"Hello..? Are you okay..?"

The words echoed inside his mind as he began to regain consciousness. He slowly sat up, rubbing his forehead as he tried to recollect what had happened. He then remembered a strange light, a loud boom, a dark forest, a human wearing red cornets holding a stick, with brown/black hair and a bow tie, and a witch girl.

"Oh good, you're okay!" the voice said relieved.

Ugh! "What a strange dream…" he said. He then chuckled. "Man, you won't believe this! Had a strange dream where I saw a talking red…" He opened his eyes as he turned towards the sound of the voice, only to stare into the eyes of Reimu. "…human who was... a shrine maiden…"

He gasped as he pulled away from the shrine maiden that loomed over him with concern in her eyes.

"Whoa! Take it easy! Don't pass out on us again or else Marisa is gonna force her magic to wake you up!"

He slowly got a grip on himself as he calmed down and took in his surroundings. It was no dream. He was REALLY in a forest, with a REAL Shrine Maiden and a REAL Magician Girl in his eyes. It was REAL! He slowly turned towards Reimu and looked at her with confusion in his eyes.

"Who are you?!"

"Welp, those mushrooms are still fizzling his mind again..." the Marisa muttered.

"Ugh! I already told you twice! My name is Reimu, Rei-mu Haku-rei. This is Marisa." She nodded her head over to her little assistant. "And now, if it's not too much trouble considering we found you knocked out in the Forest of Magic, who are you Human?"

The human looked at them both. He still couldn't believe what he was seeing or hearing within his eyes, but there was no point in denying it. He took a deep breath before finally answering.

"Dunson… My name is Dunson for peaks sake."

"Alright then… 'Dunson'. It's good to see you're okay. You really had us worried." She sighed with relief. With the name learning out of the way, now came question number 2. "So, what are you doing in Gensokyo? You are most certainly not a Yokai and is a human from the outside world, considering that you're not safe around Gensokyo. There are Yokais lurking to find humans as a source for food"

"What? No I… I was just doing by usual until a beam of light of a portal was there and blindsided me." Said Dunson rather hesitant, never taking his eyes of Reimu as she regarded him curiously. "But shoot, can't believe this place is a ghost world where they could take my soul and would possibly consume me..."

"Wait, a portal?!" Reimu exclaimed with confusion. She had read all there was about Equestrian wildlife and sapient beings, but never had she come across anything like that. "That means your from the outside world right?" And through within her thoughts. "I bet that old hag is responsible for this..."

"What? Of course I'm from the outside world, if you meant that 'Outside World' is Earth" Said Dunson rather hesitant, never taking his eyes of Reimu as she regarded him curiously.

"Earth?!" Reimu exclaimed with confusion. "Does this mean, you're are outsider?!"

"Duh, so why I'm in Gensokyo anyway?"

"Nah. Back to the question. Is earth really a-"

"No… It's a planet…"

"Planet? WAIT! You… You mean… Oh for haggy sake, you actually are from the outside world!" Reimu asked bewildered with hint of excitement in her eyes but will figure out who was responsible for bringing the human in Gensokyo. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever believe she would meet a Human outsider from Earth. The Maiden thought of a world outside of Gensokyo sounded so absurd, and yet here was the proof. This made her smile greater than Yukari.

"Reimu… Calm down-ze…" Marisa tried to calm down his overexcited friend while he glanced at Dunson with an apologetic smile. Dunson just stared and didn't say a word. "You seemed to get a bit excited like this, when you kinda a grump due to your knowledge-ze."

"Okay… Okay… Sorry about that…" Reimu smiled nervously as she sat down across from Dunson. She eyed him with broad smile, which made him somewhat uncomfortable for some reason. "Please Dunson, perhaps you could tell us how you got here?"

As Dunson tried to explain about what had happened, she started to envision herself at the Hakurei Shrine Committee, presenting her latest discovery to an ensemble of the Gensokyo residents about her human companion and wanting the Hakurei Shrine to get more donations…

…Humans, Yokai, and many residents applauded and cameras flashed as the Oni and drink obsession, Suika Ibuki, trotted out across the stage towards the podium, while the residents are donating their money on the Donation Box to enter in the Hakurei Shrine for the ceremony.

"Ladies and Gentleman! Tonight, our very special shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, Reimu Hakurei, of Gensokyo, will present to us the greatest discovery in all of Gensokyo!" The very mention of Reimu's name was met with cheers from her friends in the first row, especially Marisa, who smirked at Reimu with excitement. "And so, without further ado , I present to you; Miss Reimu Hakurei!"

Cameras flashed as Reimu entered the stage. The Chairmare moved aside as she ascended the podium and beheld the vast audience. Calm and relaxed, she cleared her throat and spoke.

"Everyone across Gensokyo! Today I unveil to you all the greatest discovery of our time!" She turned her head, and pointed at the covered up secret suddenly appeared and was spotlighted. "Behold! The human from the outside world of earth!" She removed the coverings with her stick-wand, revealing Dunson as he stood there waving at the audience with a smile.

Gasps and awes were heard as cameras flashed and flickered. She smiled greatly as she was showered with applause and cheers.

"You've made a remarkable discovery, Reimu-san!" Reimu turned her head and saw Yukari Yakumo standing next to her. "I'm so proud of you!" she smiled.

Reimu muttered at her since she before suddenly feeling the hand of Sukia tapping gently on her shoulder. Yukari presented her with Gensokyo's most esteemed prized award. She smiled happily as it was placed around her neck.

"Reimu's Hakureihas won the Yin-Yang Prize!"

Reimu's smile was replaced with overwhelming joy as she began to hop around the stage exclaiming cheerfully as the Yoaki, the Oni Drink Obsession and crowd looked on smiling.

"Yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes…"

"…yesyesyesyesyesyes-YES!!"

A confused Dunson and unamused Marisa could only watch as Reimu for unexplained reasons bounced and jumped around them in ecstatic glee. Luckily, she soon realized what she was doing, stopped short in midair before placing her hooves back on the ground with an awkward smile.

"Is… Is she okay?" Dunson asked Marisa slightly worried.

"Reimu? You seemed to get a bit too excited on this human I assume-ze?"

Reimu looked at them both. She then turned her eyes on Marisa and grabbed her. "Excuse us at the moment, I have to speak with Marisa in a private capacity!" She said smiling at Dunson, as she pulled Marisa into the nearest bush. It all happened so fast that Dunsun only sat there blinking a few times, wondering what was going on.

"Ow! Hey! What are you doing, Reimu…?"

"Sssh!" She hushed Marisa; poking her head out of the bush a moment to make certain Dunson was still in view. Darting back down, she pulled Marisa close to her face with a huge smile on her face. "Marisa, do you realize what we have here?" Marisa shook his puffy lipped head. "A outsider human, Marisa! A visitor from outside world! I know ordinary humans would need to live in the Human Village to survive and avoiding Yokais that are dangerous, but you understand what this means?"

"What? Aren't we supposed help this Human lead to the Human Village to have him not get attacked by Yokais? I don't understand what you're planning with the Human-ze…"

"Donations! Recognition! And anything by a ceremony! A chance for me to earn my place among the Greats for the Hakurei Shrine!" She released Marisa and clopped her hands together. "Think about it Marisa! Think of the possibilities!"

Marisa looked blankly at her before starting to envision what she was thinking. She had the minds to help the Human get things sorted for him to settle in Gensokyo. A mental image of Reimu appeared in his thoughts as a golden Yin-Yang Metal was placed her neck by Sukia and Yukari.

'Reimu Hakurei has won the Yin-Yang Prize!'

"Nah!" Marisa shook her head and reimagine it again, only now with Marisa in a witch outfit.

'Reimu Hakurei has won the Hoofbel Prize for Magical-Trick techniques!'

'Spell Card activated!' Reimu used her Spell Card to wreck Cirno beside her.

Marisa snickered a bit. Then he had another thought.

'Marisa Kirisame has won the Yin-Yang Prize!' The crowd cheered.

"Thank you, thank you!" Marisa happily said bowing to the applauding public.

"MARISA!" Reimu yelled, causing the witch girl to snap out of her little daydreaming. She looked at Reimu with the look of disbelief on her face as she frowned at her.

"Hehe… Sorry about that-ze…" she chuckled. "Why would you want the human outsider for your plans anyway-ze?"

"Come on, Marisa! Dunson perhaps would be the most important discovery of all time." She then rubbed her hooves together as a creepy smile crept across her face. "He's going to make the Hakurei Shrine reach its full peak, once he understands our deal. You have to help me get him back to Human Village to have him study the history and survival of Gensokyo. Once there, I'll make the preparations ready for the Hakurei Shrine for a big special ceremony."

"At the Hakurei Shrine... Really-ze?"

"I can't wait to show Remilia, Sanae, and rub around Yukari's face for them about Dunson. They'll be thrilled when we get big amounts of cash in the Hakurei donation box!"

Unbeknownst to the both of them, Dunson had been eavesdropping on their less-than-silent conversation. He had grown suspicious of Reimu's lack of interest in his problems, and seemed to be more interested in him in general. He listened closely from behind the bush as Reimu unveiled more of her plans.

"He'll tell me everything I need to know. I'll present him to the greatest minds of our time. They would like know everything about him too. Every last detail about himself and possibly the outside world..."

Dunson felt a chill down his spine. He had seen and read this type of thing before. This Shrine Maiden was going to show him off like some captured rare and beautiful special case. He would then be placed in captivity, doing unnecessary work in a form of a janitor. He imagined himself being poked fun by Yokais roaming in the Hakurei Shrine as they'll poke fun at the Human for doing a Shrine Maiden's dirty work. He saw himself being nothing but a worthless human who's a janitor doing dirty work for a maiden, demanding to clean their house. He seemed to trust Marisa's instincts a hella more considering she's planning to help the human fit into the nature of Gensokyo.

'What if it wasn't enough?' he thought. 'What if they…'

He imagined himself being a janitor, as a Reimu slowly approached him. Clumsily would exploit him into doing Reimu's bidding and unnecessary work, much like doing what the maiden tells you to do, or else getting underpaid and getting burned out...

'No!' he shuddered. This was not going to be his fate. While Reimu was busy regaling Marisa with her plans, Dunson snuck off into the woods, taking his chances with local wildlife. 'You may be nice and all Reimu…' he thought to himself as he looked back. '…but I'm not going to bea janitor working for a shrinemaiden. You're Witchy Blonde Girl friend seems to understand my point of view and would at least rather help me learn about Gensokyo.'

"…And that's what we'll do. I tell you Marisa, this is going to be the best year of my life, even when this Human would need to adapt the survival of Gensokyo! Squee!" She smiled happily while Marisa dentally groaned, considering she wanted to help the poor human outsider fella trying to adapt the world of Gensokyo.

While she was happy for her, it meant she'll treat Dunson as her niche assistant and not do much with him. Marisa find the outsider as a sidekick and would rather provide him advice and support for him regardless of his situation from being transported to Gensokyo. At that moment Marisa looked past Reimu, her eyes widened as it turned out a certain human they encountered have roofed out. She then looked at Reimu. Her eyes darted nervously back and forward as she struggled on how to break this to her.

"Now them... Marisa, let's get Dunson to the Human Village. We'll have to be quiet about this, so that Sanae, Yukari, and Cirno doesn't get their scrubby hands on him. But, don't you dare tell anyone to get the wind of this before the unveiling."

"I think that's going to be a problem… Since Dunson has pretty much have ranched off..."

"Of course it won't." Remiu smirked, looked at her puzzling. "What makes you think that, Marisa?"

"Because…" She pointed. Remiu looked behind her and her eyes went wide as saucers. It's apparent that Dunson have run off. "He pretty much overheard something-ze..."

"GASP! HE'S GONE!?!" She exclaimed, taking the words right out of Marisa's mouth. She dashed out the bush and looked frantically around for him. "WHERE DID HE GO? WHY DID HE RAN AWAY??"

"I don't know…" Marisa emerged from the bush and was instantly grabbed by Reimu as she pressed her panicking face against her. "I guess you weren't a bit quiet and he accidentally overheard our conversation of your plannings on a Shrine ceremony so..."

"We have to find him Marisa!!" She dropped Marisa and levitated into the woods. "You look over there! Let me know if you find him!" Marisa picked himself up, muttering to herself and walked the other way while using her broom to fly and search for Dunson.

Somewhere close by, Dunson ran through the dark magical woods. Being unfamiliar with his new surroundings, he didn't feel at all safe. The foliage was so dense and thick he had trouble finding his way through. Every so often he would hear unearthly creatures howl or growl somewhere in the darkness of the forest. He could tell these woods were filled with dangers, but he pushed that thought aside. As long as he was far away from that unicorn, he was safe as he could be.

Stopping one moment to catch his breath, Dunson turned to see if anyone followed him. Seeing no one, he was about to continue forward, when he suddenly saw Reimu ahead of him, but was caught off guard that she can miraculously fly without any wings, which made him more confused and unable to understand the logic behind Gensokyo's magic. Dunson quickly dived behind a tree as Reimu looked for him in every direction. Unable to find him, she trotted onward, her Stick-Wand glowing intensely as she used it as a searchlight. As soon as she had disappeared from view, Dunson drew a relieved sigh, until a certain Witch popped out of a bush next to him.

"REIMU! HE'S OVER HERE!"

As Marisa tried to make a grab for him, Dunson immediately took off, causing Marisa to trip and got her broom stuck in a bush. As Marisa tried to get her broom off the bush, Dunson had long since disappeared into forest. He ran as fast as he could, knowing every stop he made would bring Reimu down upon him. He hadn't gotten far when Reimu, seemingly levitated and dropped down to stop his steps, appeared right in front of him, smiling victoriously.

"GOTCHA YOU OUTSIDER!"

Surprised, Dunson quickly made a detour, never stopping as he heard her run after him. Being more agile, Dunson managed to gain a great distance by slipping through the foliage with barely a scratch on him. Thinking he had finally outrun her, he suddenly found her standing ahead of him, waiting.

"DON'T RUN! I CAN OFFER YOU A DEAL IF YOU JUST STOP RUNNING AWAY LIKE A COWARD!"

He ignored her offering, knowing it's a trap, and tried running another direction, only to find it too blocked by Reimu as she seemed to drop down in front of her, thanks to her flying ability. He skidded to a halt and backtracked, only to see Reimu again stand in his way.

"This is impossible!" He said exhausted. "How are you able to manipulate this level of gravity and…?" He looked back the way he came and realized that Reimu had somehow been able to levitate up like a a fast eagle and dropped at will. He then looked back at Reimu and noticed her Stick-Wand glowed even more.

"I'm a shrine maiden for a special occasion, outsider." she said with a smirk. "I master nearly all forms of magic and spell cards during the incidents in Gensokyo from the past…" She suddenly vanished and appeared behind Dunson, startling him so that he fell to the ground. "…Even teleportation!"

Dunson trembled with fear. This Maiden knew magic and is a veteran experiencer! It was real and she was using it! He watched as she slowly trotted over to him, smiling deviously, knowing all too well she had everything under control. Dunson bolted up and tried to run away again to not associate from this powerful shrine maiden. He had to get away somehow to avoid being caught. He had to!

"Time to end this…"

As Dunson ran, he suddenly noticed something strange. He was running, but he wasn't going anywhere. To make things even more strange, his feet weren't touching the ground. He then noticed he was completely covered in a strange white aura.

"Do you like my levitation spell-ze?" Dunson turned and saw Marisa using her broom and used her magic, standing behind him and is beside Reimu. As she tilted her head backwards, he was suddenly pulled back through the air, stopping only a foot away from her. "It's really handy in capturing and retrieving humans that try to get away-ze. But understand what Reimu's trying to tell you-ze." she said smiling with an honest tone in her voice, causing Dunson to gulp, but knowing that Marisa is brutally honest, he had to escape at some point from Reimu, but hopes to speak to Marisa on a soloist.

Reimu giggled. She didn't mean to frighten Dunson, but since he was being so stubborn she had to put some mental fear in him to make him compliant. Just then, she heard Marisa as he walked up beside her, having to land to the ground and holds her broom out.

"Mission accomplished Marisa!" Reimu said happily as she patted Marisa on her back. As Marisa used her magic, Dunson helplessly floated behind her as she trotted back to the Human Village. "This has been really fun, but you have an engagement with the Ceremony, Yig-Yang Committee. Golden Prize, here I come!"

As Reimu skipped through the forest with Marisa riding her broom and Dunson in tow, Dunson pondered on a way to escape. He looked thoroughly at his predicament. He was a few feet above the ground, with no way of getting down unless the witch's magic gave out. He sat down (in midair) as he thought of a way to get out of this.

He then noticed a branch that hung pretty low from a tree they were passing by. He slowly reached out his arms and made a grab for the branch. He succeeded and held on tight as the unicorn continued on her merry way completely unaware. Dunson sighed with relief, until he felt himself being pulled. He quickly wrapped his arms tight around the branch and held on as he realized what was happening. He was still in Marisa's spell as Marisa noticed something was wrong!

"Huh?" Marisa suddenly had trouble moving. It seemed as if something was holding her back. She tried walking forward, digging her hooves into the ground, only to find herself skidding backwards. "What's going on-ez? Reimu, something is hindering my magic!"

Reimu scratched her head, confused of what Marisa said and turned around. She then pointed at her direction at Marisa to get her attention. "Uh… Marisa."

She looked back and saw to her surprise that Dunson was far behind them. He had his arms wrapped thoroughly around the branch and holding on for dear life as he was being pulled towards Marisa.

"Hey!" Annoyed but flabbergasted, she used her horn, increased her magic and tried to pull Dunson loose from the branch. Dunson could do nothing but hold on as the branch slowly began to bend in Marisa's direction. Using all her strength, Marisa gritted her teeth and pulled as hard as she could. "Let go!"

CRACK!

Dunson winced as he heard the branch gave a snippet break off. The strain had been too much, and it had finally given way by her magic. Still holding on, Dunson shut his eyes as he was being pulled with great speed towards both Marisa and Reimu.

"Wha… Waitwait! STOP!!!"

CRASH!

Seconds later, Dunson opened his eyes. He suddenly found himself lying on the ground. The white aura was gone and he could move. Felling a bit dazed, he slowly got up and saw Reimu lying on the ground next to him, dazed from the crash. Next to her was the broken branch. He carefully approximately her. Her eyes were twirling and seeing stars and coins as she giggled and babbled incoherent nonsense about her Shrine. She had taken the full impact of the tree branch, knocking her out.

He then saw Marisa lying on the ground as he too had taken quite a spill, though technically, breaking the spell. Her injuries however were less severe and she was starting to wake up to know whatever happened. Seeing his chance, Dunson dashed into the woods.

"Ow… What happened?" Marisa rubbed her head, wincing as it hurt. But getting through her instincts, she looked around and saw that Dunson had escaped. But, looking back, she noticed Reimu was dazed and confused as she babbles about nonsense. "Yikes... Reimu isn't going to be happy about Dunson's escape, but we'll deal with him later-ze." Marisa uses her magic and carries Reimu and used her broom to fly back to the Marisa's House. "Come one Reimu, you'll need to settle down and take a bit of rest, and we'll get Dunson when a certain crow will find him."

After wandering for what seemed like hours, Dunson finally began to see light breaching through the magical forest. He then started to see a clearing. He picked up the pace and soon found himself out of the Forest of Magic. It felt good to feel the sun again, even though it wasn't the sun he knew. He didn't care. All that mattered to him was that Reimu and Marisa were far behind him, hopefully giving up their search for him, but doubted, since they will come back to hunt him down.

As he took in his surroundings, he could just see a town not too far away. He smiled. Where there was a town, there would be people. People that could probably give him shelter and hopefully have someone or something that could help him send him back to his world.

He walked before finally reaching a road that lead straight towards the town.

As he continued along the road, it wasn't long before he came across the Human Village but let alone, his attention got him the better... From the far distance from the Human Village was a huge Mansion miles away...

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Considering this is taking a comedic direction of this fic, why was Reimu obsessed with DUNSON other than helping him out adapt into Gensokyo. I wanted this story to be a comedic, humorous, adventure take of those tropes of a "insert character getting isekai'd and going to an adventure with the main characters" style. This is supposed to take a lampoon satire but a funny spin into this.

Also, yes, Reimu is still the Reimu. She just wanted to find a way to get more donations for her shrine since there are some fanon takes of her being into the cash at time, and some fanons portrays her as a grump and lazy maiden watching over her shrine. But, she does have sympathy and has a sense of a changing heart during the battles of those "Incidents" from the games

Now for the next chapter synopsis:
