Tropical Island: Day…
Sasuke dismounted the snake he road in on. "This should be where I need to be." He nodded back at the snake that ferried him here. "You can return to Tsuki."
"As you wish summoner." The snake returned.
In a poof of smoke, he was gone; however, Sasuke was only alone for mere moments before nearby bushes shook.
"Who's there?" Sasuke had taken out a kunai before a middle-aged man, wearing red clothing, came out. "Who are you?"
"At ease, child." The man answered. "I am a Fire Sage."
"Seems to check out." Sasuke slowly put his kunai away. "I see."
"Tell me, what are you doing on this island?" The sage asked.
"I was on my way to the Fire Nations with Avatar Korra." Sasuke began and noticed that seemed to strike something within the sage. "We were attacked on open waters, so I had her leave me behind to handle it. A lot happened, and I was directed here as the place she should be."
"Ah, you must be that Shinobi who helped Republic City with her." The sage turned. "Please, follow me. I shall take you to where we have the Avatar."
Sasuke cautiously followed the sage.
Temple
The pair arrived at the temple where the sage led Sasuke to an underground cavern. The Shaman and other sages within looked at the new arrival. The sage explained his presence while Sasuke approached the large hole. He saw Korra, on a hammock, partially within the water.
"What's going on here?" Sasuke questioned.
"A dark spirit infected the Avatar." The shaman answered, shocking the Uchiha. "It saw her washed up on our island without any memory of who she is. This process, connecting to her deepest Avatar memories, is the solution. There is a good chance she'll recover."
"Should we pull her up?" The female Fire Sage asked.
"No." The shaman answered. "She must confront her past if she is to move forward. We can only hope she survives the ordeal."
"If this is what she needs to do, then I know Korra will achieve it." Sasuke nodded firmly. "She's stronger than a lot of people tend to think."
"Your confidence in her is convincing." The shaman nodded. "As her friend, you are welcome to stay."
Korra's Dreamworld: Wan's Time, Spirit Wilds…
Raava stood before Wan. "The human and spirit realms are heading toward annihilation, and it'sall your fault. This is why humans have no place interfering in thebusiness of spirits."
"This world is home to all of us, and what happens here is everyone's business." Wan said.
"Thanks to you, this world may cease to exist!" Raava exclaimed angrily. "I only hope I can track down Vaatu before it's too late."
"Let me help." Wan offered.
"I don't want your help." Raava declared sternly. "Don't interfere with me again, human!"
She then flew off, and once she was gone, Wan looked to Mula. "Let's keep moving."
Later
As Wan rode Mula through some plains, he saw what looked like a human walking down their way. "What is that?" He called out to the figure, while producing a flame in the palm of his hand. "Hey, who are you?"
The figure was a young man who had long brown hair cut short on top, and two locks were wrapped in bandages to frame either side of his face. He wore a high-collared, light-colored kimono held closed by a dark sash. The collar of the kimono was adorned with magatama.
"Are you aiming to attack me?" The young man asked, ignoring his prior question.
"Oh, no." Wan extinguished the flame. "Sorry. It's just been a while since I've met a human. I've been spending years with spirits."
"I see." The young man nodded. "Must have been an achievement for you."
"So, what're you doing out here on your own?" Wan asked.
"My father has sent my brother and I to aid with the revival of a foreign land." The young man answered.
"Really?" Wan was impressed. "That's quite a task."
"Now, I must be on my way." The young man said.
"Wait, have you seen a giant, serpentine spirit, that's black and red, named Vaatu?' Wan inquired.
"I saw something fitting the description fly overhead about a minute ago." The young man answered. "Why are you searching for this Vaatu?"
"Well…" He rubbed the back of his head. "I kind of set him loose. He tricked me into releasing him from the other spirit, Raava. Now, he's probably out there causing trouble." He sighed and shook his head. "Anyways, I think it's about time I'm on my way. Thanks for the help."
Wan had Mula press on; however, the young man turned to look after them.
Later…
Wan and Mula arrived within a forest where they hear noise coming from the brush. They found fruit trees which four monks were shaking to harvest said fruit. Two monks Airbent clouds under them to float up and collect more fruit.
"Do you see that, Mula? More people." Wan smiled. "They seem to have some kind of wind power." He dismounted and ran up to the people. "I'm glad I found…" He startled the monks, getting them to run off. "Wait, I'm friendly!"
He ran after them, only to nearly fall off a cliff. Fortunately, the young man he met before happened to decide this was interesting enough to tail him.
He ended up grabbing the young man and pulled him back from the edge. "Given your earlier tale and this instance, you have a knack for getting into trouble, don't you?"
Wan chuckled nervously at that. "Thanks for this."
"You're…an interesting fellow." The young man noted. "He's seemingly similar to Asura." He nodded. "Tell me, who are you?"
"I'm Wan, and you are?" Wan asked.
"Indra Otsutsuki." Indra introduced.
"Indra Otsutsuki?" Wan questioned. "That's a strange name I haven't heard before."
"Likely because I'm from somewhere far away." Indra voiced.
Just then, one of the monks rode by overhead, and the pair's eyes followed him to a floating lion turtle.
"The legends are true." Wan stated in awe. "Another lion turtle city, and this one is flying."
"So, that's a lion turtle." Indra noted before looking to the Firebender. "Tell me Wan, are you from a lion turtle?"
"I was from, but I got kicked out." Wan informed. "What about you?"
"We do not see many spirits where I am from, and those that do cause trouble are easily dissuaded." Indra informed. "I am not positive, but it might explain why the lion turtles are isolated to these lands."
"That is interesting but what land do you come from?" Wan asked.
"I'll explain later." Indra replied.
"Okay." Wan shrugged. "Well, I've got to get to that lion turtle."
"How?" Indra raised an eye brow in interest. "Last I checked, you weren't a flyer."
Wan grinned. "Oh, I've got an idea."
Indra observed as Wan went back to his mount. The man had her help in tying a rope to a tree and around a rock.
"Are you certain this will work?" Indra asked.
"Won't know unless I try." Wan tied off the rope before getting into the tree. "Wish me luck."
He then used his fire to burn the rope and catapult himself to the lion turtle; however, he was quickly descending. Fortunately, he managed to grab one of the dangling vines, on the underside of the lion turtle, and began climbing.
"He's reminding me more and more of Asura." Indra noted.
Air Lion Turtle
Wan made it up to the village on the back of the turtle and began to explore. He saw spirits living amongst the monks, and he ended up approaching the first group of them, who happened to be meditating.
"Hi, my name is Wan." Wan introduced, but the monks looked at each other. "Um, sorry to interrupt, but it's been a while since I've seen other humans."
"Where did you come from, stranger?"
"Another lion turtle city far away." Wan explained. "For the past two years, I've been living among the spirits and exploring the wilds."
"Remarkable. Come. Sit with us. We would love to hear of your travels."
Just then, the spirit sitting with the monks became dark and flew off. Another spirit then turned dark and tore down a wall of a nearby hut, making people run out screaming. Across the village, this darkness spread as Vaatu appeared within the sky.
"Vaatu." Wan said.
At that moment, Indra arrived. "Yep, looks just like what I saw earlier."
"Indra." Wan voiced in surprise.
"We meet again, human, and who's…Wait, you look familiar." Vaatu noted. "You wouldn't happen to be the son of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, would you?"
"Hagoromo?" Wan asked.
"I am." Indra declared. "You know him?"
"Indeed, I do." Vaatu voiced. "I'll make him suffer through your death."
"Why is the great spirit of darkness here, but not his other half?"
"Uh, I'll explain later." Wan voiced before looking back to the spirit. "Leave these people in peace! They've done nothing to harm you."
A dark spirit came at Wan; however, Indra rushed at it with his arm cloaked in lightning and thrust it at the dark spirit to drive it off. "Leave him."
He then held his two hands, as though he were going to clap, and formed a blue sphere of Lightning Nature. Indra then hurled it at Vaatu who swiftly dodged.
"An impressive display of Nature Transformation." Vaatu commented. "Seems your father has taught you well."
Just then, Raava appeared within the sky and turned on Vaatu. "Begone!"
"How are you doing after our split, Raava?" Vaatu asked. "I've never been better. When Harmonic Convergence comes, I will destroy you forever."
He then flew off with the dark spirits following.
With him gone, Raava turned on Wan. "I told you not to interfere."
"I had to do something." Wan defended. "These people were in danger."
Raava did not dignify that with a response and instead turned to Indra. "You also interfered where you are not needed."
"Your need of me has no bearing on my decision." Indra retorted.
"You look familiar." Raava got a closer look at him. "Who are you?"
"Indra Otsutsuki." Indra answered.
"Otsutsuki!?" Raava exclaimed. "You are the son of Hagoromo."
"Yes." Indra answered simply.
"You know him too?" Wan questioned.
"How I know him is not your concern." Raava retorted.
"Great spirit of light, we thank you for your help, but how did you become split from Vaatu?"
"Ask him." Raava responded while looking pointedly at Wan.
Said Firebender hung his head. "I'd take it all back if I could."
"It's too late for that." Raava declared. "Now that Vaatu is free, he is turning other spirits dark. The more spirits he turns, the stronger he becomes."
"Given your present size is a third of what he is, I'd say it's safe to assume you're growing weaker." Indra commented.
"As darkness grows, light fades." Raava confirmed.
"I'm sorry for endangering your village." Wan spoke to the monks. 'I promise to set things right."
"How?"
Spirit Wilds
Wan, Indra, Raava, Mula, and a monk stood on a cliff to face the air lion turtle.
"Great lion turtle, I ask you grant me the power of air, so I can defeat Vaatu before it's too late." Wan stated.
"You already carry the power of fire." The lion turtle stated. "No human has ever held two elements at the same time."
"I'm not like other humans." Wan retorted. "I can learn to do it."
"Hmm, perhaps, but to do so, Raava must hold the power for you until you master it." The air lion turtle stated.
"Ancient one, why would I do that for a human?" Raava asked. "Especially one who has caused so much trouble?"
"Raava, please." Wan pleaded. "I can't let the world fall into chaos because of my mistake. Neither of us can defeat Vaatu alone."
"If we work together, we may have a chance." Indra added.
"You're going to stick around and help?" Wan asked.
"If dark spirits bring calamity to the world, my present task from father would be impossible." Indra stated. "While father isn't in these lands now, he once faced Vaatu in combat and came out on top. In short, I have every reason to face him."
Wan smiled. "Thanks."
"Very well, I will help you by holding the elements." Raava said.
"Thank you, Raava." Wan nodded. "In return, I'll help you restore balance."
Later…
Wan, Indra, and Raava were now on the move as an impromptu team.
"What's this harmonic thing Vaatu was talking about?" Wan asked.
"Harmonic Convergence." Raava informed. "That is when Vaatu and I must battle for the fate of the world."
"How long do we have?" Indra asked.
"About a year in your time." Raava said.
"Then, we'd better start training." Wan looked to their other companion. "By the way Indra, what was that Nature Transformation thing Vaatu mentioned?"
"It was a way of utilizing Chakra." Indra informed. "All of it is Ninshu, yet Nature Transformations are like using the elements as you do. It's an advanced form of Chakra Control that defines the nature of one's chakra and alters properties for use of techniques."
"That sounds amazing." Wan stated. "Can I do that?"
"Only those who have Chakra networks can utilize it." Indra replied.
Volcano Area
Wan unleashed his fire while Indra started off with his Lightning and Fire Natures. He then practiced with his shuriken and sword before shifting his eyes to red with three tomoe.
"You can make your eyes like that?" Wan asked.
"It is called the Sharingan." Indra informed. "It was awakened after I saved my brother's life."
"Man, I envy you with just how much versatility you got." Wan then turned to Raava. "Speaking of that, I'm ready to try air. How will this work?"
"The only way for me to give you the other element is to pass through your body and combine our energies." Raava responded.
"Great, so you've done this before?" Wan asked.
"No, this has never been attempted." Raava replied. "It is very dangerous."
"That's what they said about living in the Spirit Wilds, yet I survived." Wan declared. "I'm ready. Give me air." Raava flew through him, and he yelled in pain for a moment before unleashing a gust of air. "It feels completely different."
"If you and Vaatu have battled every ten thousand years, why hasn't one of you destroyed the other?" Indra asked.
"He cannot destroy light any more than I can destroy darkness." Raava responded. "One cannot exist without the other. Even if I defeat Vaatu in this encounter, darkness will grow inside me until he emerges. The same will hold true if Vaatu defeats me."
"That doesn't sound so bad." Wan reasoned. "Even if Vaatu wins, you'll still come back.'
"Yes, but you won't survive to see it." Raava informed. "Vaatu will destroy the world as you know it. Darkness will cover the world for ten-thousand years."
"That doesn't sound promising." Indra noted. "We better pull ourselves together if we're going to stand against him."
"I think you got the power you need, but if I'm going to be of use, we should visit the other lion turtles." Wan stated.
Around the Spirit Wilds
Wan, Indra, and Raava traveled around what would one day be the Elemental Nations in search of lion turtles. They found a lion turtle who gave Wan the power of earth, and he bent said substance.
"Why's there so much conflict between humans and spirits in the first place?" Wan asked.
"This physical world is where humans come from." Raava explained. "Spirits come from another realm. At the north and south poles, the two realms intersect. Over time, more and more spirits have drifted into this world." They eventually went on to find a lion turtle who gave Wan the power of water. "Humans have been forced apart, settling on the lion-turtles who protect them, and lost touch with each other."
"Most people think they live in the only human city in the world." Wan said.
"Most humans think only of themselves, no matter how many others are around." Raava said.
Spirit Wilds
Indra trained with Wan to help him in utilizing the other three elements. Even though he couldn't bend himself, the guy could still be a sparring partner. As they spared, Raava passed through Wan's body.
"When you pass through me, I feel an incredible rush of power." Wan bent sections of the earth at Indra who deftly dodged. "I feel like I'm changing. The more we practice, the stronger I become."
Suddenly, Indra held up a hand, stopping the spar, as he smelt something on the air. "I smell smoke."
"Humans are nearby." Raava said.
"We should go see." Wan said.
He mounted Mula, and the group rushed off to find a group of humans burning down trees for wood.
"A spirit!" A settler yelled before bending fire at Raava.
Wan bent up enough of the earth to form a wall, blocking it, before coming out around it. "Easy, we're friendly."
"Wan?" One of the humans was shocked to see him. "I can't believe it."
"Jaya!" Wan immediately recognized and hugged him. "What're you doing out here?"
"You inspired us." Jaya informed. "Once we heard you survived out in the wilds, we decided to try it."
"Is this your friend, Wan?" Indra asked.
"Yeah. This is Jaya." Wan introduced. "Jaya, Indra Otsutsuki."
"Where'd you come from?" Jaya asked.
"Somewhere far from here." Indra alluded.
"Hey, where's Yao?" Wan asked. "Did he come with you?"
"Yes, but he didn't make it." Jaya sighed sadly. "We…we lost many good men along the
way." Wan hung his head in sorrow. "So, why were you protecting that spirit?"
"Oh, this is Raava." Wan introduced. "Don't worry, she's not like the dark spirits you've probably run into."
"Dark spirits? What's the difference?" Jaya asked. "We throw fire at any spirit we see around here, just like they attack any man."
"You have no idea what you're doing." Raava declared angrily. "You're only making things worse."
They didn't get much time to dwell on what she said as one of the settlers spotted something. "The spirits are back!"
"Let's wipe them out this time!" Jaya declared. "We'll burn down this whole forest if we must!"
"What happened to you?" Was asked in disbelief. "When did you become so violent?"
"You showed me we could change the world if we just stopped being afraid." Jaya informed. "Now, we're doing it."
He ran off to joins the other.
"This isn't what I had in mind." Wan lamented.
A group of spirits and humans came face-to-face.
"Get out of our forest, humans!" Aye-Aye yelled.
Just then, Wan came in between them. "Wait, we can resolve this peacefully."
"Stinky?" Aye-Aye smiled. "You came back!"
Despite the situation, Wan smiled as well. "It's good to see you again."
"You and Raava are just in time to help us clear these tree-killing, fire-lovers out of here, just like the old days." Aye-Aye said.
"YOU'RE the ones who'll be cleared out!" Jaya yelled.
"There's no need for violence." Wan tried. "I know there must be a compromise here."
"You cannot allow yourselves to give into hatred, or this conflict will escalate." Indra said.
"You have a good heart, Stinky." Aye-Aye stated. "As for this new human, I don't know much about him, but at least he seems nothing like those fire tossers."
"Spirits like him killed our friends!" Jaya yelled. "I can't let them get away with that!"
Just then, thunder roared as dark clouds appeared and lightning crackled. Aye-Aye and the other spirits turned dark.
"We are protectors of the forest." Dark Aye-Aye declared. "We won't let you burn it down!"
"No, they're corrupted." Indra said.
"It's Vaatu." Raava informed. "He's growing stronger, using their anger to turn them to his side."
Jaya threw a fireball at the dark spirits, but they dodged.
"Wipe them out!" Dark Aye-Aye commanded.
The dark spirits and humans started to fight.
"Stop, please!" Wan yelled.
He bent the earth in a way that pushed the sides apart, but they kept charging each other.
"This is getting us nowhere." Indra said.
"Raava, we need to combine our energies." Wan declared. "Maybe we'll have enough power to stop this."
"Wan, it's risky." Indra said.
"Anything to stop this." Raava merged with Wan, and he shot into the air on an air spout while the other three elements circled around him. "Enough! You need to stop fighting before you destroy each other!"
Aye-Aye reverted to normal and stared on in confusion. "Stinky, wh-what happened?"
"He's controlling the four elements." Jaya commented in awe.
"Impressive." Indra stated.
"Wan, I must leave your body, or I'll destroy you." Raava informed as the energy around him became unstable.
"No, it's working." Wan struggled. "If you leave, the fighting will start again."
He groaned under the strain and started to fall.
"Wan!" Indra yelled.
Raava left Wan's body and caught him before taking his body away. Indra moved to follow, only to stop upon seeing the humans and spirits fighting again. Indra rushed into the thick of it while drawing his sword and imbuing it with Lightning Nature.
He yelled as he stabbed his blade into the ground, sending a burst of lightning throughout the present battlefield. This resulted in everyone being entrapped within a cage of Lightning Nature that shocked them if they attempted to escape, even utilizing their fire saw the humans shocked.
"Listen up!" Indra roared, silencing all dissent by leaking massive amounts of killer intent and shocking everyone at once. "I will not discuss, nor will I entertain any arguments. Humans, these spirits are out of control, you are not, so you shall leave immediately."
The humans began to speak up, but he shocked them once again. "There is to be no debate. I will release you slowly, and you shall run the opposite way. Don't even think of attacking these spirits or me; otherwise, it's back in the cages until you agree."
To ensure both sides understood, he shocked them once again.
Cliff:Later…
Wan awoke on a nearby cliff and could see the remains of Jaya's settlement. "We have to go back."
"No need, I resolved things, for the moment, by driving the humans off." Indra explained as he joined the guy. "Unfortunately, couldn't reason with the dark spirits, so they destroyed the settlement before leaving."
"Unfortunately, he's right." Vaatu appeared before them. "Your human friends were spared today, but that is all relative as we enter the finals days. Son of Hagoromo, I will enjoy killing you. After Harmonic Convergence, I will come for your father!"
He then flew off.
"Damn him." Indra spat.
Wan searched for Raava, only to find her now smaller and behind a rock. "Raava…"
"I'm sorry, Wan, Indra." Raava stated.
Wan sadly picked her up and put her in a teapot.
"There's nothing else we can do here." Indra reasoned.
"Yeah, let's go." Wan stated as he got on Mula.
South Pole: Harmonic Convergence
Wan and Indra were making their way for the Southern Spirit Portal.
"We're almost there." Raava voiced. "I was wrong about you, Wan. I had no idea humans were capable of such nobility and courage. Indra, I had no idea Hagoromo would have a son worthy of his teachings. I'm sorry we do not have much time left together."
"Let's not give up before the battle has even begun." Wan voiced. "Who knows what will happen?"
"Right, this is our first Harmonic Convergence, so we will see how this plays out." Indra said.
They approached a beam of light.
"This is the Southern Portal to the Spirit World." Raava informed. "Here, Vaatu and I will do battle once again, at the place where the two worlds meet."
Wan and Indra entered the portal.
Spirit World
The group arrived at a desolate ground with a nearby, hallowed out tree.
Vaatu entered from the Northern Portal. "Are you ready for our final battle, Raava? Thanks to our friend separating us, I think I may be rid of you once and for all."
"Before you get to her, you'll have to go through me." Wan declared.
"And me." Indra added.
"Even with the aid of Hagoromo's son, no human can stand against me." Vaatu informed. "I'll destroy you both."
"Haven't you heard the legends?" Wan asked. "I'm not a regular human anymore."
"If my father stood against you prior, I can now." Indra declared, activating his Sharingan.
Wan threw a blast of fire, but Vaatu dodged before Indra unleashed lightning. The spirit of chaos snaked around the Chakra Nature before attempting to slam his tail into the Otsutsuki, but he flipped back out of the way.
Wan sent another fire blast Vaatu's way, so the spirit changed course before managing to slam him away with his tail. "I have lived ten-thousand lifetimes before the first of your kind crawled out of the mud!"
The spirit fired a beam of purple energy from its mouth at the downed Wan, but Indra rushed in. He picked the guy up and threw him away before drawing his blade. The Otsutsuki then quickly imbued it with Fire and Lightning Natures before slashing it at the beam.
The Chakra Natures clashed with the spirit energy before they were overcome. Indra's blade was forced from his hand, embedding itself in the ground, while he was tossed back by the powerful beam of purple energy.
"It was I who broke through the divide that separated the plane of spirits from the material world." Vaatu declared. "To hate me is to give me breath. To fight me is to give me strength." Wan recovered by this point. "Now prepare to face oblivion!"
Vaatu fired another purple energy beam at Indra, but Wan rushed in before managing to tackle into him, getting them both out of the way.
"He's more powerful than I imagine." Indra said.
"Raava, the only way we win is together!" Wan shouted.
Raava flew to Wan and merged with him, surrounding the guy with an unstable white energy. Vaatu attempted to attack the pair with his tail, but they evaded. Wan then created a cloud to ride on while Indra pumped Chakra into his legs, and they rushed to cover ground.
Vaatu followed, so they whirled around. Indra shot out fire and blasted lightning while Wan blasted air and utilized the nearby water source to whip at the spirit. They managed to nail the dark spirit, but he powered through it to slam into them.
Wan's physical form started to shiver, prompting Indra to speak. "You and Raava must separate."
"He's right." Raava agreed. "If I stay any longer, you will die."
"It doesn't matter!" Wan yelled. "If you leave me, Vaatu will destroy everything. We must finish this together!"
Indra knew the guy was right, so he unleashed fire to keep Vaatu busy. The spirit dodged before unleashing another purple energy beam. Indra dodged before withdrawing shuriken after shuriken, imbuing them with fire or lighting, and just hurling them at Vaatu.
Wan tried to help as he bent another cloud under himself and rose into the air; however, his body shivered more. He ended up falling, but not before managing a fire blast at Vaatu, catching him as he wove through Indra's present barrage of shuriken.
For this, Vaatu retaliated with another purple beam which sent Wan near the Southern Portal and forced Indra to scatter as the spirit kept it up to try hitting him. Vaatu took this opportunity to pin Wan beneath his tail.
"Wan!" Indra yelled.
Before he could attempt to help, Vaatu fired off another purple beam and forced Indra on the defensive again. The Otsutsuki then noticed his blade and sprinted for it.
While Vaatu paid attention to this, he did spare some attention for the one currently under his tail. "It's no use! Harmonic Convergence is about to begin. The era of Raava is over."
As the planets aligned, the spirit portals started to bend before connecting. Vaatu glowed purple while Wan glowed a light blue. He placed his hand on the portal, causing its energy to flow into him. Vaatu saw this happening and backed off.
Indra, who now had his blade again, paused. Wan's eyes glowed white before that same energy flew out of them and his mouth. The light was intense enough to drive Vaatu back before Wan was fully stabilized and able to stand.
"What happened?" Indra asked.
"We are bonded forever." Raava said.
"Don't worry." Wan assured. "Raava and I are now one."
"Then, this should be our advantage." Indra declared.
Wan unleashed fire, air, water, and earth at Vaatu while Indra unleashes fire and lightning. They drove the spirit back, weakening it, before Wan trapped him in an air bubble. He then unleashed rings of fire, air, water, and earth before guiding the bubble to the hollow of the tree.
"It's over for you, Vaatu." Indra declared.
Once Vaatu was secured, there was a burst of energy, and the spirit was trapped behind a purple barrier.
"This is your prison now, and I will close the spirit portal to make sure no one will ever physically enter the Spirit World." Wan declared. "No one will come to release you."
Wan punctuated this point by closing the Northern Portal before he and Indra exited via the Southern Portal.
South Pole
"Are you sure this is the right thing?" Indra asked.
"Yes." Wan nodded. "Not only will it keep people away from Vaatu, but I plan to guide all the spirits back to their world. They must stop fighting with humans, and to help that, I'll teach men to respect them so balance can be maintained."
Countless Days Later…
Spirits started lining up for the Southern Portal and entered the Spirit World.
Before Aye-Aye went, he turned to the pair and bowed to Wan. "I was glad to have met you, Stinky."
"Same to you." Wan bowed back.
Aye-Aye was the last spirit, so Wan sealed the portal. "I'll be the bridge between our two worlds."
"Good luck with your new mission." Indra nodded. "With our present one over, I must return to my original task."
"While it is true I have a new mission, the fact remains you helped me with all this." Wan voiced. "Let me come help you with yours."
"I'm sorry, but this is where we part ways." Indra returned. "This task is one meant only for my brother and I."
"So, this is goodbye?" Wan asked. "Will we ever meet again?"
"…Goodbye, Wan." Indra answered simply before leaving.
All Lion Turtles
All lion turtles had their residents leave before speaking. "The world is entering a new age. Our time protecting mankind is over. We will no longer give humans the power of the elements."
Years Later…
Armored warriors were fighting with weapons and bending.
"Different groups of people must learn to live together." Wan declared. "This is my mission: To use Raava's light spirit to guide the world towards peace."
Wan entered the Avatar State and used the four elements to keep the fighting parties at bay.
Decades Later…
A battlefield was burning as elevated rocks were everywhere. There were also arrows, weapons, and flags scattered about. An old, armored Wan was slumped against a bit of raised earth, surrounded by arrows.
"I'm sorry, Raava." Wan lamented. "I failed to bring peace. Even with Vaatu locked away, darkness still surrounds humanity. There isn't enough time."
"Don't worry." Raava soothed. "We will be together for all of your lifetimes, and we will never give up."
Wan exhaled for the last time as a gold light left his body and dissipated into golden specks. Everything went white before there was the cry of a baby.
Temple
Korra gasped as her eyes snapped open and glowed white briefly.
She looked up at the Fire Shaman and Sages. "I…remember."
"Do you know who you are?" The Fire Shaman asked.
"My name is Korra, and I'm the Avatar." Korra answered.
"Good to know you're back." Sasuke's voice rang out before he approached the hole.
"Sasuke?" Korra Airbent her way out of the hole. "You found me." She got a good look at him. "You also got a tattoo and some large scroll."
"It's a long story." Sasuke voiced. "I'll tell you later, but right now you must now what we got to do, right?"
"Yeah, I know now." Korra said.
Korra, Sasuke, and the Fire Shaman left the cave to enter a courtyard where sky bison were eating grass.
"Sky bison in the Fire Nation?" Sasuke asked.
"We've been raising this herd since the Hundred Year War." The shaman explained. "I never thought I'd be able to present one to the Avatar."
"Thank you for everything." Korra stated genuinely. "I wonder how long we've been away."
"I cannot say, but you do not have much time." The shaman responded. "Harmonic Convergence is only weeks away."
"Harmonic Convergence?" Sasuke asked. "Is this what Yun was warning me about?"
"Probably best we save that, among your story, as we fly." Korra replied.
Korra and Sasuke got on a sky bison before flying off from the island.
From what I read, the world of Naruto, in as far as Hagoromo's time, happened one thousand years prior to the events of that series. Legend of Korra's earliest point is Beginnings ten thousand years ago. To me, this isn't that big a deal when crossing over these stories. It could just mean it took a while for Madara and Hashirama to be the next reincarnations, with Naruto and Sasuke being a happenstance, far earlier reincarnation.
Perhaps there were a myriad of reincarnations of Indra and Asura, just like the Avatar, that aren't important here. If you dislike Black Zetsu, then the fact that he failed for ten thousand years is something you might derive some pleasure from. Of course, if it is the prior point, it's easy to simply say Black Zetsu went inert until the next reincarnation of Indra came. Bottom line, there are ways to explain this aspect as well as ways to explain how far off future things still happen.
Zilvero (Ch. 1): I mean, it's not like I tried to hide when this happens. It's right there in chapter 1.
streetlife34: I didn't specify a number of days it took Sasuke to get through the seven Chakras, I merely gave references to what part of a day it was. Now to me, it did just take one day, but anyone is free to think differently. I'm never going to reference that event in the fact it took a specific number of days. That doesn't mean there ill be a cut off. I would also like to say that Aang went through them quickly, and yes he is spirtual.
That said, Pahtik was still needed to guide him through it. As for Sasuke, he's spent a lot of time around Tenzin, Mr. Spiritual. While this does not make Sasuke truly spiritual, you got to remember that our Uchiha is a prodigious talent that would certain have learned how to meditate. With Yun here, who is an actual character I've simply repurposed here, he has arguably the best 'spirit' guide anyone could ask for. Look into the Kyoshi light novels to understand.
Guest: Está bien, sabía que utilizar los Chakras con Sasuke sería polémico. En cuanto a hacer que este mundo se sienta conectado, este capítulo seguramente será de tu agrado.
