Kanto Gets Loud
Chapter 77: Moving Out!
"… And that's how Valentino finally got what was coming to him, and how Verosika and every other performer under Val's control were freed," Lincoln concluded by telling his family about his day in the Monster Realm.
"*whistles* That's wild, Lincoln! And the whole bit about the incinerator made it sound like you were in one of those spy movies you and Clyde like watching," Luna commented.
"Yeah. And you want to know something funny? Emily, the Glam Sisters, and every other perform now views me as their big brother. Kind of ironic, since I'm younger than any of them," Lincoln replied.
"Eh, why question something if it makes them that happy?" Luan questioned rhetorically.
"Fair enough," Lincoln replied.
"Normally, I would say that it must've been scary for you to have been thrown into the incinerator like that, but you've already managed to survive a sunken cruise ship, among other unsavory events during your stay in Kanto," Rita stated, sounding like she wanted to make a point, but was falling short.
"I understand Mom, but all the danger I've been experiencing is par for the course as a trainer. But enough about what I've been up to. How have things been on your end?" Lincoln asked.
"Well, not only have we finished packing everything for the move, but we also went and bought ourselves a new house," Rita replied.
"And believe us when we say that this house is the kind of house we need!" Lola added.
"It has little over double the bedrooms this house has, it's a lot more spacious, and the best part? It's got a decent sized pool in the backyard!" Luna added. Lincoln couldn't help but let out an impressed whistle.
"Looks like the family's making some major improvements for living," he commented.
"Yeah. Though I really should go and see about taking back my maiden name, seeing as how I don't plan on EVER getting back together with THAT man again," Rita replied.
"That being said Lincoln, we would like to ask a favor of you before we cut off our transmission," Lisa added.
"Oh? What might that be?" Lincoln asked.
"We'd like for you to come back home, temporarily of course, and, with Lapis' Psychic abilities, help us with moving our belongings into the new house. This would also allow you to know WHERE the new house is so when you and Leni come back, you'll know where to portal over," Lisa explained.
"I see, two birds with one stone. Alright, I'll portal over later tonight so that it's morning over in Royal Woods," Lincoln replied.
"That sounds more than acceptable, sweetie. We can talk some more when you come over. For now, we need to get to bed," Rita replied.
"I understand, Mom. I'll see you all later then," Lincoln replied, as he hung up, "Ok, so looks like things are taking something of a turn for the better back home," he commented, as he got up and regrouped with his friends.
"So, how are things with your family?" Misty asked.
"Pretty good. Mom and them bought a new, larger house, and are planning to move into it tomorrow morning, Royal Woods Time, naturally. And they've asked me to come and help out with getting our stuff into it," Lincoln replied.
"Well, good to know that things are looking up for your family," Brock commented, as he was looking over the map.
"Well, hopefully, with Lapis and Metang's help, it shouldn't take too terribly long," Lincoln replied, as he and Misty took a look at the map as well, "So, what route should we take to get to Fuchsia City?"
"Well, the quickest route will have us going along Routes 16 through 18. We'll first have to get through Grampa Canyon, then a couple of towns, including places called 'Dark City' and 'Hop-Hop-Hop Town'. After that, we'll need to go through some more towns, including Stone Town, at the foot of Evolution Mountain, which will put us right at Sunny Town, which is just a bridge's length away from Fuchsia City," Brock explained.
"Looks like we'll be hitting a lot of places. But on the bright side, we'll no doubt get to see more Pokemon along the way," Lincoln commented. Brock then looked something over on the map.
"Oh, never mind about that shortcut in Sunny Town. Says here the bridge is still being built, and is for cars only. The only way to get across quickly is along the Bike Path," Brock pointed out.
"Oh shoot! Guess that Fuchsia City Badge will have to wait a bit longer," Lincoln groaned.
"Too bad about my poor bike. If the X Rockets hadn't destroyed it back in Viridian City, we wouldn't have too much of an issue there," Misty added.
"But didn't your bike only seat one person?" Lincoln asked.
"Yeah, but it's the thought that counts, right?" Misty asked, only for all three trainers to hang their heads in annoyance. That is, until…
"Well, fancy seeing you all still in town!" they looked up to see none other than…
"Midori? What brings you here?" Lincoln asked.
"Well, I came on behalf of the International Police," Midori replied, as she sat down next to Lincoln, who could only blush at the sight of her soft, thick thighs, "The International Police was so grateful for helping to find more information about Team Rocket's operations, that they had sent a little present for the each of you."
"A PRESENT?" the three trainers parroted.
Later, outside the Pokemon Center,
"WHOA!" they exclaimed, as right before them, were three, brand new, top of the line looking bicycles.
"Are these really for us?" Misty asked, giddy that she could finally replace her ruined bike.
"Yes indeed. We're most grateful for what you've done for us, that the head of the International Police insisted that you be rewarded with these bikes," Midori replied with a smile.
"Well, this would make traveling all the easier for us," Lincoln commented.
"Yeah. We'll be able to get to our destination in only a fraction of the time," Brock added.
"Not only that, but these are specially designed bikes that are resistant to ALL Pokemon attacks, and are nearly indestructible. You could even have a group of Onix or a heard of Tauros stampede across them, and they won't even get so much as a dent," Midori added.
"At least with these, I won't have to worry about it getting blown up anymore," Misty commented.
"By the way, Midori, was there more information on Team Rocket's operations on that flash drive Petrel dropped?" Lincoln asked. Midori's face could only contort with annoyance.
"I think you mean 'the drive he left for us to find'. Turns out there was a virus on it that completely wiped out the data banks at the International Police HQ on all the evidence we've collected against Team Rocket," she grumbled.
"What?! You're saying that now you don't have ANY evidence against them?!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Oh no, we all know that Team Rocket is guilty, even without any evidence. The boys at HQ had several off the grid backup files handy for just such an event, as well as physical copies of the evidence in question. I spent the past few days reentering some of the information back on the servers. But that virus… my superiors are saying that it was less of a means of destroying the proof we have against Team Rocket, and more of a threat against us. A warning, if you will, to stop all further investigation, or else," Midori explained.
"Well, at least the proof wasn't completely destroyed," Misty commented.
"Yes. My superiors are grateful for that," Midori replied.
"Well, we won't be leaving Celadon City until tomorrow morning, so why don't we have one last look around town?" Brock suggested.
"Sounds good. You want in, Midori?" Lincoln offered.
"Well, if insist," Midori accepted, joining the three trainers on their last night in Celadon City.
The next morning, at the Loud House,
Rita and her daughters were having quick and easy breakfasts to make it in time for the moving truck to arrive, "Do you see them yet, Luna?" Rita asked, as her punk daughter kept watch at the window.
"Nothing yet, Mom. But we should be seeing them anytime now," Luna replied. Just then, a portal opened up in the living room, and out stepped Lincoln, along with Pikachu.
"Are we late?" Lincoln asked, just as the moving trucks pulled in.
"On the contrary, you're just in time, bro," Luna replied.
"Alright kids, lets get this stuff into the trucks and move out!" Rita announced.
"Which means its these guys time to shine!" Lincoln said, as he released Lapis and Metang from their Pokeballs.
"Whoa, who's that Pokemon?" Lana asked in awe at the sight of Metang.
"This is Metang, another Psychic Pokemon I got from a Wonder Trade a while back. I'd rather not just lump all of this on Lapis, so I swapped in Metang to lend a helping hand," Lincoln replied, just as a knock was heard from the door.
"ROYAL WOODS MOVING COMPANY!" a man's voice was heard, as Rita answered the door, revealing two men standing behind it.
"Thank you so much for coming to help out! We have everything packed up and ready for the move," Rita greeted, motioning towards a mountain of moving boxes.
"Alrighty then! Let's get those trucks loaded up!" the first mover said, as they all began moving boxes and furniture out of the house.
"Alright, Lapis and Metang, use Confusion to help move these boxes into those trucks," Lincoln instructed.
"Okie dokie!" Lapis replied, as she and Metang began using Confusion, lifting several large boxes, and floating them out of the house and into the trucks.
"These two are making this job a breeze!" the second mover commented, impressed with how easily Lincoln's Pokemon are moving the boxes.
"Are there really more of these creatures in that 'Kanto' place you've been travelling around?" the first mover asked.
"Yes. But from what Professor Oak told me, the two species of Pokemon aren't native to Kanto. They're still reliable though," Lincoln replied, as he helped Luan with lifting a box.
"What do we do about the couch and other furniture?" Lola asked.
"I don't know. Do you girls think we really need to bring them over?" Rita asked.
"We can always visit one of the furniture stores and try to find some better couches and recliners, so I'd say just leave them," Luna replied.
"Sounds right," Lincoln added. The others shared similar sentiments.
"Well alright then. Looks like we're leaving the couches behind," Rita declared.
"But we can still take the dining room table and chairs," Lincoln suggested, as he and Lucy took out the last of the boxes.
"Yeah, that sounds fair," Lisa replied. Needing no instruction to do so, both Lapis and Metang lifted the table and chairs and floated them out of the house, and into the second truck.
"Ok, we bundled the pieces of each of our beds together, along with putting each of our names on the mattresses. Those will go next," Lola suggested. Lapis and Metang once again lifted up the pieces of each of the beds, and loaded them up into the trucks.
"You needn't worry, Lincoln. We'll handle putting the beds back together. All you'll need to do, once we've gotten everything into the new house is to choose your own room," Rita said to her son.
"Sounds fair," Lincoln replied, as the last of the furniture being moved out was loaded into the trucks.
"Alright, I believe that's everything, including the Transporter," Lisa commented, looking at the now, almost empty house.
"We'll go ahead and start taking this stuff up to your new place, Ms. Loud," the first mover said to Rita.
"That will do nicely, thank you," Rita replied, as the movers closed up the trucks, and got back inside, driving off to the new address, "Speaking of heading to the new house, we should get up there ourselves. Everyone into Van-zilla!" Lincoln then recalled both Lapis and Metang, and with that out of the way, the remaining Louds piled into Van-zilla, and drove off.
"So, what's going to happen when Lori and Lynn get out of… THAT place?" Lola asked, not wanting to even utter the name of the sanitorium.
"More than likely, they'll be brought to our old domicile upon their release. Since the sanitorium does the whole 'don't call us, we'll call you' rule, we'll have to wait for them to come drop off the two of them before we can go collect them," Lisa replied.
"I'm just hoping that they've managed to get their priorities straightened around," Lincoln commented.
"If what we heard about the treatments that they do there are true, I would be impressed if they managed to somehow hang onto their philosophies, along with their sanity," Lana replied.
"Why don't we move onto a more positive subject?" Lisa suggested, not wanting to think about the sanitorium.
"Sounds good. How about that Egg Lincoln received after the Contest?" Rita suggested.
"Yeah, that sounds like an 'egg-cellent' topic to talk about," Luan joked, only getting eye rolls from everyone in the van, "But in all seriousness, what's the deal with the egg, Lincoln?"
"Well, from what I've learned through my travels, Pokemon Eggs are mysterious objects that were first discovered by the Johto Region's Professor Elm. Apparently, no one has ever seen Pokemon lay an egg before. I was even told that some theories are abound that Pokemon simply find their Eggs," Lincoln explained.
"Well, the Eggs have to come from somewhere, so the theory about Pokemon merely finding their eggs is a bit a stretch," Lisa commented.
"Yeah. And I also learned from my friend, Bill, that Pokemon that belong to similar Egg Groups are able to breed with one another. For instance, since Pikachu belongs to both the Field and Fairy Egg Groups, I would need to breed it with a female Pokemon that belongs to the same Egg Group, such as Clefairy or Clefable from the Fairy Group, or Sandslash or Growlithe," Lincoln explained. His mother and sisters were baffled upon hearing this, especially remembering what the Pokemon he mentioned looked like from data he had been sending over.
"So, it's not a matter of species for species, but more of a matter of Egg Group for Egg Group?" That defies all manner of Darwinism Science!" Lisa exclaimed.
"Well, keep in mind, Pokemon aren't your typical animals. They're bound to far more different than what you're used to," Lincoln replied.
"So, did that judge say what the Egg will hatch into?" Rita asked.
"Not really. He said it's more fun to try and guess what it can be," Lincoln replied.
"So, you're just going to wait until it does hatch?" Lucy asked.
"That's basically the plan," Lincoln replied.
"Ok, so did anything more happen after the Contest?" Lola asked.
"Yes. You remember about that girl; Midori I told you all about?" Lincoln asked.
"You mean the spy that was leaking information from Team Rocket to Interpol? Yeah, we remember," Luna replied.
"Correct. Well, she told us that her superiors were so grateful for what we did to help take down the Celadon Game Corner, that they rewarded Brock, Misty and myself with brand new bikes," Lincoln replied.
"Whoa, lucky!" Lana exclaimed.
"Yeah, and handy too. Those bikes will cut the travel time between Celadon City and Fushcia City by almost half, especially once we get to Sunny Town and take the bridge shortcut. Of course, we need to cut through a few more towns to get to Sunny Town first," Lincoln replied.
"Well, it's still good that you got something to make traveling faster and easier," Rita replied, as they neared the new neighborhood.
"So, this is where we're going to be living from now on?" Lincoln asked, amazed at all the large houses they passed.
"That's right. We got one of the larger houses here. And believe me when I say that this is the kind of upgrade we deserve after everything that's happened," Luan replied.
"I got to say, Royal Woods is a pretty nice place," Pikachu commented.
"Yeah, it's a fairly nice town to live in. Of course, we do often butt heads with Hazeltucky, mostly in sports games like football, but that's another story altogether," Lincoln replied, as they stopped in front of the new house, "Whoa, you weren't kidding when you said it was a bigger house!"
"Yep! And just wait till you see the inside," Lisa replied, as they all piled out.
"Alright, time for an encore performance you two!" Lincoln said, once again sending out Lapis and Metang, just as the movers opened the trucks, "You both know what to do."
"Sure thing, Lincoln!" Lapis eagerly replied, as she used Confusion to float some of the furniture out of one of the trucks, and into the house, while Metang lifted the first set of boxes out. Rita went to open the front door to the new house, allowing Lapis and Metang to float in the first set of stuff, followed by each of the Loud siblings, sans Lily, and the movers, each carrying a box of their own.
"Whoa!" Lincoln was amazed at the inside of their new house. The main foyer was wide and open, as was the living room, which included a central fireplace, "I always had a feeling that the houses in this neighborhood were impressive, but I didn't think they would be THIS modern!" he commented, setting his box down, before following the other out to collect more, just as Lapis floated in the last of the furniture and some more boxes, along with Metang.
"And once we're done here, you can have first pick of the bedrooms, apart from the one Mom chose for herself," Lola replied.
"That means a lot, Lola," Lincoln replied, as they all brought in the last of the boxes.
"Alright, not too shabby work!" Rita commented.
"Thank you for choosing Royal Woods Moving Services. Here's the bill," the first mover said, giving Rita the bill.
"Do you have a card reader?" she asked.
"Of course. I'll just go and fetch it," the first mover said, heading back to his truck.
"And in the meantime, you girls show your brother the bedrooms, and start choosing which ones you want," Rita said to her kids.
"OK, MOM!" the girls replied, as they led Lincoln upstairs.
"And there's even a balcony overlooking the foyer?! My mind is blown!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"Ours were as well when we first saw this place," Lucy replied, as they got to the bedrooms.
"Alright Lincoln, as per what Lola said, go ahead and take your pick," Luna urged.
"Alrighty then," Lincoln replied, as he looked inside each of the rooms. Each one was far more spacious than any of the bedrooms at their old house. Lincoln knew that it would be a big change from what he was used to, "Hmm, each of these rooms look almost the same," he commented.
"How about this one?" Pikachu asked, looking inside one of the rooms.
"That one?" Lincoln went to see what Pikachu meant, and was amazed at what he saw. The room was a bit smaller than all the other bedrooms, but was still a bit larger than what his sisters had in the old house. It included a small loft, and a skylight, "Oh, now THIS is the kind of room you can get used to!"
"So, I'm guessing you're wanting this one?" Luan asked.
"Yeah, I think we might have a winner here," Lincoln replied.
"Alright then! Now that Lincoln's chosen his room, we can go ahead and start divvying up the other rooms amongst us," Luna said.
"And Lori, Leni, and Lynn are going to have their picks once they get back, right?" Lana asked.
"Since they aren't here, that's the only thing we can do right now. Of course, Lincoln can always bring Leni back home long enough to choose her bedroom," Lisa replied.
"Hmm, maybe I should bring her over just quickly enough. Since I've been to the Cerise Lab, I can just pop over and see if she's willing to come choose a room, if she's not out in the field doing research with the others," Lincoln stated, pulling out his amulet. He proceeded to open a portal to just outside the Cerise Lab, "I'll be back in a few," he said, passing through, along with Pikachu. He then went up to the front door, and rang the doorbell. In a moment, the door opened to reveal Professor Cerise, who was very surprised to see Lincoln.
"Why hello, Lincoln. You're out awfully late. What brings you here?" Professor Cerise asked.
"Hello, Professor. Is Leni here by any chance?" Lincoln asked.
"As a matter of fact, she and the others returned here not too long ago. They should be in the dining room with the others. Is there something you need from her?" Professor Cerise asked, inviting Lincoln inside.
"Yes. First, did Leni and them tell you about my engagement to princesses from the Monster Realm?" Lincoln asked.
"Yes, they did. We were most surprised to learn about this. She even told me about the amulet you have that allows you pass through to the Monster Realm, or any location you've previously visited," Professor Cerise replied, leading Lincoln through the lab.
"Yes, well, recently, our mother bought a new, larger house for us to live in, and we just got done moving everything inside. Our sisters are choosing their own bedrooms, and we felt it was only fair that Leni choose her room as well," Lincoln explained.
"Ah, I see where you're going with this. I'm sure she'll be most pleased to hear this," the professor replied, as they entered the dining room, where Lincoln's pals from Royal Woods, along with Goh and Sid, where all eating their dinners.
"Well, look what the cat dragged in!" Bobby stated, seeing Lincoln with the professor.
"Hey guys!" Lincoln greeted.
"Hi Linkey! What are you doing here?" Leni asked.
"I came to let you know that Mom and the others just finished moving into the new house, and are now in the midst of choosing rooms," Lincoln replied.
"Wow, that's amazing to hear!" Clyde commented.
"So, is your new house bigger than your old one?" Rusty asked.
"There's no comparison, Rusty. The new house is a lot bigger than the old one, so much so that each of us can have our own rooms," Lincoln replied.
"Does that mean that you…?" Leni asked.
"Yep. I can now have a proper bedroom again, instead of a converted linen closet," Lincoln replied.
"And you said Leni needs to choose her own room too?" Stella asked.
"That's right. I'll be bringing her right back, so there's no need to worry there," Lincoln replied, before turning to his sister, "So Leni, shall we then?"
"Sure! I'd love to see the new house!" Leni replied, getting up from her seat. Lincoln then opened the portal back to the new house, "I'll be right back!" she said, as she, Lincoln, and Pikachu passed through, and into the foyer. Upon seeing the new house, Leni was amazed, "Ooh, everything here is so much bigger than our old home!"
"That was my reaction when I passed through. You have to admit, Mom and the others really outdid themselves with choosing a good, new house," Lincoln replied, as he led Leni upstairs, where the others were all waiting.
"Hey, they're back!" Lola called out, coming out from one of the rooms. The others did as well, each coming out of their own individual rooms as well.
"Hello Leni. I trust things have been well since you've been in Kanto since the last time we spoke?" Rita asked.
"Yep! We got back from an outing in Celadon City here the other day when we attended a cooking class," Leni replied.
"A cooking class? A bit out of place with your new position as a Trainer, but who am I judge?" Lisa questioned.
"So, what was the class about?" Luna asked.
"It was regarding these neato treats we can give our Pokemon called 'Pokeblocks' and 'Poffins'," Leni replied.
"These things are made from Berries, and, depending on the flavor, are irresistible to Pokemon. They're mostly used to help improve the appeal and qualities of certain aspects of Pokemon," Lincoln replied, pulling out his Pokeblock and Poffin Cases, and showing them the treats in question.
"Interesting," Lisa commented, looking at the two types of treats.
"Well, in any case, you should go ahead and pick your room, Leni," Luna suggested.
"Ok!" Leni cheerfully replied, as she went around the remaining rooms, "So, which room did you pick, Lincoln?"
Lincoln then went over to the room he had chosen, where all of his stuff was already inside, "I chose this one. It's a bit smaller than the other ones, but it's still a little bigger than what all of you had in the old house. Not only that, there's also a loft and a skylight."
"That's totes incredible!" Leni exclaimed, as she continued staking out the remaining rooms, "This one has a fairly large closet. I'm no doubt going to have tons of new outfits from over in Kanto and the other regions, so I think this one is for me."
"Alrighty then," Rita commented, nodding towards Lapis and Metang, who then floated all of Leni's stuff into her new room, "You and your brother should take this time to unpack your stuff and organize your rooms. We'll worry about reassembling your beds."
"Ok Mom!" Leni replied, as she went into her new room to start unpacking. Lincoln did the same thing.
"Alright, maybe I can start off with my clothes. Thank goodness for my new dresser and other furniture," Lincoln commented, as he dug out his clothes, and took them over to the dresser that had already been moved into the room. He rolled out each drawer, and placed his shirts, his pants, his underwear and socks in them. Pikachu came in and began looking inside the boxes.
"So, all of this stuff is yours?" Pikachu asked, noting how very little stuff Lincoln had compared to his sisters.
"Yeah. Most of it are my comics, toys, video games, and other knickknacks. I don't really mind too much, since most of the stuff I have can be easily tucked away," Lincoln replied, as he proceeded to start moving his other belongings to new homes. Since he didn't have much in the way of stuff, it didn't take long for him to finish, "Alrighty then. I can worry about my comics when I get back," he said, as he and Pikachu took another moment to look around the room. Lincoln went on up to the loft, "Oh yeah, this can do nicely for a little reading nook."
"And you've got a nice view of the sky too," Pikachu added, looking out the skylight.
"Yeah, so needless to say, I'd say I got a nice deal here," Lincoln commented, as he went back down the ladder. The two exited the room, just as the others did as well.
"Alright, so we're all unpacked, as far as our rooms are concerned. Once we have a little break, we can get the rest of the stuff dealt with," Rita stated.
"Yes. But I think we can handle that ourselves. Lincoln should get Leni back to the Lab before it gets too late," Luna replied.
"But no need to worry. If she or the others want to come back home, even for a day, all they need to do is give me a call, and I'll bring them back," Lincoln added.
"By the way, Leni, where are you and the others going to do your research next?" Rita asked.
"Hmm, if I remember correctly, we're going to be heading to some place called 'Grampa Canyon' to not only learn about fossils, but we've also been tasked with helping the Professor's daughter with her science project for her school," Leni replied.
"No way! We're going to be heading out for Grampa Canyon in the morning!" Lincoln exclaimed.
"So, we'll be seeing you and your friends sooner than we expected!" Leni replied.
"Well, that's good to hear. Both about being able to see each other and helping out the professor's daughter with her project," Rita commented.
"I hope to hear all about your excavations," Lisa added.
"Right! We'll be sure to tell you about what we find during the dig as well!" Leni replied, causing her mother and siblings to just stare at her with blank looks.
Meanwhile, at Royal Woods State Prison,
Lynn Sr. was in the infirmary, getting treated by the medical staff. Actually, saying he was getting treated would be something of a lie. Earlier, he had been on the receiving end of his fellow inmates' abuse towards him. First, he had his food tray smacked out of his hands by someone from the same cell block. Naturally, the guards told him to go get some more food, only to receive a slighter more meager portion than before, but still enough to last until lunchtime. Next, he was part of a group who was ordered to help move some large containers, only for one of the other inmates to "accidentally" drop one of the heavier containers on his foot. Knowing that he would be useless with his foot injured the way it was, the guards escorted Lynn to the infirmary. Along the way, they passed by what appeared to be a small pile of broken glass, which the disgraced Loud patriarch somehow tripped and fell on top of, slicing his flesh, causing it to bleed out. And now, Lynn Sr. was in the infirmary, being treated by the unsympathetic medical workers with disinfectant which stung his cuts like getting lemon juice on the smallest paper cut ever under one's fingernail. They then proceeded to wrap up the cuts with gauze, and used casts to help with his foot, "There you go, you big baby. Now get out of here!" the doctor demanded, as Lynn Sr. was roughly escorted out of the infirmary. It was then that they were approached by another guard.
"Lynn Sr! You have a visitor!" he announced.
"Another one? Can't believe there are people who still even want to see this prick. Alright, you heard the man! Get moving!" one of the guards who was escorting Lynn Sr. said, as he was then taken to the visiting area.
'I wonder who could be here to visit me? I doubt it would be either Rita or Dad, since they're mad at me for whatever reason. And I know the girls wouldn't be able to even be allowed inside here with the restraining order against me,' he thought, as they arrived in the visiting area. It was then that he saw someone he had hoped to NEVER see again. The man in question was a muscular man with his brown hair combed back. He was wearing a blue tracksuit, and had a smug smirk on his face upon seeing Lynn Sr. He was accompanied by an African American woman wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt, and black yoga pants, and had black hair and gold hooped earrings, with a look that just spelled disdain and disgust towards Lynn, as he was sat down in front of the two.
"Well, well, well, isn't this a fitting scene? Ol' Lynnie is in jail for one of his many mistakes!" the muscular man taunted.
"Lance, you're still as UN-pleasant as always," Lynn Sr. greeted, annoyed at seeing the man before him.
"Oh, come now, Lynn, is that any way to talk to your own brother? But then again, with what we heard from Dad about how you got yourself in here, I know you don't really give a shit about family at all," the muscular man replied.
"You know as well as I do that I do prioritize family above all else!" Lynn Sr. snapped, only for everyone in the room to laugh at him, including both adults sitting before him.
"Yeah right, Lynn! Your treatment towards Lincoln says otherwise," the woman retorted. Lynn Sr. could only groan in irritation.
"Ugh, Lincoln again!? Why doesn't anyone want to acknowledge the fact that he lied about being bad luck?!"
"Well, maybe if you managed to reign in Junior's ego and teach her that losing helps to build character and that winning isn't the most important thing in sports, then you wouldn't be in this mess in the first place! So, just give it to me straight, Lynn, have any of your daughters ever ACTUALLY respected your authority? Because it seems to me that they were taking advantage of you to assert more power, control, and authority in the house than Lincoln was ever allowed to have!" Lance snapped.
"Well, of course they respected me! They knew that when they were grounded, then they were grounded, plain and simple, and they knew the consequences for challenging both my and Rita's authority," Lynn Sr. retorted.
"Yeah? Well, maybe YOU should've tried to use that 'authority' of yours to persuade your daughters away from kicking their brother out and selling his furniture. But no, you allowed yourself to be swayed by popular opinion, rather than rational thinking and now both you, Lori, and Junior are all suffering for your inaction! And why didn't you ONCE think of the possibility that your actions against your ex-son were illegal?!" Lance yelled.
"It was a heat of the moment thing! I figured once Junior had finally gotten over her initial loss to the Lions, then we could let Lincoln back in!" Lynn Sr. yelled back.
"And what would you have done if it was too late to do that, hmm? What if had gotten sick, or kidnapped by a child predator or attacked by a rabid animal or something? I sincerely doubt you would've been able to work things out then!" the woman yelled back. Lynn Sr. tried to come up with a rebuttal to what she had just said, but couldn't, "Yeah, that's what I thought."
"Well, in any case, we just came to give you one final privilege as my brother, you know, before I disown you," Lance said, his vindictive smirk once again working its way onto his face again.
"And what might that be?" Lynn Sr. asked, not feeling any lower with the knowledge that his brother was going to disown him, since he didn't care.
"Sharon and I have decided to move to Royal Woods so that we can be closer to the rest of the family. We opened up a new gym here," Lance boasted. Lynn Sr. couldn't believe it. His day was getting worse by the second.
"And before you say anything, Rita only divorced from YOU. That doesn't mean she'll cut all ties with us or OUR kids," Sharon chimed in.
"In fact, we're going to be heading over after this to meet up with them and tell them the good news," Lance added.
