When they got to Dani's house, the three saw the two kids in the backyard as they went there.
"Barney!" Dani cried as she sees Barney and gasps happily. "There you are!"
"We've been looking all over for you, Barney!" cried Aaron.
The two kids ran over to Barney and gave him a big hug.
"Hi Dani!" said Barney. "Hi Aaron!"
"Hi Barney!" said Dani and Aaron.
"Where did you go?" asked Aaron.
"We were playing with you and then all of a sudden…Poof!" said Dani. "You were gone!"
The Winkster and Winkette were sweating as they giggled nervously.
"Well," said Barney, looking at the twins. "These two wanted to play with me."
"Who are you?" Dani asked the twins.
"I'm the Winkster," said the Winkster.
"And I'm Winkette," said Winkette.
"Very interesting names you got there," said Dani.
"Why are you called that?" asked Aaron.
"Weeeeeell…" the Winkster and Winkette said as they looked at each other and smiled.
The Winkster and Winkette told the two kids about themselves through their own song. And both Dani and Aaron were very impressed!
"Wow!" said Dani. "Cool!"
"Yeah!" Aaron agreed.
"Thanks!" the Winkster and Winkette said.
"Now that you know who we are," the Winkster said to the kids, "Winkette and I would like to know who you two are."
"Of course!" said Dani. "I'm Danielle. But everyone calls me Dani."
"And I'm Aaron," said Aaron.
"Nice to meet you!" the Winkster and Winkette said.
Then the twins paused.
"So yes, we took Barney from you two earlier," said Winkette. "We just wanted to play with him..."
The twins frown as they both said in unison, "We're sorry…"
"Are you mad at us…?" Winkette asked the kids.
"Yes, we did a bad thing," said the Winkster. "But Winkette and I didn't mean to cause any trouble. That's if we did…If you're not happy with us, then I guess we can accept that..."
Dani and Aaron looked at each other as the Winkster and Winkette anxiously wait for an answer.
"Well…" said Dani. "We forgive you."
"Really…?" the Winkster said in surprise.
"Yeah," said Aaron.
"Oh wow…" said the Winkster.
"I do wish the Winkster and I can still play with Barney, though…" said Winkette.
"How about we all play together?" Aaron suggested.
"Great idea, Aaron!" Dani said, then saying to the twins, "Winkster? Winkette? Would you two like to play with us? You seem like really fun people based on that song you just sang to Aaron and I."
"You really want us to play with you kids?" the Winkster said, surprised that the kids want him and his sister to play with them.
"Honest?" Winkette said, who was just as surprised at this.
"Of course!" said Dani. "I think it'll be fun!"
"I think so, too!" said Aaron.
"Okay sure!" said the Winkster, getting interested. "Winkette and I would love to play with you kids!"
"But what can we do in this backyard?" Winkette wondered, looking around the place. "There isn't much here."
"Remember Winkette?" Barney said to her. "You can do anything, as long as you use your imagination."
"That's right, Barney," said Dani.
So Barney, the Winkster, Winkette, Dani, and Aaron began to play together in Dani's backyard. And while they were playing, they sang a song about using their imaginations as they did the action. During the middle of this, Winkette comes in with a wheelbarrow and placed the Winkster inside of it as she runs and drags her brother around in it.
"Winkette, what are you doing?" the Winkster asked his sister. "Winkette!"
Winkette continues running while dragging the Winkster in the wheelbarrow. Then she tips it forward as her brother landed into a pile of leaves on the ground.
"Oof!" the Winkster cried, then getting up and brushes himself off.
"That was funny!" Aaron laughed.
"Yeah!" Dani laughed as well.
"Na na na boo boo!" cried Winkette, as she makes a silly face at the Winkster.
The Winkster sees what his sister was doing and starts chasing her. But he knew this time, this was for all fun and games unlike earlier in the day.
"You can't catch me, Winkster!" Winkette cried as she was running from her brother. "Hehehe!"
"You think you can get away?!" the Winkster cried, chasing his sister. "Winkette, come back here!"
"Wow, they ARE quick!" said Dani, amazed on how fast the twins ran.
"I'll say!" said Aaron, amazed as well.
"Run Winkette run!" Dani cried.
"Catch her, Winkster!" Aaron cried.
Winkette saw a slide next to the backyard's swing set and runs towards it. But when she takes her first couple steps onto the ladder, the Winkster quickly appeared behind her and grabbed her as he lifted his sister off the steps.
"Gotcha sis!" the Winkster said.
"Winkster!" Winkette giggled. "Hehehe!"
After a while of playing in the backyard, everyone had a great time.
"That was fun!" said Dani.
"A ton of fun!" said Aaron.
"Hehe!" said Winkette. "It really was!"
She then turns to her side as she says, "Did you have fun, Winkster?"
Winkette saw that her brother wasn't next to her.
"Winkster?" said Winkette, looking around for him. "Where did you go?"
She then felt her shoulder being tapped.
"Huh…?" the woman wondered.
She turns around and sees her brother behind her.
"Hi Winkette!" said the Winkster, spraying his sister with silly string from a can.
"Aaahh!" cried Winkette, covering herself.
"Got you again, Winkette!" the Winkster laughed. "Ha ha! Haaaaaaaa!"
"Winkster! You sneak!" said Winkette, as she scrapes the silly string off her eyes.
"Hmmm…" Dani said as she began to think. "Winkster and Winkette…Both your names sound very similar. Are you two related?"
"Yes Dani," said Winkette.
"Winkette and I are brother and sister," said the Winkster. "And not only that…"
"We're twins!" the Winkster and Winkette both said in unison.
"You're twins?!" Dani and Aaron said in great interest.
"We sure are!" said Winkette.
"What kind of twins?" Dani asked.
"Identical?" Aaron guessed.
"Nope," said the Winkster. "Winkette and I are fraternal twins, not identical."
"Fraternal twins?" said Dani, not knowing the definition of that.
"What makes it different than identical?" asked Aaron, wanting to know the meaning of the term.
"Well kids," said the Winkster. "Fraternal twins, like identical, are a pair of twins that were born on the same exact day of the year. But unlike identical twins, a pair of fraternal twins don't always necessarily look the same."
"Really?" said Aaron.
"But you and Winkette look so much alike," Dani said.
"Why yes we do, Dani," said the Winkster. "My sister and I have the same facial features and share the same physical stature. And we both dress very similar. But this one little fact will help you know that me and Winkette are fraternal twins and not identical twins. And that one little fact is…I'm a boy and she's a girl."
"Oh I see," said Dani, starting to understand. "That helps a lot!"
"Who was born first?" Aaron asked.
"I was," said the Winkster. "Winkette was born just a few minutes later. So I'm the older twin."
"And I'm the younger twin," said Winkette.
"That's really cool!" said Aaron.
Just then, Winkette started to hold herself.
"Winkette?" the Winkster said to his sister. "Do you have to use the bathroom?"
"Yes…!" said Winkette, squirming a bit.
She turned to Dani and said to the child, "Dani? Can you show me where the bathroom is in your house? I just met you today."
"No problem, Winkette," said Dani. "I'd be happy to help. Follow me."
Winkette follows Dani into the child's house as she shows the woman where the bathroom was. And once Winkette entered the bathroom and closed the door, Dani went back outside to the rest of the group as they waited for her. But a few minutes later, Winkette still hasn't come back from the bathroom yet.
"Wonder what's taking my sister so long," said the Winkster.
"I'm sure she'll be back, Winkster," said Aaron.
Just then, the group heard giggling coming from inside the house.
"Who's giggling like that?" Aaron wondered.
"I don't know," said Dani. "But it doesn't sound like my mom."
"Oh! I know who it is…" said the Winkster, recognizing the giggling. "It's Winkette!"
"How are you sure, Winkster?" Aaron asked.
"Oh I know my sister when I hear her," said the Winkster. "Something you should know about her, kids…She kind of has the laugh of a little girl."
"It sure doesn't sound completely like a grown-up, that's for sure," Dani said, listening to Winkette giggling.
"You're right about that, Dani," said Aaron, listening to Winkette giggling as well.
"I'll go see what she's up to," said Dani.
"Hey Dani, can I come with you?" the Winkster asked.
"Sure Winkster," said Dani. "Come on."
The Winkster follows Dani into her house as they look for Winkette. And while looking, Dani found Winkette. The Winkster didn't know this yet as he was currently looking in the kitchen. Dani sees that Winkette was in the living room jumping on the couch while having a good time and laughing with joy.
"Hi Winkette!" said Dani, waving to the woman.
"Hi Dani!" said Winkette, waving to the child in return.
"Hey, that looks like fun!" said Dani, watching Winkette jump on the couch.
"It is fun!" said Winkette. "It really is! Hehehe! Want to join me, Dani?"
"Sure!" said Dani, then pausing and saying, "Let me get your brother in here first."
The little girl turns around and calls out to the Winkster, "Hey Winkster! I found your sister!"
"Coming!" the Winkster said from the kitchen.
The Winkster comes into the living room where he sees Winkette jumping on the couch while giggling with joy.
"Hi Winkster!" said Winkette, waving to her brother.
"Winkette, get off the furniture!" the Winkster demanded.
"Oh come on, Winkster!" said Winkette. "Let me have a little fun, will you?!"
She then said to Dani, "You still coming, Dani?"
"Heck yeah!" said Dani, running over to the couch.
"Dani, wait a second!" the Winkster shouted, trying to stop the child.
Dani climbed onto the couch and started jumping on it with Winkette as the child starts laughing with her. When just then, Aaron comes into the house.
"Hey Winkster," Aaron said to the Winkster. "You and Dani find Winkette?"
The Winkster points forward as Aaron sees Dani and Winkette jumping on the couch.
"Oh!" said Aaron, getting excited as he runs over to the couch as well. "I came here at the right time!"
"No, not you, too!" the Winkster said, as he tried to stop the little kid. "Aaron!"
"Yahoo!" said Aaron, climbing onto the couch.
Aaron too starts jumping on the couch with Winkette and Dani as the three laughed.
"Well, I can't stop them now," the Winkster said to himself. "I give up…"
"Come on, Winkster!" said Aaron. "There's one more spot for you! Between me and your sister!
"What are you waiting for, Winkster?!" said Dani. "Join the fun!"
"He'll never do it!" said Winkette. "He's playing the boring person right now!"
She then said to her brother, "Not so nimble, huh Winkster?!"
"Oh clam it, missy!" said Winkster.
But a few seconds later as he watched his sister and the two kids having fun while jumping on the couch, the Winkster's inner child kicks in. And he couldn't escape from it!
"Hey, wait for me!" the Winkster cried, as he smiled.
The Winkster ran over to the couch and climbed onto it as he, Winkette, Dani, and Aaron were now jumping on the couch together as they laughed and giggled with each other.
"I knew you would change your mind, Winkster!" said Winkette, jumping while she and her brother held hands. "Weeeeeehehehehe!"
"This is amazing!" said Dani.
"It's like being in a circus!" said Aaron.
"It really is!" said Winkster. "This is really fun!"
"See, I told you!" said Winkette.
The twins and the two children were having a good and fun time jumping on the couch together. But just a minute later, the front door's doorknob started to turn. Dani's mother, Rhonda, had just returned home from grocery shopping.
"Uh oh!" gasped Dani. "My mom's home!"
"Darn it!" said Aaron, with a groan. "And the fun was just getting started!"
The Winkster and Winkette were worried as they didn't want Dani's parents to see them. They just met the girl, so they didn't want the adults to see them as strangers with bad intentions. So the twins decided to hide.
"Nobody saw me!" cried the Winkster, as he jumps off the couch and lands on the floor behind it.
"Catch me!" cried Winkette, doing the same right after her brother.
But before Dani and Aaron could get off the couch, Rhonda came into the house as she spotted her daughter and the child's friend standing on the couch, believing they were jumping on it.
"Dani! Aaron!" Rhonda shouted. "You two get off that couch right now!"
"Sorry Mom…" said Dani, as she and Aaron get off the couch and walk over to the girl's mother.
"Are you two bored or something?" Rhonda wondered.
"Well, Aaron and I have been outside a lot today," said Dani. "We thought jumping on the couch would be fun."
"Dani, you could get hurt from doing that," said Rhonda. "I only want you and Aaron to be safe."
"We're sorry…" said Aaron.
"It's alright," said Rhonda. "I forgive you both."
The woman sees that something bumped the couch.
"Is there something or someone behind the couch?" she asked the two kids.
The two kids were nervous that Dani's mother will find the Winkster and Winkette.
"Uhhh…" Dani and Aaron said nervously.
Rhonda went to go check. But there was nothing behind the couch.
"Huh…Odd," she said, a little confused. "There's nothing here."
Dani and Aaron were surprised that the Winkster and Winkette were now gone. Especially because the twins were just there behind the couch, and then they weren't.
"Where did the Winkster and Winkette go…?" Aaron whispered to Dani.
"I don't know…" Dani whispered back.
Dani then looked up. Her eyes widened as she tapped Aaron's shoulder. Aaron looks with Dani as they see the Winkster and Winkette on the ceiling using suctions on their feet and hands to keep the twins from falling off. The twins looked down at the two kids as they smiled and waved to them from above. But before Dani and Aaron could speak to the two adults, the Winkster put his finger on his lips and said, "Shhh!" while Winkette pointed to Rhonda.
"Who are you kids talking to?" Rhonda asked Dani and Aaron.
"To each other like always." sad Dani and Aaron, trying to cover up the twins' presence.
"Oh," said Rhonda.
She sees the kids were looking up and asked them, "What are you two looking at?"
Dani and Aaron got nervous as they looked at the girl's mother. And when the woman looked up, she didn't see anything on the ceiling. The Winkster and Winkette were gone yet again. And both kids were very dumbfounded on how extremely quick the twins were at not just running, but also on how extremely quick the twins were at switching locations. Especially because Dani and Aaron didn't see or hear them take off.
"Why are you two looking at the ceiling?" Rhonda asked. "There's nothing there."
She just sighed and said, "Oh, never mind. It's not important. Anyway, I got a lot of groceries to put away. You two can continue playing. But please, don't do anything that will get you hurt."
"Yes Mom," said Dani.
As Rhonda went into the kitchen to put the groceries away, Dani and Aaron started to wonder where the Winkster and Winkette were since they were still hiding.
"I wonder where the Winkster and Winkette are…" said Dani.
"Me too..." said Aaron. "I'm just so amazed on how quick those two are!"
"So am I!" Dani said. "I didn't see them or hear them change places that quickly! One minute they're here, and the next, they're gone!"
"I know, right?!" Aaron said. "How did they do that?!"
He then paused and said, "Anyway, too bad your mom caught us jumping on the couch."
"Yeah, sorry about that," said Dani. "Well, we can always sit on it."
"True," said Aaron.
Dani goes to sit on the couch. And the minute she sat down on one of the cushions, she felt herself getting lifted upwards while still sitting on the cushion.
"Huh?" said Dani, feeling herself going up. "Whoa, what's happening?!"
Aaron just laughed.
"Who's under me?" Dani wondered.
Dani looks down to see who was inside the couch, between it and the cushion. It was the Winkster!
"Hey kids!" said the Winkster, seeing Dani and Aaron. "It's me, the Winkster!"
"Oh!" said Dani, with a giggle as she sees him. "There you are, Winkster!"
"How did you manage to wedge yourself into the couch, Winkster?" Aaron asked. "Literally!"
"I'm pretty flexible," said the Winkster. "You'd be surprised what I can fit myself into."
"Can you fit into a peanut butter jar?" Dani asked.
"No silly," said the Winkster, with a little chuckle. "A peanut butter jar is WAY too small for me to get inside of…"
"Oh…" said Dani, a little disappointed. "But that would be so cool to see you go inside a little jar!"
"Yeah it would," said the Winkster, agreeing with the girl.
"Hey Winkster," Aaron said. "Is your sister flexible?"
"Yep!" said the Winkster. "We're on the same level."
He then pauses and said, 'Speaking of my sister…"
The Winkster looks around as he calls out to his twin, "Winkette?! Winkette!"
"Here I am!" Winkette replied, as she pops her head out from one of the drawers in a dresser. "Hehehe!"
"Winkette, what are you doing in there?" the Winkster asked, as he sees his sister.
"Hiding from Dani's mother," Winkette answered. "What are you doing inside the couch?"
"Hiding from Dani's mother," the Winkster answered back.
The twins see that they both said the same exact answer word for word as they cried, "Oh!" and giggled with each other.
"You can come out now, Winkette," Dani said to Winkette. "My mom isn't around."
"The coast is clear," Aaron added.
"Okay," said Winkette. "Thanks kids."
But when Winkette tries to get out of the drawer, she realizes that she was stuck.
"Uhhh…" said Winkette, with a nervous sweat. "Uh oh, I'm stuck! Winkster?!"
"Don't worry, sis!" the Winkster cried. "I'll get you out!"
The Winkster comes out of the couch and quickly runs over to Winkette as he grabs her and tries to pull her out of the drawer.
"Come on, Winkette!" said the Winkster, pulling his sister. "You need to budge!"
Ten seconds later, the Winkster manages to free Winkette from the drawer.
"Oh!" said the Winkster, putting his sister back on her feet. "There you go, sis."
"Thanks Winkster," said Winkette, with a smile as she hugs her brother.
"No problem, Winkette," said the Winkster, with a smile back as he hugs his sister in return.
He then said to Dani and Aaron, "You kids wanna keep playing with me and my sister?"
"Yeah!" said the two kids, with their hands in the air.
"Great!" said the Winkster. "Now let's head back outside so we can return to Barney and have him join in the fun with us again."
"Okay!" said Winkette. "Let's go!"
