Dani and Aaron started to ride on the horse as Barney rode in the wooden wagon in the back that was attached to the animal's riding equipment. The Winkster and Winkette started roller skating together. Everyone was now on the chase to get the egg back from the truck Mr. Millet was driving in. And along the way, the twins noticed they were much faster than usual, all thanks to a mixture of their shared special ability as well as roller skating at the same time.

"We're gonna catch the truck first, Winkette!" said the Winkster.

"We are?!" said Winkette, seeing how fast she and her brother as going. "Whoa, Winkster, what is this about?! Why are we faster than ever?!"

"Don't you see?!" the Winkster said, figuring out the reason. "Our ability to be quick and these roller skates is like a double whammy!"

"Oh I see!" Winkette said. "That makes a lot of sense!"

As the Winkster predicted, he and Winkette reach the truck first. And once they were close enough, the Winkster knew exactly what to do.

"We're gonna jump into the back on the count of three!" he said to his sister. "Okay sis?!"

"Okay brother!" Winkette replied.

"1…2…3!" the Winkster cried.

The twins jumped as they landed onto the back of the truck. But before they can get their hands on the barrel of birdseed that contained the egg, Mr. Millet went over a bump in the road. The force was so hard that the two were quickly ejected and went airborne. And when they came back down, the twins both grabbed the end of the truck from behind and were starting to get dragged as the truck kept going. But they weren't being dragged in a deadly way as their roller skates were sliding on the road. As well as the roller skates protecting their feet as well as their safety paddings protecting their knees and elbows and their helmets protecting both their heads. The Winkster and Winkette were trying so hard to not slip off as they both started screaming while hanging on for dear life.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" the twins screamed.

"Don't let go, Winkette!" the Winkster told his sister.

"I won't, Winkster!" Winkette said back to him.

Just then, the barrel started to slide off from the back of the truck. When the twins notices this, due to them being physically active, the two managed to get themselves upright as they let go of the truck without falling or hurting themselves. Now their focus came on grabbing the barrel containing the egg.

"I got it, I got it!" the Winkster cried, as he grabs the barrel. "We got the egg, Winkette!"

"Yay!" Winkette cried. "We did it, Winkster!"

The Winkster looks inside the barrel, noticing that all the birdseed had fallen out. He didn't think much of this as all he wanted was to save the egg. But to his absolute horror, he notices the egg wasn't inside and was missing.

"Actually, on second thought…" the Winkster said nervously, "I don't got it!"

"What do you mean?!" Winkette said all shocked.

"I mean the egg is gone!" said the Winkster.

"What?!" Winkette gasped. "Well, where is it?! It was just there!"

The two looked behind themselves as they saw the egg several feet away from them. And it seemed like it was going farther and farther away since the twins were still sliding on the road in their roller skates.

"OOOH NOOO!" the Winkster and Winkette shouted in horror as they saw the egg far away from them.

Because the two couldn't believe this was happening, when they turned back forward, the Winkster and Winkette saw that there was a parade going on in town. And because their reactions were delayed since the two weren't paying attention to their movements, the twins lost control of themselves as they were about to run into some of people participating in the parade.

"Uhhh oooh!" the twins said.

"We're gonna crash into the parade!" the Winkster said.

"What'll we do, Winkster?!" Winkette asked.

Realizing him and Winkette can't stop themselves, the Winkster quickly grabs his sister's hand as he said to her, "Brace yourself!"

The twins covered their eyes with their free hands as both the Winkster and Winkette crashed into the parade people. Nobody was hurt thankfully. And seeing this was just an accident, the parade carried on. And while the twins were pulling themselves together after the fall, the imagining wore off as the roller skates and everything with it magically disappeared.

"Noooo…" said Winkette, all disappointed.

"Aww…" said the Winkster, all disappointed as well. "Well, there's nothing we can do now, Winkette. We tried…"

He helps his sister up as he asks her, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," said Winkette. "Are you?"

"Yeah," said the Winkster. "I'm so glad none of us are hurt. Now why don't we look for Barney and the kids? They're probably wondering where we are since we really outran them."

"Okay…" said Winkette.

Seeing that his sister was feeling down, the Winkster tried to think of a way to cheer her up. And as they were walking, he grabbed a bunch of balloons since he had something in mind.

"Winkette?" said the Winkster.

"Yes…?" said Winkette.

"I'm going to make you laugh," said the Winkster. "Ready?"

"I'm sorry, what...? Winkette said, all confused.

The Winkster unties the balloon as he sucks in a little bit of helium from it. And because of this, his voice changed. And given that his real voice is high for a grown male, his voice was now even higher pitched thanks to the helium.

"How do you do, Winkette?" the Winkster said, in a high squeaky voice. "Whoo hoo hoo hoo!"

This made Winkette start to giggle.

The Winkster sucks in more helium and continues to speak in a high voice.

"Turn that frown upside down!" he said, still in a high squeaky voice. "Smile sis!"

Winkette continues to giggle as she was starting to feel better.

"Well then," the Winkster said, "I think I did my pa-"

He coughs a few times as his voice returns to normal and said, "Sorry..."

"It's okay," said Winkette. "Hehehe!"

The Winkster and Winkette then heard Barney, Dani, and Aaron calling out their names as the three were searching for the two. Especially since Barney and the two kids witnessed the crash that happened a few minutes prior to now, they didn't know if the twins were hurt or not. The brother and sister couldn't see their friends and Barney and the kids couldn't see the two, but the Winkster and Winkette did hear the three calling out to them.

"The kids and Barney are looking for us, Winkette!" said the Winkster.

"Then we better go to them!" said Winkette.

"Right!" the Winkster said, as he grabs his sister's hand. "Let's go!"

The twins followed the voices.

"Winkster?!" Dani called out to them. "Winkette?!"

"Where are you guys?!" Aaron shouted.

The Winkster and Winkette saw their friends as they quickly went to them.

"Winkster! Winkette!" Dani and Aaron cried, seeing the twins and hugging them both.

"Kids!" said the Winkster. "There you are!"

"Are you two alright?!" said Aaron. "We saw you crash into the parade people!"

"Yes, we're alright," said the Winkster. "We're just fine and unharmed."

"Oh thank goodness!" said Dani, then pausing and asking the twins, "Did you manage to get the egg back?"

"No…" the Winkster and Winkette said sadly.

"We almost did, though!" the Winkster said.

"We were this close to getting it back!" Winkette said.

"Oh dear…" said Dani. "What are we gonna do then…?"

"I don't know…" said Winkette, then spotting the egg in the road and saying, "Oh, there it is! I must get it this time!"

Just as Winkette was about to step off the curb, Barney stopped her.

"Wait a minute, Winkette!" he said to her.

"What Barney?" said Winkette.

"What are the rules about crossing the street?" Barney asked her, seeing if she remembered them.

"Ummm...Always look both ways?" Winkette guessed.

"Yes, that is correct," said Barney.

Winkette was frustrated as the egg was right in front of her.

"Winkette, it's something we learned as kids," said the Winkster. "Don't you remember?"

"I do," said Winkette. "But I can get the egg in a flash. I'm quick as a wink!"

"I know you are," said the Winkster. "And so am I. But there will always be rules surrounding safety. And I certainly don't want you or me to actually get hurt this time after that parade mishap..."

He sees his sister unhappy and says to her, "Look, it'll be quick. Trust me."

The Winkster turns to his left as he said, "Now first, we look this way."

There were no cars coming the group's way.

"And what do you know?" the Winkster said. "There's nothing coming."

He then turns to his right as he said, "Then we look that way, and-"

The Winkster sees something that surprised him as he shouted loudly, "THERE'S SOMETHING COMING!"

The group saw that a marching band approached. And since this was a parade, the marching band played their instruments while doing a musical dance number. All while the egg was in the middle of it! This made Barney, the Winkster, Winkette, Dani, and Aaron worried as they feared that the egg might get cracked or even crushed by the dancing.

"They're fancy dancing right on top of the egg!" said Barney.

"What are we going to do?!" said the Winkster.

"They're going to break the egg!" said Winkette.

"Oooh I can't look!" Dani said, covering her eyes.

"Tell us when it's over!" Aaron said, covering his eyes as well.

"I will say…" Barney said, seeing that the egg was not being stepped on despite all this going on. "This is very impressive!"

"DON'T SCRAMBLE OUR EGG!" the Winkster and Winkette screamed, watching in horror.

The twins then saw something that made them both gasp hard. The ring right in the middle of the egg started to glow brightly. But instead of feeling amazed and astonished, the twins were very worried as they saw this happening.

"Oh no!" said the Winkster. "Another ring is lighting up!"

"That's ring number three!" said Winkette.

"Only two more to go!" said the Winkster.

The ring stopped glowing as it left behind a shade of green.

"It's green!" said Winkette. "And a nice shade of it, too..."

"What do we do now, Barney?!" the Winkster asked Barney.

"Uhhh!" said Barney. "I don't know!"

"Oh, come on!" said the Winkster. "We have to-"

He sees someone in the parade pick up the egg as he shouts, "HEY, PUT THAT EGG DOWN!"

Then to his absolute horror, the person threw the egg into the air as the egg zoomed away from the parade as it was still airborne.

"NOOOOO!" the Winkster screamed, running after the egg.

"AFTER IT!" Winkette screamed, following her brother.

Barney and the kids follow the twins from behind.

"We need to catch that egg!" Winkette shouted.

Winkette then uses her special ability as she ran very quickly and caught up to the egg. And as it came down, she caught just in time.

"Got it!" she cried.

"Great job, sis!" said the Winkster, in relief.

Barney, Dani, and Aaron saw this happen as they were relieved that Winkette had caught the egg.

"Wow Winkette!" said Dani. "How did you do that?!"

"I'm just as quick as a wink!" Winkette said, as she did a little wink with her eye.

Winkette looks at the egg and smiles as she said, "Looks like my ability came in handy."

She then said happily. "Our worries are gone and our adventure is over! What else could possibly go wrong?!"

Winkette was so happy that she threw the egg into the air in great excitement. But she threw it so high up that the egg was now out of everyone's reach as it zoomed in the air again. Winkette didn't realize the huge mistake she just made, but the Winkster sure did know it.

"Winkette!" said the Winkster. "Noooo!"

"What?" said Winkette.

Winkette realizes what she did as she widened her eyes and unintentionally shouts an expletive. Because she was stunned and upset, she couldn't control her speech at this very moment. The twins rarely swore, but due to her feeling this way, she did it.

"Winkette!" the Winkster said, covering his sister's mouth. "Not in front of the kids!"

"Sorry!" Winkette muffled.

The egg then landed on a large hat that a woman was wearing. Since the hat was one of those vintage antique ones that were huge and fluffy, the woman didn't feel or notice a thing.

"It's on that woman's hat!" Aaron said, pointing to the woman.

"And she's going into that restaurant!" Barney said, seeing that the woman was entering a fancy restaurant with a man she knew.

"What do we do?!" asked Dani.

"We need to go inside and get that egg, of course!" said Aaron, then saying to everyone, "Well, don't just stand there, let's go!"

"Right!" said Barney.

Barney and the kids ran towards the building. But since Winkette was in great distress from her mistake, the Winkster wanted to calm her down first as she couldn't do it on her own.

"I can't do this…" Winkette said.

"Winkette, it's okay..." the Winkster said.

"No it's not!" said Winkette, getting very upset. "I threw the egg and now it's lost again! I'm sorry! I really am!"

"Winkette, I know you got really excitement about catching the egg," said the Winkster. "You didn't mean to lose it again..."

"Maybe we should just forget about this whole thing and go home..." said Winkette.

"No Winkette," said the Winkster. "Remember what Miss Goldfinch said to us? The egg can only hatch in our shed since that is where you found it. And currently, three out of the five rings are lit. And by the time the last two rings light up, I know you'll want the egg to be safe. So we HAVE to get it back before it's too late."

The Winkster looks at his twin sister and said as he hugs her, "Winkette...We can do this. I just know we can. You understand?"

"Yes…" said Winkette, calming down.

"Good girl…" said the Winkster, giving her a kiss on the forehead. "I love you…"

"I love you, too…" said Winkette. "Alright, let's go."
