The aftermath of the shooting, April and Jackson get bad news about Charles Percy.

Jackson and April were sitting on the bench outside the hospital; they had survived the shooting, but neither of them was really okay. Jackson looked April, he saw that her leg was shaking rapidly.

"Dr. Shephard was shot, I saw it happen, it was my fault," April said.

"April wasn't your fault," Jackson told.

"And Reed," she's dead now, I found her, I was covered in her blood, April said. She started talking so fast that Jackson couldn't understand her.

"April," Jackson said, he grabbed her hands. A paramedic walked over to the two. "Do you have anything that might calm her down a bit?"

The paramedic grabbed something that would help April calm down from his bag and gave it to April and also a cup of water and she took it. April took it and out a few times and her leg began to tremble less.

"It's going to be okay April," Jackson said to her.

"I can't believe Reed is dead," April siad.

"Neither can I," Jackson said.

"This morning we were eating breakfast together and making plans to get a manicure together on the weekend," April said.

"It's...," Jackson began, but he just didn't know how to describe it. "I get what's going on, but I just can't put it into words."

"Her parents they will be heartbroken by this news."

"And Charles."

"He's crazy about her," April said. "You think he already knows that she is dead?"

"I don't know," Jackson said. "And if he doesn't know, It has to be us who bring him the news, he can't hear it from anyone else."

Bailey saw April and Jackson sitting down and walked over to them, she now had to deliver them the news about their friend, she felt they needed to hear it from her.

"Dr. Bailey you are okay?" April asked.

"I'm far from okay," Bailey replied.

"Dr. Bailey do you know where Charles is? I know he was on your service today," Jackson said.

Bailey knelt down, she put her hand down on April's knee and looked at the two doctors. "I need to tell you guys something."

"What is it?" April asked.

"It's about Dr. Per...," Bailey began. It's about Charles."

"What about Charles?" Jackson asked.

"Does he already know about Reed?" April asked.

"No, I'm sorry to have to tell you this..." Bailey began, she didn't have to finish her sentence, because both April and Jackson know what she was going to say.

"No."

"Please don't say what I think you're about to say."

"Your friend Charles was unfortunately killed in the shooting," Bailey told them.

April covered her mouth as tears began to fill her eyes. Jackson said nothing and could only stare at the ground.

"I'm so sorry for you guys," Bailey said. She stood up and walked away.

"Charles."

"Charles is dead," April said.

"Just a few hours ago he was... and now," Jackson said.

"Now he is dead," April said.

"Charles is gone too," Jackson said.

"I can't believe it," April said.

"I don't want to believe it," Jackson said.

"Why did this happen?"

"I don't know."

"Now what?" April asked as she turned to Jackson.

"We go home," Jackson said.

"I don't want to go home," April said.

"Neither do I," Jackson said.

April rested her head on Jackson's shoulder and the two said nothing more, mourning the death of their friends in silence.
