Judgment
Previously on Bedding The Gods:
Dionysus bent over and picked me up bridal style While I cried out in pleasure. Dionysus gave me a lustful look. Chiron looked shocked, and Dionysus looked at the Satyr and said, "Let's Hurry!"
"Close your eyes," Dionysus ordered, looking down at Chiron and me. We did, and he transported us to Olympus within no minutes to spare.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Percy Jackson series or its Characters. This story is for pure entertainment purposes only. My twist on what happens after The Last Olympian.
Dionysus P.O.V.
We materialized amid the grand throne room, the opulent decor of Olympus surrounding us. Zeus's booming voice reverberated through the chamber as he erupted in fury. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!" he thundered, his gaze piercing as he surveyed the scene before him.
"Excuse me, but we require your judgment," I interjected, meeting Zeus's gaze with determination. My eyes scanned the assembly of gods and goddesses present, pondering who among them could have orchestrated such a malicious act against Percy. Was it someone in this room, or perhaps an unseen presence lurking in the shadows?
Zeus's expression slightly softened as he listened to my plea, though his frustration remained palpable. "Of what matter? What is so significant to interrupt us?!" he demanded, his tone still laced with irritation.
"Perseus Jackson, Hero of Olympus, has unexpectedly gone into heat. We believe that someone, with the aid of a deity, is responsible for this," I explained, casting a wary glance at Percy, who lay unconscious, his breaths shallow and ragged. The revelation hung in the air like a heavy fog, eliciting a mixture of shock and concern from those gathered. Poseidon's voice boomed with fury, his anger directed toward anyone who would dare harm his son. "Who did this?! Who would dare?!" he roared, his trident trembling in his clenched fist.
"We do not yet know, my lord," Chiron replied, his gaze lowered in deference. The weight of responsibility hung heavy upon him, and I could sense his apprehension at being implicated in this dire situation.
Hera's disapproving gaze settled upon Aphrodite, her tone dripping with disdain. "Oh, just what we need. Another troublemaker stirring up chaos," she scoffed, her eyes narrowing in accusation.
Aphrodite bristled at the insinuation, her voice laced with anger. "Excuse me, you old Crone!" she retorted, her frustration evident. Beside her, Ares remained silent but exuded an aura of restrained fury, his gaze fixed upon his mother. "My son is not some pawn in petty games," Poseidon growled, his anger simmering beneath the surface. Hera's lip curled in disdain as she regarded her brother. "I am not surprised. This child has always been a source of trouble," she remarked, her tone dripping with disdain. Zeus's voice cut through the tension, his tone commanding attention. "Brother, please. Let us focus on finding the culprits responsible for this deed and discern their intentions. This predicament could be the work of a troublemaker or a misguided prankster," he reasoned, seeking to quell the rising conflict.
"But what of the boy, Father?" Ares inquired, his gaze flickering with concern. The others present looked to Zeus, awaiting his judgment. Zeus contemplated for a moment before issuing his decree. "We shall entrust the care of Percy to three guardians until we resolve this matter," he declared, his gaze sweeping over the assembly.
"And who is tasked with this responsibility?" Aphrodite inquired, her voice tinged with curiosity. Zeus deliberated briefly before announcing his decision. "Apollo, Dionysus, and Hades, you shall watch over the boy until the truth is uncovered," he decreed, his tone brooking no argument.
"Why can't I watch over my son?" Poseidon protested, his voice heavy with concern. Zeus leveled a gaze at his brother, his expression resolute. "Your attachment may cloud your judgment, Poseidon. We cannot afford any distractions," he explained, his tone firm.
"I selected them because they are well-suited to care for Percy. Percy will not be compromised Apollo, Dionysus, and Hade's during this time," Zeus continued, his gaze sweeping over the assembly.
"But how can I fulfill this task while rebuilding the Underworld? Why should I have to entertain should petty ruses?" Hades queried, his brow furrowed with consternation.
"Percy's safety is of utmost importance. This predicament could be another ploy from our past, even a new enemy, or a distraction until we know this is needed. Plus, who would dare with the Lord of the Underworld as his guardian? he will be well-protected," Zeus affirmed, his tone final though playing on my uncle's pride. Apollo approached us, his expression solemn as he prepared to assume his duties. "Let us proceed with caution," he advised, his eyes betraying a hint of apprehension.
Unexpectedly, Apollo's demeanor shifted as he gazed toward Percy, his voice taking on a suggestive tone. "Why can't I keep him for myself? I am familiar and more than capable?" he murmured, his gaze lingering on Percy's unconscious form with an unsettling intensity.
I bristled at Apollo's audacity, drawing Percy protectively closer to me. "That look is precisely why," I retorted, my tone dripping with disdain. Zeus's booming voice echoed through the chamber again, silencing the escalating tension. "Enough! The three of you shall attend to Percy until further notice, and that is final," he decreed, his tone brooking no argument.
With Zeus's judgment delivered, the assembly began to disperse, each deity returning to their respective duties. As Apollo, Dionysus, and I prepared to depart, I couldn't shake the unease lingering in the air. Whatever machinations were at play, we would need to tread carefully to ensure Percy's safety amidst the swirling chaos of Olympus.
Hades P.O.V.
As I shadow-traveled to my bungalow in Los Angeles, Percy cradled in my arms, and I swiftly made my way to the spare bedroom across the hall from mine. With practiced ease, I undressed and tucked him snugly under the sheets, ensuring the window was left slightly ajar to prevent him from overheating. Looking back at Percy's sleeping form, I left the room, leaving the door open.
Making my way to the far end of the hallway, where a birdbath stood nestled amongst the foliage, I couldn't help but mull over the situation. "Why did you tuck him in?" I murmured to myself, tossing a drachma into the water-filled basin as I approached.
"Show me, Apollo, God of the sun," I requested, watching intently as the water began to swirl with vibrant colors before Apollo's image materialized within.
"Yes, Hades?" Apollo's voice echoed from the bath, his image dressed in the familiar garb of his toga, though he remained within the confines of Olympus.
"I'm leaving Percy in my bungalow in Los Angeles, guarded by a Chimera pup," I stated matter-of-factly, meeting Apollo's gaze with a steady stare.
"Is it safe to leave him there, even with the pup? And why Los Angeles?" Apollo inquired, his brow furrowing with concern as he posed his questions.
"I must tend to matters in the underworld. He'll be safe, and I can't risk bringing him there in his current condition. Behind the Hollywood sign," I replied, my tone clipping as I revealed the location, withholding further details.
"You want me to come and assist with him?" Apollo queried, concern evident in his voice as he sought clarification.
"No, he should be fine. I'm simply informing you, just in case," I exhaled softly. Though I didn't foresee any immediate issues arising from Percy's condition, I was wary of upsetting Zeus or Poseidon, particularly soon after the war's conclusion.
"Zeus has instructed us to visit tomorrow afternoon to discuss Percy's care," Apollo informed me, his tone carrying a hint of boredom as he spoke.
"Very well. I'll be in touch if any complications arise," I acknowledged, nodding toward the sky. Apollo offered a parting jest, to which I responded with a nod of farewell. As the water rippled and Apollo's image vanished from the birdbath, I turned back toward Percy's room, the darkness outside tinged with the faint promise of dawn.
Apollo P.O.V.
As I concluded my conversation with Hades, I went to my chambers to prepare for the coming morning. Barely had I crossed the threshold of my living area when Aphrodite sauntered into my palace, her presence heralded by the familiar sound of her laughter.
"Apollo! How's your love life been?" she chimed, her voice carrying a playful lilt as she made herself comfortable amidst the pillows scattered throughout the room.
"You should already know," I retorted tersely, my tone betraying a hint of annoyance. The recent end of my relationship was a sore spot I preferred not to dwell on.
"Oh, that's right, you and your latest infatuation parted ways a few days ago," Aphrodite remarked with a dramatic sigh, her indifference to the situation evident in her demeanor.
"Regardless, I have matters to attend to. Please, leave," I requested, turning to retrieve my bow and belt from the kitchen counter before heading towards the door.
With a dismissive wave of my hand, I exited my chambers and descended the steps of my palace, making my way to where my sun chariot awaited. Climbing into the chariot, I set off on my daily journey across the skies, guiding the sun as it rose to greet the world below. Yet, as the day unfolded, I found myself inexplicably drawn westward. I wouldn't dare draw Father's ire my way, but it was tempting to see the little demigod.
Me: "Yeah, chapter three, so ready."
Percy: "I'm not."
Hades: "Me either; you promised I'd get Percy."
Me: "Maybe you will or won't" *Evil Grin*
Apollo & Dionysus: "What about us?!"
Me: * Laughs Evil* It's judgment day guys
Percy: *Stare with fear* ' No
Me: Oh yea
Gods: *Confused*
Author Notes: I forgot that my story is somewhat O.O.C. points. Also, Hades is known to have affairs when his wife isn't around for the summer and spring months. Also, Dionysus and His wife are more casual. (we see where that goes) Rewritten and Edited on 01/23/2024 So, I have been reading my reviews, and people have commented on and fixed this chapter. So here you go. I hope everyone enjoyed it. :) So, for the short P.O.V. with Hades and Apollo, this chapter was about Mr. D. :) / 02/15/2024 edited & rewritten
Thank You's:
Playing-dodgeball-with-bricks: Thanks for the review. And Chiron knew what it was because he's a Satyr. Since he has experienced heat, it's a thing all animals/animal-type beings have gone through.
