They should give Hogan an Oscar, he should be in Hollywood after the war, alongside Rita Hayworth and Lauren Bacall! None of these idiots realised he wasn't asleep (he was for two hours, but that doesn't matter here).

So Hochstetter is looking after him? Good, he can live with that when it comes to winning the war and being normal again.

Leonard Gruber will be the reason Germany falls.

"Damn it, Hochstetter broke it!" a young voice below shouted to his buddy and current leader of their ragtag squad. The young soldier climbed up the ladder and tapped the black leader, who was visibly stressed for some reason, from behind.

With a confused look on his face, he was pulled into the "cellar" of the barracks. It was actually a secret operating theatre, hidden from the Germans and Schulz.

The boy frowned at the radio, unable to get a word out. Kinchloe just sighed in annoyance: "What's wrong, Carter?" he asked the youngest member of his squad, who finally spoke.

"He's got..."

"Carter."

"Hogan, alone-"

"Carter!"

Immediately Carter fell silent when he heard the man's loud voice, he had never been loud before, not even to the Germans...

"Tell me everything calmly, Carter, and in clear sentences," the black man reassured the Indian, who also sat down on the chair. "Hochstetter broke the cable, or someone else did."

Kinchloe looked at him blankly, did Carter screw up?

"First the Colonel thing, almost the whole Gestapo, Gruber, Hochstetter and General Burkhalter, probably even bloody BIEDENBENDER know about the microphone now!" the man shouted in frustration, it was a muffled cry, like someone screaming into a pillow.

Carter stared at the floor, he had never wished so much that the war had never started.
