Another month, another alien invasion, and once again the aliens in question are insisting that resistance is futile. That's the thing about aliens, or at least the kind that think invading earth is their right. They're always so certain that they'll win, that the human race can't possibly put up any kind of organised resistance, that everyone on the planet will simply cave to their demands.
Obviously, they've never met Torchwood.
Okay, so a small band of humans standing up to an invading army might seem foolhardy, but as Jack likes to point out, it's not what you've got, it's how you use it, and this isn't their first rodeo, not by a long shot.
So, in come the aliens, absolutely convinced of their superiority, not just in terms of numbers and size, but technologically. Their weapons are more advanced than anything developed on earth, but Torchwood has more advanced weaponry too, and technology from dozens of worlds.
It's quite funny watching the invading army shaking their weapons, which have all been rendered useless by a jamming device. Even funnier watching them run for their ships because Torchwood's weapons still work just fine.
Jack smirks. "They won't try that again."
