Kida giggled softly, "Yep. And if our baby's anything like us, they will know that you're the greatest man in their life like I do...I love you, Milo. We can wait to get married after everything settles down within a week, alright?".

Milo nodded, "That's very fair as I have a funny feeling that my grandfather wants to be sure of proposing to Opa before most of the crew leaves.", as he knows the society stuff of same gender free love now thanks to Kida's memories.

Kida exhaled deeply, "He must be feeling like he's dreaming of that moment he thought he lost Erskine...I may have been The Heart, but I remember seeing it...I really felt horrible when I saw you crying out for him when that happened and then that heartbreaking scream...".

"It really felt like for a brief moment that I just basically lost all those I was close to... thinking that my grandfather was still long gone, losing you and then Opa so quickly... of course then finding out that Grandfather was still alive...", Milo sighed as Kida smiled.

"At least it's all worked out for the best... we managed to stop Rourke and his allies, and we're all safe now... plus...", Kida slowly ran a finger along his chest. "You certainly got a bit of an upgrade...", she teased.

Milo looked at her with a smile, "It's strange, but I feel like I'm able to protect Atlantis better than before, and be myself at the same time, and even if Rourke betrayed us, there was two things he technically did despite his knowledge; his support into the society circles around the President, to say that Mr. Whitmore and Grandfather deserved to know that Atlantis is real or just a myth for the first point, and then of course, giving the karma at him after he sliced me in the arm...He was really shocked when he saw me the next minute after the whole painless change. If it wasn't for him technically, I wouldn't have been like this...maybe still have saved you and all, but he was a bully...".

Kida replied, "And now, Rourke and his allies are in hell, and the volcano made sure to keep us safe, even if it was accidentally on purpose.", with a smile, and Milo chuckled, "Fate is a funny thing...", before caressing her side, "You know, I was wrong before...I thought you'd be more beautiful with our baby in tow, but it's the wrong description...You are gorgeous, Kida...And I love you...".

"Milo...", Kida moaned softly, looking at him with desire, "I'm still sore from our first time and the whole Crystal thing, but it doesn't mean that you can't pleasure me...", with a smile.

Milo smiled warmly, "Well, then, let's have some tender, slow pleasure time, to help you get some sleep...", moving in to kiss her deeply and passionately as Kida moaned from his increasingly pleasurable touch, wrapping her arms around him, happy to explore his new body.

Some hours later, in Erskine and Thaddeus' bedroom, Erskine woke up, yawning, smiling as he noticed Thaddeus's arms loosely around him, and having the need to use the bathroom, he started to move, leaving the bed when Thaddeus's arms tightened around him, pulling himself into Thaddeus's body, who is whispering, "Don't go, Abram, please...".

Erskine turned his head around to face Thaddeus, "Tad, I'm not leaving the room, I just need to take a leak, and-", before freezing in concern to see redness and signs of dry tears in Thaddeus's eyes, "Tad...Thaddeus, you look terrible...Please don't tell me that you stayed awake all night to watch me...I'm fine...Sia healed me and I'm alive...", as even if he got healed and all, Sia was firm that Erskine needed more rest than anyone else as he's an elder.

"I'm sorry...", Thaddeus admitted. "I couldn't bring myself to sleep really... I was worried that you might just go to sleep and not wake up... that no matter what he did, it might have been too much like it was for the king...".

Erskine reached out to caress Thaddeus' cheek, "Oh, Tad...", as he leaned in to kiss him tenderly on the lips, "I'm right here. I love you so much...I'm real, I promise..", taking his hand with his other hand, to rest on Erskine's heart through his chest, "Feel that, Thaddeus? I'm not leaving this life as I have a say to do about it. Do you dare doubt it?", looking at him intensely deep.

"No, of course not... just... it was old worries; especially just seeing you fall like that...", Thaddeus sighed. "I know... I really thought for a few moments that I had been shot... the pain was terrible...", Erskine replied.

Thaddeus whispered, "I really thought I lost you...My heart went into pieces...", fresh tears falling down his cheeks, and Erskine moved his hand to wipe his lover's tears away, "I know...I heard you, Thaddeus...It's something I wouldn't forget ever again...".

"I love you so damning much, Abraham...It was when I realized that I cannot live without you...Marry me, Abram...", Thaddeus replied sharply at first before exhaling, whispering as he looked at Erskine lovingly and longingly.

"Oh, Tad...", Erskine whispered as he leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the lips as they held each other close. "Yes... I would be more than happy to marry you...".

Thaddeus looked like the sun rose on him, smiling happily, as he nuzzled into Erskine's neck, and they stayed like that for a few minutes before Erskine chuckled, "I'd love to stay in your arms forever, Tad, but I have to take a leak.", and Thaddeus smiled sheepishly, blushing, "Oops, sorry, Abram.", letting go of him so he can do his business.

This day was a day of grievance, remembrance, stories, and comfort as the King's preserved body rested in a clearing near the edges of the city, with all the city able to visit, with a well-crafted raft with Atlantean carvings to tell the story of the King's life supporting his body as all citizens spoke their final words, including Thaddeus and Erskine, as Milo, with Kida at his side, declared that Vinny, Jacques, Thaddeus, and Erskine are now and forever established citizens of Atlantis, with the rest of the crew esteemed visitors in honor until they decide to come back and settle down or stay on the surface.

With the King's body to witness it all, Kida bestowed all crystal necklaces to all the crew, and finally, it was due time to give farewells to the King, with all the citizens giving little gifts into the raft, bidding him farewell.

Erskine and Thaddeus gave the King their old religion necklaces as they are starting anew, and Jacques gave the King an old picture of Paris, and when Sia asked why, he thought the King would appreciate a glimpse of how the surface can be beautiful despite the war.

Upon a brief talk, Thaddeus was fine with Milo gifting the family safari hat to the King, as Milo explained that he thought the King would appreciate a sense of adventure while he goes to the afterlife.

Finally, it was the princesses' turn...Grieving yet still standing strong, Sia went first as she was the youngest, and she stepped forward to give her farewell words and gift, while resting her hands as she will have to push the first portion of the raft slightly into the water, to hang on for Kida's turn, and after the raft goes some way in the lake, they and the closest ones to the King will have to shoot flaming arrows to start the pyre cremation.

Speaking in Atlantean, Sia spoke, "May you go peacefully with the spirits of our ancestors, my King...I shall never forget you...I love you, Father...And my gift is not physical yet, but I will give my gift meaning, and with your memory, they shall be named in honor of you, Kashekim Nedakh...", stroking her belly subconsciously, knowing that she will have to wait and see if she fell pregnant or not, while looking at her father one last time, before pushing the raft slightly, gently brushing her father's staff, and then walked back, tears streaming down her cheeks as she came into Jacques' embrace.

"That was beautiful, Sia...", Jacques whispered to her as she nodded. "Was kind of thinking of that for a few centuries, I'll admit. Father was getting up there in his age and all, and with how the ruins continued to grow...", Sia sighed. "Sorry, it's... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ever really thought of that.".

Jacques whispered, "Don't be...I'm sure he understands...", as Milo squeezed Kida's hand gently before she left him, walking forward, and Kida bowed her head as she rested her hands on the edge of the raft, speaking in Atlantean, "May you go peacefully with the spirits of our ancestors, my King. I will never forget you...I love you, Father...I promise I'll look after our home, and my gift is for you to share with Mother, so you can always be together with her...", placing a small sapling from the intertwined tree islet.

"Farewell, Kashekim Nedakh...You were a good king despite many mistakes, and our people will never forget that...", Kida whispered with tears falling down her cheeks as she pushed the rest of the raft into the drifting waters of the lake, and returned back as she stroked her baby bump, feeling strong fluttering as if the baby is feeling sad too.

After a few minutes of seeing the raft past the tide, a warrior gifted a torch to Milo, Kida, Sia, Jacques, Erskine and Thaddeus's arrows, and with deep breaths, the group launch the flying flaming arrows to the raft as the city watched.

The raft caught fire and similar to a Viking funeral; they all watched as the fires consumed the raft as it slowly floated away. Kida took a very deep breath as she turned to Milo and just wanted to be held in his arms at that moment.

Milo wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her back as Kida cried and sobbed quietly, as the citizens of Atlantis slowly started to sing before they become as one, becoming a solemn song that echoed throughout the city for a few long minutes, as the raft disappeared into the dark fog and darkness, with the faint light of the flames flickering.

The city slowly dispersed off to resume their meals, nightly jobs, and bedtime for the children, as the crew left, murmuring with glances at the main group, feeling for the princesses.

Vinny looked at Sia, "Sia...are the spirits of the gifts going with him?", and Sia nodded softly, "They are, and he's going to share them with the ancestors of our past here...Your gift to him will be treasured in the heavens.", as Vinny had placed a nightglow flower on the raft.

"That's good...Can...can you tell me a story about him when I go to bed? I understand if you don't want to, if I'm hurting your feelings, and-", Vinny asked quietly before Sia gently stroked his cheek, "Sweetheart, you don't have to ask. I can do that, and Father would really appreciate that...", with a soft smile.

Vinny nodded, and the trio left, heading back to the palace, while Erskine glanced to Thaddeus who replied, "You sure? This may be still raw for her...", and Erskine sighed deeply, "I want all the crew to see us getting married before they leave...They're our friends, after all...".

Thaddeus nodded, "Okay...But we have to be gentle, Abram...", and Erskine nodded before they approached Milo and Kida, who noticed them, and Erskine took a deep breath, "Your Majesty, I have accepted Thaddeus's proposal, and we do hope it'd not be too much fuss if we can get married tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, before our friends leave on the planned day.".

"Opa, you know you don't have to be all 'follow staunch royal code'.", Milo chuckled as Erskine blushed. "But of course, that being said...". He looked to Kida. "What do you think?", he asked as Kida smiled, "You, more than willing, have our blessing, you two. After all, you played a great role in saving Atlantis too... and certainly must have given Father a few last good conversations before the end.".

Thaddeus smiled, "Thank you, Princess Kida...And he really loved you and Sia so much. He practically couldn't let a sentence go without mentioning you and Sia.", and Kida sniffled, smiling, "That sounded like him...And as it's an important wedding, I'd be glad to announce the news for you two to be married in the day after tomorrow. I hope you understand but tomorrow, the city would need to relax after such a grievous day today...".

Erskine nodded, "That's more than fair, Princess Kida. I suppose it's like Sunday on the surface in a way.", and Milo replied, "More or less, Opa...And Grandpa, I know you too well. You don't have to ask. I'll be honored to be your best man after I guide Opa down the aisle. You two would have to know that the wedding would be more of a Atlantean fashion and such.", with a nod and smile.

"I think we'd much rather have it that way... we obviously aren't returning to the surface.", Erskine said as Milo nodded. "Of course, we'll have to think of quite a lot in regard to those that return.".

"Obviously, the President will have to be told the truth, for the most part. Washington probably won't be too happy with how things turned out for the most part but at least we certainly made sure the Nazis couldn't beat us here.", Thaddeus added.

Milo nodded, "Yep. I'm sure Jacques will figure it out with the others. But for now, let's head back to the palace...You must be tired and hungry, Kida.", and Kida nodded, "Oh, I am...The baby is really trying to cheer me up by trying to kick, but they're too small yet.", with a soft chuckle as she stroked her baby bump, feeling flutters.

The others laughed warmly, and so, they went on to have dinner, with playful, silly stories about King Kashekim Nedakh, who shall not be forgotten.

The next day was full of relaxation and exploration, with people just spending time with their families and such, and of course, they became gossipers when the news was announced for the wedding of two of their heroes, with the afternoon where they were being fitted for their wedding clothes and learned the vows, planning to say them in English, but keeping the Atlantean flair.

Excitement came to the new day, as it was rather a beautiful day, with all the citizens in their best clothes, as they went to the center of the city, with the crew in the middle of the crowd.

The Atlanteans were a bit confused to see Thaddeus at the marked altar spot, not at the base of the clearing, but as Kida announced the wishes of the two men, the Atlanteans understood why they did it.

Thaddeus stood nervously, biting his lip, dressed in well-detailed, handsome Atlantean robes of green, groomed and clean, waiting for Milo and Steve to escort Erskine, as yesterday evening, Steve asked if he can be part of it too, as Erskine technically was his second father, having given him the gift of rebirth with the great change, and of course, Erskine was overjoyed, happily saying yes.

Atlantean romantic music turned on, echoing through the city center, and Thaddeus's breath caught as he saw Erskine...Walking in brilliant white, well-cared Atlantean robes, Erskine looked younger and happier than he has ever seen him before, smiling so radiantly at Thaddeus, escorted by Milo who is now wearing Atlantean clothes of blue, and Steve who is wearing his officer outfit from the start of the expedition, on either side of Erskine.

"How are you feeling?", Steve asked Erskine as he chuckled. "Honestly, I'm not feeling too nervous; I mean, I've done this before, albeit it was much different, but I guess when you go through it the first time, doing it again doesn't seem as hard.", he explained.

Milo replied, "I suppose, but you're technically the bride in this one.", with a smile, "I never saw Grandpa look this stunned before...".

Erskine looked at Thaddeus, now blushing as he can see the love, adoration, joy, and absolute awe in his face, and Thaddeus gave him a tender, nervous smile, and Erskine smiled warmly, trying to reassure him all the way across the makeshift aisle.

Soon, they made it to Thaddeus, with Steve gently hugging Erskine, nodding at Thaddeus with a nod as he then left, joining Peggy's side, smiling, as Milo hugged Erskine warmly, speaking clearly, "I, Milo James Thatch give this man away as his adoptive grandson, to my grandfather Thaddeus Thatch, to be part of our family.", smiling at Erskine as he gently passed him into Thaddeus's hands.

"Thank you, Milo...", Thaddeus whispered to his grandson as he looked over to him before looking back to Erskine. "You look amazing, you know that right?", he chuckled as Erskine blushed. "You clean up well yourself when you finally get a chance to get clean...", Erskine teased.

Thaddeus smiled sheepishly as he blushed, and he took a deep breath as he took out a gold ring from his pocket which also contained a silver earring for the last to finale part of the ceremony, like Erskine as well, taking a bit of tradition from the surface, next to the more Atlantean traditions, "I, Thaddeus Thatch, vow to love you with all my heart, to be there with you through all our days, and to take care of you through health and sickness, to be your husband through and through to the end of my life.", donning the gold ring on Erskine's ring finger.
