Rory kept glancing back at Logan as she ordered icecream, he was wearing a creamy beige crewneck that gently clung to his muscles, he grinned at her, his entire face lighting up like a little boys. She smiled back at him naturally, unable to resist his contagious joy. Every second she was far from him she wanted nothing more than to run into his arms and laugh at his comforting banter.
So when she received the two icecreams she ran back right into his arms, he laughed, as he lost balance and stammered back a couple steps
"What did I do?" He asked taking the coffee icecream from her.
"I'm just really glad you're here" Rory said truthfully.
"Well time to try this" Logan said eyeing the coffee icecream loaded with everything from sprinkles to marshmellows.
"Diabetes in a cone" he muttered but smiled. Trying to look distainful as he licked the icecream.
"You know what ace, it is just as disgusting as I thought" he said grinning.
"Noooo There is just something wrong with your tastebuds", she said solemnly.
"Oh, for sure, Gilmore. Are you sure you want to be with a guy who's tastebuds don't work?" Logan asked, his familiar creases around his twinkiling eyes showing his joke. pulling her in and giving her a gentle kiss, then he proceeded to sling his hands around her shoulder as they began to walk.
"Just this once I shall make an exception" Rory said smiling and looking into his eyes, as a shiver ran down her spine.
She took a cautious bit of the salted caramel icecream,
"Good" she said approvingly.
Logan widened his eyes, "Really?" he asked
"But this is better!" Rory said swiftly snatching back the coffee icecream.
Logan mock rolled his eyes and took the salted caramel icecream, then before she could stop him, he smeared a little onto Rory's nose.
"One of these days I am going to fling you off a building!" Rory said trying to conceal the grin that was threatening to take over her face.
Logan burst out laughing and Rory couldn't help joining in.
She succeeded in smearing her icecream onto his cheek.
And then an ultimate icecream battle commenced which left them sprinting down the road chasing eachother. Kirk, who was sitting in Weston's bakery with his pig Petal looked up from his chair by the window, only to catch sight of Rory screaming while dying from laughter, running past. Logan was only a fraction behind her brandishing his icecream .
"Ace, since when can you run as fast as Finn going through girls!" he yelled after her laughing.
After a second of more screeching and laughing he caught up to her and picked her right up, holding her close to his chest. Rory's heart thudded and grew quicker at his intimate presence. With a gentle finger, he wiped a little of the icecream away from her face and ate it.
"mmmm Gilmore flavoured icecream, my favourite" he joked.
He leaned in closer and kissed her, he tasted of salted caramel and sweetness with that familiar hint of something almost peachy that she associated with his moved down to her through kissing down her pulse.
He gently re-united her with the ground and offered her a hankerchief to wipe away the remains of the icecream.
"Jesus Hunzberger, you have a hankerchief, I thought they stopped manufacturing boys like that" Rory said wiping down her face.
"In Omnia Paratus" Logan said smiling. "But I am no ordinary boy" he said giving rory a wink that was so devastatingly perfect that she felt like she was going to faint.
"Coffee!" Rory suddenly exclaimed.
"But you have just had coffee icecream" Logan exclaimed exasperated.
Rory raised her eyebrows.
"Your point?" she asked.
"Nothing" Logan said flasing her a smile.
"To Lukes we go?" he asked.
" Yep, Ceasar will be serving because Luke is out" Rory said nodding.
"I swear Coffee makes you the happiest" Logan grumbled
"Coffee is a religion, it is the Harry to my Sally, the writing to my book, the French accent to my Michel" Rory exclaimed nudging him.
"How shall I ever compete" Logan said, mock sighing and staring into the distance.
"Oh get coffee a motorbike and I am dumping your ass for him" Rory said chuckling.
