When morning came, the Winkster was the first to wake up.

"Morning already…?" he said, stretching and yawning. "Well, time to start the day."

The Winkster sees that Winkette was still sleeping as he said, "After I wake up my sister, of course."

He gets out of his bed and walks over to Winkette's bed where he sees his twin sister continuing to sleep while holding onto her soft baby pink blanket that she sleeps with every night.

"Winkette…?" said the Winkster.

Winkette was slowly waking up as she yawned.

"Wakie wakie, sleepyhead," the Winkster said.

"Huh…?" Winkette said, rubbing her eyes then seeing her brother standing next to her. "Oh…Morning Winkster…"

"Morning Winkette," said the Winkster. "It's time to start the day."

"Okay…" said Winkette, stretching. "How did you sleep?"

"I slept well," said the Winkster.

"Even after waking up in the middle of the night?" Winkette said.

"Yep," the Winkster said. "I was able to rest easy knowing that nobody broke into our house. Did you sleep well, sis?"

"I could've slept better," said Winkette. "Last night really scared me..."

"Yeah…I'm sorry that happened…" said the Winkster. "But are you feeling okay right now?"

"Yeah, I'm fine now," said Winkette. "I'm good…"

"Good…" said the Winkster.

Just then, Winkette's stomach growls.

"Sounds like someone's hungry," said the Winkster, then hearing his own stomach growl as well. "Oh, me too!"

The two giggle.

"Why don't we go have breakfast?" suggested the Winkster.

"Sure thing," said Winkette.

The twins went into the kitchen, helped each other make breakfast, and sat at the table as they began to eat their morning meal together.

"So what do we have planned today, Winkster?" Winkette asked her brother.

"We're going to tell Barney and the kids about that big egg you found last night and show it to them, remember?" the Winkster said.

"Oh yes, that's right," said Winkette. "I'll check on the egg after we have our breakfast."

She then accidentally drops her fork on the floor as she said, "Oops, I'll get that."

Winkette bends down to reach her fork. And while she wasn't looking, the Winkster took out a can of shaving cream and squirted some on Winkette's food. Since the two were having pancakes as well as some strawberries, he thought it would make a great prank. Then he quickly hid the can just before Winkette lifts herself back up.

"Got it," said Winkette, as she grabbed the fork and wiped it clean with a napkin.

She then sees her plate of pancakes as well as a can of whipped cream next to it.

"I must've put some whipped cream on my pancakes," the woman said. "Well, at least my food will taste yummier now."

Winkette takes a fork full of pancakes and puts it in her mouth. But she then noticed how odd and gross the whipped cream was and she quickly spit it out, not knowing she just tasted shaving cream.

"What the-?" she said, all grossed out. "This whipped cream tastes awful! Has it gone bad?"

Winkette checks the expiration date on the whipped cream can and sees that it was still okay to eat.

"Wait, it's not expired yet," said Winkette, all confused. "What's going on?"

The Winkster starts laughing.

"Winkster...?" Winkette said to her brother, giving him a dirty look. "Do you know something about this…?

"I sure do…!" said the Winkster, pulling out the can of shaving cream and showing it to his sister.

"Shaving cream?!" Winkette said, getting upset. "WINKSTER!"

"Haaaa haaaaaa!" the Winkster laughed.

"GRRR!" Winkette growled.

"Heh heh…Heh," said the Winkster. "Oh come on, sis. Just have a laugh!"

"Fine, I will," said Winkette.

Winkette grabs the can of shaving cream and started squirting some of it into her brother's pajama pants.

"Aaahh!" the Winkster cried.

Winkette started laughing.

"Okay..." said the Winkster. "I deserved that..."

Winkette just winks at him.

After breakfast, the twins went into their bedroom to get dressed. But during this, the Winkster was almost fully dressed when he noticed he was missing his typical colorful polka-dotted tailcoat blazer. And since it was near him a moment ago and now it wasn't, he wondered where it was.

"Alright, where's my tailcoat?" he wondered.

He looked over and saw that Winkette was wearing it over her typical colorful dress.

"Winkette!" the Winkster said to his sister.

"Yes Winkster?" Winkette said, looking at her brother.

"Why are you wearing my tailcoat?" the Winkster asked. "You know it's mine, not yours."

"Because I really like it," said Winkette, smiling. "It's very colorful and fun! Plus, I think it matches my dress quite nicely. Hehehe!"

"Winkette…" said the Winkster, putting his hand out towards his tailcoat blazer. "Please give me back my colorful tailcoat…"

"But I want to wear it…" said Winkette.

"Give it to me…" said the Winkster. "Now Winkette…"

"Alright fine…" Winkette sighed, as she takes off her brother's tailcoat blazer and gives it back to him.

"Thank you," the Winkster said, accepting his piece of clothing.

"One of these days," Winkette said, "we should switch and wear each other's clothes."

"Maybe," said the Winkster, putting his tailcoat blazer over the outfit he was currently wearing. "That'll be for another day. Now why don't you go check on the egg so we can get going?"

"After I do my hair first, please?" said Winkette, holding her hairbrush and comb.

The Winkster saw that his sister's hair was messy and hasn't been fixed yet.

"Oh wow!" he said. "Your hair is messy, sis!"

"Yes, I need to style it," Winkette said. "Can I do that?"

"Sure," said the Winkster. "But don't take too long. We have things to do today."

"Okay," said Winkette.

Winkette sits in front of her vanity and starts doing her hair. And after her hair was fixed and styled, she grabbed her little colorful crossbody purse and placed the strap over her shoulder.

"Okay Winkster," she said to her twin brother. "I'm ready to go."

The Winkster notices his sister didn't have the basket containing the big egg she found in the shed last night.

"Winkette…?" he said to Winkette. "Where's the egg...?"

"What?" Winkette said.

She looks to her side as she sees the basket next to her nightstand.

"Oh, there it is," Winkette said, as she picks up the basket and shows her brother the egg. "Got it."

"Good," said the Winkster. "We need to show and tell Barney and the kids about it once we're with them."

"Right," said Winkette. "Let's go."

The twins left their house as they head over to Dani's house. And once they got there, the Winkster and Winkette saw Dani and Aaron in the girl's backyard with the Barney doll.

"There they are," the Winkster said.

"Yep," said Winkette. "There's Dani and Aaron."

"And Barney," said the Winkster.

"In his doll form..." Winkette said.

"Oh dear…" said the Winkster. "We need to tell Barney about the egg you found. But we can't if he's in his doll form…"

"Maybe he'll come to life when we least expected," said Winkette. "And since the kids are here right now, why don't we tell them about the egg first?"

"Good idea," said the Winkster. "Let's go tell them."

The twins enter the backyard as Dani and Aaron saw them.

"Winkster! Winkette!" Dani said, waving to the twins.

"Hey guys!" Aaron said, waving to the twins as well.

"Hi Dani! Hi Aaron!" the Winkster and Winkette said, waving back to the two kids.

"What brings you two here today?" Dani asked.

"Yeah, what's up?" Aaron asked.

"My sister and I want to show you something," the Winkster said.

"Oh yeah?" said Dani.

"What is it?" asked Aaron.

"Look! At! This!" said Winkette, as she takes the big egg out of the basket and shows it to Dani and Aaron.

"Oh my goodness!" said Dani. "It's an egg!"

"A giant egg!" said Aaron.

"Wooooooooow..." the two kids said in amazement.

"Neat huh?" the Winkster said.

"Yeah!" said Dani, nodding her head. "Very neat!"

"Where did you guys find this egg?" Aaron asked the twins.

"In our shed last night," said Winkette.

"What were you doing in your shed at night?" Dani asked. "Isn't that when you two are sleeping?"

"Yes," said Winkette. "But..."

"But what?" Dani wondered.

"Well, you see, kids…" the Winkster said. "My sister and I heard glass shattering. We thought someone broke into our house. So we got out of bed and checked every room in the house. And nothing was stolen or damaged, and the windows weren't broken. So Winkette and I went outside into the shed and saw that one of the windows was shattered into pieces. And that is when we saw this giant egg we're showing you right before your very eyes…"

"Oh my…" said Dani.

"Hmmm…" said Aaron. "Do you think the egg broke your window?"

"Possibly," said the Winkster. "But I do wonder where it came from…"

"Do you kids know anything about an egg this big?" Winkette asked the two kids.

"I'm not really sure," said Dani, examining the egg. "What animal lays a giant egg like this?"

She sees the pink ring on the bottom of the egg and said, "Oh look! The bottom is pink!"

"That's very unusual," said Aaron, noticing the pink ring as well. "The rest of the egg is gray!"

"This is why we are trying to find Barney," said Winkette. "He needs to know about this!"

"He's right here," said Dani, shows the twins her Barney doll.

"But we need him to be alive," said the Winkster.

"Wait, Barney's dead?!" Winkette gasped in horror.

"No, that's not what I meant!" said the Winkster, seeing that his wording freaked out his sister. "What I meant to say was, Barney needs to come in life in his real dinosaur form instead of a doll."

"Oh…" Winkette said, as she looks at her brother. "Please don't scare me like that, Winkster…"

"Sorry…" said the Winkster. "So how do we bring him to life?"

"I don't know," said Winkette. "But I want him to see this egg and maybe know a thing or two about it. Cause I don't know wha-"

Winkette notices that the Barney doll was starting to sparkle.

"OH!" she cried, as she steps back a bit while holding the egg.

"He's coming to life!" cried the Winkster. "Everyone stand back!"

The Winkster, Winkette, Dani, and Aaron quickly stood back as Barney came to life.

"Whoa!" Barney cried.

"Barney!" Dani and Aaron cried, hugging the big purple dinosaur.

"Hi kids!" said Barney. "What's going on?"

"The Winkster and Winkette are here!" said Dani.

"And they have something to show you!" said Aaron.

"Oh?" said Barney. "And what is it?"

"Check this out, Barney!" Winkette said, showing Barney the egg.

"Oh my!" said Barney, amazed at what he was seeing. "It's an egg!"

"Yeah!" said Winkette. "A very big one!"

"We found it in our backyard shed last night, Barney," said the Winkster. "Or rather, my sister spotted it first."

"Barney?" Winkette said to Barney. "Have you seen an egg like this?"

"Well," said Barney, as he examined the egg. "To tell you the truth, I uhhh..."

"Do you know a thing or two about this sort of thing, Barney?" asked the Winkster.

"I'm actually not sure," said Barney. "Though this egg does look very interesting."

"Oh boy..." said Winkette, feeling disappointed. "So nobody knows any info about this egg, huh...?"

"What do we do then…?" the Winkster asked.

"Hey Dani?" Aaron said to Dani.

"Yes Aaron?" said Dani, turning to Aaron.

"Why don't we go ask your mom and see if she knows anything about this big egg?" Aaron suggested.

"That's not a bad idea, Aaron," said Dani. "Let's go do that."

She then turned to Barney and the twins as she said to them, "Will you guys wait out here while me and Aaron go speak to my mom?"

"Sure," said the Winkster.

"We'll be right here," said Winkette.

Inside the girl's house, Rhonda was in the living room cleaning when Dani and Aaron came inside.

"Mom?" Dani said to her mother.

"Oh hi, Dani. Aaron," Rhonda said, seeing the two kids. "What brings you two here? Aren't you playing outside?"

"Yes," said Dani. "But Aaron and I wanted to ask you about something."

"Oh?" said Rhonda. "And what is that?"

"An egg," said Dani.

"An egg?" said Rhonda.

"Yep!" said Aaron.

"Well, can I see it?" asked Rhonda. "I want to see what this egg looks like."

The two children realize they don't have the egg with them as they left it with Barney and the twins outside. But Dani and Aaron still didn't want to tell the girl's mother about the Winkster and Winkette as they have just met them yesterday afternoon.

"Uhhhhh..." Dani and Aaron said nervously.

"What's wrong?" Rhonda asked the kids.

"Well, we don't have the egg..." said Dani.

"Where is it?" asked Rhonda.

"I think Barney has it," Dani said, trying to hide the Winkster and Winkette's presence.

"Barney?" said Rhonda. "Your purple dinosaur stuffed animal?"

"Yes Mom," said Dani.

"You sure it's not just a regular white or brown egg you find at the supermarket?" Rhonda wondered.

"We're sure," said Dani.

"Oh I see," said Rhonda. "Well, in that case...I think I know someone who could help you figure out what kind of egg you're talking about is. Why don't you go ask Miss Mildred Goldfinch?"

"The bird lady?" said Dani.

"What bird lady?" said Aaron.

"Miss Goldfinch knows a lot about birds and eggs," said Dani. "My mom and I met her last year. She's terrific!"

"She's a bird watcher, Aaron," Rhonda said to Aaron. "And I think she's the right person to ask about birds and eggs. Why don't you two head over there?"

"Sure!" said Dani, as she heads back outside. "Come on, Aaron!"

"Right behind you!" said Aaron.

"Be back by dark!" Rhonda reminded the two kids.

Back outside in the backyard, Barney, the Winkster, and Winkette were waiting for Dani and Aaron to come back as they saw the two kids return.

"Welcome back, kids!" said Winkette.

"So what did your mother say, Dani?" the Winkster asked Dani. "Does she know anything about the egg?"

"Unfortunately no…" said Dani.

"So what'll we do?" asked the Winkster.

Before Dani can tell everyone what'll happen next, they all noticed that Winkette wasn't with them.

"Where's Winkette?" Dani wondered.

"I don't know," said the Winkster. "But I'm going to find out."

He gives the basket containing the egg to Dani and said to her, "Make sure this egg doesn't go anywhere. We need to figure out what's the deal with it."

The Winkster goes to look for his sister as he called out to her, "Winkette?! Winkette!"

Inside the house again, Winkette was in the kitchen since she was hungry. Then the Winkster entered the house and heard something in the kitchen. He went there and saw his twin sister eating some food from the refrigerator.

"Winkette?" the Winkster said to her.

Winkette turns around and sees her brother while with food in her mouth.

"So there you are," said the Winkster. "What are you doing?"

"Eating some food," said Winkette, chewing the food.

"Why?" asked the Winkster. "We just had breakfast."

"I got hungry again…" Winkette said, as she swallowed the food.

"Oh…" said the Winkster.

He then spots Rhonda, who was still cleaning the living room. But in just minute, the woman left the room and headed for the kitchen. This made the Winkster nervous as he didn't want him or his sister to be spotted by Dani's mother.

"Uh oh!" the Winkster gasped.

"Huh?!" said Winkette. "Winkster, what's wrong?!

"Dani's mom is coming!" cried the Winkster. "Quick hide!"

"Oh no!" cried Winkette.

The twins quickly hid somewhere in the kitchen right before Rhonda enters the room. The Winkster was hiding in one of the cabinets, while Winkette was hiding in the oven that currently wasn't turned on.

"Hmmm…" said Rhonda. "I think I left my cleaning supplies in the living room. I can't clean the kitchen without them."

The minute Rhonda leaves the kitchen, the twins get out of their hiding spots.

"Whew!" said the Winkster, grabbing Winkette's hand. "Let's get back outside before she comes back."

"Okay," said Winkette.

The Winkster and Winkette went back outside to Barney and the kids.

"There you are, Winkette!" said Dani.

"Where was she, Winkster?" Aaron asked the Winkster.

"In the kitchen," said the Winkster.

"I was hungry…" said Winkette.

"Oh," said Dani. "You feel better after having a little snack?"

"Yes," said Winkette.

"That's good," said Dani. "Anyway, my mom suggested that we all go see Miss Goldfinch about the egg."

"Who?" the Winkster and Winkette asked.

"Miss Mildred Goldfinch," said Dani. "She's our neighbor. And not only that, Miss Goldfinch is a bird watcher. So she knows a lot about birds and eggs. So I think she can help us identify this strange egg."

"I never met her myself," said Aaron. "So I guess today is the day."

"Is she nice?" Winkette asked Dani.

"Very," said Dani. "Now why don't we say we get going?"

"Yeah!" everyone cried.

"And don't worry, I know exactly how to get there," Dani said. "You all can count of me to lead the way!"
