Chris's Recap
"Last time, on Total Drama Nialasach…
A team summit of Ebisu and Hayaji culiminated in Mirai exposing Aaron and Alison's two-timing in front of practically two thirds of the remaining cast! Ooof, that did a lot of relationship damage, and it freaking showed in the challenge when Mirai and Alison got into an all-out fight! Meanwhile, on the blissfully unaware Inari, Zaheen and Rashi were making plans of their own, each targeting the other one, leaving Gran as a potential swing vote. In the end, when Inari did lose Twilight's challenge of punch-tag, Gran wasted his vote on his long time enemy, Cherry, forcing Zaheen and Rashi into a tiebreaker. Zaheen gave an impressive display of magic, but Rashi stunned everyone by revealing that she had predicted, move for move, precisely what Zaheen was going to do before she did it! Thus did the druid buy herself another week in the competition, and the illusionist was sent home. Now, 12 are left, recently divided into two final new teams! On Hayaji, we have Alison, Cherry, Gabriel, Gran, Rashi, and Watts. On Ebisu, we have Aaron, Ellie, Erin, Mirai, Monica, and Phooko! Which of these teams will get their ducks in a row and which contestant on the losing side will fall prey to the whims of the other contestants? … Find out right here on Total! Drama! Nialasach!"
*Total Drama Theme Song Plays*
As the song starts, various cameras come out of the flora and fauna all around the island.
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine, you guys are on my mind
The camera zooms around all of Crios Cath before finally entering into the Nialasach Ruins.
You asked me what I wanted to be and now I think the answer is plain to see,
Aaron is on his skateboard, skating through the ruins, and as he moves forward, Claude can be seen following him, cleaning up the dust left by his skateboard tracks so that he can clear a path for Monica, who smiles at him, but ends up rolling her eyes, annoyed, when she's sure he isn't looking, and begins to pay attention to another part of the ruins, which the camera then shifts to.
I wanna be famous
Watts is looking over Erin's shoulder at an experiment she is working on, and she seems to be attempting to hide it from him, when the ruins wall explodes, causing Erin to fall back into Watts's arms before shoving herself out of them, the two then look over to see that the explosion was caused by Ash accidentally triggering a tripwire. She smiles and waves in an attempt to make the situation less embarrassing for her.
I want to live close to the sun
Camera switches to show Alison sitting on a beach chair and relaxing before waves come crashing in and ruin her clothes. She stands up with a huff and takes the beach chair further inland, but the same event happens, and she appears to let out a scream.
Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won
Camera shifts up to reveal that Simon and Arnold both saw Alison's ordeal, and while Simon starts to snicker at it, Arnold begins to flamboyantly tell Simon off, and Simon plugs his ears and walks away with rolling eyes.
Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day
Camera shifts to Upper Ceol Fields, where Zaiyrin is seen showering Cherry with all manner of gifts and compliments, and Cherry somewhat scoffs at them before blushing with a smile once Zaiyrin leaves and heading over to Ellie to talk excitedly with her about it while Ellie is working on a costume.
'Cause I wanna be famous
Rashi and Phooko both see the events with Zaiyrin, Cherry, and Ellie, and quietly laugh to each other as they both tend to a small garden of growing plants, with Phooko's plants looking quite healthy, and Rashi's plants looking unnaturally perfect.
Na na nananana nanananana na nanananana
Camera shifts to the Glas Woods, where Raul and Vanessa are sketching each other with smiles. Camera first hovers over Raul's shoulder showing a brilliantly done sketch of Vanessa, then switches over to Vanessa's shoulder, where a sketch of Raul can be seen, but Vanessa needs to keep adding wolves to the sketch as they crowd around Raul like he's part of their pack.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
Mark is playing music in Cailleach Bog, but immediately rolls out of the way of a falling tree, he looks over to see an almost seething Mirai, who turns to him and begins to smile sweetly as she begs him to play. Mark is a little nervous at first but as he begins to play, Mirai begins to cheer peacefully as the camera shifts to Lower Ceol Fields.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
In Lower Ceol Fields, Donny and Gabriel are engaged in a rather heated argument, and Christa and Jenae both walk up to Donny and Gabriel respectively, Christa tries to comfort Donny, but he begins arguing with her instead. Meanwhile, Jenae begins to continue to argue with Gabriel, but he stops her when he notices she's moving her hand down his chest.
As the other contestants whistle the rest of the tune around the Tine Naofa Bonfire, Gran and Zaheen both attempt to make the fire grow larger. Upon Gran's attempt the fire blows up in his face, causing Zaheen to snicker as she pulls off the trick perfectly and the flames begin to form the season title: Total Drama Nialasach
Location: Tine Naofa Bonfire Pit
Contestant(s): All Remaining
Twelve players, divided cleanly along two sides of the bonfire pit, all stared each other down.
"Well, now what?" Watts asked. He looked to Gabriel, Rashi, Alison, Gran, and Cherry, but it was Ellie who spoke up.
"We should, while we're all here, determine what the next challenge might be. So that no one gets any sort of unfair advantage."
"Who was it that was eliminated in 12th back on Zero Sum?" Cherry asked.
"Wasn't it Damon?" Mirai wondered.
"It was." Watts nodded.
"Then, from what I can tell, it'll be something nonviolent." Erin chimed in. "Maybe training an animal, or caring for one even."
"Hm…" Aaron put a hand to his mouth. "As nice as it is that we're all together like this right now, perhaps we should split into our teams and head to separate campsites."
Confessional: Aaron: Team Ebisu
"Those five are not subtle. Anyone with a modicum of room-reading capability can see the alliance forming. Sorry, they can't merge with the numbers. But that plan shouldn't be too hard to put into action. I have my secret medal after all."
End Confessional
"Well, I don't think we need to listen to fuckfaces." Mirai gave Aaron a quick slug in the shoulder.
"Nor should we give into violence." He pointed out.
"I agree with Aaron, actually." Gabriel spoke. "We should seek out separate campsites and sleep. Chris mentioned the Lower Ceol Fields and the Glas Woods as the new areas, so perhaps one team can head to one biome while the other team takes the remaining biome."
"Wait, what's wrong with camping right here?" Watts asked, surprised that Gabriel would so readily agree with anything Aaron said.
"Sand, for one." Gabriel kicked some sand around. "And for another, a lack of any proper materials to build a shelter before the day begins. It'd be better on all of us to head to more favorable terrain."
"Ugh, are we going already or not?!" Alison asked. She was already marching across the sand. "Let's get to the Lower Ceol Fields so I can get my beauty sleep, people!"
"She'll need a lot of it to fix that ugly soul of hers." Rashi joked to Gran and Cherry as they followed after her.
"Guess we'll see you later then." Gabriel gave the opposing team a smile and bow before heading off as well, Watts following right behind him.
"Dude, what was that about?" Watts asked, concerned.
"Precaution." Gabriel responded. "Removing possible influences."
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"I don't know or care why Aaron wanted the teams to separate, but I'd be foolish not to take the opportunity to deprive him and Alison of each other. No matter who is at fault in their little affair, it still happened, and it can happen again. No, I'm going to deal with both of them one at a time."
End Confessional
"Well, suppose we should head over to The Glas Woods then." Phooko sighed.
"No use standing around on the sand." Monica agreed. She, Ellie, Erin, and Aaron all moved on up ahead.
"What was that about?" Phooko asked Mirai as they remained behind. "Are you and Aaron having hard times?"
"You were right to be suspicious of him." Mirai crossed her arms and blew hair out of her face. "He's a cheating lying bastard, and he's going to go DOWN."
"Whoa, whoa! I believe you but try to calm down!" Phooko gestured and turned to make sure none of their teammates had heard the outburst. "People are with you on this, I'm sure, but you need to lay off of it. Otherwise you might be eliminated for disrupting the harmony of the team."
"There will BE team harmony when the person who is ACTUALLY disrupting it is gone!" Mirai argued back.
"I agree, but the others might not!"
"Well, then they'll go right after him!"
"With whose votes Mirai?" Phooko motioned. "We're only two out of six people. We could probably get Ellie to side with us, maybe Erin, but Aaron is a smart guy! He's bound to have something up his sleeve!"
"Then be prepared to roll with his punches." Mirai rolled her eyes as she pushed past Phooko. "There's a fine line between caution and cowardice. Being afraid of the villains is exactly why they always make it far."
Confessional: Mirai: Team Ebisu
"Look, I know this is an uphill battle alright? But I can't just sit there and do NOTHING about this! Someone broke my trust in one of the most coldhearted ways, and it's not like his game was hinging on hooking up with that rich bitch! He just did it! Maybe someone with no self-respect would just sit there and take it, but I care about these things, damn it! So yeah, even if I have to eliminate myself, I want to make sure he goes home!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Phooko: Team Ebisu
"What the fuck is even going on? Mirai hates Aaron now, and it sounds like he cheated on her or something, and that's awful, but why is everyone else so nonchalant about it? I feel so out of the loop right now, and hopefully that can change, but I don't know who I'd talk to! Ellie? She's been my enemy! Erin? Fat chance getting her to help explain things to a stranger. Monica? If she knows what's going on, no way she'd share information with her competition."
End Confessional
Location: Glas Woods
Contestant(s): Aaron, Ellie, Erin, Mirai, Monica, Phooko
Phooko's thoughts on Monica were immediately thrown into question the next morning.
"Phooko and I are going to go collect firewood!" She called out before striding up to him and whispering. "You and I need to talk, privately."
"What's this about?" Phooko asked as they began to walk down a forest trail.
"It's about numbers." Monica responded. "Mirai, Watts, Cherry, Ellie, Erin. They're starting an alliance. Even if both you and your girlfriend make it to the merge, you're doomed final 6 at the very best. If, however, you team up with Aaron and I to whittle them down, then you could make it to the final 3 with us. I hope you understand that 3 is a smaller number than six and a better deal for you."
"Well…" Phooko sighed. "You aren't wrong, but I'm not entirely convinced we'd get to Final 3 anyways. We'd-"
"Have our work cut out for us. Yes, I'm aware." Monica rolled her eyes. "But it's decidedly less costly to both our games than just letting that alliance steamroll their way through the merge will be."
Confessional: Phooko: Team Ebisu
"Okay, so Monica does see value in me, but that's also a bit of a red flag for me. She doesn't seem to be very popular among the cast. If she holds onto that Force Medal all the way up to the final 3, she's practically won. So why did she only offer to take me to the Final 3 instead of 2? Would she really put herself against someone much smarter and likely stronger than me just because he may turn out less popular?"
End Confessional
Confessional: Monica: Team Ebisu
"What Phooko needs to do is use his head. There's no way the game will let me keep my immunity tiki as far as the final 3. That means, at best, I'll have it at the final 4 and use it there, but we can't know that either. So before I make any incredibly bold claims, I'll let him know he's part of the alliance I'm building. Three is enough to force a tie on this team, and all three of us should be able to beat either Erin or Ellie in most physical tiebreakers and Mirai in most mental ones, and, look at that! We have a Total Drama superfan detective on our side that can predict what we'll be up against."
End Confessional
At the Ebisu temporary campsite, Aaron was having a hard time convincing Mirai to let him cook breakfast for the team.
"You'll just poison it or something cowardly like that." She refused. "Because you need one of us to be a hindrance so we don't vote you off, but it won't work and we fucking will!"
"You know, Mirai, I've already expressed all the regret I could." Aaron sighed. "I'm not asking you to take me back or anything either, I just want us to be able to function as a team."
"YOU CAN'T JUST RIP MY HEART OUT AND EXPECT ME TO BE OKAY!" Mirai shrieked, causing Erin to nearly drop the berries she had collected as she and Ellie returned.
"HOLY-" She gasped as she caught them. "Mirai, I know you must be going through a lot right now, but if you can't work with him, please, for the love of the island gods, avoid him! I do not want to have to keep putting up with this!"
"And Aaron." Ellie smiled. "You might want to suck it up and just let Mirai dish out until she's tired. You are the clear offender from what I understand."
Aaron stared Ellie down.
Ellie didn't move, she just stood there, smiling back at him.
Confessional: Aaron: Team Ebisu
"It seems like Ellie's finally realized how good a position she's in right now and has decided to go on a little power trip at my expense. No matter. Stuff like this never stopped Oswald, so it's not going to stop me."
End Confessional
"Fine." Aaron stood up, and Mirai quickly stole his spot over the fire, tending to their breakfast. "I'll remove myself from the location. That way if she does follow me, you two can be witnesses when I say that I am not what will be hindering our team's cooperation."
"He does have a point, Mirai." Ellie sat down as Aaron left and Erin started to work on other camp chores. "If the two of you continuously fight, whoever instigates more often will likely be the one we send home, alliance or not."
"WHAT?!" Mirai gasped. "But… how would that work then? Don't you need five for the merge?"
"Sure we do." Ellie shrugged. "But nothing's to stop us from picking up Rashi or Gabriel or Phooko. I'm warning you for your own benefit, Mirai. You need to drop it. The best revenge you'll be able to give Aaron is to last longer than he does in this game, and you won't if you keep up the over the top drama."
"Ugggh…" Mirai groaned. "Why do you have to be right, Ellie?"
"Because if I'm wrong, then we're all doomed." Ellie smiled. "And hey, it's a good thing I'm right you know. It means that you're capable of seeing other people's arguments and points of view. That's a useful skill."
"Empathizing with those points of view is what's useful." Mirai stretched as she poured some cooked food onto a makeshift stone plate for Ellie and Erin, who was rejoining them around the campfire.
"What's useful is numbers." Erin spoke bluntly as she sat and took some breakfast of her own. "We have them on this team, but I haven't seen a Fish Medal played yet and Skateboard Stinker could very well have it."
"Well… Raul got the clue. He told me as much when I was in an alliance with him and Aaron back on OG Ebisu." Mirai thought to herself. "But he and Aaron were always close."
"And we should all be aware of Monica's medal by now." Erin nodded. "The gossip is travelling fast about the last true Hayaji remaining. Which means we might have to suffer a loss if we're to truly eliminate either of our enemies."
"Not necessarily." Ellie shook her head. "Phooko."
"What about him?" Mirai asked.
"If he publicly joined the opposition." Ellie shrugged. "That would actually solve our problem."
"Explain." Erin rose a brow as Mirai did the same.
"Neither Monica nor Aaron would feel inclined to play a medal if they knew beyond a shadow of doubt that Phooko was voting with them. They're too confident in their abilities to perform in tiebreakers. That means we might not have to sacrifice ourselves, we just vote for one of them and they'll face off against one of us, likely you, Mirai."
"Uh, well, I'd love to kick Aaron's ass in a physical tiebreaker, but he's probably got me beat when it comes to being a smartass."
"The next tiebreaker will be physical though." Ellie winked. "We all just saw the mental tiebreaker that was the Rashi and Zaheen fight."
Confessional: Mirai: Team Ebisu
"Whoa! ELLIE! YOU FUCKING GO! With you, we can totally butt heads with that fucking creep and kick his ass off the island. EASY!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Erin: Team Ebisu
"Did Ellie just pacify Mirai with logic that, I would have thought, would come sooner out of Aaron's mouth? She certainly seems confident right now, too. What the heck has her so happy about our chances? I say we stay on guard until the end here."
End Confessional
Confessional: Ellie: Team Ebisu
"I'm really happy about what I've got going on right now. A nice final 5 alliance, a medal in my pocket, control over Mirai's impulse, and not to mention that even if everything does go wrong and we lose one member over here, Watts could easily recruit Gabriel after he deals with the uh… the rich bitch situation. I don't need to be worried about that team having any sort of immunity medals either because theirs is already gone. All that's left for me to do is maintain the status quo and make sure Ebisu wins the challenges. Hopefully, we can win all three! And hey, I always have my own medal if things go south!"
End Confessional
Location: Lower Ceol Fields
Contestant(s): Alison, Cherry, Gabriel, Gran, Rashi, Watts
"Ugh, why do I even have to be on the same team as you again?" Cherry lamented to Gran as they woke up in their temporary campsite.
"Probably karmic retribution since you're such an irredeemable bitch all the time."
"Listen here, you imbecile!" Cherry snapped. "I might not be 'nice' but I do put the team I'm on first, and you'd consistently hinder us with your constant failures of magic attempts! Wanting to improve upon something you're bad at it is admirable, but only when it doesn't come at the detriment of the team. Hopefully, the people here can finally realize that."
"I think the people here will realize how absolutely insufferable you are and vote you off." Gran shrugged. "Alison sure as hell won't want another flexible woman on the team, and I bet my bottom dollar Rashi will choose me over you if she has to."
"You don't know that though. You don't, and can't know that. You're just one of many people who fail to grasp that."
Confessional: Gran: Team Hayaji
"Ugh, she's such an annoying asshole sometimes! I can't wait until she'll be the next one eliminated. We're at the final 12 and her attitude has only been getting worse! Meanwhile, I've been improving at freaking supersonic speeds! Now, I'm on a team with smart people who will recognize that effort and improvement, and she can kiss the million dollars goodbye!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Cherry: Team Hayaji
"Il est stupide, Gran is. He doesn't understand that his improved performance, now, is a bad thing. The merge is on the horizon. High performers will be targeted, not saved. It's this kind of slow uptake and impulsive thinking that excludes him from my list of potential allies. I have Ellie on the other team. Ostensibly, I have Watts on this one. And while I most certainly would claim fault for most of my arguments with Gran, I am not the one who blows up and gets loud. He is. It's a one way path straight to his elimination. Then, we get rid of the British bitch, because surely her tricks have run their course."
End Confessional
"What are they doing?" Watts groaned as he and Gabriel also woke up. "It's too early for a…*yaawwn* a fight…"
"I'll deal with it." Gabriel stretched before hoisting himself onto his feet. "Hey, Ch-"
"You guys need to keep this under control, sheesh!" Rashi had beaten Gabriel to the punch. "Cherry, Gran, you're both very passionate about this game, and have very different views about how it should be played, but I think you both agree that winning the challenge is better than losing it, right?"
"Ouais." Cherry nodded.
"I mean, yeah, of course." Gran nodded as well.
"Then why are you wasting all your energy arguing with someone you don't even like spending time with. You'd be able to work together during a challenge if it called for it, wouldn't ya?"
"Bien sȗr."
"Duh! Winning requires compromise like that sometimes!"
"Then just give each other time to recharge and prepare for that moment, don't spend your relaxation time getting stressed out! Cherry, the confessional is where you can vent freely! Gran, even if what she says is mean, Cherry does only want you to improve, so don't dismiss her outright! Now then, are you two ready to get to work on camp chores to get them over and done with?"
"Ouais!"
"Yeah!"
"Then let's go!" Rashi pumped a fist into the air and the trio dispersed.
Confessional: Rashi: Team Hayaji
"Make no mistake, home viewers. Watts and Gabriel are nice, and my friends, but they are not my allies. Not in this scenario. Alison is not an ally either, and furthermore, she is an enemy. My sole hope lies in getting Cherry and Gran under my wing so that we can take out the Brit. Any other situation will result in an almost immediate elimination on my part, thanks to that handy boyfriend I have on the other team!"
End Confessional
"Is it over already?" Watts asked Gabriel as he returned.
"Rashi seems to have handled it." Gabriel informed his ally as Watts got himself up.
"Hm…" Watts put a hand to his chin.
"What is it?" Gabriel asked.
"Why did she handle it in the first place? Surely, she must have seen you on your way to do the same thing."
"Well…" Gabriel got a little nervous. "I think we both know I've never been the best at discerning emotions or intent."
Confessional: Watts: Team Hayaji
"At least he's aware of it."
End Confessional
"That's not what I mean though. Logically, a fight between Cherry and Gran is good for Rashi. She has a romantic interest on another team and no official allies on this one. It takes a target off of her back. Solving this dispute though will only further cement her as a social threat."
"Hm…" Gabriel brought a hand up to his own mouth. "But do we need to be worried about it? Surely, she'll target Alison first if she gets both of them on board with her."
"Not sure yet." Watts admitted.
Alison however, who had been listening in on all the conversations going on, was now entirely sure.
Confessional: Alison: Team Hayaji
"THIS! This is it, right here! An opening! MY opening! Thanks to that information I was able to squeeze out of that Vanessa girl, I know exactly what my next course of action should be. I'll play off of those boys' innate senses of insecurity and they're going to eliminate my currently biggest threat on this team for me! Oh man, this team swap could not have come at a better time!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"I'm going to choose to believe in Rashi for now. She's been on our team before and has proven herself a reliable player. If it were entirely up to me, I'd recruit her into the alliance Watts and I have, and then we can assimilate Phooko, who has always struck me as a good soul, into our quartet. Then, assuming we merge at nine like the people who have seen Zero Sum are saying, we can simply bring in Erin for a majority."
End Confessional
Confessional: Watts: Team Hayaji
"This isn't good. If Rashi is planning to make a power move against original Fudo members, we might have to keep Alison around just a bit longer until we've gotten rid of our opposition. In that situation, it would be Rashi and Gran, because for whatever reason Ellie is including Cherry in this five point alliance of hers. Ideally though… a 'little accident' can happen that will give Gabriel the 'in' he needs so that we can be sure Ellie doesn't have complete control."
End Confessional
Location: Neart Highlands
Contestant(s): All Remaining
"Come on in, everyone!" Chris called out as the two teams arrived in the Neart Highlands where they found a rather built but severely blemished young man waiting for them alongside Chris.
"Here to introduce the challenge is-"
"I've got this, Chris." Damon put a hand up in interruption. "This challenge should be as free from your influence as possible."
"Damn, Damon!" Chris chuckled. "Do you really have that little faith in me? I told you I wasn't going to put the animals in harm's way!"
"And yet we still had to personally escort all of them here instead of trusting you and your crew to do it."
"Point taken." Chris moved away.
"Anyways…" Damon turned back to the contestants. "As I'm sure many of you have guessed by now, this challenge is not going to be violent, theoretically, but it is going to be hard."
"And it's going to be, what?" Alison asked. "Training animals to do tricks?"
"Oh, no, that's too on the nose." Damon shook his head. "No, each member of each team will be given a specific, different, animal to find, and will be forced to complete these tasks: find the animal, lead the animal to its designated pen somewhere on the island, furnish the pen with accurate amenities for the animal. The first team to complete these tasks in a satisfactory manner will win immunity and be able to relocate to the Luxury Campsite on the coast of the Lower Ceol Fields. The team that either completes these tasks last or makes it impossible to complete these tasks first will face the Tine Naofa Bonfire, and regrettably, will have to send someone home."
"Regrettably, my ass." Mirai muttered under her breath as she looked over to where Aaron was gathering the team to strategize.
"Keep it calm…" Ellie whispered her warning to Mirai.
Challenge: Friends with Fur or Fang
Rules: Each player of each team has been assigned an animal that they are responsible for finding, leading to a designated pen, and decorating the pen of. They must use accurate decor for the animal pen. The team that completes the tasks the quickest wins immunity and gets to stay at the Luxury Campsite. The team that loses will attend the Tine Naofa Bonfire Elimination Ceremony where they will vote someone out of this game.
Assigned Animals:
Hayaji
Alison: Bengal Tiger (Head to Cailleach Bog)
Cherry: Cheetah (Head to Upper Ceol Fields)
Gabriel: Grizzly Bear (Head to Cloc Mountain Range)
Gran: Wedge-tailed Eagle (Head to Neart Highlands)
Rashi: Wolverine (Head to Glas Woods)
Watts: Desert Coyote (Head to Ionad Desert)
Ebisu
Aaron: Gray Wolf (Head to Glas Woods)
Ellie: Red-tail Hawk (Head to Ionad Desert)
Erin: Hyena (Head to Upper Ceol Fields)
Mirai: American Alligator (Head to Cailleach Bog)
Monica: Puma (Head to Cloc Mountain Range)
Phooko: Tasmanian Devil (Head to Neart Highlands)
Location: Glas Woods
Contestant(s): Aaron, Alison, Rashi
"Come on, wolfy… just a little more…" Aaron was struggling to lead his wolf towards its pen. "Once you get there I can easily find the things you'll need…"
Confessional: Aaron: Team Ebisu
"So there I was, doing my challenge, when I saw a sight so bewildering I couldn't help but rush here to comment on it. A woman carrying a wolverine like it was her child!"
End Confessional
Aaron gasped to himself as he noticed Rashi strolling along with a wild wolverine in her arms like it was no big deal. "I suppose I should have expected this of the nature girl." He revealed himself to Rashi. 'Don't suppose you'd mind helping out another OG Ebisu?'
'I'd prefer to just win the challenge," Rashi smirked, "but since I have a target and some allies, I don't mind helping out someone on the opposing team just this once."
Confessional: Rashi: Team Hayaji
"It's all about networking now that the cast is down to half, and I need to make sure no one votes off Phooko over on that team. We need to reunite during the merge after all. So yeah, he can get my help for this one challenge. Foster a little bit of goodwill now and it can come in handy later."
End Confessional
"Here is how you lead a wild animal…" Rashi demonstrated to Aaron as she started herding the wolf toward its designated pen.
"You really do know your stuff." Aaron chuckled.
The pair heard a snapping of twigs nearby as muffled footsteps rushed away from them.
"Oh, it appears there was a fly on the wall for this conversation." Aaron continued to chuckle.
Confessional: Aaron: Team Ebisu
"How amusing! She still hasn't given up yet, it seems. That tenacity is admirable, but keeping her around is a lost cause. For me anyways."
End Confessional
Alison rushed through the forest, certain that even if she had been heard, no one had physically seen her. That was something she could use. There was no proof. She had it though. She had caught Rashi aiding the enemy team red-handed, not to mention confirming her plan with Gran and Cherry.
Confessional: Alison: Team Hayaji
"Oh, that savage nature girl is about to sooo get her head handed to her! Now that I have the information I do need, I should also make sure the other team doesn't get too chummy with each other. Wouldn't want to lose twice in a row after all."
End Confessional
Location: Ionad Desert
Contestant(s): Ellie, Watts
"How do you have a bird on your arm?" Watts stared at Ellie in awe as he searched in vain for a coyote that was blending in with the sand.
"Because~" Ellie turned to show Watts that she'd used some dirt around the island to disguise her arm as a natural branch for the hawk to land on. "I'm pretty good with costumes." She smiled. "Need some help? Easier on our alliance if my team loses since it's got more of a chance to survive."
"But let me guess, you aren't going to be throwing it either." Watts snickered.
"No way!" Ellie laughed. "Why would I throw a challenge I'm good at? No, I'm only offering you help, and it looks like you need it too, since you still haven't noticed that the coyote is right behind you."
"It is?!" Watts turned to finally see it shifting through the dunes. "Ahhh, I see, sneaky little bugger."
Confessional: Watts: Team Hayaji
"I suppose it's a good thing that Ellie and I found each other during this challenge, because it gives me the opportunity to voice my uh… concerns… about her choice of allying with Cherry."
End Confessional
Confessional: Ellie: Team Ebisu
"As soon as Watts took a breath after we got his coyote in its pen, I knew exactly what he was going to say. It doesn't really take that much thought if I'm being honest. Cherry has a strong personality like that. Of course, this is my alliance and I need him to realize that as long as I hold my idol, I am in charge here."
End Confessional
"Are you sure keeping Cherry around is a good idea?" Watts, as Ellie had predicted he would.
"Yes, I am." Ellie responded matter of factly. "Cherry is prickly and can't control her mouth sometimes, but she's loyal to me, and has been from the start of the show. She also isn't that bad if you learn to take what she says with a grain of salt. If anything, Watts, I'm worried about your choice of ally in Mirai. That girl is a ticking time bomb of emotions that are going to screw us over if we aren't careful."
"I uh…" Watts chuckled nervously. "I didn't realize things had gotten that bad over there."
"And they'll get worse if she doesn't keep it together. She's already got half the team voting for her. All it takes is one push too far for Erin or I to want to vote her off as well. If we lose, we'll try to get rid of Aaron before that happens, but if you lose, you need to get rid of Alison. Mirai needs to know that people are there for her right now, and the longer both Alison and Aaron stay in the game, the less sure of it she's going to be."
Confessional: Watts: Team Hayaji
"You know, Ellie. I'd love to get rid of Alison next, but it's unfortunately not that simple at the moment! We have Rashi coming up on an anti-Fudo movement if I don't do something and that might not only result in Gabriel's elimination but also my elimination!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Ellie: Team Ebisu
"Let me guess, Watts probably vented about how things weren't that simple. No, you dummy, they are that simple. You're thinking like a game-bot! You need to think like a person, and that means being a little irrational or emotional once in a while. Make some more personal connections if you're worried. Don't approach people with talk of strategies! Just talk to them about life and stuff!"

Location: Cailleach Bog
Contestant(s): Alison, Mirai, Phooko
Phooko gasped as he stumbled across what sounded like two wounded animals fighting each other in the bog, only to see Alison and Mirai wrestling in the swampwater.
Nearby, an alligator rested, seemingly not caring about what was going on. A tiger was watching intently from its pen.
"This is for last time!" Alison shrieked as she was the one pulling on Mirai's hair now. "What goes around fucking comes around you daft *BLEEP*!"
"Don't act like you're the fucking victim here, you stupid *BEEP*!" Mirai shouted back as she kicked and punched and tumbled through the bog with Alison, getting both of themselves absolutely covered in muck.
"Gyah!" Alison called. "Stop hitting me like that and let me torture you already!"
"Fucking no way!" Mirai called back. "If anyone's getting tortured today, I'll make sure that it's fucking you on that rack!"
"A better rack than you'll ever have!"
"That's not even a good insult when mine is better than yours you British bimbo!"
Confessional: Mirai: Team Ebisu
"Ugh! She's such a fucking pain in my ass right now, and I want to deal with her too, since she definitely egged Aaron into their little fling, at least a bit, and now she has the fucking gall to come to me like somehow I have ruined the game for her? Uh, NO BITCH! You ruined my game! And now you have to go fucking DOWN! I can't wait to see you being sent home tonight!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Alison: Team Ebisu
"Ewwww… " Alison gets all the grime off of her body. "But it's worth it. It's worth it to see Mirai have that massive tantrum, and even more worth it that a certain someone happened to see it all unfold. Without context, we both look unstable and unworthy of keeping around. But he's not going to go back to my team, now is he? No, he's going to his team. Hopefully, they lose and I can cultivate some more goodwill, but if we lose instead, at least I have my easy target in Rashi."
End Confessional
Confessional: Phooko: Team Ebisu
"Oh geez, that was scary to watch. I'm surprised the alligator and tiger were both chill with it though. Maybe because they're wild animals, I guess. Must be used to seeing fights all the time in nature. Either way though, this confirms what Monica has told me. Mirai is no longer a reliable force to have on your side. She's just too emotionally unfit to keep playing as along as both Alison and Aaron remain in this game."

Contestant(s): Cherry, Erin
"Oh, you are the nerd's new girlfriend, yes?" Cherry asked as she noticed Erin already busy decorating her hyena's pen with various equipment. "Could you perhaps remind him when you get the chance, that I am, in fact, part of this alliance of ours as well?"
"Sure, when I get the chance, I'll get that fact through his surprisingly thick skull. Sorry you have to deal with him for a while."
"How are things over on that team anyways?" Cherry asked, with nothing better to do as they both went about decorating their pens.
"Could be better. Mirai is losing her shit at regular intervals, and it's getting on our last nerves. Although, if I could offer some advice to you specifically… "
"Oh, this should be a gem." Cherry smirked as she crossed her arms and rested against her cheetah's pen. "What advice?"
"Ellie is a wonderful, and kind, and smart girl." Erin smiled at Cherry. "An amazing ally to have to be sure, but also a very, very dangerous one. Mark my words, the two of you getting to the end? Everyone's support is going in Ellie's direction. Cut ties with her before it ruins you."
"Ha!" Cherry let out a singular, loud, laugh. "I suppose from where you're standing, you wouldn't see anything wrong with what you're saying, but how goes your saying? Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones?"
"What do you mean by that?" Erin furrowed her brow.
"I mean you are in a similar situation!" Cherry pointed. "Your boyfriend's game differs from Ellie's only slightly, and when he brings you to the final 2 with him, it will not be the woman behind the man the eliminated players will focus on, it will be your boyfriend who earns the million dollars."
"There's no way to p-prove that!" Erin couldn't stop her face from going red as Cherry kept repeating the word 'boyfriend' over and over.
"Oh? Still nervous about this new love of yours?"
"I'm not nervous!" Erin denied.
Confessional: Cherry
"Not nervous, my foot! What was the term that nerd I like would use? Tsundere? Seriously, bottling up those feelings will only serve to turn her into another Mirai if she doesn't act on them. That's why I'm always sure to say exactly what I want to say to people. Helps get the points across, even if they can't handle the brutal truth sometimes."
End Confessional
Confessional: Erin
"Look, I kind of, sort of, maaaaybe might miss that idiot, but I need to test that hypothesis first you see, and then conduct experiments. I just need to be scientifically sure is what I'm saying. Once I am, it doesn't really matter when that is, I'll go up to him and tell him about my findings. It's not like he's going anywhere anytime soon, after all."

Location: Cloc Mountain Range
Contestant(s): Gabriel, Monica
"There we go!" Monica grunted as she placed a rock for sun basking in her puma's pen. Meanwhile, Gabriel had finished setting up his grizzly bear's makeshift cave.
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"I've modeled it off of the cave bear's cave! And boy am I glad we didn't have to run into that freaking monstrosity for this challenge."
End Confessional
Confessional: Monica: Team Ebisu
"It was just… it was so quiet and awkward, I needed to make some small talk. Plus, Gabriel always struck me as the gullible type, so I decided to try my luck and see if I could pry some useful information out of him."
End Confessional
"You know, Gabriel." Monica mentioned. "I've been keeping some tabs on you pretty much since the game began, and, I need to say, I really respect your leadership skills."
"Oh, why thank you!" Gabriel smiled. "I tend to model them after my father, and he is a politician so I guess some of his work might have rubbed off on me."
"Perhaps." Monica smiled. "Perhaps on me as well somehow then. After all, I feel like you and I have similar styles. I'm like a… hm… a female version of you, or at least out of everyone in this remaining cast I am."
"Yeah, no, you aren't a female me." Gabriel shook his head. "I just want people to be able to put their faith in me, but you're what I think most people would agree is 'power hungry.' You'll do anything to get more of it."
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"I don't know how many times I might have been taken advantage of before I was made aware of my role as a pawn in these villains' chess games, but now that I have been made aware of the game before me, I intend to be a player and not a piece. And for that to work, I will not let any villainous contestant butter me up ever again. I'm a person who learns from his mistakes."
End Confessional
"Hm, I can understand why you'd think that." Monica admitted to Gabriel. "But I am cut from a different cloth than villains you might have already dealt with. My goal is not to harm, but to heal, and I am effective. I am quick-witted and not bound by any oaths to other players in this game. The only oath I am bound by is the one that I would compete on behalf of my dying town to help revitilize its economy. If you were the mayor of that town, Gabriel, you would be playing exactly my game."
Gabriel was about to respond when Monica stopped him to correct herself.
"Actually, now that I think about it, if you were mayor of that town, Gabriel, you likely wouldn't have the time to come onto a reality TV show. That's an advantage that I, as a student, have that my town's mayor simply doesn't. Even if I don't win, my goal is to last as long as possible to get the word out there. Donations can be started. I don't need to win to fulfill my goal, but I do need to win to be sure I fulfill my goal, and you, at the very least, should understand my plans given that context."
Confessional: Monica: Team Ebisu
"What an interesting player Gabriel has become for me who has been keeping tabs on everyone naturally. I knew I'd need to the second Hayaji lost for the second time in a row. He's very, very straight and narrow in terms of morality. I don't think he realizes some people might play the game in a vastly different way than they'd act in society. After all, there is no million dollar prize for voting people out in regularly society."
End Confessional
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"Monica raises some valid points about her situation, but the fact remains the same, I still wouldn't play a villainous game. It might be seen as somewhat childish to want to play a good aligned game no matter what the situation. I'm sure Monica believes that her strategy will win her the money, but I believe in my strategy as well. One built on respect, listening, and accurate delegation between you and your peers. She and I are on opposing sides for good it seems, but after this talk, I'm certainly willing to afford her respect for laying out her beliefs in good faith. That respect is all she's going to get from me though. I have no intention of lending anyone my vote. Ever."

Contestant(s): Gran, Phooko
"Where the hell have you been, dude?" Gran asked as he noticed Phooko finally bringing his Tazmanian devil to its pen. He was covered in scratches and bite marks, and was wobbling back and forth, but he was able to shake himself awake as he saw Gran's predicament.
The wedge-tailed eagle flew in circles all around Gran, and refused to let him catch it.
Phooko looked over and saw that Gran's pen was already perfectly decorated, he was just having bad luck in terms of catching his bird.
"Oof, that's rough, man." Phooko shook his head. "Anyways, you are never going to believe what I just fucking saw…"
Confessional: Phooko: Team Ebisu
"I had my reservations about Gran, but he never once voted against me or Rashi. In fact, it's thanks to his vote for Cherry that Rashi managed to get that tiebreaker win in the first place. He could have easily sent us home, but he never did. So, I decided I'd trust him this time. I told him about Alison and Mirai's fight in the swamp."
End Confessional
"Hrm…" Gran thought to himself as he heard Phooko's story. He opened his eyes. "Are you 100% sure that voting for Mirai is the best play?" He asked. "However unlikely the odds, there is an unaccounted medal when it comes to Ebisu. There is also an unaccounted medal when it comes to Inari. Monica clearly has her own medal. There is, however, one person who you could vote off, which would not only guarantee no medal be played, but would also separate a powerful couple."
"You don't mean-!" Phooko gasped.
"It'd be optimal, for you at least." Gran shrugged.
"I don't know about it, man… she hasn't really done anything wrong so-"
"Oh, fuck off with that indecisive shit!" Gran snapped. "Phooko, you're surrounded by enemies on that team! You, me, Mirai, Rashi, final 4, alright? In order for us to even get there, everyone I didn't mention needs to be eliminated. If you're really worried about Mirai find people who want to eliminate Erin instead! She is the only one there without any wildcards to play! End Confessional!"
"But… we aren't in a confessional…" Phooko pointed out.
"Well, I was angry and vented at you, sue me! But only after you stop making it seem like this is a hard decision!"
"Well then…" Phooko gritted his teeth as he placed his final decoration into place. "I hope you have your own plan for who is going home!"
"Of course I have a-" Gran retaliated to see Phooko finish his pen and signal to Damon, who was nearby.
Damon came to inspect it.
"Everything looks in order… and that's a wrap on this challenge! Congratulatios Ebisu! You've won it!"
"AND THAT'S A WRAP ON THIS CHALLENGE!" Chris announced from a chopper, copying Damon. "CONGRATULATIONS EBISU! YOU'VE WON IT! FEEL FREE TO HEAD TO THE LUXURY CAMPSITE IN LOWER CEOL FIELDS! HAYAJI, YOU'LL BE HEADED TO THE LOSER CAMPSITE IN GLAS WOODS! HOPE YOU KNOW WHO YOU'LL BE VOTING OFF AHAHUHH!"
Confessional: Gran: Team Hayaji
"Aggh! Island gods dammit! Why couldn't that bird just fucking land?!"
End Confessional
Confessional: Phooko: Team Ebisu
"Well, at the very least, this spares me from having to eliminate either Mirai or Erin. But I'd really much rather just this team win all the challenges rather than let its nearly non-existent harmony become truly non-existent."

Contestant(s): Alison, Cherry, Gabriel, Gran, Rashi, Watts
"She was what?!" Cherry asked, outraged.
"You heard me!" Alison mentioned as she confronted everyone openly. "She was aiding the opposing team!"
"From what I hear, you weren't much better." Gran crossed his arms. "Tackling Mirai in the swamp? Really?"
"Well, if your source had any sense they would have also told you that the tiger was already in its pen. I was just keeping her away from her alligator. Not my fault that dumb bitch is crazy."
"She can say whatever she wants about me, I don't care." Rashi shrugged. "Fine, yes, I helped okay? I just wanted to make sure all the animals got into their pens properly and without incident."
"No, you helped because of old Ebisu ties." Alison shot right through Rashi's defense. "That means you'll just go back to the three other Ebisu members on the other team when we merge. We can't allow that."
"I…" Cherry scanned the other members of the team. "Would like to know who else might have helped the other team pull ahead of us."
Her eyes settled on Watts. "Well, nerd? Care to share your insights? Awfully quiet today."
Watts was shocked out of his thoughts on his talk with Ellie. "Huh? Oh u-uh… yeah, helping the other team is definitely a no-go." Watts agreed. "I think maybe Gabriel should take this one though."
"M-me?" Gabriel responded, a little confused, before rolling with it. "Alright…"
Confessional: Alison: Team Hayaji
"Oooh, it looks like James has finally fucking pieced together that holing himself up in that cabin got him some plays, but not a lot of social points. He's late to this party. Meanwhile, I'm the one showing up with the fucking booze."
End Confessional
"Normally, I'd take Rashi's side in all of this and say innocent until proven guilty. Aiding another team towards victory before we ourselves are immune could be considered sabotaging our chances as well as look really close to conspiracy. All standard grounds for elimination."
"But I've already plead guilty, so you're just going to vote for me?"
"I never said I'd vote for you." Gabriel shook his head. "But assuming you do survive the vote, I'm putting restrictions in place."
He turned to Alison. "And that goes for you too."
"Ugh…" Alison rolled her eyes. "Okaaaaaay."
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"Whichever of these girls survives, she's not to leave another team member's side for every challenge until the merge. The team members will rotate every so often too. Can't give either of them enough time to figure out how to poke the right buttons."
End Confessional
"Hayaji!" Chris called as he zoomed by on an ATV. "You, me, Tine Naofa, a nice night under the stars! You guys ready?"
Confessional: Rashi: Team Hayaji
"Alright Alison, your attempt to discredit me is exactly the kind of BS you'd try to pull, but I won't be brought down that easily!"

Tine Naofa Bonfire Elimination Ceremony
Contestant(s): Alison, Cherry, Gabriel, Gran, Rashi, Watts
"Welcome final Hayaji iteration..." Chris grinned as Alison, Cherry, Gabriel, Gran, Rashi, and Watts all took their seats around the bonfire. "To the Final 12 elimination ceremony. A lot to unpack here, so let's start with Alison. Thoughts on the new team?"
"Oh, this new team is by far the inferior team. We have myself and Gabriel, and that's where the usefulness ends."
"Listen to you act like I didn't kick your ass in that dance challenge." Cherry snickered.
"Or that Watts didn't totally toss you like garbage back during last week's confrontation." Gabriel mentioned.
"Gabey~" Alison pouted. "What the fuck~? I said you were useful~!"
She quickly turned back to Chris. "Anyways, McLean, the ultimate loser tonight is that one." Alison pointed to Rashi. "She actively helped the other team, and perhaps it cost us the challenge."
"I was having trouble getting my bird to come to me." Gran nodded. "From what I understood, Rashi's help consisted of showing Aaron how to get his wolf to come to him. We definitely would have benefitted from that help more."
"Watts!" Chris turned to Watts. "You've seen Zero Sum?"
"Huge fan." Watts nodded.
"Then you know that the team who won the 12 left immunity challenge also won the next two."
"Yes, but we are not the losing team from that season, nor is Ebisu the winning team from that season." Watts responded. "And I, for one, refuse to let us cannibalize ourselves the way our predacessors did."
"An excellent sentiment." Gabriel chimed in. "I may not know much of the past, we can learn from more than just our own mistakes."
"Well, let's hope you guys all learn from the mistakes you've made this week." Chris snickered. "It is time to vote. Gabriel, you're up first."
Confessional: Gabriel: Team Hayaji
"I learn from my mistakes." Good job, Gabriel. You said it threeee times.
End Confessional
After Gabriel came back, Cherry was sent up.
Confessional: Cherry: Team Hayaji
"It is possible for there to be too much of a good thing. I hope you take that lesson from this."
End Confessional
After Cherry, it was Gran.
Confessional: Gran: Team Hayaji
"If Cherry wants the team to be effective like you say Rashi, then the team needs to actually be effective. Sorry. Argh, and now I look like a complete asswipe after telling Phooko I'd bring you to the final four! But helping the other team? Come on, that's just not cool."
End Confessional
As Gran sat back down, Rashi made her way up.
Confessional: Rashi: Team Hayaji
"Alright, Alison, let's be real here. You know you're sorry British butt is going home, so you're throwing anyone you can under the bus. You just happened to land on me. Well, I've landed on you, bitch. What a coincidence!"
End Confessional
As Rashi came back, it was Alison's turn.
Confessional: Alison: Team Hayaji
"Alright you freak of nature, it's time for you to take a fucking hike. Forever, ideally."
End Confessional
Finally, Watts was sent up. He spent a long time at the confessional, wracking his head around everything.
Confessional: Watts: Team Hayaji
"Even as I write this down, I'm not sure I'm making the correct choice, but it feels like a good move to make, given the circumstance, It might need to be my last strategic play for a while though. Ellie is right. I need to make more genuine connections. I have Gabriel and Erin and that's it. It's more than some people, but it's not enough. Hopefully your departure can create those openings."
End Confessional
"Alright." Chris returned after a quick tally of the votes. "I have the votes here, and I have five medals. If I call your name, come up and receive a medal. If you do not receive a medal, you must immediately enter the Tomb of Shame, and give up any hope of winning money off of this competition. Now then… if anyone has a hidden immunity medal and would like to play it, now would be the time."
No one stirred.
After all, no one had anything to play.
"Alright then…" Chris grinned. "Our first medals go to…
Gabriel,
Cherry,
and Gran."
Gabriel, Cherry, and Gran all walked up and received their medals.
"Our next medal goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
… Watts." Chris smiled after a torturous pause.
Rashi and Alison were not surprised at the development.
They had both expected this.
"Ladies…" Chris held up the last medal. "This is the final medal of the night…
…
… and it goes to…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…
…

…

…
… Alison." Chris tossed Alison her final medal.
"As expected after the stunt you pulled." Alison smirked. "I mean, helping another team during a challenge? What were you thinking?"
"I was thinking that people would see the logic in getting rid of you first." Rashi stood up from her seat, hand empty of any medal. "And I was confident I had a coalition to get rid of you."
"If it's any consolation, Rashi." Chris smiled. "The vote was not a unanimous one. Someone did vote for Alison with you."
"Well then, at least one of you knew what the better move was." Rashi sighed. "Oh well. Tell Phooko to fight hard, I guess."
And with that, Rashi disappeared into the Tomb of Shame.
Confessional: Alison: Team Hayaji
"That's passing strange… I could have sworn I laid the groundwork for a unanimous vote… hmmm…"
End Confessional
"And that's a wrap on the Final 12!" Chris announced into the camera. "And the beginning of the Final 11! Will Team Hayaji be able to recover from their loss? Will Phooko ever pick a side in this fight? And what challenge does our next guest have in store for our players? Find out… next time!
On Total!
Drama!
Niiiiialasach!"
*Rashi's Final Confessional:
"Well, that wasn't the ending I was hoping for, but in retrospect, I did see that the salmon had laid their eggs today, and that's definitely a death omen. Too bad it was meant for me and not the British nuissance that is Alison. Really hope whoever voted for her keeps the heat on her. If Phooko can't win, I want it to be you, mystery ally!"

The Votes for those who are curious
Alison voted for… Rashi
Cherry voted for… Rashi
Gabriel voted for… Alison
Gran voted for… Rashi
Rashi voted for… Alison
Watts voted for… Rashi
AN: Time to talk about Rashi.
She was definitely more of a comic character than a dynamic one, though she did get a little more dynamic towards the end of her time on the show. I don't have too much to say about her. Her druidic fortune telling gimmick was a nice play on the common animal powers trope, I feel. I also really enjoyed the energy she brought to the teams she was on. Overall, she was a rather positive force that just made the overall story more entertaining.
For those wondering, Rashi's alignment was True Neutral
Rashi will be back for the finale! Can her druidic predictions save the day? Tune in to find out!
Having studied her actions throughout the season, Rashi receives the status of: Neutral
I'd like to say she was a hero, but ultimately other than just a general dislike of Alison, she didn't really oppose the villains all that often. Like even this episode she helped Aaron. She's definitely not a villain herself, but I don't know if I'd give her 'hero' status. So a Neutral she gets, though she is more positive than most neutrals I tend to write. She can be proud there I suppose.
Rashi's best moment: Probably the instruction in how to milk a goat. It was out there, but it was a positive moment that really highlighted both her knowledge of animals, and her generally more selfless nature.
But that's all just my opinion, what do you guys think?
Peter's challenge is coming up next! What do you guys think it will be?
AN2: Discord thing. Profile is where the link is.
EN: Peter's challenge will be a fedora ring toss where you take a fedora, throw it like a frisbee and try to get it onto a ring toss thing. Now that's a challenge.
AN3: And as always, thanks for reading!
