentle paw. It was a moment of connection, a moment of bonding between Pokémon and trainer.
"Congrats on evolving, clefable!" Red whispered.
"Fable," his clefable replied with a smile, its soft voice still echoing in the area.
"Thanks for letting us see your Moon Dance clefairy, and clefable!" Ash thanked.
"I can't believe I saw it with my own eyes," Seymour said, the happiness in him about to make him fly. "I, I always thought of clefairy and their evolution line as magnificent creachers, they always work in harmony, protecting each other, and learning from each other. I knew about their Moon Dance, but this is the first time in my life I've seen it, and I'm sure there's more to discover about them!"
"We Pokémon are an entire world of mystery, not even us know everything about us," Ditto said smiling, still looking like Ash.
"You're right," Meowth agreed.
"Fable, clefable fable fable," the leading clefable, the first one they met, said smiling.
"'I'm so glad you liked it'," Ditto translated. "'I'm also glad that this clefairy evolved," he meant Red's newly evolved one. "She always wanted that. Now, please get yourselves some rest, you had a very long day.'"
"Thanks clefable!" Red said calmly, smiling.
And they did have a very long day, and after seeing the clefairy's dance, there was nothing that encouraged the group to stay awake, they were tired, but happy, happy that the cave was safe, well, almost. Happy that Team Rocket were stopped. Happy with Red's clefairy's evolution, and happy to be with each other. They made camp almost outside the cave, so in the morning they would say goodbye to the Pokémon and be on their way. Clefable had been convinced to go with them easily, and requested to come back to Mount Moon every now and then, and Red agreed. Everything was good, and tomorrow they would train for their next gym badges, well, Ash, Red and Leaf will. But for the night, everyone simply wanted to drift off to the dream world.
