Chapter 4: Happy Easter!

The next day was Easter Sunday, and I met up with Sarah, James, and Henri, as well as some of my other best friends Alex Russo, Justin Evans, and Max Greenwald, at the Mifflin girls' apartment in Easter for a spring-themed party featuring an Easter hike and dinner. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my friends. "Happy Easter!" "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. "Happy Easter to you, too!" We jammed out to 98 Degrees and Lizzo to kick things off. The Bird's Eggs activity was featured at Frick Park in which we were all set to different entrances. At home, we created Happy Hands for a craft and a delicious Easter dinner featuring chicken parmesan, honey-glazed ham with pineapple, penne marinara, scalloped potatoes, and green beans almandine, with salad and Hannah's Baby Chick Rolls, and Samantha's Butterfly Cake. Alex got Blooming Bouquets for a favor and Sarah got Potpourri Pouches. "I think that the Butterfly Cake is the best dessert of all, Max," Henri stated, eating it hungrily. "I know, Henri," Max agreed. "Chocolate is the best!" "I lucked out with not having to cook the ham this year, Justin," James stated. "I love honey-glazed ham too, James," Justin happily agreed. "The Baby Chick Rolls are the best, Alex," Sarah happily stated. "Hannah is becoming a really good junior chef!" "I know, right, Sarah?" Alex agreed. "We both got to autograph the journal with our favorite savory foods." "Now, the activity journal is finally complete," I happily stated. "The hike around the park was a great way to burn off calories from special Easter food," Sarah happily stated. "Even though I didn't like taking gym class in middle school, it had its benefits to go with it." "Hannah is growing up to be the same age that I was when I took all of these health classes," Alex stated. "I even remember taking a Food Prep class my senior year." "You just never saw these girls when they were little 8-9 years ago," Sarah stated. "They really are catching up to us in age now!" "One more sleep until spring and summer activities begin," I happily stated. Then, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great evening, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
