At the age of seven, a young girl was very happy to be at the Fazbear Horror and Pizzeria Restaurant, as she came here almost every day. She remembered the old pizzeria, Fazbear's Family Diner, from when she was much younger. She vaguely remembers being there when she was two, but her parents brought her to the old pizzeria for her first birthday. And, according to her parents, she took an extreme liking to Fredbear. And they would start a monthly tradition of visiting the diner.

When she turned two, it became a weekly visit, and the girl would get so excited. She began to get toys, t-shirts and such from the diner, and she would constantly draw Fredbear and herself playing. She never had an ounce of fear of the animatronic bear, and she would run up to him like an old friend. Kids were allowed to interact with the animatronics, but they were big, heavy and could easily hurt a toddler.

Then a few months before she turned three, Fazbear's Family Diner was closed, due to the original owner dying in a car accident, before a friend of his bought the business and opened a new restaurant. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place, with a new cast of animatronics. The new animatronics got their own stage, and there were so many new things in this building. It was a small building at the time too. Luckily, Fredbear was kept, and he had his own dining room.

And on her third birthday, the girl was able to have Bonnie be a part of her private party. And her parents were shocked when the toddler shoved cake into the mouth of the animatronic, though it was a very innocent act of the girl when she was that young. Luckily, they never got in trouble, and she began coming every day. And when her brother was born, he would be brought to the restaurant once a week after he turned six months.

But now the girl was seven, and the restaurant has expanded, with new Toy versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, along with two new animatronics, Golden Bonnie and Mangle, which was a strange animatronic. And there was now a section that has been built to look a bit like a rundown school. With a new animatronic that the girl met two years ago. And he was supposed go be scary, but she never was scared.

"Springtrap!" The girl shouted excitedly, running through the familiar hallway towards the Haunted Classroom. It was almost always empty, because people were too afraid to go there. But the girl liked it. She pushed open a door and giggled loudly. "Springy! Are you in the principal's office again?! No one ever finds you there!"

The girl ran towards the principal's office, which was a room that had walls with torn wood boards, dirty carpet and stained chairs, a long with a wooden desk full of chips, and a fake window with a dull, green light filtering through brown curtains. It was meant to be a fun attraction, but people were too scared to come here. And if they do, it is to try and do something to the animatronic.

"Springy!" She pushed the door open to find the rabbit animatronic looking at the door. The girl smiled, looking back at the yellow, green rabbit that looked like he was very old. The fur on his body looked like it had withered, which gave him that colour. Parts of the casing of the body looked like they had been broken and torn apart, with a fake wires sticking out of his body. Within those holes, the girl has felt a strange, damp lay underneath that feels like skin, but it felt too hard to be normal skin. It never bothered though. Even with his large, yellowish teeth and silver eyes, and his right ear seemed to be cut in half. It never bothered her once. "I finished school! I see no one is here again. I get you to myself!"

Springtrap tilted his head to the side and it seemed like he was smiling. The girl liked to believe that he was. She put her bag down and unzipped it to begin ruffling through it. "I got a big A plus on my Math homework today. See?" She pulled the paper out and showed to Springtrap proudly. His silver eyes stared, though he did not react. None of them ever spoke. "Mommy and daddy wanted to take me somewhere else to celebrate. But this is my favorite place in the hold world! I never want to go anywhere else!"

She giggled as she put the paper away to grab something else out. "Oh! By the way! I added to my scrapbook!" Springtrap glanced down the brown, hardcover book that the girl turned into a scrapbook. Inside were her memories of going to Fredbear's Family Diner and the current attraction. She opened it, and flipped several pages before holding up the page, showing pictures of her seventh birthday. Pictures of her and Springtrap in the private party room. "These are the best pictures."

Springtrap looked at the pages, smiling slightly as his silver eyes looked at the pictures. They were images of the girl playing with Springtrap, dancing with him to music, him helping her open presents and even holding a pinata for her to break. It was a great party, even though the girl didn't have many friends. She has ranted to him so often about kids bullying her because she loves the restaurant. Especially one girl in particular.

"It was the best birthday ever!" The girl cheered happily before closing the book before grimacing. "Ow…" Springtrap tilts his head slightly in surprise and the girl smiled at him. "Don't worry, Springy. Um…I was pushed while playing basketball and I fell on my arm…" She lifts her right arm to the animatronic the bruising that had formed, and the animatronic lifts his hand slightly in concern. "Aw, you are always so concerned, Springy. Don't worry, it was an accident."

The animatronic was still concerned and he watched as the girl put her book back in her bag. "Saphira!"

The girl turned her head quickly upon hearing a woman's voice. She dropped her bag and ran to the door to open it. "Yes, mommy?"

"Oh, there you are. Are you hanging out with that Springtrap again?" Saphira nodded excitedly with a big smile on her face. Her mother, Amanda, sighed with a smile. "Why are you hanging with him? We are supposed to celebrate as a family, Saphira. Lucas is hanging with Toy Bonnie, so why don't you hang with them?"

"Because Springtrap is my best friend, mommy. I hang out with him everyday. I have hung out with Toy Bonnie a lot as well. You already know that I am the best friend of each animatronic. The kind workers made a whole wall for me!" Saphira said happily. "I want to celebrate with Springy. We might paint and play with the clay."

"Alright…well…as long as you hang out with us when we get some pizza for dinner," Amanda said as she gave in. "I'm surprised you didn't get anything. You said you were starving when we picked you up from school."

"I am starving." Saphira turned and looked back at Springy. "I'm going to go and get some pizza, Springy. Do you want to meet me in the art room? We can paint together." She glanced at her bag on the floor and stepped out of the door. "You can watch my bag too, Springy. I'll be right back."

The seven year old ran down the hallway and around her mother to get out of the section. Amanda sighed with a smile as she watched her energetic daughter run through the attraction, and she followed to make her way back to the Toy Plaza. Amanda often wondered why they brought Saphira here as a toddler, because the girl has become obsessed with the place. And she loved the animatronics. She hung out with them in a way that was different to the other kids. And it seemed the animatronics responded well to it as well.

Saphira ran to the buffet to grab a plate and fill it with pizza, and she saw Bonnie entertaining some kids. His pink eyes look to her and he seemed to smile upon seeing her. "Hey, Bon Bon!" Saphira waved at him and Bonnie walked towards her. "Don't be mean to those other kids, Bonnie! They were excited to see you!" Bonnie tilts his head and glances back at the kids before Saphira sighed and ran up to him to hug him. "You just wanted a hug from me. That's sweet." Bonnie wrapped his arms around her gently before she moved back. "But I can't stay. Springy and I are gonna be doing some painting, so I'm going to grab pizza and go back."

Bonnie just watched the girl run back to the buffet to fill her plate with pizza. Saphira finished filling her plate quickly, and ran over to the soda machine to fill a large cup with coke before she would run back to the Haunted Classroom to head to the art room. When she ran back to the Haunted Classroom, she did quickly check the principal's office, and Springtrap was not there, nor was her bag, and she smiled before running to the art room.

"I'm back, Springy!" She pushed the door open to see the animatronic setting up two canvases, and she chuckled as he turned his head to look at her. "You are thinking ahead already." She walked over to a table to place the plate and soda cup down before sipping from the straw, and glancing around to see where her bag was. She saw it was on another desk, and that was okay. "Bonnie wanted a quick hug before. He likes hugs." Springtrap's ears twitch slightly as he listened to her and Saphira grabbed the paint to set it up. "My art teacher told me I'm gonna be a great artist one day, so I think I should practice everyday with you, Springy."

Springtrap just watched as the girl poured painted into the paint cups in equal portions so the two could paint. Springtrap wasn't really good with art, but he seemed to enjoy it. Saphira always found the animatronics interesting, because they seemed to learn from her, and respond to her in a way that kind of seemed human. Saphira sometimes told herself that they were alive, because she would feel hot air on her skin. But the animatronics never spoke, and their movements were stiff most of the time. So she just assumed it was their programming.

With the paint set up, she grabbed some paint brushes and a cup of water before she grabbed a slice of pizza to eat as she stood in front of a canvas. She bit into the pizza as she thought about what she was going to paint, and looked at Springtrap as the animatronic picked up one of the brushes and dipped it into the green paint. He slowly lifted the brush and began to paint slowly on the canvas.

Saphira smiled at, and brushed a single strand of her black hair as she looked back at her canvas. She finished eating the first slice of pizza and picked up another slice before she dipped her brush into the green paint as well, deciding to paint a field of sunflowers. She hummed happily to herself as she painted, while thinking about her day at school. Though she was mostly happy to be here.

"Mommy and daddy are going to let me spend the whole weekend here again. But I have to bring homework with me, because I got more homework from my grammar teacher today, which sucks." Saphira made an irritated face as she spoke about it. "I don't mind doing homework, since I do good at it, but I prefer to spend all my time with you and the others."

Springtrap listened to Saphira quietly while concentrating on the painting. He has not looked at Saphira's painting since he started, which was normal. The animatronics would often focus on one thing, and Saphira did not expect them to do anything like that. She glanced at his canvas, and she could not tell what he was painting yet, but that was okay.

"Oh! I have a school field trip next Wednesday, so I may not be here after school. We apparently get back late in the afternoon, like about five, or something. Mommy signed the letter today, and I gave it back to the teacher." Saphira giggled softly as she reached for another slice. "We are going to a museum about space. I'm kind of interested in it. Though I don't know what we will get to learn."

Saphira painted the stems of the sunflowers happily before rinsing out the brush before drying it and dipping it into the yellow paint. As she continued to paint, Saphira continued to talk. "I am also excited about the new snow globe that is supposed to be in the shop here soon. Apparently, it's a Springtrap snow globe, and I really hope to get it. They almost never make anything about you, which sucks. You're my favorite animatronic."

"Saphira!" Saphira jumped and turned in surprise when she heard her mother's voice again. "Come out, Saphira. We are heading home early."

Saphira frowned and put the brush down in the water cup and ran to the door. Springtrap put his paint brush down too and turned towards the door slowly. Saphira pushed open the door and peered out. "Why are we going, mommy? We only got here a little while ago."

"I know, honey, but Lucas just puked over Toy Bonnie. And he's still being sick." Saphira grimaced, because she was sure the animatronics disliked that, and she knew the workers did, because they had to clean the mess. "I'm really sorry, but we have to go."

Saphira groaned loudly as she really did not want to go. "Okay…can I say bye to Springtrap first? And can I bring the pizza and soda?"

Her mother sighed loudly. "Sure, fine. We will be out in the car waiting for you, Saphira. Do not take too long." Saphira smiled as she was happy to hear that. "Hopefully, Lucas will not be sick all the way home, so you may not want to eat the pizza anyway."

"Okay, mommy! I'll be there soon!" Saphira turned and looked at Springtrap with a sad face. "Sorry, Springy…I have to go." She was really unhappy about it. "I can't believe Lucas got sick…I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow." She looked at Springtrap's canvas and she smiled as it looked like he was trying to paint the pizzeria. "Too bad we can't finish our paintings. But we can do that tomorrow." Springtrap nods slightly and Saphira ran over to grab another piece of pizza. "There's only two pieces left…I might be able to eat them before getting to the car." She shrugged as she ate the piece quickly and picked up her bag before grabbing the plate and soda cup to run to the door.

But she stopped as she gasped loudly. "OH! I almost forgot!" She placed the plate and soda down on a desk and moved her bag around to open it and ruffle through it. She turned to face Springtrap as she placed the bag down. "Grandma gave me some money for my birthday, and I was finally able to get something special." She pulled out two boxes, and Springtrap tilts his head slightly as he watched her. "Something for you, and me."

She opened the first box, which was a silver chain, with a Springtrap face pendent. Saphira had been wanting to buy the pendent for ages, but her parents didn't get it for her. But she bought it with her birthday money. "I finally got the pendent. And…" She lifts the necklace out and turned the pendent around to show Springtrap she had the pendent engraved. "I got it engraved. My best friend." Springtrap seemed happy by it as his ears move slightly, and she was happy. "I intend to wear it all the time." She carefully put the necklace on and ensured that the pendent was resting the right way on her chest. "And I got something for you, too."

Saphira opened the second box, and she pulled out a homemade bracelet, that was big enough to fit on Springtrap's wrist. "I made this." Springtrap stared at the bracelet as she showed it to home. It was full of green, white and grey beads, and she had put letter beads on the chain that spelt Best Friends Forever. "I know you may not understand, but I want to give it to you." Springtrap lifts his right hand slowly, and Saphira smiled placing the bracelet into his palm. "Now you and I have something to remember each other when we aren't together."

The animatronic looked at his hand and looked back at Saphira. She smiled at him before stepping forward and hugging the animatronic, resting her ear against his stomach. She felt the animatronic wrap his arms around her, and she giggled. "I love you, Springy. I hope to be back tomorrow." She stepped back from him to put her back on her back and grab a piece of pizza before picking up the plate and soda cup. She looked back at Springtrap after pushing the door open. "Goodbye. I can't wait for tomorrow."

Springtrap gave the girl a wave before the door closed behind her, and Saphira sighed as she walked down the hallway to make her way out of the attraction. She did not feel the need to hurry, as it gave her time to finish the pizza she had on the plate, as she had decided she didn't want to bring it with her. She was really upset she had to leave early, so taking her time just felt right, even though she knew that her parents would not be happy with her when she got out of the car.

After she finished the pizza and placed the plate down where the dirty plates were, she sipped her drink as she made her way out of the attraction. She wished that she could stay, but she could not. Sleepovers never happen here. As the doors slide open, Saphira looked towards the old wagon where her parents were waiting. She saw her mother and father gesturing to her to hurry up. She sighed, and she ran towards the car.

"Saphira, why did you take so long to come out?" Her mother demanded as she opened the back door of the left side of the car, making Saphira flinch at her mother's anger. "I told you that your brother was sick, and you took way too long."

"Sorry, mommy…but I was just saying goodbye to Springtrap." She threw her bag on the floor of the back of the car before she climbed in. "He was upset that we had to leave early." She settled in her seat and grabbed the seatbelt.

Amanda rolled her eyes at her. "Of course, he was. And why are you wearing that necklace?" Saphira flinched and placed her hand on the pendent. "I told you that you can only wear it inside the building. You can't wear it now, so put it away!"

Saphira frowned as she clipped the seatbelt into the buckle and reached down to her bag to get the box out. Her mother watched impatiently, when her father, Nicholas, spoke up. "Come on, Amanda. We have to go. Saphira's putting the necklace away, you don't have to watch her."

"Yes, I do. She needs to stop being obsessed with that hideous animatronic! She has a whole scrapbook full of pictures of herself and those animatronics! I can't believe you had the bright idea to bring her often, and now look at what has happened!" Amanda shook her head with a frown. "She's bullied because of it. She only has one friend at school."

"Don't blame me, honey, because you enjoyed coming here until Lucas was born. And then, all of a sudden, the animatronics were too dangerous to bring her here. You are the one making it a bigger deal out of it." Nicholas shook his head and glanced at the rear view mirror when Lucas coughed a little. "You feeling okay, buddy?"

Lucas nodded. "Yeah…I want to go home…"

"We will shortly, buddy." Nicholas looked back at Saphira to see her putting her necklace in the necklace box. "Okay, she's put it away now, Amanda." Amanda huffed and slammed the door shut, making Saphira flinch and watch her mother get in the passenger seat. "You need to stop being angry at her for having an interest, Amanda."

"She's getting a little too old now to be clinging to them like she does." Amanda shook her head as she angrily put her seatbelt on as Nicholas backed the car out from the parking spot and drove out of the lot. "I understand she loves the attraction, but I feel like it will hurt her in the long run in the future. That is my concern."

"It will be up to Saphira to outgrow it, Amanda. Besides, I quite enjoy the trips myself. Plus, the membership we have gives us access to the attraction whenever we want, with pizza and soda included, so we aren't spending a lot of money." Saphira smiled as she listened to her father before looking out the window, feeling sad about what her parents were saying in front of her. "Saphira is not doing anything wrong, Amanda."

Amanda sighed deeply. "Alright…fine…her birthday was fun at least. Still, I don't get why Springtrap is her favorite. He's the creepiest animatronic they've made so far, and they are apparently adding new animatronics to the attraction next month, called the Phantoms or something. She'll be obsessed with them, I imagine."

Saphira was indeed extremely excited for the new animatronics. She was given a sneak peek about them a few weeks ago, and she was super excited to meet them. Saphira knew that there was a special celebration, with special merchandise and stuff, which was why Springtrap was going to be back in the center, because the Phantom animatronics are meant to be going to the Haunted Classroom as well. And Saphira could not wait.

Lucas coughed again, and Saphira looked at him with worry. "Sorry for ruining today, Saphira."

She shrugged and smiled him. "It's okay. I don't like being sick too."

"I feel bad for puking all over Toy Bonnie though. He seemed so upset." Lucas grimaced and rubbed his stomach a little. "I hope we get home soon…I might puke again…"

Saphira grimaced as she did not want to see him throw up. It would make her sick too, and she didn't want to be sick, because she wouldn't be able to go to the attraction tomorrow, and she already promised Springtrap that she would be there. She knew he wouldn't necessarily miss her if she missed the day for being sick, but she would miss him terribly. She did wish that the animatronics were alive though. It would be so much better.

Saphira looked out the window as they were stop at a set of traffic lights, and she saw that the lights were turning orange for the cars driving from left and right, making her smile. She looked to her right to see a black, pickup truck slowing down to stop at the lights, and they were able to go as the lights turn green. But as Nicholas drove forward, Saphira looked to her left, just as Nicholas drove forward.

Suddenly, Amanda screamed loudly, startling Saphira and Lucas. "Nicholas! WATCH OUT!"

BANG

It all happened so fast. Saphira screamed as she felt herself being jolted around in her seat, and she was suddenly tumbling around, with the horrible sound of crunching as the roof of the car hit the ground as it rolled across the tarmac. Glass shattered, and Saphira hit her head hard, and it was enough to make her dazed and confused. And she wasn't able to focus as the violent movement continued until it finally came to a stop.

Saphira grimaced and whimpered as she was confused as to what has happened. Her vision was blurry as she looked around, and her head began to really hurt. She couldn't understand what was happening as she looked at her father. She saw a lot of blood on his face from shattered glass, and his head was looking down, and he wasn't moving. She blinked as she was so confused as to what has just happened.

She turned her head just in time to see the black pickup truck driving by, with a large dent across the bumper as it drove away. "Mommy!" Saphira shouted and tried to move, only to scream from pain in her back and legs. "Daddy! Everything hurts!" She began to cry loudly and she turned her head slightly to look at Lucas. "Lucas! What happened?" She saw Lucas was leaning closer to her, and his eyes were still open, but he was not blinking. Blood dripped from his mouth and she saw that his door was crushed against him. "Lucas!"

"Hey, hey!" Saphira screamed as she heard a man's voice speaking to her calmly, and she looked out the window to see it was a police officer. "It's okay, darling. We are going to help you, an ambulance is on it's way." Saphira sobbed as he yanked the door open. The man leaned in and began to check her over while the girl cried. "It's okay, honey. You will be okay."

Saphira turned her head slowly again to look at Lucas. Seeing him completely still and lifeless scared her. And she screamed at him. "LUCAS!"

Sitting upright in her bed in a state of fear and shock, a seventeen-year-old took deep breaths as she worked on calming herself down. She let some tears fall from her eyes as she hated reliving this memory sometimes. It was a memory she had wanted to forget for a long time. She wiped the sweat from her forehead as she sobbed softly. She looked to her bedroom window to see a bit of light filtering through, which meant the sun was rising right now.

Her lower lip trembled as she brushed back strands of her black hair from her face before she got out of her bed and walked into her ensuite bathroom to wash her face. She walked over to the vanity and turned on the faucet to splash her face with cold water before wiping it with a cloth. She took a deep breath and looked at herself in the mirror, staring at the green eyes looking back at her. She couldn't believe she dreamed about it again. The very last day her brother was alive. And the very last day she ever spent at that attraction.

Saphira let more tears fall, knowing it has been ten years since that day. But the pain never really went away. Especially as there was so much pain afterwards, and she hoped to never go through it again. Though her family has never been the same again since that day. And Saphira has felt like she was invisible a lot of the time now. But she was alive. And she often felt it was not fair that she lived, and her brother died. Especially as she and her brother had a great relationship.

She walked out of her bathroom and looked towards the old bookshelf she had. On it were dozens of mementos from her past. Her mother tried to get rid of it, but she didn't want to. Her mother called them cursed because of what happened, but Saphira was able to save them. Especially her scrapbook and the necklace. It was actually a miracle that they were not destroyed in the accident. And while that day haunts her, she couldn't really forget the attraction.

She grabbed the necklace box and opened it, looking at the necklace with a smile. She has not worn it since that day. But she would look at it from time to time. She gently brushed her fingers over the pendent thoughtfully before she closed the box and placed it back before climbing back into her bed to try and get some more sleep. She didn't need to start the day with a nightmare of that day in her past. Especially as she had needed the sleep.

After all, she has been searching for jobs for a while, and she needed to keep searching today. That was what she has been instructed to do. Especially as her parents have told her that she would be on her own when she turned eighteen. They have also never gotten over the accident. But they have somehow found a way to blame her for it. Even though Saphira knew none of them could have known this would have happened. She sighed deeply as she closed her eyes to try and go back to sleep, hoping that she could find somewhere who would take her in as an employee.
