Sanji rested his head on the back of his chair as the bell ring for lunch. He was so glad for this. It's not because he's hungry but he just couldn't concentrate with Zoro in front of him. The rabbit just wasn't sitting still. He would move his ears around, and groan in frustration. It was distracting. His eyes keep on Zoro to see what he's doing.
They gather their food bags and go to the cafeteria. The stares haven't stopped. They sit down and everyone is watching them. No, not all of them. All eyes are on Zoro. Every move he makes some one would whisper about it. Though, they can't hear exactly what they say it's very obvious who they are talking about. Everyone could tell that Zoro doesn't like it. They eat in silence before it gets to much and Zoro decides to pack his bento and leaves. The others follow, they quickly pack their food and go after Zoro. He has somehow found his way to the roof. He does not look behind him to see if they were with him. He just sit down on a random area, gets comfortable, open his bento and starts to eat.
They now understand why he hid his ears. His personality doesn't really match with his animal or maybe it does. This is new to them too but at the cafeteria he look annoyed but now, he seems upset. Obviously not happy but no one can blame him.
It was good that they moved to the roof, with no eyes on them they began to talk and goof around like they usually do on a normal day. When Zoro finish eating he lay on his back and close his eyes. They let him be. The beginning of lunch was upsetting for him so they let him do what he wants with no questions.
A strong breeze pass and everyone shivers. "It's getting cold." Chopper says, holding himself. Rubbing his arms to get warm.
"It is almost autumn." Robin says.
"I'm glad I'm not cold blooded." Nami says. She pulls her sleeves down.
Zoro catches their attention. He moves from the spot he's laying on but he doesn't seem to be awake. He starts crawling to Sanji. The closest person to him. Sanji flinches away from him but Zoro follows him and gets into his lap. He hugs him, resting his head on the cooks chest. Sanji looks down at Zoro's head on his chest, his arms raised in the air. He looks at the others to all of them staring at him. He sees Nami and Robin smiling at him and he couldn't help the blush starting to find its way on his cheeks.
"Marimo!" Sanji shouts shocked. That didn't seem to wake Zoro up from whatever he's doing. Sleeping seems to be it but why did he move to Sanji?
"He must be cold." Chopper says.
"Marimo! Get off!" Sanji shouts. He starts pushing Zoro off him, he tries to, Zoro's hold on him is strong and tight. After a one sided fight Zoro releases his hold on Sanji and sits up. Eyes a little closed, he rubs his eye. Before he registered anything a lets out a surprisingly adorable sneeze. Then he disappeared. Sanji looked down at his lap to see clothes. Zoro's clothes. He feels something heavy on his lap. He shifted a little, moving his legs to cross. He hears another sneeze coming from his lap. He moved the clothes until he finds something round and green. He slowly touches it, feeling soft fur. He wraps his fingers around soft fur, getting a good grip on him. Slowly he lift the little fur ball up.
Sanji comes face to face with a rabbit face. A green round face, long droopy ears, cute green paws, and a chubby round body hanging in the air. Zoro's eyes slowly closes then opens again. His grey eyes seem to be lighter as a rabbit.
Nami gets close. "It's Zoro!" She says happily. She wanted to see what he looks like as an animal, so when she learned that he was a rabbit, she became more excited. She really wanted to see him. Of course so she could tease him. She takes out her phone and starts to take pictures. Sanji, didn't think he would ever do this, doesn't pay attention to Nami. Something is up with Zoro.
"Zoro is shivering." Sanji says just as Zoro sneezes again. This alerts Chopper. He goes over to Zoro.
"Different hybrids reacted to the weather differently." Chopper says. He touches Zoro. "He's not sick." The little doctor says. That's good, if different hybrids react to the weather differently then they need different medicine too.
"What do... we do?" Sanji asks.
"He went to you so you take care of him." Usopp says.
"He most likely went to you because he was cold." Robin says. "You were close to him and have fur."
"True." Nami says looking through the pictures she took.
"Thank you, Robin-chan but what do I do?" Sanji asks.
"Take him to the infirmary to warm up." Brook suggests.
"By myself?" Sanji asks letting Zoro down on his lap.
"Why not? He's in your lap already." Nami says smiling down at her phone. Zoro moves closer to Sanji's stomach, rolling into a ball.
"His bento box." Sanji says as he picks Zoro's clothes up and holding him in his arm.
"We'll take that back." Robin says picking it up and putting it next to her lunch box. Sanji stands up and goes to the infirmary room. Taking his time to not jostle Zoro to much. The nurse is there helping a student. Looks like a fight but it's not his place. The nurse looks Sanji up and down.
"Something wrong?" He asks.
"I have a student, rabbit here," Sanji shows Zoro in his arms, "he's cold." The nurse nods. He looks down at his desk after waving the student away. He reaches for his clipboard and a pen. He taps the pen on the clipboard to get the ink flowing.
"Class and name."
"Class 5-6. Sanji Vinsmoke." The cook says. The nurse scribbles that down.
"And your name?" He asks.
"Oh no, I'm Sanji." The blonde clarifies, a little embarrassed by the misunderstanding. The nurse puts down the pen and reaches for the white out. He whites out the words and rewrites Sanji's name and class.
"What's the bunny's name and class?" The nurse asks this time.
"Same class, 5-6. Zoro." He watches the nurses head nod. He continues, "Zoro Roronoa." The nurse pauses. He looks Sanji in the eye.
"Roronoa Zoro?" He clarifies. Sanji nods. The nurse quickly writes Zoro's last name, sets the clipboard on his desk and goes to one of the infirmary beds. "Lay with him in your animal form to warm him up." He instructs then runs to the door, leaving. Sanji hears a click. He looks down at Zoro, still shivering.
What did the nurse tell him to do? To warm Zoro up in his animal form? He doesn't want to.
But the nurse told him to. And the nurse's attitude changed after Zoro's last name.
Here goes nothing.
