The exchange event started a few seconds ago. Our students split up into two groups. The first group is Maki, Itadori, and Megumi. The second is Panda, Inumaki, and Kugisaki. Panda's group looks like they're in the courtyard and Maki's group ran into the woods.
It doesn't take long for them to run into trouble though. Aoi Todo, an upper class man to our students, comes out of nowhere, but it looks like they all split up quickly. Todo corners Itadori and starts pummeling him. But Itadori won't fight back.
"What's he doing?" I say.
Just then, the feed cuts from Itadori and goes to Maki. Weird how that cut like it did. And by weird, I mean way too coincidental for my taste. Something's going on, and it shouldn't surprise me really. They've tried killing Itadori once, but today of all days? That's bold. Either way, it boils my blood. I had my reservations about him too, but I see his strength now. He can control Sukuna, this can work. But the conservative higher ups don't want to hear it.
My emotions rise, especially my anger. My cursed energy rises with it and Satoru looks to me with concern.
"Everything okay?" He asks.
I nod to the screen not wanting to voice my opinion on Itadori here.
Satoru turns to me slightly and puts a hand on my stomach while still holding my hand with his other one.
"The baby is going wild. Deep breaths yeah? Don't need complications this late in the game." He says.
He's right. The last thing we need is for me to induce labor due to the stress. We're getting close, and we can't afford an early birth right now.
I nod and start slowing my breathing down.
"Everything alright?" I hear Utahime ask concerned.
"I'm okay, just a little stressed for the students." I say and chuckle in between breaths.
"Your students will do fine." Mei Mei says, "as much as I try to stay out of things where money isn't a concern, I don't want to see you and your baby suffer. Deep breaths love." She says.
I nod, "thanks Mei."
"Of course, you were always my favorite junior." She says.
"Huh? Not me?!" Satoru asks.
"Shut up Gojo." Utahime says.
My emotions level out and Satoru smirks. He nods his head as he rubs my stomach gently. "That's it mama. Nothing to worry about see? Anything happens, and i'll take care of it yeah?"
I nod, "yeah."
He leans over and kisses me on the cheek and we continue watching the exchange event. All four screens show different fights. There's one between Panda and Mechamaru, one between Kugisaki and Miwa, and one between Fushiguro and Kamo. Finally, there's a screen with just Inumaki. They must be keeping him as back up. He has a powerful ability, but it needs work and more practice. He can't be used much, that's the cost of his technique.
I'm on edge. Why won't they show Itadori? Mei is a good friend, but there's only one thing she's truly driven by. Money. If someone paid her off, then she'd do almost anything. She may have been bribed to keep Itadori off the screens for a specific reason.
One of the flags burns red and I smile. They're staying on track. But they still have a while to go. They need to remain focused on the task at hand. Instead, they're all fighting each other. Weird.
"One down for Tokyo." I say.
"Yeah, I can't help but notice the feeds on Itadori keep cutting out. Whose side are you on Mei?" Satoru says.
"I use my embued crows to project the video. Sometimes the connection can be unstable." She says conveniently.
"Uh huh." Satoru says unconvinced.
The battles keep going on. Panda has won his fight and Kugisaki is down.
"What happened?" I say.
"She's just knocked out." Satoru reassures me.
Maki comes on the screen and is now fighting Mai. Who would have guessed the two Zenin sisters would fight? I wouldn't have. And I mean that sarcastically. I knew those two were chomping at the bit to go at each other's throats. Best to let them work it out. Maki can hold her own, no matter what the Zenin clan or even her own sister thinks.
Megumi and Kamo are pretty beat up. The feed on Inumaki and Panda have switched to Maki and Megumi. They must be the only ones fighting right now. But suddenly, all the flags go up in red flames.
"What?" Yaga says.
"Impossible." Gakuganji adds.
"Tokyo students?" Utahime asks.
"While i'd like to say this was because of the great teaching from the great Gojo's, i'd lean more towards that not being the case." Satoru says.
"Right. Red also indicates unregistered cursed energy. We have to go." Yaga says.
"Mei, keep the feed going. Satoru, and Utahime, protect the students." Yaga says.
"I'll go too." Gakuganji says.
"Great idea! It's time for your afternoon walk anyways. Wouldn't want those old feeble bones to weaken more now would we?" Satoru says mockingly.
I smirk. Normally I'd feel bad, but Gakugaji deserves the ridicule. He is involved somehow. I'm sure of it after today.
"What about me?" I ask.
"You're staying here." Satoru says seriously.
"I have to help." I protest.
"No, Naomi you're eight months pregnant. Stay here, I can handle this." He tells me.
I sigh and nod.
"I'll stay with her." Yaga says.
Satoru nods to him and they all head out. It's just me, Mei, and Yaga.
"What is this?" I say confused as the crows feed shows a veil being lowered.
"A veil?" Yaga says.
Mei moves a crow to watch Satoru and the others as they run towards it. The others seem confused but Satoru seems to understand mostly what's happening. Whoever is the mole has to be involved with this.
They approach the veil and Satoru puts his hand up to it. It kicks his hand back and my eyebrow shoots up. My stress level rises as I begin worrying.
"Why can't he enter?" I say.
"It seems to be a veil for keeping Gojo out. See? The others got in just fine." Yaga says.
"Why? What can't he go in for?" I ask curiously.
"Who knows? But if I were a betting kinda gal, which I am, I'd bet high grade cursed users are behind this. The why of it is the real question. Especially with Gojo around? Bold move." Mei says.
I nod, "yeah. I don't get their angle."
A few minutes go by and Satoru disappears off the screen. Mei positions the crows to watch the fights inside to get a better idea. There are three fights currently. One is between Todo and Itadori with a very strong looking Curse. Another is between Principal Gakuganji and some crazed looking curse user. And the final one is between Maki, Kugisaki, and Utahime with some young kid who looks like he's having way too much fun trying to hurt them.
Todo and Itadori seem to be putting up a good fight. Although there's somethjng new i've noticed about Itadori. I watch as he lands hit after hit, and with a considerable amount of cursed energy. Todo looks pleased with him and they work together, swapping back and forth using Todo's boogie woogie technique. The name is odd for sure but it's extremely useful. Especially coupled with his strength.
Then it hits me. Todo taught him Black Flash, and Itadori is actually able to use it. And not just once, but multiple times. I want to watch the others fights, but I can't rip my eyes away from Itadori. He's insane. He's using Black flash multiple times like it's nothing. He's stronger than we thought he'd be right now. I smile happy and proud he was able to unlock this level of power this quickly. This is easily a second grade sorcerer power level. I couldn't be more proud of him.
It doesn't last long though. Everyone looks pretty beat. I'm getting nervous watching. But it only takes maybe about ten minutes and the veil is lifted. No doubt Satoru did that. Everyone who was fighting stops and look up. Satoru, as handsome and powerful as ever, has removed his blindfold and is hovering above the grounds watching everyone's every move. I see Itadori mouth Satoru's name and he looks at them and smirks. He can see Itadori's power level increase. With that in mind, he decides to teleport to Gakuganji's fight. The crazed man runs at him with a knife in hand swinging it back and forth. Satoru smiles and blasts him away, blowing his arms and legs off.
I smirk, "guy didn't stand a chance."
"No, not against Satoru." Yaga agrees.
Satoru looks around and settles on the direction of Itadori and Todo. He smiles and walks a few paces into the forest. I look at the other screen wondering why he isn't headed for the younger boy, but it looks like he ran away. What a coward. Although, you can't expect much honor among criminals.
Satoru takes a wide stance and extends his arm out, conjuring his Hollow Purple technique. Purple lightning sparks all around him and a small purple energy ball appears at his finger tips. I smile as I know what he's about to do. He only told me about this secret technique the Gojo's possess, but now I get to see it.
"Ah crap." Yaga says knowing he's about to devastate the entire arena.
Satoru simply flicks the purple energy ball and it expands into an enormous ball of destruction. Everything in its path is taken out. Even the earth. Everything is vaporized and is just gone. Nothing is left behind, and the three of us sit in silence, speechless as Hollow finishes.
"Wow. Never actually got to see this in person. Seems it's everything people say." Mei says.
"Yeah." I say not sure of what else to say.
Yaga sighs, "i've got to go have a meeting with the higher ups now about how Gojo destroyed the arena. I'll be back soon. But if I don't come back, assume the higher ups killed me for this." He says half joking.
I chuckle, "yeah, sorry about this."
Yaga grumbles as he walks away. He always has to clean up after Satoru.
Everyone returns soon after Hollow Purple was used. The crazed man was taken in for questioning, and the wounded and dead were brought back to Shoko for healing or burial as needed. We were told before we left that there were some younger lower grade sorcerers killed on campus. This makes me extremely suspicious. Something big is going on, and I can't help but have a bad feeling about it.
Mei Mei left not long ago, and now it's just me waiting for Satoru and word on everyone's condition. I return to our apartment and pace back and forth in the living room. When Satoru returns, he walks up to me and I hug him tightly. He chuckles and sighs comforted by my embrace.
We let go of each other and he places a hand on my cheek and smiles warmly, "see? Told you I had everything under control."
I chuckle and kiss him hard. He pulls me into him as much as he can with the baby in the way. I grab his uniform jacket hard and we deepen the kiss more. He smiles as he bites my lip and I moan a bit.
"Need something love?" He asks teasing me with a featherlight kiss.
"Please, just take me to the bed." I say.
He chuckles and picks me up wrapping my legs around his waist. I'm surprised he can still lift me up, but he does with ease. Sometimes I forget he's the strongest sorcerer alive. We kiss the whole way as he carries me to the bed and lays me down gently. He makes a trail of kisses from my lips, down my neck and to my collarbone. I bring him back up to my lips and we tear each other's clothes off desperately.
Then, we get lost in each other. He leaves loving kisses everywhere. I say his name in low tones, as he smiles hearing it come from my lips. His blue eyes pierce mine and my hands roam his perfect muscular body. I linger on his arms more than anything. He tells me he loves me over and over. He calls me beautiful, even though I think he shouldn't. Our love is laid out before each other, so purely. Nothing can come between us. He is mine, and I am his. No matter what happens, nothing will ever change this fact.
When everything's said and done, we lay in each other's arms. We have to get up and go check on the students soon, but right now we just cherish each other. Today showed me that something is going against us, and I won't take another second for granted. We never know what could happen, but I will love him for every moment for the rest of our lives.
