Happy Easter!
Episode: Dangerous Game
"Report!" Black Knight snapped as she walked into the room. A pawn handed her a tablet.
She scrolled through the data before throwing it back at the pawn who barely caught it. Crossing her arms with a scowl on her face. "Where could they have hidden him?" She asked no one in particular. Turning, she glared at one of the black pawns. "Get me Dr. Salazar!"

Blue and orange light reflected against Caesar's welding mask as the torch melted metal against metal.
"Dr. Salazar!" A black pawn curtly addressed the scientist. He roughly grabbed his shoulder. Caesar spun around while holding the torch, flame still on. It raked across the black pawn's chest. He stumbled back yelling in surprise and pain.
"Oh, lo siento, sorry." He said without much emotion. "But you should be careful when interrupting someone with a blow torch." He lifted it as if to illustrate his point.
The black pawns that had come with the injured pawn all took a step back.
"Black Knight is requesting your presence." One of them said nervously.
"She doesn't need to send so many of you to relay that message, did she?" He turned off the torch and removed his mask. "Tell her I'll be there when I get this accelerator to work."
"She wants you there now."
"Do you want this to blow up because I left it half finished?" He asked coldly. "Will you take responsible if half the base goes missing?"
All of them now edged towards the door. "W…w…well, she won't be happy."
"She's never happy." He muttered under his breath. He picked up a remote and pressed a button.
Everyone flinched as the invention started up. Whirling sounds came from the cylinder before glowing bright white. It then started teeter back and forth.
"Sir? Maybe you should…" Several black pawn started leaving the room.
"Shhhh." Caesar hushed the anxious soldiers.
Just when they thought the machine would explode, Caesar shut it off. "Success!" He beamed. He turned to the soldiers who were halfway out the door. "You're lucky I'm done. I will go see Black Knight now." He calmly walked passed them.

Black Knight sat at her desk staring at one of the many screens on her desk when her intercom beeped.
"Dr. Salazar is here to see you."
"Send him in." She said brusquely.
The doors slid open as the young scientist strode in. "You asked for me?" He asked in a detached tone.
"I need a way to locate the EVO named Feakins. He seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth." She matched his attitude.
"That is an impossibility since matter can not be destroyed." Caesar answered. "Is this the EVO that can create an area that neutralizes EVO's abilities?"
"The one and the same." She nodded.
"It's a shame you couldn't get him first. I guess the black pawns were not as elite as previous thought." He said flatly. "Imagine studying that ability to help cure incurable EVO's."
Caesar watched carefully to see, Black Knight's reaction. If she was angered by his passive aggressive response, she didn't show it. A sly smile played across her lips. "Well, Dr. Salazar since the black pawns have failed shouldn't an elite scientist step in to help or perhaps the scientists are the same."
Keeping his face blank, Caesar answered, "I'm sure Dr. Rylander and I can find a solution."
"See that you do. It's our best nonlethal weapon against your brother. You do want to make sure your brother stays safe, don't you?" She placed her chin on her hands and smiled at him.
Caesar keeping his face straight nodded slightly. "Don't worry about Rex. He'll come around."
"He better." She said with a slight edge in her voice. "Dismissed."
Caesar turned around and left. As he walked to his lab, he clenched his fists.
As he stepped inside the lights automatically turned on. "Gabriel!"
A green cylinder in the middle of the room lit up. The man floating in the liquid opened his eyes.
"What's wrong Caesar?" He asked sleepily.
"How far along are we?" He asked.
"Well, we've done all we could on our end but without Peter and Van Kleiss, we're at an impasse." He admitted.
"Black Knight want that EVO that can negate powers. She wants us to find him." Caesar told him.
"Are we going to find him?" Rylander asked.
"We have to at least look like we are." Caesar said.
"That's going to be hard to do." Rylander mused.
"Yes, Rex and Dr. Holiday hid him very well." Caesar rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "But nothing stays hidden forever." He paused a moment. "We can use this as a distraction as we put in some fail safes."
"Hmmm, that's a dangerous game you're playing. What if you get caught?" Rylander queried.
"We've been playing for a while now. It's only going to get worse." Caesar said grimly. "Are you still in?"
Rylander laughed. "I don't have much of a choice right now do I? But of course, I'm in. This is my god child we're talking about after all."
"Good. Start with recalibrating the pods. I'm going to devise a way to keep Black Knight happy and off our case." Caesar walked out of the lab with new determination.
Not really an action packed story. I really wish there was less fillers in season 3. They could have shown more things that could have happened to get all the characters in their respective spots in the last episode in End Game.
I'm still not really feeling it. I'm starting to go back to reading some fan fiction. But life is still throwing lemons at me. Tomorrow is Easter which is a celebration of Jesus conquering death, which is ironic since tomorrow I also have a funeral of a dear friend. I hold onto the hope that this life is not the end and those of us who have accepted Jesus will all one day meet again. I wish you all the best.
