Hey everyone! sorry for the long wait! I just want to quickly reiterate that this story is not connected to LOK despite having the Red Lotus. I just took ideas or names from Lok but storywise it is not connected. That is all :) -AnUnknownStranger

Aang, wake up…" A voice echoed in his subconscious. "Aang…" the voice repeated and this time he recognized it to be a man's.

His eyes fluttered open, his vision blurry and mind foggy. Once his eyes focused he could make out Roku's form standing near him. "Roku…?" He questioned groggily.

"Get up." The previous Avatar demanded. Aang sat up quickly, his hair slick with sweat and heart beating quickly. He felt like he was still half asleep and wondered if Roku was nothing but a dream or reality. "Aang…" Katara's voice broke through his thoughts as she cupped her palm over his forehead.

"You're burning up." The waterbender reached for a damp cloth and cooled it in her hands before placing it on his forehead.

She gently pushed him back down as he relaxed. "What happened?" He looked to his wife tiredly. "You're very sick…the physician believes it's from all of the traveling." She explained with disbelief in her voice. Before he could respond, his body lurched with a fit of coughs. "That's absurd. I've traveled the world." Aang argued.

"I know…this is something else. I've already sent word to the Northern Water tribe to have their best spiritual healer ready." Katara informed.

"Is that necessary. It's just stress." The airbender argued. Katara gave him an unimpressed look that told him how ridiculous that argument was. He wasn't faced with an evil Fire Lord anymore, only peace celebrations and two anarchists.

"Maybe I shouldn't travel to the Northern Water Tribe. Of all nations, they would be the most understanding." Aang said softly as he closed his eyes. Katara ran a hand soothingly up and down his arm.

"You have to, I want you to see this healer. Also they are already expecting you." Katara replied gently as she ran a hand through his damp hair.

"Atleast I have a day to rest…" he sighed. "Actually the Council of Five and King Kuei have called a meeting with you. It's an emergency meeting." She clarified. He groaned in response. "Just tell them no, you're in no position-"

"No…it's fine." He scowled as he began to sit up.

"Zuko was called as well as a Water Tribe delegate. They believe the attack was linked to the one in Caldera." Katara explained as she helped him sit upright. "Because they are. Tyro, the lavabender works with Szeto. They belong to an organization called the Red Lotus." Aang revealed as he slid on a shirt.

"Well I'm sure the meeting will be about stopping them before they strike again." Katara sighed as she stood. "Oh and General How will be there." She added with disdain. Aang's least favorite General.

They walked hand in hand toward the meeting room, Sokka, Toph, and Suki following closely behind.

As they entered, Aang dropped Katara's hand letting her stand beside Sokka, Toph, and Suki. The leaders all stood and bowed their heads upon Aang's arrival. Zuko through Aang a small smile before bowing his head. "Let's begin." They all sat in their designated seats and waited for King Kuei to begin.

"Two nations have been struck with a devastating attack from these individuals. Who are they and what do they want?" King Kuei asked the room.

"Their names are Tyro and Szeto and they belong to an organization that believes I have failed and that my time as the Avatar has ended." Aang informed everyone as he leaned forward with his hands clasped.

"Forgive my bluntness Avatar Aang, but why not just kill you? Why are they staging these destructive events?" The Earth King responded curiously.

"Good question. One I don't have the answer to. I have faced both and none of them have attempted to fight me." The airbender explained as he leaned back in his seat. Aang recalled both Tyro and Szeto fleeing the scene of their crime with no intentions to fight till he retaliated.

"Perhaps they have already accomplished your defeat." General How spoke up. Everyone looked to him with shock at his boldness.

Aang clenched his jaw before leaning forward and eyeing the General. "Care to elaborate General How?" The airbender spoke nearly through gritted teeth.

"Perhaps you have been poisoned. We all know you have been indisposed after each peace ceremony thus far." General How stated with malice.

"The Avatar has already seen two physicians who have concluded that it was exhaustion not poison." Zuko countered with irritation in his tone toward the General.

General How shrugged. "Then perhaps it is in everyone's best interest if the Avatar is dismissed from future peace celebrations. For the safety of others." The general looked to the King who seemed stunned by the suggestion.

"Dismissed?" Aang repeated softly. He felt sweat glisten on his brow and chest tighten the longer he was forced to entertain the meeting.

"It would be in everyone's best interest-"

Aang sat forward and slammed his fist on the table, shaking it. "First you want efforts to revive the air nation seized and now you want me, the Avatar, dismissed from a ceremonies that we have because of me." Although he wasn't shouting, the Airbenders voice was strong and carried through the room.

"All I hear is an Airbender who cares about himself and not an Avatar who cares about the safety and well-being of the nations!" General How shouted as he stood. "But from what I recall, that is quite in character for you after abandoning the Air Nation over 100 years ago. Perhaps these rebels are right. We need an Avatar that puts others needs before-" Suddenly the General gasped for air and began gripping his throat, his eyes wide with fear.

Everyone looked to Aang with horror as his eyes and tattoos glowed and his hand outstretched toward General How. "Aang!" Katara and Sokka shouted as they ran toward him. They were immediately blown backwards upon trying to reach him. The whites of the General's eyes began to turn bloodshot and he croaked for air that he couldn't find filling his lungs.

"Enough!" Two voices shouted in unison as Aang was pushed backwards and held against the wall. The Airbenders eyes widened at the sight of Roku and Kyoshi holding him firmly in place. No one else seemed to see the previous Avatars as everyone else's eyes remained fixed on Aang. Katara took the opportunity to run to him and hold his face in her hands. "Wake up, this isn't you. Stop now." She begged. The glow faded and left a frightened and weak Avatar in its place.

His eyes searched Katara's as his mind filled with thoughts and panic filled his body. "That wasn't me…I couldn't control it." He whispered as he tried to control his panic.

"The previous Airbender Avatars." Katara concluded quietly knowing that General How had tested their wrath too many times.

"The Fire Nation will no longer partner with the Earth Kingdom so long as they deny the validity of the Air Nation." Zuko stood and announced.

Everyone turned to the Fire Lord, surprised at his declaration. "That is a mistake! He cannot even control himself let alone an entire nation!" How shouted in between gasps.

The Northern WaterTribe dignitary stood as well. "I will have to confer with Chief Arnook, but on behalf of the Water Tribe Nation I would like to express our deepest disappointment in the Earth Kingdoms feelings on this matter." He concluded.

The Earth King stood as well.

"It would be an even bigger mistake to become an enemy of the Air Nation given what I have just witnessed from the element." Kuei began slowly as he avoided eye contact with General How.

Katara looked to Aang and knew that the Kings words were not reassuring in anyway. The Air nation was meant to be seen as a peaceful and pacifist one, not one to be feared.

"I would like a motion a vote to add the Air nation to the peace celebration route and formally acknowledge it as a living nation." The Earth King lifted his hand and majority followed suit. General How glared at the Avatar, "thank you for proving my point Avatar." He scowled before leaning back in his seat.

Aang pushed his shoulders back and stared down at How. "Then I suppose we should talk about how we will protect the Northern Water Tribe and the Southern Air temple, where the final two peace celebrations will be held." He sat back down and they began to discuss how the nations would prevent another Red Lotus attack.

After the meeting adjourned General How and a group of soldiers entered a home within the city. The quaint Earth Kingdom home belonged to a rebel aiding the Red Lotus. A charming abode nestled amidst a row of similar stone built homes that were aged and worn from the war. The exterior of the house exuded a rustic charm, with its earthy tones blending seamlessly with the cities dull surroundings. It had been the Red Lotus' perfect Sanctuary during the Earth Kingdoms peace celebration.

"They took the bait exactly like you said they would. He will be at the Southern Air Temple for the final part of the Peace celebration tour." General How informed the Red Lotus' leader.

"Excellent. When the time comes I will remember what you did for the nations, General How." The masked man gave him a nod of approval.

General How bowed his head only to quickly find it rolling onto the floor. His body followed, lifelessly immediately after. Before his soldiers could respond they were quickly disposed of by Red Lotus members.

"General How was a loyal follower-"

"He seeks attention and praise relentlessly. It wouldn't be long before he would seek the Kings favor again." The masked man replied.

Tyro gave a hesitant nod in reply with worry that he may find his head at his feet, should he argue. "Next you all see me, it will be when the world is truly balanced. You know where to meet in the end." The Red Lotus leader stated before exiting the home.

Szeto and Tyro left not long after, leaving the rebel home to burn into a pile of ash.
