Nosy the Fluff was working hard on its lessons, learning which way around to place the wooden blocks with the patterns on them that Ianto called letters, and how to group the letters together to form the words that were human speech.

'GOOD MORING TOSH' it spelled out, then nudged two of the letters apart and dropped an N in the gap.

"Good morning, Nosy," Tosh replied, bending to pet the Fluff. "How are you today?"

'I AM VERY WELL THANK YOO.'

"That you should be a U at the end, not another O, young Fluff," Ianto corrected, bringing Tosh her morning coffee.

'O. THANK YOU IANTO.'

"You're welcome." Ianto set Nosy's coffee mug beside it on the floor.

'COFFEE. YUM. MANY THANKS.'

Smiling, Ianto ruffled the thick, green fur. "Your spelling is really coming along well. So is your vocabulary."

'WHAT IS VOCABURY. IS IT LIKE CHOCOLATE.'

Ianto laughed. "You're thinking of Cadbury's; not the same thing at all. V-O-C-A-B-U-L-A-R-Y. That means all the words you know how to use."

'I KNOW LOTS OF WORDS.'

"And you're learning more every day," Tosh said. "Your spelling is better than Jack's."

Ianto smirked. "Jack only misspells things to get my attention."
