Chapter 3: Last Saturday in Garfield

One seasonably chilly last Saturday of March 2024, I met up with my childhood friends Sarah, James, and Henri along with some of my other childhood friends Carly Shay and Spencer Puckett, as well as Carly's stepdad, Freddie Benson, at the taco truck in Garfield for Last Saturday. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. We jammed out to Kate Bush and NSYNC prior to the festival. We had tacos for lunch and then went to the Black Cat Market to play with the adopted cats. "Mr. Benson, are you guys staying with your extended family in Polish Hill?" Henri asked. "We sure are, Henri," Mr. Benson stated. "Well, I hope that you guys have a very happy Easter," Henri wished. "Same to you," Mr. Benson stated. "I am really looking forward to the spring and summer activities, Spencer," James stated. "Me too, James," Spencer agreed. "Thankfully, one of the activities is not juggling balls in the air," James stated. "I was not very good at that, but I am looking forward to cooking my own food and possibly winning prizes for them!" "I love all of the Easter crafts featured, especially dying Easter eggs," Carly stated. "Why is the festival being held during this cold and rainy weather, Sarah?" "I was wondering the same thing, Carly," Sarah agreed. "It feels more like a fall festival with fall crafts!" "That was also something that I attended back in high school with crafts and a scavenger hunt, 2 things that I am looking forward to in 2 days from today in Bloomfield!" "It made sense that your comparative partner was Grace because her class is partially like your class this year," I explained to Carly. "With 7 sweets and desserts that you really love!" "I feel like I do not get as much attention as Alex does because ever since Alex got her new job, I have been badly rejected," Carly stated. "I don't know if we are going to get to see her as much with Pittsburgh's Perfect Parties." "Alex told me that she will not be leaving the company, but she will just not be around as much," Sarah explained. "But, I hope that you guys have a good Easter, anyway!" Carly stated. "Same to you," Sarah stated. Pretty soon, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
