I do not own Trolls or these songs. I have looked at all the song requests in the comment section in Lone Concert and I will do what I can to not only add those songs but maybe even more. Hope y'all enjoy!

It's been a day since they had all invaded Branch's trust without him knowing and watched him sing for Poppy. Holly said wouldn't tell Branch but she was not going to join them if they were going to continue to watch. They all had their hesitations of doing that. They were just now starting to get Branch's trust back; they didn't want to lose over something like this. Clay thought he would go ask his girl for advice. He loved being able to say that about her. So was playing her tunes for the village to hear and it was a pretty dope song if he did say to himself.

You're preachin' to the choir, stop hatin' on yourself

Quit playin' with your mind, you're spinnin'

If you think that I'm a liar, just try it for yourself

The clouds will open up, blue skies are willing

Yeah, I know it's so hard to throw away

The clouds will open up, blue skies are willing

He loved watching Suki sing. She always had this energy that made him want to loosen up a bit. She never judged him or labeled him to one thing. He was everything in her eyes. Not just the Funny Fun Guy or the Serious Boy but just Clay. He has felt more like himself since being with her than he has felt in a long time.

Back on your feet again, lift your head, hold it high

You wanna run it back, but you can't turn the time

You start to feel like you're losing your shine

But the grass ain't always greener on the other side

Other side, got you stuck in your mind

You start to feel like you're losing your shine

But the grass ain't always greener on the other side

The other siblings and their spouses were all out enjoying the weather hearing about Branch's singing and how they wished he would feel comfortable to go back. When Clay had mentioned talking to Suki about the whole thing they put off telling their wives and husband that they were thinking about spying again. They saw Clay and decided to join him when talking to Suki since she knows Branch best.

Hey you, stop stressin' 'bout what you're missin'

So blue, just take it easy, take your time

If you think my words are wise, just try it for yourself

I promise the stars will light the path you walk, don't give in

Got a heart of gold, what a shame to go to waste

The clouds will open up, blue skies are willing

Back on your feet again, lift your head, hold it high

You wanna run it back, but you can't turn the time

You start to feel like you're losing your shine

(Losing your shine, shine)

Brandy liked listening to Suki play. She seems to really be at home at her turntables. Brandy knew that Clay had gotten into more of a habit to help her clean up after each of her sets. As an excuse to spend more time with her. Brandy thought that the two were extremely cute together and hoped that she would become a sister-in-law soon.

But the grass ain't always greener on the other side

Other side (feet again, lift your head, hold it high)

Got you stuck in your mind (run it back, but you can't turn the time)

You start to feel like you're losing your shine

But the grass ain't always greener on the other side

Just take it from me, you'll be okay (you'll be okay)

'Cause it don't matter how sweet it taste (how sweet it taste)

The grass ain't greener, don't worry

Losin' sleep, still wanna get

Yeah, you get

Clay knew that the song was coming to an end and started to head up towards her. Since they started dating Branch kindly set up a small studio for her to rehearse in one of the now spare rooms in the bunker. Clay will listen to her work on her set and he will read his book, but not a book club book. When Suki had asked to join his Sad Book Club his heart soared. The two now sit together on their own together ready tragic books. HIs was his new favorite part about the book club.

Back on your feet again, lift your head, hold it high

You wanna run it back, but you can't turn the time

You start to feel like you're losing your shine

But the grass ain't always greener on the other side

You start to feel like you're losing your shine

But the grass ain't always greener on the other side

When Clay made it way up and helped clean up Suki's equipment the others had followed and asked if they could also talk to her about something. She said sure and led them to her not very big pod but it did the trick for now. Suki made a pod of tea and sat everyone down and asked them what they wanted to know. "What's up?" She saw Clay twiddle with his fingers unsure how to start. "It's about Branch." Suki felt a little uneasy. She felt terrible over the fact that she wasn't exactly close before he startedto date Poppy and she felt like today she was going to lose some brownie points she already had with the Timberlake family.

"Look I already told you I wasn't going to tell Branch that JD and Val are his real parents but you know he does need to tell him, so if this is what this is all about then." Suki started to nervously rant. "What JD is Branch's father?" Riff asked, confused. Suki stopped speaking after hearing that. Floyd just grabbed Riff's hand and gave a tight smile. "Riff, you already knew that." Riff thought about it for a moment before giving a toothy grin and nodding like a surfer. "Oh yeah. Right. Sorry dude, continue." Suki looked around unsure how to continue. "This isn't about that. And John said that he has a plan that should lead to the least likely outcome of Branch hating his guts so I say he's good. All he has to do is to get Val on board." Barb explained to the DJ who just nodded slowly back at her. "Ok so um what did you want to know about Branch?" She asked curiously.

The Timberlake family all looked back at one another. "Ok so here's the deal." Clay started to explain. "While we were on a walk we saw Branch leading Poppy somewhere and before we could catch up to him they entered a clearing and." Suki reallized what they wanted to talk to her about. "He sang to her." Suki said, smiling to herself. They did not miss the knowing look Suki had in her eyes. "You know what we're talking about." Spruce said in more of a statement than a question. "Yeah several months back before the whole Bergan thing. The Snack Pack and Poppy were close to Branch's bunker because at the time Poppy was insistent on trying to get Branch to join a party. Well it had started to rain and we got a little lost and then we heard someone singing. We followed the noise and for the first time ever we saw Branch sing. It was a sad song but it was one of the best things we had ever heard. It's his secret spot but with him singing more and more it seems to be becoming less of a secret." Suki said that last bit more to herself.

Suki then looked up and saw the conflict in their eyes and knew what they were thinking. "I wouldn't." She said before she realized what it would mean to do so. "Do what?" Brandy asked curiously. Suki sighed before giving away the one thing she really did not want to say. "Don't try to go back and catch him singing. It's his time to open up and express himself in a way that otherwise is difficult for him. Also we had made the same mistake and continued to go back because we liked his singing. Not realizing that deeper thought and when he found out it was bad." Suki still felt sick thinking back to that day. The others saw the sad look in her eyes. A look filled with regret and guilt.

"What happened if you don't mind me asking?" Carol said carefully. Suki sat there silently for a moment debating whether or not she would tell them. She was a little scared that they would hate her for hurting Branch. "At the time Branch and Poppy were dating. He had just confessed his feelings and that spot to her. Opening up more than he had ever done in the past twenty or so years. Trust her and us and we ruin it. He found out he had been spying on him and lying about it. We were just gainning his trust too. Him being grey there wasn't a lot of us who wanted to try to really get to know each other, him. Us hearing those songs helped us understand him more and try harder with him." Suki said not wanting to say the worst part.

Brandy placed a hand on Suki's knee and tried to look her in the eyes. "I'm sure it's not as bad as you think it was." Trying to assure the other troll, but Suki just shook her head as she plopped her forehead in her hands rubbing her temples. "He and Poppy broke up because he was so hurt. Poppy was a wreck and Branch was greyer than ever before." Suki admitted. There was silence in the room. She wanted to cry. The crimes of her past will cost her her future. Then she felt Clay wrap his arms around her in a hug which she leaned into. "Thank you for telling us." Clay told her as he nuzzled his nose in her hair. Suki gasped. "Wait, you don't hate me?" She moved back to get a better look at Clay with tears in her eyes. Clay wiped a stray tear away from her face. "Why would we hate you?" Clay asked worriedly. "I hurt Branch. I had betrayed your brother's trust." Suki stuttered out.

They all thought about it for a moment before giving her a smile. "And we haven't. We all have hurt Branch, but because of your experience you helped us see a way to not hurt him again." Spruce said, holding Brandy's hand as she leaned into her husband. "Also please don't be mad at Poppy, we were both nervous about telling all of you this." Suki begged. "As far as we are concerned that is an issue left between Poppy and Branch not us." Floyd answered her. Suki felt like a giant weight had been lifted from her chest; she smiled back at Clay as she leaned into him. "So was that all you wanted to talk about?" Suki asked as she saw Riff take the used, dirty dishes and head to her kitchen to wash them; he is a good guest. "Yeah, kind of. Thank you by the way. I know it wasn't easy." Brandy said to the rose colored DJ. Suki just nodded back, biting her bottom lip.

"Can I ask you something?" Suki felt like a little kid. "Sure." Barb said, putting her arm around Carol. "You said Branch brought Poppy to that spot right and sang?" Suki asked. The others just side eyed one another and hesitantly nodded. "He hasn't been there since the break up so I am just happy that he felt like he could go back and open up like that again. And do it with Poppy." Suki said, explaining. Her guests finally understood where she was coming from and smiles began to grace their faces as well. Brandy really did like Suki. "Hey in a few days Spruce and I are going to try to have a family pinic/ BBQ sort of thing. Our first real family event not including the wedding. I hope you will be able to join us." Brandy asked the now blushing troll. She was being invited to her boyfriend's family event. "Yeah sure." Suki weakly said. She caught Clay's smile and she was happy to be included. She liked this feeling. "I'll stop by to pick you up?" Clay asked her. She nodded back. Suki then wondered something. "Where is John?"

John had been waiting outside of Val's pod for the last half hour trying to psych himself up to talking to her. He never remembered it being this hard to knock on her door. Ever. He was finally fed up with himself and was about to knock when the door just flew open spooking him. It had scared him so bad that he had fallen bewards feeling more than a little embarassed as he saw Val just leaning up against the door frame with her hand over her mouth trying to stop herself from laughing at him. "Need some help old man?" He just grumbled to himself about not being that old. "Ha. Ha. Ya. Oh. I've fallen and I can't get up. Very funny." John said now back on his feet looking at her. "So what did you need?" Val asked, still in a teasing mood. No matter what might have happened between the two Val knew one thing was for sure. John Dory will always be her best friend. "We need to talk. About Branch." John said seriously. Val just moved out of the way silently, letting him into her home.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Val asked. John turned to her as she shut the door. He took a deep breath already knowing what she was going to say, but he needed to say it anyway. "What if we got back together." John blurted out causing Val to trip over herself from shock. "What?" She almost laughed out still not believing what she just heard. "Let me explain." John said as he led her over to her sofa area and they sat down. "You know Poppy right. Branch's girlfriend." Val nodded slowly still not really understanding where all this was coming from. "So she found out that we used to date. Nothing more than that I promise, but she will probably try to come up with some plan to get us together. Not that I don't want to be with you. I wouldn't even be suggesting this if I didn't want to be with you." John started to ramble and Val placed a hand on his arm to steady him, still not completely able to follow him. "So, what if we try to take things slow, not just for us but also for Branch. We do small double dates with him. He gets to know us better, we get to know him better. And if I am being completely honest I really do miss you V. I miss us. Also when we tell Branch who we are to him he might take it better." John finished much more calmly.

Val was silent for some time realling in all of the information that had just been given to her. "John, you know why we said to wait to try again." She tried to argue, but if she was admitting to herself she wanted John back too. John knew she was having doubts. Her voice betrayed her thoughts. He placed her hands in his and pulled her close. "I still love you with everything I have V." John's voice became a little husky. Val look up into his eyes and she slowly closed her and closed the space between them and kissed John. His hand went to the back of her neck pulling her closer and she gripped his back and shoulders hugging him. When they pulled back they saw stars in their eyes. "Promise me this will work. Promise me with won't blow up in our faces." Val begged. John took his hand from behind her neck and cupped her cheek grazing his thumb against it. He then used that hand to brush away some stray hair in her face. "I can't V. Believe me I wish I could but I won't lie to you. I will never lie to you. This all could end badly but I am willing to risk everything if it meant I could be with you again. If it meant we could be a family again. I am willing to risk it. So what I am trying to ask are you?" John said looking her straight in the eyes so she would know that he had meant every single word he had said.

"I will be willing to take this risk if you do promise me one thing and this will make or break my answer John." Val said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and his hands found her waist. They fit so perfectly together. "Promise me that if this does end badly we will still be friends. You are my best friend John. I can't go through life without you in it. I won't ruin that. So promise me we will still be friends no matter what." Val said into the crook of his neck. John was taken back by this. His arms closed tighter around her waist holding her against his body. Afriad that if he let go of her he would lose her again. "I promise V. No matter what happens. You will never lose me." John said, determined. He had failed once to be there for the people who mattered most to him. He was never going to let that happen again.
