"GO GO MEGAFORCE!" Troy and his team shouted as they thrust their morphers forward. They all transformed into their ranger forms. The sky above them was darkened by the sheer number of invading warships. The ships had two gold cylindrical shapes on the sides connected in the back by what the rangers assumed as the bridge and living quarters. It almost looked like a chariot.

"We're gonna need the megazord for this one," Troy said. Using their cards, they summoned their zords. Once they arrived on scene, they began the combining process. The rangers sat in the megazord cockpit as the giant zord final combination piece fit into place.

The ships opened fire before the megazord was able to leave the ground. A few of the laser blasts struck the megazord, throwing the rangers around inside the cockpit.

"That hurt," Jake said.

"We're gonna have to pay them back for that little love tap," Gia said. The five rangers pushed their control sticks forward and sent the megazord into the air.

While the megazord was able to take down many ships, the number of them proved to be too much as it was bombarded with laser blasts. Not all of the ships were firing at the rangers. Many of them were firing at the city below. The rangers steered the Megazord to block some of the blasts but it was futile. The sword was knocked from its hand and fell to the earth.

The rangers inside were being tossed around. They desperately tried to stay in their seats but that was proving to be difficult. The megazord lost its protective shielding and was now losing pieces. The first to go was its left arm. Then the right leg was blasted off. No matter what the rangers tried to do, nothing was working. They got a few strikes in with its remaining limbs but those too were eventually blasted off. One more blast sent the rest of the megazord into free fall.

"We gotta get outta here," Noah said. The red klaxon light had stopped flashing and was now frozen, putting the cockpit into an eerie red hue. Smoke poured from the consoles.

"Agreed," Troy said. "Everyone, abandon the megazord." It was an order he never thought he would give and it was something the others thought they'd never hear. They stared at him a moment longer than they should have. Troy slammed his fist into the blackened console. "NOW!"

That put the other four into gear as they darted for the escape hatch. Looking at the viewscreen ahead, Troy was glad the megazord wasn't going to hit the city, not that it would've mattered much considering the damage. Emma's zord had crushed a few buildings when it landed.

Troy took one last look at the cockpit before escaping out of the hatch. He was the last to land and the five sprinted away hoping they wouldn't be crushed by their own megazord. Once a safe distance away, they watched the megazord slam into the ground next to the remains of Jake's zord. It retained some dignity by landing on its back and being able to face the sky above.

"What are we going to do?" Emma asked.

Before Troy could answer, countless beings dropped from the sky in front of them. Most of them were gray while others were bigger and blue. Summoning their weapons, the demoralized rangers sprinted to engage them.

These foot soldiers put up more of a fight than the rangers expected. The Rangers barely got any hits on them. Noah blocked one hit but missed the ensuing attack and was sent to the dirt. Jake swung his ax to help but it was blocked before he was knocked down. Emma and Gia fared no better. They were bombarded from all angles and dropped to their knees. Sparks flew from their ranger armor. Each ranger cried out in pain after each strike.

Troy was grabbed by the neck and tossed around by one of the blue brutes. He lost his weapon in the process. He and the other rangers were all knocked back into each other.

"We can't get a hit on them," Jake said.

"They're way too powerful," Noah said.

Troy looked up as the ships came closer. Their main cannons glowed green before firing.

"Retreat," Troy said. "Into the woods. Hopefully, they'll stop firing if they can't see us." The five rangers ran away from the ships barely dodging the energy blasts. Explosions erupted all around them, nearly knocking them off their feet.

They made it into the forest and the energy blasts stopped. The rangers rested against a tree as they tried to catch their breath.

"We gotta hang in there," Troy said. "Let's regroup with Gosei and –"

Troy was cut off by a blast to the tree. The rangers ducked and found a large group of the soldiers had found them. Exhausted, the rangers stood battle-ready.

Suddenly, something blue and red whipped around the soldiers taking them all down. Standing in front of them was the female red Samurai ranger, Lauren Shiba.

"Don't worry. We're here to help," Lauren said.

"'We're'?" Jake asked.

One of the blue brutes dropped down from Lauren's blindside and attacked. She turned around just as the attack was blocked by a sword. It was another red ranger but this one was the first, Jason Lee Scott. He slashed the brute with his sword as did Lauren and together they kicked the brute in the face.

"Let's go," Jason said. As they turned around to leave they were surrounded by the soldiers both gray and blue class.

"Them again?" Gia asked her voice filled with frustration.

A blue electric attack sliced through one group of soldiers and dropped them before they exploded. From behind them came the Shadow Ranger and Kat Ranger from SPD. Behind the Megaforce rangers, Magna Defender engaged another group, leaving one group of soldiers uncontested. Lauren ran over with her spin sword in hand to take on the last group. Udonna and Leanbow came out of nowhere to assist. However, the soldiers still outnumbered them. Helping to even the odds was the Blue Centurion and the Sentinel Knight. The Blue Centurion saluted the Rangers before landing another hit.

"Go," Lauren said looking at Jason. The original red ranger nodded to her and led the Megaforce rangers out of the skirmish.

"We're counting on you," Cruger said watching Jason lead the rangers away.

"Some are chasing us," Emma said.

Stepping out from behind the trees on both sides of the rangers were Jerrod and Camille. They stared down the charging soldiers as they powered up for an attack. Jarrod glowed gold while Camille glowed purple. They launched energy balls of the same color that took down the group of soldiers. They turned around and watched the Rangers head for the main battle.

They reached the edge of a cliff where the six of them jumped. Jason landed with the rest of his team who stood in front of every single ranger from every single team. The Megaforce Rangers took point. Feeling re-energized despite being knocked around earlier, the Megaforce rangers, weapons in hand, stared down the massive army that stood before them.

The air thickened with an unsettling tension. There was no reprieve from the gnawing apprehension in the hearts of the rangers. In front of them was an endless army that seemed to stretch to the horizon. They moved with a mechanical precision, the marching ominously echoed across the barren expanse. The rangers readied themselves, drawing all of their weapons as the haunting cadence came to a stop. There was still a distance between them but that gap would soon close.

Jason watched the soldiers as he gripped his power sword. A chilling symphony of silence gripped the land. He could sense the fear and resignation within the ranger army. They never faced anything like this before but they were the only ones capable of stopping them. Waiting any longer would make things worse. Now was the time to strike. He and Tommy looked at each other and bumped fists. Jason gave the order and the ranger army sprinted forward engaging the enemy.

Each step forward carried with it an unspoken dread; a burden too heavy to bear, yet impossible to cast aside. The atomic clock struck zero when the colorful army of rangers clashed with the drab gray and blue invasion force.

Jayden Shiba blocked an attack on his blindside with his spin sword before turning around to take down his opponents. Carter Grayson and Joel Rawlings took on some blue brutes as Dana was nearby handling some of the smaller gray soldiers.

Cole Evans and the rest of the Wild Force team rolled in to assist the Lost Galaxy team. With Trent nearby, Conner McKnight used his Tyranno Staff to fend off several gray soldiers. He happened to be near his teammate and teacher Tommy Oliver but he was in his original Green Ranger suit. He could've sword he saw Tommy switching powers earlier.

Maya with her Quasar Saber assisted Kat Hillard who had her Zeo Pod Sword out fighting off soldiers. Mack Hartford was swinging his Drive Lance around whacking a few flat tops with it before thrusting it forward into another one.

Andros was using his Spiral Saber as Ashley came up to keep his flank clear. Leo Corbett and Kai Chen were mixed in with Max Cooper and Alyssa Enrile from the Wild Force team. Leo unleashed a fire attack that engulfed a group of gray flattops.

The Mystic Force team ran around as Solaris Knight noticed a ranger had thrown a gray fat top into the air. He drew his Laser Lamp, while holding another gray flat top, and blasted the airborne flat top.

Gem and Gemma slashed through a group of gray flat tops while the SPD team was mixed in with the Time Force. Jack Landors blasted his opponents while assisting Lucas Kendall.

Jason Lee Scott slashed through a blue brute with his power sword while Trini and Zack had his flanks. Kimberly and Billy were a little further back behind him.

Casey, Lily, and Theo were fighting hand-to-hand with their opponents while Shane Clarke and Aurico drew their swords taking down a group of flat tops. Their teammates, the Alien Rangers, Thunder Rangers, and Ninja Storm team dashed and slashed through a larger group. They landed with their swords drawn and all the soldiers around them dropped to the ground. One gray flat top had been picked up and tossed in the air during the speed attack. It was impossible to see who had done that but regardless, that airborne soldier ended up being blasted as well by Solaris Knight. If one didn't know any better, they'd think he was having fun shooting them out of the air.

Syd and Summer had each other's back as they battled a mixture of blue and gray opponents. Mike and Antonio were nearby putting down their batch of opponents.

Meanwhile, in the forest, Leanbow, Cruger, and Kat were still fighting their opponents. Jarrod and Camille fought hand to hand with Jarrod landing a kick to the face of a gray flat top. Lauren fought with Magna Defender and the Blue Centurion and Sentinel Knight were still fighting alongside each other.

Without warning, the lead ship opened fire as did the other ships. The rangers tried to take cover but it was an open area. Lauren and her group came rushing out of the forest when they heard the screams of their friends. The lead ship fired again but this time it caught all the rangers at once. Every ranger screamed in agony as they all morphed back into their civilian forms.

The beam ceased and all the rangers fell to the ground. None of them were moving.

On the bridge of the lead ship, Vrak laughed triumphantly as he watched the rangers fall to the ground one by one. He looked around the bridge to his command crew. Only Metal Alice stood by watching the screen while the others let out a sigh of relief.

"And you all were worried that they might actually win," he said. "I wanted them to think they had the upper hand before I crushed them. It's so much better to demoralize your enemy before you finish them off." He spun around toward the viewscreen. "Target them with full disruptors. I want nothing left. FIRE!"

The soldier at the tactical station pressed the button to fire but instead of the disruptor beams lashing out at the fallen rangers, the ship rocked with internal explosions.

"Report!"

"Internal explosions from deck eleven. There was a massive energy build-up that created a feedback loop."

Before Vrak could give any other order, the lead ship exploded, sending out a shockwave that took out all other ships in orbit. In the wake of the explosion, tiny glowing bits of light scattered out into open space like fireflies.

On the ground, Troy Burrows slowly opened his eyes to a clear blue sky. It didn't look like that earlier. His body ached as he slowly got up. His teammates were on the ground nearby. Jake and Noah started coming to. Troy checked on Emma while Jake went to Gia. All around them, other rangers were slowly getting to their feet.

"We're alive," Noah said surprised giving his body a quick check. "What did they hit us with?"

"What happened to the invasion fleet?" Gia asked.

"Destroyed," a voice said behind her. They all turned around to see Shane Clarke of Ninja Storm standing there. Next to him was Alyssa Enrile from Wild Force. She was clutching her left arm.

"I don't know what happened but the ship that fired on us suddenly blew up," she said.

"So we won," Emma said.

"Yeah," Andros said as he assisted an injured Ashley. "But we can't morph again. Whatever that beam was, it stole our powers."

Jake pulled out his card which glowed white before shattering. The other four watched in horror as the card disintegrated in his hand.

"So that means it's over?" he asked. "The Power Rangers are finished."

"At least we were able to protect the planet," Troy said.

"You're right," Shane said with a nod. "We protected the planet and its future."

All the rangers gathered in their respective teams as the original Mighty Morphin' team made its rounds to each team, thanking them for their help.

"You guys alright?" Zack asked.

"Yeah, we're good," Jake said.

"Do you guys know what happened to the fleet?" Noah asked.

"Some sort of explosion," Billy said. "I'm not sure why as of yet. I'll have to come back with my equipment and scan the debris to figure out what happened."

"One thing's for sure," Trini said. "It saved us. I'm not sure any of us would be alive otherwise."

"So what now?" Emma asked.

"We go back to our old lives," Trini said. "While I was happy being a ranger, now I won't have to worry about my daughter finding out I was a power ranger."

"Who will protect the earth now?" Troy asked.

"Don't worry about that," Tommy said. "There's always a new team to protect the earth."
