A/N: This is a rewriting of Super Megaforce into a proper adaptation. The history of Megaforce has been slightly altered to fit this story.
Vrak sat in an SPD detention cell where he had been for quite some time. He had been in a special confinement since arriving. He was surprised he wasn't destroyed on sight. Humans have always been too merciful and naive when it came to destroying clear threats to their existence. They'd much rather talk it out and imprison lifeforms rather than destroy them. All-out destruction was always much more optimal in Vrak's opinion. The rangers were never proficient when it came to seeing things through. How many times in their history had they defeated an enemy and destroyed them but never completely enough to end the threat completely? They may have defeated the Warstar and destroyed the ship but they didn't destroy the ship entirely which allowed Vrak to survive. In short, the Power Rangers were incompetent.
Somehow still able to walk, Vrak took the one shuttle that was still intact and left Earth to find better resources for his plan. That was his first mistake. He needlessly fought with the Troobian Empire but proved they could be great allies but then came Space Patrol. Vrak engaged the Space Patrol Delta team in the Helix Nebula. After defeating the Rangers quite easily, he gave them the choice to join the winning side. That plan backfired and the Troobian Empire fell. Vrak ended up in a high-security detention cell as it was realized he was part of the Uzai Empire.
A young woman walked in wearing the duty uniform of an SPD ranger. It was mostly gray with purple accents showing off the woman's designated ranger color. Vrak wasn't familiar with there being a purple SPD ranger but he surmised it was a new addition just to add to their already insufferable ranks.
"I'm here for you," the woman said. Vrak shot her a look recognizing that voice. Metal Alice ripped the door from the cage just as the guard reached for their side arms. Metal Alice blasted them with her eye beams.
"You're functioning after all this time?" Vrak asked.
"I've been searching for you nonstop when I realized your body wasn't in the wreckage of the ship when it crashed."
With Alice leading the way and blasting anyone who opposed them, the pair made it outside to the courtyard. Suddenly, they were surrounded by what appeared to be every personnel of the prison. They all trained their weapons on the pair.
Vrak didn't say anything, he knew Alice had a plan but he wasn't sure what to expect next. Without warning there was a bright flash of light engulfing Metal Alice and Vrak.
The courtyard was now empty.
Sky Tate led the other three SPD rangers into the war room where Anubis Cruger and Kat were waiting. Cruger entered a few commands into the console and a holographic recording appeared in front of the rangers.
"There was a prison break at the Gamma Eridon high-security prison," Cruger said.
"How many escaped?" Sky asked.
"One."
"Just one?" Bridge asked. "Who?"
Cruger hit another button to show Vrak's prison profile. "Vrak. A royal member of the Uzai Empire. They're your standard empire that wants to invade other systems and steal their resources."
"So, what happened to them?" Sky asked as he watched the recording.
Cruger stepped aside to allow a woman wearing a pink Power Ranger uniform step forward out of the shadows. It was Jen Scotts, Time Force Pink. Sky recognized the uniform design as the inspiration for his father's team design.
"They traveled back in time," she said.
"Where'd they get that tech?" Bridge asked.
"From us," Jen said. She paused long enough to gauge their reactions. They were as she expected. "Years ago, my team had crash landed in the past and our ship was destroyed. However, it wasn't completely destroyed like we had thought and someone stole our chroniton converter. That is the most important component to making a time machine."
"How do you know it was your tech?" Syd asked.
"My team found a chroniton signature that matches our own."
"So, you're going to send us back to recapture Vrak?" Bridge asked.
"Yes and no," Jen said. "We're going with you."
"Let me guess, to make sure we don't corrupt the timeline?" Z asked.
"No, because you'll need us to fight off the invasion force."
"Invasion force?"
"Vrak went back far enough to get a fleet from his empire and take it to Earth. Earth was caught off guard and the Power Rangers were outmatched. Earth fell."
"But if that all happened in the past then how are we still here?" Bridge asked.
"We initiated a static chroniton field that prevented the changes from happening here. The plan is for us to go back to two thousand fourteen and stop the invasion."
"So, it'll just be us, you and the ranger team of that time?" Syd asked.
"And every other ranger team that came before. We're going to contact all ranger teams to assist us in stopping the invasion fleet." Jen turned to Cruger and Kat. "I'd like you both to join us too."
"If I may, sir," Sky said. "I'd like to recruit someone to join us."
"I thought you might," Cruger said so I already asked him.
As if summoned, Jack Landors walked through the door in his SPD duty uniform. It was only temporary but he agreed considering what was at stake. The duty uniform was for old time's sake.
"Guess who's back," Jack said. The other four SPD rangers smiled brightly as their friend made his appearance. It was as if no time had passed since their final battle and Jack's retirement from SPD.
Sky handed him his morpher.
"You did it for me once, so I thought I'd repay the sentiment," Sky said. While Jack was expecting to be a ranger again, he didn't expect to be given his old morpher.
"Then I guess you'll want this one," Bridge said handing Sky his morpher. "So, I guess I'll go grab the green morpher."
Cruger tossed it to him and Bridge caught it with both hands not expecting Cruger to already have it ready for him.
"This is a bit nostalgic," Z said putting her arm around Jack's shoulder.
"Yeah, it's nice," Jack said. "Maybe I'll come back to be red permanently once we're done." He gave Sky a mischievous grin as the current leader of the team shot him a look. "Just joking. I'm enjoying my retirement."
At that moment the other Time Force rangers walked into the room standing behind Jen.
"Are you all ready?" she asked. "All right, let's go."
