A/N An apology to my readers. I just realized how badly I screwed up my timeline. Sarah was only gone two years, Alex and Morgan got married and had twins who are walking and talking already. There's also the fact that they didn't get together until season 5, which I choose to ignore. I apologize, but to rewrite all that, and to take out something I think is important to the story, can't do it. So please forgive the timey-wimey thing and remember it fits right in with the Chuck universe.

Oh yeah, also I figured out the family stuff doesn't fly with all of you… sorry, I like it, it's the core of Charah. There are many authors out there who will provide you with your sexual/adventure needs, seek and ye shall find, go on… off with you. This story is for those who enjoy whole people, lady feelings are not just for ladies. Chuck and Sarah have invited you into their lives, be polite.

Chapter 19:

The Fairyland of Love

Chuck leans forward his arms flat out across his desk, his forehead resting on the glass top. He gives out a solid moan, "Buddy, what am I gonna to do? The two women I love the most in the world, the two women I need the most, and one hates the other. What am I gonna do?"

Morgan pats his hand, "Look Pal, Ellie loves you. She's not gonna get between you and Sarah. It may take some time, but she'll eventually realize that things are the way they are."

Chuck snaps his body up, "Eventually! Eventually? that could take years."

Morgan nods, "But it'll take even longer, if you put off the inevitable meeting."

Chuck nods, "Right as usual. He looks up and catches Morgan's eyes. "I haven't told you how much I appreciate you covering me. And how impressed I am, at what a good job you did. I mean, I just dropped the shit on you and bugged out. Buddy, you're the best."

Morgan smiles, "Yeah, yeah, you're just complimenting yourself. If it weren't for you, I would still be stocking toasters at Buy More. You taught me everything I know. You helped me grow up enough, so Alex would want me. Buddy if anybody owes anybody, I owe you."

Chuck smiles, "Hey, maybe there's a reason we're pals for life. Nah, brothers for life. We've got each other's backs. I love you, Morgan."

Morgan sits back, "Ditto brother. Han, and Chewie all the way. Hey, I have an idea. The Chicago office is coming together nicely. It wouldn't hurt for the boss to show an interest."

Chuck reaches over and presses the intercom button, Mrs. Sawyers voice comes back immediately, "Yes Boss?"

Chuck looks across at Morgan. Morgan smiles. "Mrs. S would you please contact the Chicago office ask them if it would be convenient for me to drop in. Oh wait, first contact my sister. Ask her when she and Devon will be available, then set that up that date with Chicago. I'll be needing the company jet and a car with a child seat and driver, waiting in Chicago." Also see if you can get us four adult and one child ticket for Medieval times. Price isn't an issue, get us the VIP passes. Before you do all that, would you come in for a minute? Grab your pad please."

Mrs. Sawyer comes into the room. She sits in the chair next to Morgan. Chuck leans back, "Mrs. Sawyer please take a letter. To Whom It May Concern. This letter is to acknowledge and memorialize your role as an outstanding employee. You are someone who can be counted on in a crisis. You are someone who will step up and have my back with a moment's notice, no matter what personal difficulties that might cause.

You have shown a willingness to honor your obligation to this company and its personnel. I would be lying if I said that Carmichael Industries couldn't function without you. I would also be lying if I said, it would be with the same high standards, as much fun, and as happy a place.

At the very core of what makes CI work effectively, is our values. You epitomize those values. You care. You are family. You will be receiving a five percent pay raise and two additional vacation days annually, effective immediately.

New Paragraph: This letter also acknowledges that you are an outstanding parent, as evidenced by the exceptional son you raised. A true gentleman, smart, helpful, and respectful, a man I would be proud to call brother. Type that up and get it to me for my signature."

Mrs. Sawyer looks at Chuck weirdly, "Boss this may be the strangest letter you've ever dictated, to whom shall I address it?"

Chuck smacks his head, "Oops, I forgot that part. Address it to Mrs. Beatrice Sawyer, Personal Assistant/Office Manager, Carmichael industries. Copies to Payroll and HR. Morgan do you want to add anything?"

Morgan shakes his head, "Nope, I think you said it all, just add a space for my signature as well."

Mrs. Sawyer looks at Chuck, tears in her eyes. She swallows hard, and just stares. Without warning, she jumps up, runs behind the desk, and hugs Chuck. Stepping back, she stares at him and shakes her head, "Thank you Mr. B, Mr. G. I have to be honest; I would work for you guys for free." Pulling out her hanky she wipes her eyes, "If you'll excuse me, I have work to do." She steps around to hug Morgan then walks out the door still shaking her head.

Morgan laughs, "I don't know how you do it Pal, yet another woman who would kill for you."

Chuck shrugs, "Okay, so back to how do I approach my sister. You know the one who wants to kill my fiancée?"

Morgan stands up and slaps the desk with both palms, "Chuck, we both know that Ellie isn't going to kill Sarah. She loves you, she's concerned, but she loves you. She's angry with Sarah because Sarah hurt you. Once she sees that isn't going to happen again, she'll be fine."

Chuck nods, "I know all that Morgan, but how's she going to see that. How's she going to see that Sarah isn't going to hurt me again?"

Morgan walks around the desk and pats Chuck on the shoulder. "I saw you together for ten minutes and I knew. Give Ellie the benefit of the doubt. Remember, until the incident, Ellie loved Sarah like a sister. It'll come back to her. Give her a little time. I have to get back to work. I had to put a bunch of stuff aside to play Mr. B."

Chuck nods and smiles, "Oh I forgot to mention. The President is hiring us for a new project. We'll be screening and interviewing new hires for the intelligence communities. You'll be heading that up."

Morgan looks at Chuck, he moves his head side to side. "Oh, okay, no big deal. You neglected to mention that I'll be working for the President."

Chuck laughs so hard he starts to cough, "Relax Buddy, you'll be interfacing with General Beckman. You know how much she loves you. By the way, she got a promotion, don't forget to congratulate her when you talk."

Morgan grabs Chuck by the shirt and starts to shake him, "Love me? love me? The woman hates me. I think she tried to get Dad to shoot me."

Chuck is laughing so hard he starts to gasp for air. "Stop, stop, please stop. She's the one who told the President that you were the right man for the job. She doesn't hate you. She just thinks… you're weird."

Morgan lets go of Chuck's shirt, "Oh, well everyone thinks I'm weird. I think I'm weird. Okay back to work, later. Hey, wait a minute, what's all this, the President this, the President that? When did you become good buddies with the head guy?" Chuck shrugs. Morgan spits out a Bronx cheer and leaves.

Chuck stares at the door and starts laughing again. He says out loud to no one, "He is SOOO weird, but I love him."

Pressing the intercom button, "Mrs. S, I'm going up to my home for lunch. Don't warn Ms. Walker. I'm trying to catch her with her lover."

Mrs. Sawyers voice cracks as it comes out of the speaker, she sounds like she's in tears. "Okay Boss, but there's no way that woman has eyes for anyone but you."

Chuck gets up and opens the door. Mrs. Sawyer is typing on her computer, tears streaming down her face. "Mrs. S, are you okay?"

She looks up, then jumps out of her chair and hugs Chuck. "I'm just typing up your letter. It's so beautiful. I can't wait until I can tell my son what you said about him." She lets him go and returns to her desk. "You go enjoy your lunch with that beautiful young lady. I'll watch the office."

Chuck smiles, "Thanks Mrs. S, I can always count on you." He turns and heads to the private elevator. He rides it up to the penthouse apartments and walks into the entryway. He's deep in thought. Wow! I called this place home, that's the first time ever.

When he opens the door, he's immediately attacked by the twins screaming "Unca Chuck, Unca Chuck."

A smile crosses his face that goes from ear to ear. He bends and scoops his nephews up and kisses them both. They giggle and push his face away. He turns into the dining room and sees Sarah sitting with Alex. "Aha, I knew I'd find you with another man, but two, and they're so handsome. I don't stand a chance. I'll go pack my bags."

Sarah gets up laughing and gives him a big hug and kiss. Morgan Junior pushes her face away, "Hey, that's our Unca Chuck."

Sarah laughs, "Oh my goodness, I forgot. Will you share him with Auntie Sarah, just a little, pretty please?"

Little John nods, "Okay, but just a little."

Chuck laughs and sets the boys down. He bends to give Sarah a quick kiss. "Alex, I may have to move in with you guys, I think I've been replaced."

Sarah taps her chin, "Hmmmm, is that an option?"

Alex gets up, "Never you mind, these two are mine. You'll have your own soon enough. I see the way he looks at you. He's like a dog who hasn't eaten in weeks, and you're a big juicy steak. Come on boys, time to get some lunch."

Chuck puts his hands out, "Why? Stay and eat with us. We have homemade tamales and pizza. They were cooked by the President's personal chef."

Alex grabs the boys, "Boy you guys have turned into real name droppers. All buddy, buddy, with heads of state. Nope, I've already accomplished my mission. We fooled Sarah. I now have an unwitting Baby-sitter. She has no idea what's ahead. She thinks I'm doing her a favor. I can't let her see them eat, it's disgusting. See you guys at our place later. Dinner is at six. Bring your washable Kevlar." Alex lets out an evil laugh, "Bawah ha, ha," as she walks the boys out.

Sarah laughs as she wraps her arms around her husband, "I love your family. Those boys are so cute. I want to steal them." She puts her right hand against Chuck's left cheek, and sighs. She shrugs, "I have nothing left to say, except thank you. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for forgiving me. Thank you for my new family. Thank you."

Chuck bends and kisses her, "I love you too Sweetheart, but…" he goes to the fridge and gets a cold beer for each of them, "…You may not thank me for this next bit."

Sarah sits down and sips her beer, "Ellie?"

Chuck nods, "Ellie… Morgan and I talked it out. We agreed the best thing to do is throw you into the pit and let the two of you fight it out."

Sarah sighs, "Great, Thailand revisited."

Chuck furrows his brow, "Morgan told me that was a rough one. He said it involved cobras, embedded teeth, Thai leeches, and something about a giant blonde she-male. Sorry I missed it."

Sarah laughs, "You were having your own fun at the time." Sarah's eyes glaze over when she looks at him, "I almost lost you that time, Baby. I need you to promise me something. If I'm going to have our children, you have to swear, no more field work."

Chuck leans over and kisses her, "Mrs. Bartowski, you have my word, if you give me yours. The Bartowskis are no longer field agents, after we take care of Ryker."

Sarah clinks her bottle against his, "One last mission… Ryker, then we're done."

Chuck slams his bottle down, "You did not just say that." Grabbing Sarah, he pulls her over his knee. "We do not use that phrase in this house." He punctuates the sentence with a slap on her butt.

Sarah screams and kicks her legs, "Charles Bartowski, you let me up, this instant."

Chuck spanks her once more, then lets her up, "Yes Dear."

Sarah stands in front of him, hands on her hips. "Batman, did you just spank Mrs. Batman?"

Chuck smiles with an impish grin and nods.

Sarah looks at him angrily, "And did you immediately remove all her clothes, and have your way with her?"

Chuck shakes his head and looks ashamed.

Sarah grabs his hand and pulls him up, "Well get busy mister, I'm not gonna wait all day."

Sarah is lying in bed her head on Chuck's shoulder. Her left hand is playing with the hairs on his chest. "So Batman, if you're done abusing your wife, what's the plan with Ellie?"

Chuck lifts her chin, "Are you upset that I spanked you. It wasn't hard, I didn't hurt you, did I?"

Sarah laughs, "No Sweetheart, it was fun, you didn't hurt me at all. you're right we should never use those words, bad mojo. Now tell me about Ellie, before I bite you."

Chuck laughs, "Okay, okay, we're going to check in with the new office in Chicago. We'll introduce them to you, see how things are going. That way we can use the company jet. Then we'll stop in at the Awesomes. Hopefully everyone will survive. We might even sleep over. Then we'll be going to Medieval Times."

Sarah picks her head up, "What's that? Are you going to put me on the rack next. Is there something you're not telling me Chuck. Something important?"

Chuck laughs, "No Baby, no secret fetishes. It's a dinner theatre. We eat while the performers do horse tricks and joust. It's very cool and Clara loves it."

Sarah puts her arm across Chuck's chest and pulls herself tight to him. "That does sounds really cool. I've never been to a dinner theatre. Is it real jousting?"

Chuck rocks his hand back and forth, "Kind of. They're all stunt men. I don't want to tell you too much. I want to see your face when you watch it."

Sarah looks up at him, "My face? Aren't you going to watch the show?"

Chuck lifts her chin and kisses her. "I've seen the show many times, but I can never get enough of seeing you happy."

Sarah purrs as she lays against him, "I have the best husband ever."

Chuck smiles, "You should also know, Ellie may not be the only angry female. Clara is used to having me all to herself."

Sarah gasps, "Clara, she was just a little bean the last time I saw her. I can't blame Ellie. I screwed up royally. I'm never going to be able to make it up to everyone."

Chuck holds her tight, "Sarah who's everyone?"

Sarah rubs her head against his chest, snuggling in. "I don't know, I just know I feel awful."

Chuck laughs, "Well, so far everyone is fine with you being back. Alex is overjoyed to have you back. Mrs. Sawyer is already protecting you. Casey is glad we're together again and he doesn't have to take care of me anymore. Morgan, well Morgan likes that I'm happy again. We don't know how the Awesomes feel yet. So tell me Sarah, who's everyone? who got hurt the most?"

Chuck can feel Sarah's tears on his skin as she says, "Baby, I hurt you so bad."

Chuck sighs, "I won't lie to you Sweetheart, you did, but that was yesterday. Remember we left that in Italy. So tell me Sarah, who's everyone? Who still needs to forgive you?"

Sarah sighs, "I can't do it Chuck. I missed so much. I missed Clara and the twins, growing up. Baby I screwed up so bad. I don't deserve to be forgiven."

Chuck holds her tight, "You did Sarah. You screwed up really bad. Isn't it time to end all that pain and move on. I know I have. Truth is I should have stopped you. I should have followed you to Italy and begged you to come home. I didn't, I screwed up too. We're here now, we're married, stronger than ever. If you can forgive my mistakes, maybe you can save some of that understanding for yourself."

Sarah lifts her head, "Baby, how come you didn't come after me. I would have come home with you. I knew right away. I knew I'd made a big mistake."

Chuck pushes himself up to a sitting position, and sighs. Sarah sits up to look at him. Chuck shakes his head, "Baby, why do you want to bring all this up again? I thought we were done with the past."

Sarah looks at him with pleading eyes, "Please Chuck, tell me. Why didn't you come after me?"

Chuck crosses his arms and tears start to form in his eyes, "I told you already, because you didn't want me. Just like my parents didn't want me. I don't know what I would have done if you had pushed me away. I don't feel that way now. That was then, this is now. Please Sarah, why can't you let this go?"

Sarah places her hand on his chest, "Because I broke this heart. This wonderful, loving, caring, gentle heart. Baby I need you to know, I always wanted you. I just didn't believe I deserved you. How do I forgive myself for hurting you that way? I absolutely agree with Ellie, you should never have taken me back." Chuck laughs, Sarah gently smacks his arm, "It's not funny. Why are you laughing?"

Chuck opens his arms, "When did Ellie tell you that I shouldn't take you back? Come here, hug your husband." Sarah hesitates. "Listen to your husband. Or do I need to put you over my knee again?"

Sarah falls into his arms, and unenthusiastically says, "Fine. I'm here."

Chuck laughs again, "Sounds painful."

Sarah lifts her head and smiles, "Never, why were you laughing at me?"

Chuck holds her tight, "I wasn't laughing at you. I was laughing at the situation. You were afraid to come home, because of how I might feel. I was afraid to go to you, because of how you might feel. Now we're afraid to go see Ellie, because of how she might feel. Morgan reminded me, Ellie loved you like a sister. I'm betting all those feelings didn't vanish into thin air. We were both wrong before. We lost so much time living in that fear. Maybe we're wrong now.

One thing I know for certain… Clara is going to love you, just like I do. So, woman up, new Bartowski. We're going to Chicago. One way or another, we're going to move past this. I will not have my wife constantly beating herself up, over things we can't change."

After "lunch," Chuck and Sarah return to his office. Mrs. Sawyer is ready with a stack of mail, and papers. "All opened and sorted for you Sir. Boss forgive me if I'm out of line." she shakes her head, "I had no idea you were capable of smiling like that."

Chuck looks at the stack and smiles, "Never, Mrs. S, you're family. Never out of line. Ms. Walker, welcome to your first job. You get to handle correspondence. By the way Mrs. S, I'm not sure you know that Ms. Walker is a partner."

Mrs. Sawyer looks surprised, "Of course I knew that." She puts on a wide grin, "I simply figured she was your boss, and keeping an eye on things from a distance."

Sarah laughs and throws her arms around the older woman, "Mrs. S we're going to get along just fine."

Chuck shakes his head, "I knew it was coming, but I thought it would be Casey. Mrs. S., how's Chicago shaping up?"

Mrs. Sawyer picks up her pad and refers to her notes, "The Woodcombs are free this weekend and are looking forward to your visit. Dinner at their home Saturday night, at seven. Your sister did comment that she thought it strange that I was calling for you.

The plane will be ready Saturday morning, early, it's a four-hour flight, you lose two hours flying to Chicago. Your pilot will be standing by, and your car and driver will be waiting in Chicago. The Chicago office has been alerted to your arrival Saturday afternoon.

You have five reservations for Medieval times, for the Sunday matinee, I thought that best for little Clara. Sir, I hope you don't mind I took the liberty of ordering a bouquet and a nice bottle of wine, a spicy pinot noir, with a stork on the cork. And of course a little something for Clara. They'll be in the car when you arrive in Chicago."

Chuck laughs, "Mrs. S, you're still the best, but we brought back half of Italy for Clara. Tell the pilot to file his flight plan, departing at six A.M. local time. Returning Sunday night departing Chicago at 8 P.M..

I'll leave my car at the airfield. We may need a hotel room for Saturday night. Please check on availability. No reservation, unless the area is crowded, and when Ms. Walker tries to steal you, remember I need you more."

Sarah looks surprised as she takes the pile of mail, "Honey, don't be silly, I would never…," she leans over and whispers, "We'll talk later."

Mrs. Sawyer shakes her head, "Italy, huh! Sorry Ms. Walker, you're barking up the wrong tree. Where the boss goes, I go."

Sarah laughs as she follows Chuck into his office, "Funny, I feel exactly the same way."

Chuck walks around and sits behind his desk, "Hon, your office is ready for you, has been since we bought this building. However, if you like, I would be more than happy to share mine with you."

Sarah looks shocked, "Why would there be an office for me?"

Chuck leans back, "All the partners have an office, yours was available anytime you wanted to use it. Had you come to use it, I would probably have gone to the Chicago office. But it is your right as a partner."

Sarah walks around the desk and sits in Chuck's lap, "You know in the last two days, both Casey and Zondra called you a man of integrity. I'm going to add my voice to the choir. Chuck Bartowski, you are a man of amazing conscience. I can't think of anyone better to raise my children to be good people. Thank you for loving me." Sarah kisses Chuck but doesn't stop there. She reaches up and starts to unbutton his shirt.

Chuck gently moves her hand away. "Baby do you realize it's Tuesday afternoon. I have three days, to get caught up before we go to Chicago. It's settled. You'll use your own office, or I'll never get any work done."

Sarah laughs, "Yes Boss. I'm sure you know best. But, trust me, you won't be able to stop me. I will have you, right here on this desk."

Chuck takes a deep breath, "You realize that I'll have to report this behavior to HR as sexual harassment."

Sarah shrugs as she gets up and starts to go through the mail, "Go for it. I've got so much dirt on the CEO, I'm not worried. Report away. Hon what am I supposed to do with this mail? I have no idea what's going on."

Chuck smiles, "I know Babe I was hoping I could keep you busy for ten minutes so I could get some work done. Tell you what, I'll trade you. I'll take the mail. You can look through these employment applications and make recommendations."

Sarah sits in the chair opposite Chuck and puts her feet on the desk spreading them, her skirt riding up, "Hon look, I found my undies."

Chuck sits back and slumps in defeat, "Damn you Sarah Bartowski."

Sarah gets up and presses the intercom button. There's an immediate answer, "Yes Boss."

Sarah smiles, "Mrs. Sawyer please hold all our calls. I don't want to be disturbed for about an hour. I'll be in private conference with my partner."

Mrs. Sawyer laughs, "On it Boss. Ms. Walker, it's nice to have you here. I've never seen Mr. B so happy."

Sarah is straightening her clothes when Chuck pushes the intercom button, "Mrs. Sawyer, our conference is over. Please show Ms. Walker to her office and lock her in there. I need to get some work done."

The door opens and Mrs. Sawyer walks in. "Mr. B., I can't believe you're blaming this innocent young woman for distracting you. It's obvious she wants nothing more, than to make you happy. Come on Ms. Walker. You also need to fill out some paperwork for HR. Isn't it just like a man to blame a woman when he can't decide which head to think with."

Sarah looks at the woman shocked, "MRS. SAWYER!"

Mrs. Sawyer shakes her head, "What? Honey, I have a few years on me. I'm not dead."

Chuck and Sarah laugh. Chuck holds out the stack of applications. "I'm not going to survive this am I?"

Sarah laughs an evil laugh as she walks out the door, with the folders. "Not if I can help it." She walks out and closes the door.

Chuck opens his travel case and puts a picture on his desk, "Yeah, but what a way to go."

The rest of the day passes quickly. Chuck is finally able to get some work done with Sarah otherwise occupied. At five o'clock Sarah walks into his office unannounced, She drops the files on Chuck's desk, climbs into his lap and kisses him. Then rests her head on his shoulder. She whispers into his ear. "I missed you. Boss, I know why you gave me those files."

Chuck puts his arms around her and holds her tight, "I missed you too. I gave them to you because I value your opinion. So what did you think, any viable candidates?"

Sarah kisses his ear lobe, "Well there was one of particular interest."

Chuck acts surprised. He places his hand on her thigh. "I love to touch your skin, which file was that?"

Sarah snuggles into him, "I love when you touch me too. Remember the last time you touched my naked thigh? You got in big trouble and wound up getting married. Has Carina been trying to get into your pants for the last two years?" She nibbles on his earlobe with her teeth and tongue, "Don't lie to me husband."

Chuck shivers, "Have I ever lied to you, wife? I hadn't heard from her until we got that application. Casey and I were discussing it when the President called. Actually, there was one time when I lied to you. When I told you I was okay with you being with someone else. I was lying big time."

Sarah sighs, "Yeah, I was lying then too. Let's not talk about that. Not my finest hour. So why is Carina asking you for a job?"

Chuck looks at her, "Baby, she's your friend. Why don't you call her and ask her?"

Sarah sighs, "Okay, maybe tomorrow, right now we need to get ready. I have a date with my two boyfriends. We need to grab their presents and head over there. I haven't even been to their house." She shakes her head, "So much to catch up on. Any word on Ryker?"

Chuck presses the intercom button, "Yes Boss?"

"Mrs. S, Sarah and I are headed to the Grimes home. I'll take my personal car, please let the driver know, he won't be needed tonight."

Chuck stands and takes her hand as he heads for his elevator, "Casey is working the problem, he'll let me know if something pops."

After freshening up and changing, they grab the gifts they purchased in Italy. They take Chuck's elevator down to the garage level. Chuck presses his key fob and Sarah turns in the direction of the beep. She sees a jet-black 2010 Mustang GT convertible sitting in a space marked Mr. Carmichael. Walking over she sees an empty space marked Ms. Walker, she smiles. "You really do go all the way, don't you Mr. Carmichael?"

Chuck looks at her, "You know when I gave you your ring, you said I knew you were coming back, but I didn't. I guess all these things, tell you how much I was hoping, wishing."

Sarah laughs, "Well, be careful what you wish for, you may get it. Now you're stuck with me, forever. You may regret your wish someday. Any special reason my space is right next to yours?"

They load the trunk with the gifts from Italy, then Chuck opens the passenger door for Sarah. "I may regret my wish, but somehow, I don't think so. Your space? Hmmmm, I couldn't think of a better place for it."

Chuck closes her door and walks around to take a seat behind the wheel. Sarah is running her hands over the leather interior. "Nice car Baby. It suits you."

Chuck turns the key to start the engine. The radio comes on, playing a song by Cake, "I bought it shortly after you left. I was hoping it would lift my spirits. It didn't, until today. It's custom built. It's no Nerd Herder, but it does have a Kevlar ragtop, a 4.6-liter V8 engine, three hundred horsepower, six on the floor, bullet proof glass, ceramic armor-plated reinforced sides, and bottom, a reinforced frame, and bumpers, for ramming, also a retractable steel plate to protect the rear window."

Sarah stares at him, surprised, "Chuck, you bought a spy car."

Chuck shrugs, "Or a Security Specialist's car. Clients are impressed with the weirdest things. A ride in this car has won me more than one contract."

Chuck drives out to the Grimes home about two miles from CI, but in L.A. traffic a half-hour ride. Chuck asks, "Sarah, will you be needing a car? You can always use the company car and driver when you're not with me. You can also use the Mustang."

Sarah reaches over and puts her hand over Chuck's on the gearshift, "Baby, you would share your car with me? That is so sweet. I think I'm going to wait a while to decide. I'm hoping that I won't be going too many places without you. I'm also hoping that it won't be long before I need a mom car. Something safe for little Bartowskis."

Chuck turns and gives her a quick smile, "I like the way you think woman. For the record, everything we have is ours, not mine. Except for my office during business hours. I need to be able to get some work done. I'm so far behind. I have clients to meet, contracts to review. I have an entire company to oversee. Once we go international, I'm really going to need your help."

Sarah squeezes his hand, "Baby, I hope I can help out with some of that, but until I catch up, I'll just take care of you, okay?"

Chuck pulls into the driveway of the Grimes home, next to the minivan, "That sounds like a solid plan, Mrs. Bartowski," he leans over and kisses her.

Chuck gets out, walks around, and opens the door for Sarah. "Chuck, you know you don't need to do that. I'm not a helpless female."

When Sarah stands up, Chuck kisses her. "I don't do it because you're helpless. I do it because I want to be helpful to you. Plus I really like it when you get out of the car in your short skirts."

Sarah laughs as they move to the back of the car to retrieve the packages, "My husband the letch. Baby why can't we tell Morgan and Alex we're married? They won't be upset. I think they'll be happy for us?"

Chuck stands there his hands full of shopping bags. He sighs, "Sarah I wish I knew how Morgan would react. I got married without him there. I was his best man. Can I even tell him who married us? You know I want to." Chuck leans on his car, "I don't know what to do."

Alex sticks her head out the front door, "You guys better get in here before the boys put a new door where there isn't one now. They saw Uncle Chuck's car drive in."

Sarah laughs as she carries her bundles up the path to the door. Walking into the living room she's horrified. The house is a disaster area, toys, and clothes, strewn everywhere. A large dog is eating something off the floor and the twins are in diapers, screaming and kicking Morgan as he struggles to hold them.

Morgan looks up and smiles, "I can see by your face, Chuck didn't warn you. Welcome to Casa Del Grimes. Please sign the liability waiver at the door as you enter. I hope you've had all your shots." Chuck closes the door and Morgan lets the twins go. They immediately run over and start pulling on Chuck to come play. Morgan joins them as they head to the boys' room to give the ladies some space.

Alex looks at Sarah and starts laughing, "Thinking of becoming a nun? Relax Sarah, it's not always this bad. Remember Morgan and I have been covering for Dad and Chuck all week. We haven't had much time to play catch up, but we didn't want to wait to have you over. You're family, no secrets here. Unless you count the wedding bands you guys are trying to hide."

Sarah instinctively covers her left hand. Alex walks over to hug her. "Congrats sweetie. We figured out that Chuck didn't want to hurt Morgan, but it's hard to put one over on him."

Sarah hugs her back, "Alex we really wanted to tell you. We've been struggling with it. Chuck was so afraid it would hurt Morgan that we got married without him there."

Alex walks Sarah over to the dining room table and pours her a glass of wine, "Does Dad know?"

Sarah takes a deep breath, "He arranged the whole wedding and gave the bride away."

Alex looks astonished, "My dad arranged a wedding? By the way he'll be coming over for dessert. He wanted to give us young'uns some time to reacquaint."

Sarah nods, "Start to finish. He saved us. He made Chuck give me another chance. He had us locked up for three days, together. Chuck was not happy."

Alex laughs, "Well he looks pretty happy now. You should save the story. I'm sure Morgan will want to hear it. I hope you like Lasagna, cause if you don't, you're gonna be very hungry."

Sarah laughs, "Love it."

Chuck comes running into the room, followed by two laughing kids, and a laughing dad. Morgan runs over and hugs Sarah, "I'm sorry Mrs. Bartowski, I didn't give you a proper welcome, congratulations."

Chuck looks up shocked, "SARAH!"

Sarah laughs, "I didn't tell, I promise. Alex told me."

Alex gets up and puts the boys in their highchairs, "She speaks the truth Bartowski."

Morgan laughs as he grabs Chuck, "Come on Buddy, did you think you could hide this from me? I'm not an idiot. Don't sweat it, I'm happy for you. But I get to be best man next time."

Chuck hugs Morgan tight, "Buddy, you're the best man every time. How did you figure it out? You're not upset?"

Morgan shakes his head, "Chuck, you haven't worn that Shazam ring in years. All it took was one close look and I saw the wedding band. I was a little upset, but I could see why you didn't want to wait to close the deal. I mean, she is a runner." Morgan laughs.

Sarah gets up, "Morgan Grimes, how dare you. Just for that I'm not going to let Chuck tell you who married us."

Chuck looks at Sarah angrily, "Baby, you know better, we can't discuss that."

Morgan gets excited, "Was it Elvis? Is he alive? Was it really Elvis? Was Elvis at the White House with you and The President?

Chuck laughs, "Pal I could let you guess all night, and you would never get it, especially since we were never at the White House."

Alex laughs, "Come on dinner time. I need to get the kids fed, so Sarah can bathe them and read them a bedtime story."

Sarah sits at the table, "Me?"

Alex nods as she puts the plates out, "By special request, seems MJ has a little crush on Auntie Sarah." She tickles him, "Isn't that right my little pint-sized lothario?" MJ giggles.

Chuck helps bring the food in from the kitchen while Sarah helps Morgan feed the boys their already cooled lasagna, carrot chips, green pepper slices, and cherry tomatoes. She laughs as the food goes flying everywhere, the dog cleaning up every bit that hits the floor. Chuck bends to kiss her cheek, he whispers, "I love you Mrs. Bartowski, you do realize, that you'll never get those clothes clean again?"

Sarah smiles, and shrugs her shoulders, "I want at least two, maybe more."

Alex brings out the hot lasagna, salad, and garlic bread. The group digs in, Chuck takes a taste of his lasagna and exclaims, "Alex this is delicious, just like Mama's cooking."

Morgan looks at Chuck, "What are you talking about Buddy? Your mom never made lasagna. She made the world's best lemon bars, but I don't remember any lasagna. HEY! Were you food cheating on me?"

Sarah laughs, "No Morgan, Mama was…"

Chuck interrupts her, "SARAH! Have you forgotten all your training, what's up with you?"

Sarah is upset, "Chuck, I don't want to be a spy anymore. This is our family. If we can't trust them, who can we trust? I'm so tired of the secrets, the lies."

MJ starts to struggle in his highchair. "Auntie Sarah is sad. She needs a MJ hug. I go down." LJ Starts to cry.

Chuck gets up and lifts MJ out of his chair and puts him in Sarah's lap, then he puts his arms around her. "I know Baby, I get it."

Sarah hugs MJ tight and kisses Chuck on the cheek, "I know baby, I know you understand. One more of the fun things I put you through, making you lie to your family."

Morgan picks up LJ and puts him on Sarah's lap, "Double your pleasure, double your cleaning bill." Sarah laughs as she pulls LJ into her hug. "We all get it Sarah, I watched Chuck in pain for years, having to lie to us. Alex was smart, she never wanted any part of the spy life." Morgan and Alex add their arms to the group hug.

The door opens and Casey walks in, "Oh Jeez, Bartowski is at it again."

The twins jump off Sarah's lap, "Grandpa, Grandpa."

Casey puts down the pastry box he's holding and picks the boys up. They kiss Casey on the cheeks, putting tomato sauce all over his face and shirt. MJ makes a pouty face, "Auntie Sarah is sad."

Casey puts the boys down, "What happened Walker? Did you finally take a good look at Bartowski and realize what you've done?"

Sarah looks up, she strokes Chuck's face, "The name is Bartowski, and he's gorgeous."

The group all stare at Casey. He sits down, "Damn spies cannot keep a secret."

All of them start laughing, even the boys. Sarah pulls Chuck's face to hers, "It's a gorgeous, beautiful face and I love it, and that is neither a secret nor a lie." She kisses him.

Casey shakes his head, "Bartowskis, we need to talk, and I need a cigar, outside."

Sarah gets up, "Sorry Grandpa. I have a previous engagement with two unbelievably cute boys. You can wait, Alex, shall we?" Alex and Sarah each grab a twin and head off to the bathroom.

Casey looks at Chuck, "Is she okay?"

Chuck smiles, "she's having a little adjustment anxiety. She's starting to realize what she missed out on and feeling some guilt. We're going to Chicago this weekend. I think that has her a little… no, a lot worried. We'll be okay, thanks for caring John." Casey grunts.

Morgan starts to clear the table, "Sarah almost told us where you were last week. Chuck stopped her. She really wanted to tell us. I think she really needs us to know. You know, so we can be her family and share it with her. By the way, I figured out they were married. They didn't tell us, but I'm glad we know." Morgan walks into the kitchen.

Casey gets up, "Follow me Boss." Casey walks back to the bathroom where the boys are playing in the tub. "Alex, can we have a minute?"

Alex gets up, "Sure, keep a close eye on the boys. Sarah is new at this. Back in five." She leaves and closes the door behind her.

Casey closes the lid and sits on the toilet. Chuck stands behind Sarah as she stays focused on the twins. "We were on a ship, you can't say which one, where, why, when, or how long. You can name people, best to use job titles, when possible. You can tell the story of your wedding and anything personal you shared. You can even tell them about Mama and Papa. They knew you were stationed in Italy.

Don't mention Batman, or that he flew. Keep any mention of the President, brief and vague. No mention of the asshole or his people. Sarah, I know you know all this, how it works. I also know this is important to you. So is national security and my family. They don't need to know anything that will put them in jeopardy. It's almost over. You need to hang on, just a little longer. You know we have your back. Any questions?"

Sarah nods her head, "Chuck will you watch the boys for a moment?" Sarah moves over, hugs Casey and whispers in his ear. Casey's eyes tear up.

Casey growls, "Damn you, new Bartowski. Now look what you've done." He gets up and walks out of the bathroom.

Chuck is still by the side of the tub, playing with the boys. Sarah moves back over, to help him, "What'd you say?"

Sarah smiles, "I told him, I wished he was my real dad."

The door opens and Alex comes back in, "All right let's get these critters to bed, so we can relax. I don't know what went on in here, but Dad took off for his smoking spot like a bat out of hell."

Sarah grabs a towel and wraps it around MJ, lifting him out of the tub. Alex does the same with LJ. Sarah gives MJ a big kiss, "Boys, your Auntie Sarah is going to tell you a story. Then Uncle Chuck and I are going to tell Mommy and Daddy a story too. What do you think about that?"

LJ and MJ smile. MJ says, "Auntie Sarah is going to tell me a story, YAY! I love Auntie Sarah."

Sarah hugs him tight, "Auntie Sarah loves both of you too. Now let's go pick out that story, or I can tell you the one about the handsome nerd wizard who rescued the damsel in distress and saved her life, using his magic power called love."

MJ starts kicking as they get to the bedroom, "Yeah, tell me that one."

Chuck follows them into the boys' room and shows Sarah how to diaper MJ. Alex finishes up with LJ. Both boys are in PJ's and tucked in. Sarah begins her story, "Once upon a time there was a young girl, who lived in the magical Fairyland of Love. She was very sad, because she didn't really understand the power of love.

Then one day she met a man. A very, very, special man, in a castle called Buymoria, and she felt something strange and wonderful. It was something she had never felt before…"

Chuck and Alex quietly leave the room, Alex turns to Chuck, "You know, I think that woman is not the Sarah who left." She hugs Chuck, "Way to use that magic power, handsome nerd wizard."

Chuck smiles as he hugs her back, "I think Casey brought cake, He also said Sarah can tell you guys about our wedding, I guess this is her night for stories."

A/N I'm guessing you're a little pissed at me right about now, there are so many threads that need to be pulled, Ellie, Ryker, The Wedding. I'm writing as fast as I can, just to give you a heads up, I have no idea what's going to happen next. I sit down at my computer and the characters start talking to me, then I start writing. When I started this chapter, it was my intention to end it in Chicago after Sarah and Ellie meet again. It's a bummer that didn't happen. However, Sarah was enjoying the twins so much I just couldn't take them away from her. Sarah seducing Chuck in his office surprised me as much as Chuck, and the spanking bit, I can honestly say, did not see that coming. Let me remind you, this story was originally around ten chapters or so. So, if you can put up with my meandering, there'll be more next week. By the way if Casey doesn't stop calling me names, I'm going to give him an ingrown toenail. Then he'll know who the REAL boss is.
