"Before we do anything else we have something else to deal with." Xander got his mind back on task. "Your turn again, Willow. Ted Buchanan, he works at a local computer store. He's also a robot, who was created in the 1950's by the human Ted Buchanan. He's malfunctioning, seriously malfunctioning. He targets a woman, dates her, marries her, imprisons her in his house and when she dies, preserves the body and stacks it in a closet."

"A robot?!" Willow exclaimed excitedly. "Made in the 1950's? How?"

"Is that the only part you got?" Cordelia asked. "Did you miss the part about the bodies?"

"Apparently the real Ted Buchanan was a sickly and financially unsuccessful inventor in the 1950s whose wife left him. I guess out of desperation, he built a robot version of himself, "a better Ted," possibly to be the man he thought his wife should have. The robot then kidnapped Ted's wife and held her captive in his bunker until she died. The robot then found other women resembling Ted's dead wife and repeated the process again and again." Xander answered Willow's questions, somewhat amused by her excitement and grim about the robot at the same time. "And he may already be dating Mrs. Summers." *

"Mrs. Summers?!" Amy exclaimed. "Buffy's mom?"

"Yes." Xander said grimly, no longer even slightly amussd. "I know it's right around now that they started dating. He's a misogynistic asshole who hides it until he's got the 'little woman' literally locked up. Buffy figured out there was a problem when she caught him reading her diary. He attacked her, she defended herself and he pretended she killed him. The police got involved, than he came back and kidnapped Ms. Summers. While we," He indicated Cordelia, Willow and himself. "were investigating his house and finding and anonymously reporting the bodies, Buffy was bashing in his robot head with a frying pan."

"The frying pan method probably won't work for us." Cordelia pointed out with a smirk. "Shooting him with a regular bullet might, but not the wooden ones that Xander's making or rather carving for us."

"Which is where Willow comes in." Xander agreed. "We need to destroy it, not just stop it."

"Well, I have no idea if he's bothered to update his components or just replaced them with the same kind as he originally had. If he updated the components, he may have updated the shell as well."

"He works in a computer store." Xander reminded her. "So chances are he has kept up with technology."

"You don't know?" Amy asked curiously.

"Other me tuned Willow out when she started babbling about it. He was more interested in thinking about his and his Cordy's most recent make out session and how to convince her he'd like more than just hot make out sessions and comparing his interest in Cordelia with his interest in Buffy. I think he hadn't yet realized that his interest in Buffy was waning. He was thinking more and more about Cordelia as time went on. I have the advantage of seeing where a relationship with her can go, he didn't."

"Definite sign of intelligence and good taste." Cordelia grinned at him. Willow snorted and Amy giggled. Giles shook his head, amused.

"Anyway." Willow continued. "If he has kept up with the technology than he probably is protected from EMP pulses or wireless signals that could affect his programming. So a different kind of force is needed. Physically he'd be too strong for us to take on."

"And telepathy only works on living minds." Xander added. "So my ability to help is limited. I don't even know if the denn'bok could penetrate its metal body because I don't know how thick the walls are or what the metal used is. A denn'bok releases fast and hard, but it does have it's limits."

"So that leaves Magic or science." Giles decided.

"I don't know any spells that affect machines." Amy said. "I can research, but I'm not sure how much time we have."

"I know how to use machines as part of Magic." Jenny said. "But I don't know how to attack machines with Magic."

"Then that leaves science." Willow said. "Chemistry might be our best option. Off the top of my head I would say something acidic or corrosive would be best. Something that would eat through the metal and fast, would be our best bet. Let me check some websites, give me a minute." She moved to the computer and began pulling up various websites, searching for something they could use, hopefully before Mrs. Summers was in any trouble.

"Hydrochloride or sulfuric acid is probably our best bet." Willow said after a little research. "Both will require safety gear to use. And the best way I can think to introduce it, is into its mouth."

"Its mouth?" Xander asked.

"You're right, we don't know how thick the metal of the body is. The acid will eat though the metal, but it will take time. On the other hand the mouth will need less metal, especially the tongue. The tongue connects to the body, the acid is a liquid, it will flow from one area to another. The only problem will be getting the acid into the mouth. Especially in sufficient quantities to cause enough damage."

"Can Magic be used to hold it immobile?" Xander asked.

"Yes." Both Amy and Jenny said simultaneously.

"Than we have a plan." Xander decided. "Jenny and Amy hold it immobile and we pour acid down its throat. We dispose of the remains and report the dead bodies to the police. We can confirm the marriages and lack of death certificates at the Sunnydale archives and his employment at the computer store. We wait until he's at work, check his house for the bodies and wait for him to come home. And we eliminate one more potential threat."
