Jaune felt like this what was being in a kangaroo court was like.

Kara and him where sat at the end of the giant dinner table in the dining room. A giant long oak wooden table without any decoration aside from a very clear lamp hanging above it from the ceiling. The room was empty aside from them and Satoru Gojo standing at the other end of the table, his eyes covered by his blindfold, yet Jaune could feel his eyes burning into them.

They barely had any time to explain the situation towards everyone, nor the somewhat odd predicament of his time travelling young adult daughter being there with him, yet all the same he thought about regardless if she was there or not, Gojo would have been on his case.

"So…." Gojo started as he began walking towards the recently returned father and daughter "you say you come from the future."

He pointed accusatory at Kara, whose eyes darted towards her father for moral support. He gave her a nod of understanding.

"Yes I'm from the future" Kara said truthfully.

"And who send you?"

"Uhm…." Kara said fidgeting in her seat "well that's the thing I uh…I send myself…"

Gojo raised his eyebrows at that. "Oh really? And tell me why would you feel the need to get back to the past?"

Kara looked nervous and sighed audibly. She shot her father a worrying glance and Jaune stood up, almost on fatherly instinct to be there for his daughter as she seemed clearly in distress.

"Look Gojo stop it with this interrogation! She saved my life in that prison realm! For goodness sake she's my daughter leave her alone!"

Gojo frowned as he stepped forward and in quick succession grabbed Jaune by the collar.

"Listen to me you scrawny wannabe knight! I am not in the mood for your attitude or that of your daughter! I have to find Creel and make him pay for what he did to Yuta you understand me!"

Jaune recoiled slightly, he had never seen Gojo this angry, nor was he ever this close to him. Instead he stoically stared at him. That was until Kara broke the silence.

"Wait what happened to Yuta?" she asked.

Gojo pushed Jaune to the side as he walked over towards Kara.

"He's dead," he said clutching his fist "killed by Henry Creel who I've been trying to locate ever since."

"But…but that can't be…in my future uncle Yuta is alive. He's married to aunt Ruby I don't…don't get it…"

Gojo loosened his fist and raised an eyebrow "well it seems your future might have changed. Speaking of which, if you are truly from the future and you know so much maybe you can find out where that monster Creel is hiding and…"

"ENOUGH!"

Following the shout was the doors to the room opening up and Jaune looked and saw Qrow walking through the door. His expression was now livid, quite opposite from the normal apathetic glance he had. He looked positively angry.

"Jaune and…future Kara…you two can leave" Qrow told them.

"I'm not done with them" Gojo responded with an annoyed huff.

"Too bad. They have literally come back from a literal prison and you're here grilling them about it! Let them see their friends who have been worried sick about them! Let him see his daughter whose been asking where her dad has been since the moment he disappeared. For goodness sake Gojo have some humanity!"

Qrow pulled Jaune away from Gojo and gestured at him and Kara to leave "go and see your daughter. She needs you…I mean the young version of her…you get what I mean."

Jaune nodded in understanding and ran out of the room with his time travelling young adult daughter following suit. Leaving Qrow with an annoyed and frustrated Gojo.

"What is your deal Qrow? Have you been drinking more then usual? You have been more argumentative then ever and I'm getting tired of it."

Qrow scoffed audibly "you getting tired of me! Oh that's rich boss, very rich. You want to know what I'm tired off…."

"Please do enlighten me?" Gojo responded almost mockingly as he crossed his arms.

"I'm tired of you and your obsession with Creel. For the past few weeks all you have done is search and search for him and you know what that has gotten you! nothing! Nada! Zero! He's still as elusive as ever. Meanwhile you have been treating my niece horribly, push everyone aside including your own students so much so that they left this school. And now you are here grilling Jaune and that girl who have literally just escaped from a hell in itself! You've gone way too far!"

"Are you done?" was the only thing Gojo could say.

"Not even close. Man you where insufferable before but now you are positively impossible to be around right now! What would Yuta say if he saw you right now."

Gojo's stoic demeanor seemed to crack slightly as he seemed to become less tense, as if he was weighing the words that Qrow was saying.

"And another thing I…."

Suddenly Qrow was interrupted by a loud beeping suddenly flooding the room. He recognized the sound and grabbed for his belt. On it a pencil shaped device was emitting the sound and glowing a bright red.

"That's the emergency signal…" Gojo said.

"Megumi…." Qrow muttered and before long he immediately ran out of the room, leaving Gojo alone as he began to ponder what Qrow had just said.

As soon as Qrow had exited the Jujutsu academy he had jumped in the air and morphed into his crow form and had taken to the sky. He flew to where the emergency device had signaled it has come from. Those being the forests right near the academy.

As Qrow flew over the road he spotted a single solitary vehicle laying still on the road. He dived downwards and turned back human as soon as he hit the ground, landing right next to the car. The headlights where still on and shining brightly. The car doors where open on both sides.

It was Megumi and Power's car. The one that Qrow had saw them leave a good thirty minutes ago. And now here it stood, completely abandoned, left behind as if Power and Megumi where in a hurry to get out.

"What happened here…" Qrow mumbled to himself.

He pulled the emergency beacon from his pocket and allowed its signal to guide him. And it led him right into the nearby forest. It was dark and he could barely see, simply being guided by the signal and small light the beacon provided.

Qrow after a solid ten minutes of walking through the dark forest, only barely illuminated by the moonlight, ultimately heard the familiar ping of a device. He looked up and saw a small glimmer on the ground.

He ran towards the spot and saw to his horror the familiar portal device, smashed to pieces, cracked wide open as if it was crushed. He picked it up and look around, desperately searching for traces of Megumi and Power. Even though he knew they weren't in this world anymore.

"What happened…." Qrow muttered as he put the broken pieces of the portal device in his pocket and shifted into bird form once more, flying right out of the forest. Completely unaware of a pair of glowing eyes from the nearby brushes observing him.
