Disclaimer: I don't own Danny Phantom or Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. I do not own the original story this is based on.

In the swamp, Danny laid against the twisted tree as he recalled the events leading up to now. It was only days before today, and yet the memory was as fresh as a daisy. He breathed in the scent as he squeezed Phantasma closer. The banshee knew what he was thinking as she took a bite out the fudge brownie Shaggy gave her.

It was almost silly, thinking about, as the events unfolding to now started with another persisting visiting from the Box Ghost.

"Beware! For today, I bring the Lunchbox of DOOM!" Box Ghost bellowed as he held up a standard pail lunch box. Why he used a discontinued form of the travel bag for luncheons, no one ever cared to think about as he opened it.

Sandwiches spewed from the box and flew in the air as they arched down, hitting the counter sidewalk, streets, and driveways. Windows, mailboxes, drenched and trees bounced the tasty treats as they rained onto everyone present, including Danny and Phantasma, who were with their friends guiding Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby-Doo.

Danny, Phantasma, and everyone else were ignoring him, save for Shaggy and Scooby, who were in a mix of fear and hunger. The latter could not help in wanting to devour the breaded snacks, yet their hair was standing on end.

Velma kept staring at the Box Ghost and said, "Is this some kind of street show?"

"This is no street show! I am the Box Ghost! And I bring to you, YOUR DOOOM!" The ectoplasmic pest spoke as dramatically as he could, per usual. "Watch as these high cholesterol sandwich bring you closer to your demise!"

Danny and Phantasma could not resist yawning. They had just helped Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby settle in. Tucker had opted to let Velma stay at his place, but his father had put his foot down on the matter. There was no way to trust his son in letting his girlfriend spend her nights at the house with a no locked doors policy. There was already enough trouble with computers.

In lieu of this becoming a problem, Sam had stepped in, giving a room for the bespectacled girl as Shaggy and Scooby-Doo had been invited to stay at Fenton Works, courtesy of Phantasma and the use of puppy dog eyes.

Scooby had pulled off the trick without a hitch. Plus, Jack and Jazz were so excited to have a talking dog over.

"Should we...do something?" Danny whispered in Phantasma's ear, gesturing to the Box Ghost. This encounter was never noteworthy, compared more to a comedy bit.

"I mean, we're in the middle of giving Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby a tour...don't you think this can wait too?" Phanty replied, staring blankly at the Box Ghost as sandwiches kept raining down.

"Hey! I have feelings to you know!" The Box Ghost shook his fist.

"Yeah...this can definitely wait. I mean, this is a new level of pathetic, even for him," Danny added.

"True...true." Phantasma nodded.

"For the last time! Stop ignoring me!" The Box Ghost now floated in front of the ghostly couple, waving his arms like a fan. He growled and and stuttered as Tucker led Velma around the "danger zone."

Sam scoffed, following the two nerdy lovebirds as she rolled her eyes at the wannabe enemy.

Once again, the Box Ghost bellowed for attention, threatening the town folks around with his supernatural box powers, lifting mailboxes as he proclaimed to give everyone a nasty storm of paper cuts.

While that was potentially a threat, a step up in his game, his coming grand speech of terror was interrupted by a tap on the shoulder.

It was Shaggy with Scooby-Doo. The two were barely afraid as they walked behind the ghost. "Like, you got a spicy mustard of doom on you?" He said.

"Am I the condiment ghost?! No! I am the—wait? What're you doing?" The Box Ghost dropped his face.

"Like, eating our doom." The lanky boy took out half of the sandwich in his hand with one bite. Scooby followed with scarfing down one whole piece, smacking his lips. "And I gotta tell you, it's a little dry. Hahaha!"

This enraged the Box Ghost further, but his anger wilted as he noticed the street seemed to be lacking its abrupt sandwich decorations.

Looking around, the only details left were the scents of pastrami on rye and the loud smacking of lips courtesy of the tall, lanky boy and his dog as they practically inhaled another sandwich.

"Ok...you guys might reach your doom faster," The Box Ghost said in a lower tone. Putting away the lunch pail, he floated back slowly, keeping his eyes on Shaggy and Scooby. "In fact, how are you doing that?"

Shaggy shrugged, taking a bite from another sandwich. At this rate, all of the boxed lunches would be devoured within minutes by the boy and his dog, yet neither seemed bloated.

"Like, I don't know. Scoob?" The dog shook his head, also eating another sandwich. Shaggy turned around. "Velma?"

Velma was staring with arched brows at the Box Ghost. Part of her could not help feeling skeptical at his "rampage," looking more like street magic than anything supernatural. The square spirit caught on to her gaze, returning it with an angry face.

"What're you looking at? Never seen a ghost before?" The Box Ghost flew up to the bespectacled girl's face, now screaming at the top of his lungs. "I AM THE BOX GHOST! AND YOU'RE APPARENTLY A VELMA!"

That got a reaction as tears formed in Velma's eyes. She started shivering, huddling down as Tucker held onto her.

The Box Ghost smiled in victory, yelling so triumphantly as he flew away to cause more terror. Ignoring the glares from the group, the specter did not know he would incure the wraith of Danny and Tucker later that day.

But right now, Tucker was just soothing his girlfriend.

"Velma, are you ok?" Tucker intertwined her hand with his as their fingers curled together. It stopped his girlfriend from shivering as she stood back up.

"I'm fine, Tucker. It's just the way that ghost said my name," Velma said. "It was like a curse. Almost as if my name could be used to spite someone."

Tucker stammered for a response, barely getting out an investigative question for his curiosity. He had heard of curses, but never having a name used as one unless it was an insult. That, or the school bullies needed a punching bag.

"Hahaha! Like that's crazy." Shaggy scratched his head. "For some reason, you feel like people hate you thinking you're a jerk or something."

"Reah!" Scooby nodded.

"But she's the nicest person. You sound like you're talking about a completely different Velma!" Tucker complained. He grabbed his girlfriend by the hand, squeezing tight. "Why would you think that?"

Velma opened her jaw, but the sound of screams cut her off.

Citizens were running frantically as a ghoulish roar echoed in the streets.

"Zoinks! Like what is that?!" Shaggy's hair stood on end. His body shivering, producing a bony sound as Scooby made it a duet.

"Father," Phantasma whispered, gripping Danny's hand tighter. She could feel his other limb wrap around her, keeping her place.

She wanted nothing more than to fly up and question her father, but a hand stopped her.

"Like, Phanty, why is your dad doing this?" Shaggy whispered.

"I...I don't have the answers." Tears formed on Phantasma's eyes as she wiped them away. Part of her wanted nothing more than to end this, but there was doubt.

The Phantom was acting like himself. There was no haunting or scaring, only destruction as the ghost lifted a car over his head and hurled it a few feet. The vehicle crashed and rolled, bouncing off the concrete as it headed towards the teens.

Tucker grabbed and lead her away as Sam followed. Scooby had gained a lead with his four legs, but slid to a stop as he noticed Shaggy was pulling at Phantasma to follow.

Phanty did not want to leave, ignoring the car tumbling towards her.

"Like, Phanty, time to go!" Shaggy tugged again.

The car was now a few feet away as it bounced.

The boy closed his eyes for the worst, but heard nothing. Slowly allowing his vision to blur in, between him, Phanty and the car stood Danny Phantom.

It seemed during the commotion, Danny managed to slip out and transform. And just in the nick of time.

Shaggy had trouble recalling if he ever met the ghost boy, but that was the last thing on his mind as he now pulled the banshee away. "Like thanks man, but I'd be careful. You don't like know if you hat ghost has kids."

With an arched brow, the ghost boy glanced over his shoulder, eying Phantasma. He could see the storm brewing her eyes, only offering a soft smile, telling her things will be alright.

Then and there, the banshee wanted nothing more than to believe Danny, but she knew better. Whatever was causing her father to behave this way only one person knew the answers.

And to her luck, that person was seen floating high above.

Shaggy pulled with all his might, but jerked forward as he felt nothing. A wet dog tongue was felt as the boy saw Scooby-Doo giving a concerned whine. The two turned toward the scene, but Phantasma was nowhere to be seen.

Tucker, Sam, and Velma hurried over to help the boy, guiding them as the carnage unfolded. But the lanky boy and his dog did not feel fear from the chaos, that was buried under another emotion.

Worry.

They knew Phantasma had done something and flown away, but they weren't sure to say. Tucker and Danny knew, but they weren't sure of Sam, yet. However, Velma was still in the dark.

And things took a turn for the worse as the sound of jet packs soared over, and the Master's Blasters appeared. Shaggy and Scooby could only collect guilt as they ran, praying for the best.

"You!" Phantasma's eyes glowed dangerously, like a caged, cornered animal. Free of her humane restraints, she zoomed like a bullet, zigzagging her way up. Her right fist grew out of instinct and threw itself, but was caught by one hand.

"Ah, yes. The little banshee that young Daniel is currently dating." Vlad's taunting voice was calm as he gave a side glance while inspecting his glove. "Let me guess. You're here to beat me and free your father. Oh how adorable," he chuckled at the end.

Phantasma flew back. Her enlarged right hand clenched tight as the left joined its rank. The ginormous hands clamped together on the older halfa, wrapping their fingers like snakes. Yet still, Plasmius continued to laugh at these attempts, taking the squeeze lightly.

"Only Danny gets to call me adorable, you!...You!—"

"Let me guess. Fruitloop? Cheesehead? Maybe something new that Daniel hasn't called me yet?" Vlad interjected, a tangy smile still on his face. The cool air around was pertinent against his need to escape. He felt the girl's wrath constrict tighter as he saw eyes glowing brighter.

"You...you...you!"

"You don't know what to say, do you?" Vlad darkly laughed in a low tone before his eyes glowed a brighter red. "Then, I'll be off."

Pushing against the hands effortlessly, Vlad focused ecto-energy through his, blasting a circular wave and free him as he flew up.

Phantasma knew she was not a threat to him, the fact making her angry boil to evaporation. Her ectoplasm furiously circulated inside as she stared at Vlad, who was nonchalantly floating.

She could not see through her anger how he was staring at the fight below as Danny kept to his fight between her father and the Master's Blasters under control.

The Phantom screamed, lurching forward with snapping motions as Danny grabbed his wrists.

"Seriously, what is going on?" Danny quipped, pushing the spirit back. "I can get you attacking me, but this...this isn't you!"

All he got in return was a snarl. Whatever was happening, right now, it was making Phantasma's father acting like an old time movie monster. Old Frankenstein films to be specific.

"Seriously? What is going on!? If you're trying to psyche me out, its working." Danny pushed back with lightly charged energy, trying not to truly harm the Phantom. But that option thinned with every second with the feral father glowing brighter with a turquoise aura.

With barely other options left, the ghost boy tightened his grip and focused icy ectoplasm onto his supposed foe. One quick cold prison and then he could get some answers, maybe. However, as the ice soon formed over the shoulders, a sharp pain hit his back, pushing him forward and tackling him into The Phantom, breaking the ice.

Another snarl was heard, only louder, as The Phantom made a swipe at Danny. The former did not think, acting on instinct as he fired concentrated ectoenergy at the spirit.

"...I'm really going to make it up to Phanty for this. Now who the heck hit me!?" Danny rubbed his back as he turned a one-eighty, frowning. "Oh, no. It's these guys."

The battle cry of the Master's Blasters is any as the trio of red and white suited ghost fighters flew through the air. Shots fired, the ghost boy knew this fight was going to be shoot first, capture later with no quips from their end.

And his analysis was proven correct as Thrash jettisoned head first into the fight, smashing his thick skull against the two ghosts, now pinned together. This was followed up with several blasts from Vid, all aimed at heads besides the bulky meathead charging.

Danny intercepted the blasts, focusing his ghostly rays from his eyes. Reeling back to clasped fists, he knocked Thrash off. His frustration reached his limits, evident as he back fisted The Phantom when he heard another snarl.

That was going to be brought up later. Right now, all that was left was Download, holding a spectral-glowing disc. Whatever it was or supposed to be was forgotten as the boy was forced to move against a barrage of the ghost boy's beams. However, it seemed The Phantom was still in this fight as he lurched from behind, swiping his hands in a claw fashion at the last attacker.

"Talk about bring caught between a rock and a hard place," Danny quipped in exhaustion as he blocked the fists of Thrash raining down on him with an ecto-shield. A surge of ectoplasm and he managed to use the barrier like a battery ram, knocking back the big guy.

Flying into the fight between Vid, Download and The Phantom, the ghost boy did not notice the fight unfolding high above near the clouds.

"Is this all you can do?" Vlad mocked with a faux yawn. "The young badger had put up a better fight than you our first encounter. What do you hope to accomplish here?"

Phantasma scolded at that, glowing brighter. Rage blunted her mind, diluting any attempt to formulate a plan, but she never had one in the beginning. All she wanted was to smack that smirk off the vampiric ghost so hard it would fly off.

"You're gonna pay for everything, you creep! And you're gonna tell me what you did to my father!" Phanty shrieked as she tried to attack him. Try being the keyword.

Calling this a fight was charity. In reality, this was a spectacle for Vlad's amusement. Whatever the banshee had up her sleeve was useless as the latter swatted her attempts with minimal effort or vanish in his cape to tap her shoulder from behind.

Phantasma felt her ectoplasmic blood boil over, now evaporating as her hands came together, channeling a bright orb. Throwing it down, she stared at Plasmius, who taunted her with beckoning hands.

A large blast was flung as it missed its intended target. However, it was in perfect trajectory to hit the trio of Master's Blasters, sending them crashing down as Danny kept himself between the group and the The Phantom. The direct hit brought the ghost boy's attention up, now seeing the battle.

"Phanty!" Danny didn't want to believe what he was seeing. Part of him knew Vlad would be nearby, the confirmation of the man's appearance not worsened his mood. Even more so when he saw his girlfriend fighting in vain.

Vlad already had more experience over Danny, who was barely covering with his own unique set. But the latter was in the same situation with Phantasma.

A stray shot barely missed his face as the Master's Blasters were now back. They saw the banshee and growled, flying up to teach her a lesson, if not for The Phantom intervening. His turquoise aura dimmed for a moment as he kept the latter at bay, but that only worsen the situation as Danny put up a shield.

"There's no way Phanty can handle Vlad." Danny pushed back, energizing the shields to distance The Phantom from the Master's Blasters. Yet cracks still appeared as both side seemed determined to shatter the shield.

The ghost boy's glowing green eyes locked with Vlad's red. He could see his arch nemesis mouth move, wording out:

What'll it be, Daniel? The lady or the tiger?

Danny glared at him but he did not have the time for anger. Right now, it was either save Phantasma or her father. On other days, the choice would be easy, but a decision had to be made now.

The war was still on, but this fight was over. Channeling his powers, Danny turned his shield into a makeshift flash bang, blinding and pushing back the Master's Blasters and The Phantom as he flew to the banshee.

All the while, Sam, Tucker, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby were watching from afar, the last two eerily quiet.

The ghost boy fired a blast at Vlad, who caught it one-handed. There was no force behind it, onyl warning the latter he had arrived.

Phantasma panted furiously as she felt Danny' arms wrap around her. his eyes glowed softly as he shook his head. She wanted to say something, argue back that she could fight, but her rage settled, letting reason come back.

"Awe, young love. Well, this was fun, but I believe this is a stalemate. Till next time," Vlad said, lifting his cape. He brought the fabric down as he sank into a vanishing vortex, disappearing from sight.

Danny and Phantasma huffed, dropped shoulders and spirits as they saw their loss flash in front of them as they glanced below them. The Phantom had been defeated, captured, this time it seemed for real, by the Master's Blasters, who were basking in the praise of Amity Park's citizens as they ran over.

Phanty extended an arm to the ghost fighters, only stopped by Danny, who shook his head again. All she could do was cry into his chest as the two pulled their own vanishing act.

Sorry this was more than a year late. Hopefully as my Pa tre on grows, things will get easier and I can give more attention. If you want to help, the link is in my profile. Anyway, this now officially starts the Summer Arc of this fic. All notes about this arc will be made in locked posts on the Pa tre on, discussing the course of action.

I hope you all enjoyed this as more come. And for those who like Danny and spectra, I'll get to that too.

Special Thanks! to Flower Princess11 for all her help! And Happy Easter to all!

Reviews:

RonaldM40196867: Yes! Following Phantasma: Sibella would be a close second. No spoilers on Revolta. Batman is thought to be more than a man in Gotham, which makes its way to the monster world. Hard to say. Yes.
