Summary: Ianto is having problems with the latest alien creature in his care.

During the time Ianto had been working for Torchwood Three, he'd grown accustomed to getting lumbered with the care and feeding of the various alien residents in the vaults.

Some were simple to look after: Hoix would eat anything organic, and Weevils were happy enough with dry dog food and the occasional rat. Others required slightly more careful handling, either due to their toxicity or habitat requirements. But whatever creatures the Rift delivered, Ianto always did his best to make them as comfortable as possible.

"Jack?"

"Yes, Ianto?"

"About that alien you brought in last night."

"The Ooooblick?"

"According to you."

"What about it?"

"You told me it was a vegetarian, that in its native habitat it mainly eats grasses, leaves, and berries."

"That's right."

"Well, I think there must be something wrong with it. I've been trying to tempt it with everything I can think of, but it's refusing to eat. Can you take a look at it? I don't want to call Owen in unless I have to."

Following Ianto down to the cells, Jack looked at the newcomer and grinned. "Ah, I see what the trouble is!"

"You do?"

"Yes, you're trying to feed the wrong end."
