A/N: Hello, everyone. As I'm sure you're aware (apologies to those who weren't) that Dragon Ball creator, Akira Toriyama, has recently passed away due to an apparent case of acute subdural hematoma. What's more, he's apparently been ill for over one year already. Not a pretty thing to hear, I'm sure. So, this is where this story would come in. Basically, it's a rewrite of GT, Akira Toriyama style. This story is not only to see how GT would've gone if Akira Toriyama wrote it, but also to help honor said creator. Of course, I'm not exactly too keen on doing it myself, so some help with getting the characters more fleshed-out and well-written is greatly appreciated along the way. I might also do the Super Rewrite story as well. Come to think of it, it's kinda like when back in January, Dragon Ball Super and DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters aired alongside each other on Toonami 7 years ago, I think. As for the main cast of the story, it can be best explained later in the ending notes of this chapter. For now, enjoy. :)

Dragon Ball GT Rewrite

First, it showed a planet exploding in space before then showing a small, pink villain with menacingly black sclerae and red eyes laughing and then eventually fighting Goku, whose hair was now long, golden, and spikey, trading blows with one another as Kibito Kai, Elder Kai, and Dende watched with concern on Namek. It wasn't long before Vegeta even had a run for his money going up against the villain.

Narrator: "Previously on 'Dragon Ball Z', the inhabitants of Earth faced the most terrifying foe they'd ever seen and it seemed nothing would remain. But Goku and Vegeta made a desperate final stand."

"Why..., you ignorant oafs!", Hercule spoke before putting his foot down, quite literally. "QUIT YAPPIN' AND START HELPIN'! OR WOULD YOU DARE IGNORE THE REQUEST OF THE GREAT MR. SATAN?!"

Suddenly, a boy gasped in surprise on Earth.

"Mr. Satan! Didn't you hear, Mom? That was Mr. Satan's voice just now!", the boy spoke eagerly.

"Really? Are you certain?", the mother asked.

Then, Hercule laughed and did his trademark pose on Supreme Kai's planet.

"Yeah, that's right! I wasn't gonna say anything, but now, it seems my secret's out. I'm kinda in the middle of defeating Majin Buu right now! So, the sooner you send your energy, the better!", Hercule grinned, much to Goku's puzzlement before it then showed everyone raising their hands and lending their energy to Goku's Super Spirit Bomb, astonishing Hercule, who gasped in awe before the monstrous villain looked up to see Goku holding the Spirit Bomb right before tossing it at Buu, who barely managed to hold it back only to be met with Goku in Super Saiyan form.

Narrator: "Then, Goku summoned a massive Spirit Bomb, drawing on energy from all the revived people of Earth, who rallied to help because of Mr. Satan's plea."

"You're an incredible warrior, Buu. It was you against the universe and you nearly won. Whenever we cornered you, you just got stronger. You changed forms so many times, even I had enough. I hope you can come back once more, but good. I want to fight you again, one-on-one, without all the loss. I'll be right there waiting for you, only stronger.", Goku said before standing up straight with only one hand held toward the Spirit Bomb now before he held his left hand near his forehead with his middle and index fingers held out, almost in salute. "'Til then, Buu."

Then, Goku pressed hard with a yell, causing the spirit bomb to incinerate Buu into pieces and explode without a trace left as Goku and Vegeta then gave thumbs-up to each other in celebration before then showing Shenron in the sky with Goku then speaking to everyone in the lookout before later showing a sort of commercial for the World Tournament playing on an HD TV at Goku's house with Hercule delivering said announcement as he jabbed, kicked, and punched.

Narrator: "And as more energy flowed in from across the universe, this mighty Spirit Bomb proved too powerful for even the destructive alien magic of Majin Buu. 6 months later, using the power of the Dragon Balls, humankind's memories of Buu's terror and destruction were erased, and the planet has enjoyed 5 more years of peace."

"You there! Got a question for ya! Do you think you're strong enough to take on the World's Martial Arts Champion, Mr. Satan?! I'm taking on any and all challengers! I'll be waiting at this year's World Tournament, so come and test your mettle! Hahahahahahahaha!", Hercule challenged before it then cut to the symbol of the World Tournament with the only english words, "REAL FIGHT" seen on it.

"It's the World Tournament! Get ready... the action starts tomorrow!", the announcer announced.

Then, out of the house walked Goku, wearing a bright cyan-colored gi, dark-green colored pants, yellow wristbands, and black boots.

"Looks like Mr. Satan is the same as ever!", Goku said to himself.

Once outside, Goku stretched for a bit before sighing and chuckling a bit.

"Looks like it's about time... Heh.", Goku spoke eagerly.

Opening Intro

Play Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit Music: "Kiseki no Honô yo Moeagare!"

First, it showed a glimpse of one Ultimate Dragon Ball and then zoomed away to show six more Ultimate Dragon Balls surrounding that one, all in outer space before then showing a sort of red-scaled, blue-eyed version of Shenron with golden horns moving away and towering above an astonished Goku before lightning sparked around said dragon, who then turned into bright light before 7 dragon balls spun around while ascending high into the air before then scattering away.

Then, it showed 6 Ultimate Dragon Balls zooming away from different directions with the 7th Ultimate Dragon Ball zooming toward the screen before going away as it spun for a moment before the one-star Ultimate Dragon Ball stopped spinning suddenly glowed quickly with the light spreading to form a silhouette of words as a sort of tilted triangle formed on the right before the light faded, revealing said logo: "Dragon Ball GT". As soon as the one-star Ultimate Dragon Ball then dashed off toward the screen with a bright flash, it then showed a teenaged Pan fighting with Piccolo in a spar as Goku, Gohan, Goten, Broly, Cheelai, Lemo, Valese, Videl, Hercule, Bee, Buu, and even Chi-Chi watching as Hercule cheered Pan on as the one-star, two-star, and 3-star Ultimate Dragon Balls zoomed and slowed down for a moment before dashing off again one at a time before then showing the scattering stars then stopping, turning into 4 dots, which were then shown on a radar that Bulma is currently holding for a moment as she watched Trunks and Vegeta spar as did her daughter Bulla, as well as Beerus, Whis, Bulma's parents, and the father's pet cat as Bulla cheered Trunks on, not knowing that the four-star, five-star, six-star, and seven-star Ultimate Dragon Balls were zooming past them one at a time.

Then, it showed the top hatch of the Capsule Corporation building opening up from the very top, revealing the night sky from the top before then showing Goku turning to Bulma with a wave only for Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, Pan, Bulla, and even Goten and Valese to accompany him with faithful, determined smiles of their own, making Goku give a chuckle with a bit of a surprised grin of his own.

Then, it showed the spaceship quickly heading out from Earth and eventually arriving on a different planet with tons of cities seen past the fog and heavy rain as far as the eye can see as everyone stepped out of the ship with curiosity abound among the group, especially with Trunks already finding a little white robot with one red, camera-like eye and picking him up. But the moment Goku and Vegeta tense, everyone else turned to the source of what made the two Saiyans tense and get just as worried in their individual way: a lone shadow shrouded in fog with glowing, ominous red eyes seen through the mist before Goku and Vegeta then assumed their iconic stances and both charged in toward their would-be assailant, who charged back at them.

Then, it showed Vegeta laying the hurt on a Frieza Force Soldier with repeated jabs followed by a turn and elbow while Goku blocked another soldier's kick with his left arm and struck with a right only to miss before blocking the soldier's fists with his right arm, even kicking him back in retaliation before then showing both Pan and Bulla firing a Kamehameha and a Galick Gun respectively at a third soldier while Goten kicked the 4th one back from behind right toward Trunks, who slashed him with his sword (much to Valese's amazement) while Gohan and Piccolo fired their combined Special Beam Cannon at several soldiers before then showing Goku walking amidst the updraft of dust before then bellowing has he powered up and turns Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

Then, it showed Goten and Trunks turning Super Saiyan first before then showing Pan and Bulla turning Super Saiyan God next right before showing Goku and Vegeta together as they tensed with lightning striking behind them before Goku and Vegeta both turned Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan as Gohan went Ultimate. Then, it showed the 2 main Saiyans and 1 half Saiyan posing in their individual stances with each flash of energy not only showing each Saiyan as how they were when the two first met as well as how Gohan was first seen letting loose in Super Saiyan 2 as a kid, but also Goku's Ultra Instinct form, Vegeta's Ultra Ego form, and Gohan's Beast form respectively before an explosion of energy erupted with Ultimate Shenron emerging from below, covered with bright stars before said bright stars dissipated as he soared along the stars in outer space with Gohan, Goten, Valese (who rode on Goten's back), Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks (with the little robot in hand), Pan, Bulla, Vegeta, and finally, Goku, who stopped mid-flight and descended toward the ground before it showed Goku and Vegeta landing in front of Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Valese, Piccolo, Pan, and Bulla before Goku and Vegeta both turned SSGSS while Goten and Trunks turned Super Saiyan, Pan and Bulla turned Super Saiyan God, and Gohan entered his Ultimate state before the little robot popped up and did a pose along with them as well.

Chapter 1: "And So, Ten Years Later... A Long-Awaited World Martial Arts Tournament!"

Act I

"Hey, Grandpa!", a young, feminine voice shouted.

"Wha...?", Goku asked, turning toward the voice and getting excited. "Haha, look who it is!"

The source running towards him was a little short-haired girl with a red martial arts gi waving to him.

"Good morning!", Pan waved before leaping up to Goku with a giggle, who caught her, and held her up when she did.

"Hold on, what are you doing up so early, Pan?", Goku asked.

"Sorry, but I just couldn't wait to see you, Grandpa!", Pan responded eagerly, earning Goku's chuckle.

"Hahahaha! I see.", Goku grinned.

Then, Chi-Chi, who was doing laundry, spoke up from above and nearby.

"Goodness, aren't you two extra cheerful this morning?", Chi-Chi asked before Goku set Pan down as he responded back.

"Yup!", Goku responded.

"Morning, Grandma! Are you doing laundry?", Pan asked.

"I sure am! The weather today is perfect for drying clothes outside!", Chi-Chi responded.

Then, she realized something.

"Oh, by the way, Goku, I know it's still early, but do you think you could go catch us some fish? I completely forgot that Gohan and Videl mentioned they were coming for breakfast... and we definitely don't have enough to feed everyone.", Chi-Chi requested.

"Just leave it to me! How many should I get?", Goku asked.

"We'll need at least this many...", Chi-Chi responded, holding out 3 of her fingers. "And can you hurry? Gohan and the others should be here soon."

"Got it! I'm actually pretty hungry myself. I'll be right back!", Goku assured.

"I'm going, too!", Pan offered, turning to Goku.

"Great! I could use the company.", Goku beamed.

"Hooray!", Pan cheered.

"I'm sure you two will be perfectly fine... but be careful out there, okay?", Chi-Chi asked.

"Yup.", Goku assured.

"Okay!", Pan waved.

Then, Goku turned to Pan.

"Let's see... Where do you think we should fish?", Goku asked.

"Fish live in water. Why don't we go look for a river?", Pan asked.

"Good call! Hmm, I wonder if there's one nearby.", Goku pondered to himself.

Then, both Goku and Pan flew off into the air and headed elsewhere. Eventually, the duo arrived at a fishing dock just near the river. And when they did, Goku used a fake monkey tail to fish twice, and just as many times as he did, Goku and Pan now had 3 big fish.

"All right, I think this much should be enough.", Goku said.

"Wow! We caught so many, Grandpa.", Pan grinned giddily.

"We should head back home. I'm gettin' pretty hungry.", Goku suggested.

"Yeah! Mom and Dad are probably waiting for us!", Pan agreed.

So, the two flew back home.

"Oh, boy! I can't wait to eat breakfast!", Goku spoke giddily.

Suddenly, something caught Goku's attention as he turned to the sky, leaving Pan just as puzzled.

"What is it, Grandpa? Did you see something...? Is it the fish?", Pan asked.

"It's nothing! Haha, there's no doubt about it. I've been waiting years to fight him again. Awesome! It looks like he's heading to the arena!", Goku said.

"I don't get it... You were waiting for someone?", Pan asked.

Goku chuckled as he turned to Pan.

"I'll tell you about it later. Right now, it's time to eat!", Goku said as he went inside the house.

"Grandpa, I wanna know now!", Pan urged impatiently as she followed him inside.

Inside the house were Gohan and Videl.

"Oh, there you are, Dad.", Gohan greeted.

"I hope you've been behaving, Pan!", Videl added.

"I've been with Grandpa the whole time! We caught a whole bunch of fish for breakfast!", Pan responded.

"Whoa, look at that! You sure did! I'll start cooking these up right away!", Chi-Chi offered.

After breakfast, Goku had already explained what he plans on doing tomorrow.

"What?! ...You wanna enter the World Tournament tomorrow?", Chi-Chi asked.

"Yup! I just made up my mind.", Goku replied.

"I don't even understand what you would even get out of it... It's not like anyone there could pose a challenge for you.", Chi-Chi said.

Then, she had an idea for why Goku wanted to enter, supposedly.

"Oh, I get it! You're after the prize money, aren't you?", Chi-Chi asked.

"If you want money so badly, maybe you should go out and get a real job.", Chi-Chi suggested.

But that was not the right reason.

"Hold on a sec... That's not the reason at all! There's a really strong fighter who's about to reveal himself to the world, and I want to see him fight up close.", Goku explained.

"Wow... if you're this worked up, he must be the real deal.", Gohan said.

"Do you think he's really that strong?", Chi-Chi asked.

"Yeah, I haven't met him yet, but i can tell from his energy alone.", Goku responded.

"You get to fight tough opponents, Grandpa? Lucky... I wanna join, too!", Pan requested.

"Now, now, Pan. This isn't pretend fighting, you know.", Videl warned.

"That's right. You're still too little to compete.", Gohan added.

"No, I'm not!", Pan retorted.

"Oh, come on! Pan will be fine. I've been training her up!", Goku assured.

"Uh-huh!", Pan agreed.

"Is that so? ...Well, if your grandpa says it's okay...", Videl said uneasily.

"Ehh... Fine, I guess you can participate... But if things get dangerous, we're pulling you out.", Gohan agreed with a warning.

"O-Of course! Thank you!", Pan thanked.

Then, she turned to Goten.

"Why don't you sign up for it, too, Goten?", Pan asked.

Goku's Son

"Me?!", Goten asked in surprise.

"Yeah, why not? Come on, it's not like you're busy or anything!", Goku responded.

"Uh... Um... I think I'll pass ... I actually have a date planned tomorrow!", Goten said.

"A date, huh? Well, I'm sure you can reschedule it to another day! The tournament only comes around once a year!", Goku only said.

"Well, I think it's a fantastic idea! You haven't been getting enough exercise lately, Goten.", Chi-Chi scolded.

"Hey! Aren't you supposed to be on my side, Mom?!", Goten asked.

"You're not a child anymore. You don't need me to fight your battles. And if we're being honest, it's not like you're gonna use the time to study anyway... You might as well take this opportunity to stay in fighting shape.", Chi-Chi said, much to Goten's dismay.

"Aww...", Goten groaned.

"Haha... Mom sure has come around over the years.", Gohan thought.

"Yes! It's settled, then! I'm gonna take Pan for some training now... Why don't you taga long, Goten?", Goku asked.

"That's a good idea!", Pan grinned.

"Oh, man... Do I have to?", Goten groaned.

Later, he, Goku, and Pan were now outside.

"All right! It's about time we made our way to the mountain.", Goku said.

"Yay! You ready to go, Goten?", Pan asked.

"Oh! I-I just remembered! I gotta get something really quick! Go on without me and I'll catch up!", Goten responded.

"Really? Well, I guess it can't be helped... Come on, Grandpa!", Pan said.

"Sure! Don't take too long, okay?", Goku asked.

"You got it! Ahahaha... Ha.", Goten said nervously.

So, Goku and Pan left. Not long after, they arrived at a mountain.

"Grandpa! Let's get started already!", Pan spoke eagerly.

"Ha! Looks like someone's rarin' to go!", Goku grinned. "This is the perfect chance to show me what you got! I don't want you holding anything back!"

"You got it! I'm feeling extra powerful today!", Pan grinned.

"And I can't wait!", Goku beamed.

"Watch me! Okay, Grandpa?!", Pan grinned.

With that, Pan started off with a Special Shockwave. Granted, the several hits from the starting punch of air caught Goku by surprise. But when she threw one last punch, Goku managed to brace himself right before firing consecutive energy blasts at her. Then, he moved in to strike at Pan only for her to block the attacks as much as she could. But with one more punch, Goku knocked Pan back, surprising even him.

"You better wake up! I wanna see what you've got! I know you can do better than that.", Goku urged.

"Okay! Hope you're ready for this!", Pan shouted right before dashing toward him and then kicking him repeatedly and punching him to finish up.

"Ow! Way to catch me with my guard down! Keep it up!", Goku groaned.

"Now it's my turn!", Pan shouted before charging toward Goku.

But Goku was able to dodge out of the way and counter with a sliding kick followed by several fast flurries of strikes, sending her flying before Pan managed to stop herself and panted as she landed.

"You seem tired... You good to keep going?", Goku asked.

"I'm okay! I can keep going!", Pan assured.

So, they continued training. But as Pan was about to strike again, Goku vanished and reappeared behind a surprised Pan.

"Hehe! Looks like you're wide open, Pan!.", Goku said before knocking Pan back.

This time, though, Pan was able to recover.

"Grandpa, you're moving way too fast!", Pan said.

"Are you all right?", Goku asked.

"Yup! Don't worry... I'm totally fine!", Pan assured.

"Haha!" That's what I like to hear!", Goku grinned.

Then, Goku moved in to strike again, forcing her on the defensive.

"Come on, Pan! Try to counter my attack!", Goku advised.

Luckily, as Pan blocked the attacks like before, right before Goku could land the blow, it was Pan's turn to vanish and reappear near him before kicking him away.

"I wanna be strong, just like you, Grandpa!", Pan grinned.

"Well, keep it up and I know you will be one day!", Goku responded.

Then, the two clashed again. But it wasn't long before Goku won out, knocking Pan back a great deal, shocking even Goku.

"Whoops! Uh..., sorry about that... I figured you would dodge it.", Goku said.

"Owie...!", Pan groaned, rubbing her side where it hurts.

"You're taking quite a beating... You can't show up to the World Tournament like this!", Goku said in concern.

"I'll fight in the tournament no matter what!", Pan defiantly urged.

With that, Pan dashed around and eventually charged toward Goku with her leg stretched out only for Goku to knock her back until she landed on the ground, barely able to stop herself from sliding this time.

"All right, I think that's enough for today.", Goku said.

Collecting herself, Pan went up to Goku.

"You've gotten really good, Pan! If you ask me, there's a good chance you'll get pretty far in the World Tournament.", Goku said.

"You think so? That's great!", Pan spoke giddily. "I wanted to surprise you, Grandpa. So, I've been training really hard in secret!"

"I see! I like your spirit!", Goku beamed, earning Pan's excited giggle.

"Hmm, where did Goten run off to? I'd better go check on him.", Goku said.

"I wanna come along, too!", Pan offered.

"Why don't you take a break? We just had a pretty intense workout.", Goku advised.

"Don't worry, I'm fine!", Pan assured.

"All right... I guess you can come with.", Goku assured.

Then, both flew up into the air to look for Goten.

"Let's see... Where could that kid be hiding?", Goku asked.

"Maybe he can't find whatever he forgot.", Pan guessed.

That, however, wasn't the case. In fact, unbeknownst to him, Valese was already arriving at Goku's house.

"Hey, Goten.", the girl greeted.

"Huh?! Valese? What are you doing here? I was just about to come over to you.", Goten asked in surprise.

"Well, I just wanted to ask about the date. Is it still good tomorrow?", Valese asked, leaving Goten feeling uneasy.

"Well..., uh..., unfortunately... I don't think I have time for a date tomorrow...", Goten said sadly.

"Why not?", Valese asked.

"You see... you know about the World Tournament tomorrow?", Goten asked.

"Oh, yeah. I heard Mr. Satan's hosting it.", Valese said.

"Yeah. He is... Anyway, I might have to come here and participate tomorrow...", Goten said.

"Goten...", Valese said.

"I'm so sorry, Valese...", Goten apologized.

"That actually sounds cool. Maybe I could watch you there tomorrow.", Valese grinned.

That surprised Goten for a bit. He honestly didn't expect that kind of reaction. Nevertheless, he needed to play it cool.

"Uh..., sorry for all the guys that are gonna get beat up in the tournament, that is! Hahaha...", Goten grinned.

"Whew... Dodged a bullet there... Guess I really WILL have to train with Dad and Pan, after all...!", Goten thought a bit nervously.

Just then, Goku and Pan arrived.

"There you are, Goten!", Goku said.

This caught Goten's attention.

"Oh, boy... Speak of the devil...", Goten thought.

"Oh... Hey, Dad! And Pan's with you, too...", Goten said.

"Is that your dad and niece, Goten?", Valese asked.

"Uh..., yeah. They are. Valese, meet my dad and Pan. Dad and Pan, meet Valese.", Goten introduced.

"Hello.", Valese greeted.

"Yo!", Goku waved.

"Hello!", Pan waved.

"Oh, they look so wonderful, Goten.", Valese grinned.

"Come on, Goten! What's the hold up? I wanna train some more and get stronger with you!", Pan asked.

"So, did you end up finding what you were looking for?", Goku asked.

"Uh..., actually. I just wanted to, uh... psych myself up for the tournament! Yeah, that's it!", Goten responded.

"Really? That's what you wanna go with? The tournament's tomorrow, remember? You don't have much time!", Pan reminded.

"Why did Goten take so long psyching himself up?", Goku thought.

"It's been a while since you last fought, hasn't it? Let's train a little, shake off the rust, huh? What'd ya say?", Goku asked.

"Nah, I think I'm good. Besides... other than you, I doubt anyone there could beat me anyway.", Goten replied.

But Pan didn't sound too pleased.

"Aren't you forgetting someone?!", Pan asked.

"Haha, right... I'm pretty sure I could take you in a fight, Pan.", Goten responded.

"Nuh-uh!", Pan argued.

"Oh, really? You seem pretty confident there. Why don't you prove it?", Goku asked.

"Uh, I don't feel like it right now.", Goten said.

"But isn't it important to at least prepare for the tournament, Goten?", Valese asked.

"Well..., when you put it that way...", Goten sighed before looking up to Goku.

"Okay, Dad. I'll train with you.", Goten said.

"Really? Well, enough stalling, then! Come on, Goten! Let's get going already!", Goku spoke eagerly.

"Oh, wait! Can Valese come along and watch?", Goten asked.

"Sure. I don't mind the extra company.", Goku grinned.

Meanwhile, a blue-haired teen was driving a hover car only to notice something wrong with it.

Vegeta's Son

"Oh, great. Out of gas, already? What a colossal pain in the neck... Oh, well.", Trunks said, looking out toward the grassy plains from above, getting out of his hover car, standing up, and then pressing the lid, revealing a secret compartment.

After pressing the green button first and then the red, the hover car disappeared in a puff of smoke, turning back into a capsule, which Trunks put back in his jacket pocket.

"Here goes!", Trunks shouted before flying off in the air, eventually heading toward Goku's house, not knowing that at this time, Goku, Goten, Pan, and Valese were at the mountains.

"All right, then... I guess I'll spar with you for a little bit. It might even help me get warmed up.", Goku grinned.

"But...", Goten began.

Then, he turned to Valese, who gave an earnest grin to him.

"Well, there's no way around it... I need to make a good first impression.", Goten thought.

"All right, Dad. I'll fight you!", Goten said, clenching his fist and shaking it in determination.

"Ah, there we go. That's the spirit, Goten!", Goku grinned.

"What about me?", Pan asked, raising her hand.

"Why don't you work on practicing your flying technique? If you learn to control your energy, you'll be able to fly super fast!", Goku said.

"You can do that, too, Goten?", Valese asked.

"Well, uh, yeah. But it's not exactly easy, though.", Goten said.

"But it's not impossible, right?", Valese asked.

"Well, you're right on that one.", Goten responded.

"Hmm... let's see... All right! How does taking a lap around the world sound?", Goku asked.

"Sure! I can do that! I'll be back soon!", Pan grinned.

"Awesome! Be careful, okay?", Goku asked.

"Got it!", Pan responded.

Then, she quickly jumped up and fly away.

"Whoa... She disappeared in the blink of an eye.", Goten said in surprise.

"Haha, yep. She just keeps getting stronger and stronger.", Goku grinned.

"You gotta teach me how to do that sometime, Goten.", Valese said in excitement.

"Wha...?! I-I mean, uh, sure. Maybe after the tournament, and all.", Goten responded.

"Okay.", Valese nodded.

"Anyway, now it's your turn, Goten. Better take this seriously, or you might get hurt.", Goku warned as he entered his stance.

"I'll try not to go easy on you.", Goten responded.

Back at Goku's house, Trunks had already there and was knocking the door.

"Anyone there?", Trunks called.

But there was no answer. Trunks knocked again, but this time, someone spoke up to him. It was Chi-Chi. She was in the middle of folding laundry.

"Trunks! Nice of you to drop by! Long time no see, huh?", Chi-Chi asked.

"Yeah, it has been a while. So, uh, is Goten around?", Trunks asked.

"Sorry, he's not. He and Goku left the house this morning. They could be anywhere now.", Chi-Chi replied as she was folding a towel.

Then, something came across her mind.

"Oh, wait! Gohan might know how to find him. You know where his place is, right?", Chi-Chi asked.

"Yeah, thanks. Guess I'll go see what Gohan has to say, then. See you later, Chi-Chi!", Trunks waved as he walked away.

Later, Trunks had arrived at Gohan's place. It appears to be a 3-story mansion with a sort of mini tower at the center of it. He arrived at the doorway.

"Hey, Gohan!", Trunks shouted before knocking only to find the door opening slowly.

This indicated that the door hasn't been closed all the way. Nevertheless, Trunks peeked inside to see if anyone was inside.

"Hello? Anybody home!", Trunks called.

He went inside, closed the door, and looked around, noticing a warm cup of coffee, the TV set, and some family pictures, one of which is for Pan while another is for Gohan and Videl as they were getting married.

"Trunks! Welcome.", Gohan greeted.

When Trunks looked up and saw him, he was now standing on top of a ladder, holding a stack of books with both of his arms.

"Hey, didn't see you there!", Trunks greeted.

"I kinda got my hands full here. Would you mind holding these for just a second?", Gohan asked as he climbed down the ladder and turned to Trunks.

"Yeah, sure.", Trunks responded before holding said stack of books for Gohan.

"Oh, man! These books, they all look pretty serious to me.", Trunks commented.

"Yeah. I have to put together material to use for the upcoming term.", Gohan explained. "Oh, just set those on that table."

"Okay...!", Trunks grunted as he did so only to notice some test papers here and there on the table.

"Wow, Gohan. You're like a real brainiac, now.", Trunks said.

"Suppose so.", Gohan responded.

Just then, Videl entered, walking down the stairs.

"Pan? It's time to clean your room! Pan!", Videl called.

Then, she noticed Trunks with Gohan.

"Oh, hi, there, Trunks! It's good to see you!", Videl grinned.

"Oh, hey, Videl. Sorry to barge in like this.", Trunks apologized.

"I tell you, our little girl sure can make quite a mess.", Videl said.

Suddenly, a TV commercial for the World Tournament started to play, catching the trio's attention.

"You there! Got a question for ya! Do you think you're strong enough to take on the World's Martial Arts Champion, Mr. Satan?! I'm taking on any and all challengers! I'll be waiting at this year's World Tournament, so come and test your mettle! Hahahahahahahaha!", Hercule challenged before it then cut to the symbol of the World Tournament with the only english words, "REAL FIGHT" seen on it.

"It's the World Tournament! Get ready... the action starts tomorrow!", the announcer announced.

Videl was none too pleased about it as she sighed.

"He's so embarrassing... Seriously, what am I gonna do with my dad...?", Videl sighed.

"Come on, it's not so bad. I mean, he IS Earth's Greatest Hero who valiantly saved the planet, right?", Trunks asked.

"Well, yeah, that may be, but thanks to the Dragon Balls, everyone's memories have been wiped out. Nobody even knows what he saved the world from now, and yet he still keeps running his mouth off.", Videl explained.

"Just forget about him for now. Trunks, did you need something?", Gohan asked as Videl sighed discontentedly.

"Oh! Yeah, that's right! Do you have any idea where Goten is?", Trunks asked.

"Yeah, actually, he's just out back training in the mountains with Dad. And I think your parents are out there with him.", Gohan guessed.

"Really? What are they doing here?", Trunks asked.

As luck would have it, both Vegeta and Bulma were in an airplane with the latter piloting it, looking very displeased, even more so than Vegeta.

"I don't understand... How come he never swings by to see us. I'm going to get to the bottom of this.", Bulma vowed before speeding her vehicle up.

Meanwhile, Goku and Goten were now training as Valese watched.

"All right! It's time for you to show me what you've got, Goten! Don't hold back on me!", Goku urged.

"You can do it, Goten!", Valese cheered.

"Right... I can't let myself get pushed around like this! I have to do this...! For her!", Goten urged.

With that, the two clashed with one another up until Goku vanished from his sight and reappeared near a stunned Goten.

"Pay more attention, Goten! You're wide open!", Goku advised before blasting Goten back with a shockwave of air, knocking him back before he recovered.

"Dang it... I can't keep up with his movements at all!", Goten groaned.

"Haha, this is what happens when you let yourself get rusty!", Goku teased.

In response, Goten then launched 6 big energy balls at and around Goku, surrounding him. This allowed Goten to charge in and kick at him, although, Goku blocked. But the moment his back touched the energy ball, it, along with its 5 others exploded, leaving him comically singed.

"Phew! That attack was nasty! Well, at least you know how to cut off any escape routes. I'll give you that.", Goku chuckled.

"And I take it that's too much to ask to go easier?", Goten guessed.

"You just need to focus! Expecting things to be easy will only get you hurt, even in sparring!", Goku said.

"That would be a huge problem... I'd miss out on my date, let alone the World Tournament!", Goten responded.

"Then you better get on the ball, Goten.", Goku advised.

"Okay, fine...! Here I come, Dad!", Goten shouted.

Then, he and Goku charged at each other before clashing with one another again. But before Goten could strike, Goku dodged and kicked him in the gut, even flicking him back with his foot before Goten landed on the ground.

"You're taking a beating, Goten... I know you're better than that!", Goku said.

"Yeah, maybe I am, but you're way too strong, Dad!", Goten groaned.

"Come on! You're still moving pretty slowly!", Goku said as Goten then got back up.

"Ugh. I'm just getting started! Get ready!", Goten grunted.

"Oh, yeah? Well, I'm feeling nice and warmed up now.", Goku said.

"What?! You mean you weren't warmed up already?!", Goten exclaimed before dashing toward Goku, who barely dodged that strike and the other 2 following that.

"Don't let up, Goten!", Valese called.

"Oof! You're starting to read my attacks! Good! But you can move faster than that!", Goku said.

Then, Goten flew up into the air.

"This one's gonna hurt!", Goten warned before then firing multiple energy blasts at Goku, who then brushed aside one blast, causing the rest to explode, giving off a mighty gust of wind and dust.

When it cleared, though, Goku saw that Goten was not in the air, much to his puzzlement.

"What the...?", Goku puzzled before then turning toward Goten.

"Got ya!", Goten said, preparing a Kamehameha. "RAAAGH!"

Goku was barely able to turn around and block before the blast hit him, knocking Goku back by 10 feet. And as if that wasn't enough, once the wave disappeared, Goten had managed to close in and land an uppercut on Goku knocking him to the ground.

"That was a nice one! Keep it up!", Goku grinned.

"All right! I actually blew Dad away!", Goten spoke excitedly.

"All right, Goten!", Valese cheered.

Then, both fighters charged at each other before clashing. But when Goten was about to strike, Goku vanished, reappeared behind Goten, and kicked him back, making him land on his side. Of course, he was able to get back up, not knowing that Bulma and Vegeta had just arrived.

"Oh, good grief. Like father, like son, I guess.", Bulma sighed.

"Man, you show no mercy, Dad, even to your own son.", Goten said.

"What's wrong, Goten...? You're not done, are ya?", Goku asked.

"Grr... I'm not finished yet!", Goten growled, entering his fighting stance.

"Wow... Goten looks so cool when he gets serious. He's not even giving up.", Valese thought.

Fortunately, Goku noticed Vegeta and Bulma walking up to him.

"Hey! Hi, guys! Long time, no see!", Goku greeted.

But Bulma was far from happy.

"'Long time, no see' doesn't even begin to cover it. Come on, Goku! Left to your own devices, you'll never pay us a visit, will you? No surprise, if you ask me.", Bulma glared.

"Hang on, that's not true, Bulma! Didn't we see each other just the other day?", Goku asked.

"IT'S BEEN FIVE YEARS!", Bulma shouted. "Whenever the rest of us get together, you always bail 'cause you're busy training for Who-knows-what."

"Well, that's true! Huh... I guess it HAS been a long time! Right?", Goku asked.

"Huh...? What do you mean?", Bulma asked.

"Well..., it's just that you look way older!", Goku commented.

"YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! I'll have you know I get stopped on this street daily and told how youthful and radiant I look! If anything, I'd say you Saiyans are weirdos for never aging! You heard me!", Bulma shouted.

"We Saiyans evolved as a race of warriors. Our bodies remain youthful so we can continue to fight.", Vegeta explained, only earning Bulma's scoff.

"Hmph! Too bad you didn't evolve enough brains to have good manners!", Bulma retorted.

"By the way, Kakarot. Is it true you'll be registering to compete in the World Martial Arts Tournament tomorrow?", Vegeta asked.

"Yup! I sure will be. Decided today.", Goku replied as Bulma started pulling grass off the ground in frustration. "Hey, you should enter, too, Vegeta!"

"Hang on. What's with the sudden interest in signing up this time around?", Vegeta asked.

"You can't beat those stadium hot dogs.", Goku replied.

"Hot dogs...? Enough already! Tell me the real reason you're fighting.", Vegeta shouted.

"I'd really rather talk about the hot dogs... but anyway, I found out a really awesome fighter's gonna be there. Been eager to fight this guy for a while. Then, what do you know? He just shows up at the Tournament grounds this morning!"

"Are you sure?", Vegeta puzzled before looking around.

"I'm not picking up any strong energy.", Vegeta said.

"Yeah, I know. Right now, he's keeping his energy in check. But I can still sense this guy. He's one seriously strong fighter.", Goku grinned, only earning Vegeta's scoff.

"Hmph! You must be kidding. You're sure you're not just imagining this? Are we talking about an alien?", Vegeta asked.

"No, sir! 100% Earthling.", Goku said.

"He's an Earthling? And you're telling me he's not at least an android, or something?", Vegeta asked.

"Would I lie to you, Vegeta?", Goku asked.

"There's no way! You two are the best! Give me a break! How could an Earthling possibly be on par with you and Vegeta?", Bulma asked.

"What could they be talking about, Goten?", Valese asked.

"Yeah, it's complicated. But I'll explain everything when we have everyone here.", Goten said.

Just then, Goten noticed Trunks arriving.

"Hey, it's Trunks! Good to see you, dude!", Goten grinned as Trunks landed near him.

"Yo!", Trunks greeted.

"What's this? Now, you're here, too, Trunks?", Bulma asked before noticing the grass on her left hand and tossing it aside out of embarrassment.

"Yeah. So, what's up, Goten? I hear you've been training. Does that mean you're gonna enter the Tournament? We just saw an ad for it.", Trunks said.

"Well, gotta make a great first impression.", Goten replied, chuckling a bit nervously as he stood up.

"Are you sure it doesn't have anything to do with your date, Goten?", Goku asked.

"Dad...!", Goten said in embarrassment, making Valese giggle warmly.

"Hmph! It seems we're both struggling with how soft our kids have become.", Vegeta smirked.

"Got that right. But to be fair, I guess that's what happens when there are no bad guys around.", Goku responded.

Just then, he and the others noticed someone just arriving. Or in this case, returning.

"Grandpaaa!", Pan waved.

"Well, look who's back already!", Goku grinned.

That someone was Pan. She stopped mid-flight and landed near the others.

"Oh, hey, it's little Pan!", Bulma grinned.

"Hi, there! Grandpa, I'm done flying around the world!", Pan grinned.

"Wow! That was pretty fast, wasn't it? Way to go, Pan.", Goku said.

"Do you think I'll be ready for tomorrow?", Pan asked.

"Tomorrow?! Hold on a sec, Pan. Does that mean you're planning on entering the tournament, too?", Trunks asked.

"Yup! 'Course I am!", Pan grinned, surprising Bulma.

"Huh?! But wait, I thought the tournament did away with their junior division a few years ago, didn't they? Are you really putting her up against adults?!", Bulma asked in shock.

"Yeah. She may not win the whole thing, but I'm confident she can get respectively far in the competition. Right now, the only person in this family with any guts is little Pan, here.", Goku grinned, earning Pan's giggle.

"This could be interesting. Maybe I WILL enter.", Vegeta smirked before turning to Trunks.

"Hey, Trunks! Guess what? You're competing, too. That's an order! Unless, of course, you want to see your allowance cut in half.", Vegeta threatened, shocking and stupefying Trunks.

"Haha... Guess you're coming along.", Goten grinned.

"Right. I think that's enough training for today... Let's go home!", Goku grinned.

"Good... I feel like I'm about to collapse...", Goten sighed.

"Aw, do we have to? I can keep going!", Pan asked.

"How?!", Goten asked in surprise.

"She's really excited, huh?", Valese asked.

"Yeah. You could say that...", Goten responded with a bit of a chuckle.

"Wow! You're a bundle of energy, aren't you, Pan? It's funny... You remind me a lot of Goku when he was little!", Bulma grinned, earning Pan's cute giggle.

"It's late. We should get going as well. Say hi to Chi-Chi for me, okay?", Bulma asked.

"Sure! See you tomorrow at the tournament!", Goku responded.

"Yeah... Hey, Trunks. We're training when we get home. Got it?", Vegeta asked.

"Uhuh... Sure, sounds good to me. I was already planning on doing a little extra to get ready for tomorrow, anyway.", Trunks responded.

Then, Vegeta and Trunks started walking away.

"Hey, Dad. can Valese stay over with us for tonight? I've got some things I feel like I should explain.", Goten responded.

"Of course. I don't see why not.", Goku said.

"Really? That's great!", Goten grinned.

"Alright! Let's start heading back!", Goku grinned.

Act II

Narrator: The following day...

The next day, fireworks were exploding everywhere. Or to be more accurate, confetti bombs. It was all in celebration for this year's World Tournament. In fact, Goku's friends and family have all arrived there, one way or another, as Pan looked around ecstatically.

"This place is really buzzing.", Chi-Chi grinned.

"Yeah, it feels less like a tournament and more like some kind of festival.", Videl agreed.

"Yes, it's about time!", Goku spoke eagerly.

"Grandpa! Grandpa!", Pan called, puzzling Goku.

"Huh?"

"Let's go have some fun!", Pan urged.

"Hey, Gohan! How are we on time?", Goku asked.

"Uh... we're early. So, we've got time to kill.", Gohan responded.

"Wait a second. We still have to meet up with Bulma and the others.", Chi-Chi said in a bit of worry.

"It's fine! I'll keep an eye on 'em while we're explorin'.", Goku assured before turning to Pan. "All right! Let's go!"

"Yay!", Pan cheered.

Then, both Goku and Pan left together.

"They sure get along well.", Goten said.

"Keep your eyes peeled for Vegeta while we check this place out.", Goku said.

"I will!", Pan nodded.

So, the two looked around and they explored. Eventually, they found him.

"There you are, Vegeta!", Pan said as she and Goku caught up to him.

"Yo!", Goku added.

"Oh, you're already here, huh?", Vegeta asked.

Then, Pan realized something.

"Hold on... Where's Bulla?", Pan asked.

"She ran off somewhere... She'll be back soon.", Vegeta replied. "By the way, Kakarot, is you-know-who here, too?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah! I haven't seen him yet, but he'll show up.", Goku assured.

"Really? I don't sense anyone powerful nearby.", Vegeta responded in slight disbelief.

"Well, just think of him as something to look forward to.", Goku suggested.

"Tch... You and your mysterious act.", Vegeta scoffed, earning Goku's chuckle.

"Tch! Agh, whatever... Have you signed up already?", Vegeta asked.

"Oh, I was thinking I should get around to that soon.", Goku responded. "Chi-Chi and the others are already at the sign-up table. Wanna head over?"

"In a moment... Bulma should be back soon.", Vegeta replied.

Of course, who should turn up but Bulma, Trunks, and of course, little Bulla, now wearing Trunks' old Gi when he was a kid.

"Well, if it isn't Goku-and Pan!", Bulma spoke in pleasant surprise.

"Yo!", Goku greeted.

"Hi, Pan!", Bulla greeted before both went to each other and pressed their hands against each other.

"Haha! Hi, Bulla!", Pan greeted.

"Whoa! Is that really you, Bulla? You've gotten a heckuva lot bigger since the last time I saw you!", Goku grinned.

"That's what happens when you don't see someone for five years.", Bulma scolded.

"Speaking of seeing someone, I wonder where everyone else is.", Goku puzzled.

"If I had to guess, I'd say Lord Beerus is taking a nap while Whis is enjoying some food at their home planet, as usual. Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale are out training in Outer Space and Cocoa's busy with the Pride Troopers. And as for Broly and his friends, they're still hiding out on Lord Beerus' planet to steer clear of the Frieza Force. He might even be training with Whis to master his uncontrollable rage and the power that comes with it like always.", Vegeta replied.

"Oh! Yeah! That's right. I should pay them a visit sometime.", Goku said.

"Speaking of visits, Mai's on her way here right now. She had some last-minute testing to do back at graduate school.", Trunks stated.

"I see.", Vegeta responded.

"I haven't seen you in forever! I heard you were gonna be fighting, is that true?!", Bulla asked.

"Yup! I've been training super hard for this!", Pan shouted.

"Just don't get hurt, okay?", Bulla asked.

"Are you going to fight, too, Bulla?", Pan asked.

"Yeah. I've been training with my dad, so I can get stronger!", Bulla responded eagerly.

"That sounds awesome!", Pan spoke giddily.

"By the way, where is everyone?", Bulma asked.

"Chi-Chi and the others are already here.", Goku replied as he led the way back to Chi-Chi and the others.

Sure enough, they spotted them.

"Yoohooo!", Bulma called, waving and attracting Gohan's attention.

"It's Bulma! And everybody!", Gohan said.

"We're finally all together!", Chi-Chi grinned.

"Whoa! There's so many people here... Is this everyone?", Goten asked.

"Well, almost...", Trunks responded.

"Trunks!", a feminine voice called.

Then, everyone turned and saw a long, black-haired girl running over to catch up.

"Hi, there, Mai!", Trunks greeted.

As soon as Mai caught up, she gave a cute peck on the cheek to Trunks, making him blush.

"Sorry I took so long. I got here as fast as I could.", Mai apologized.

"It's okay, Mai. We were all just waiting for you. And the tournament hasn't started yet, so that's a plus.", Trunks assured.

"Trunks and Mai kissing in the tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!", Pan teased warmly.

Frankly, this left Trunks embarrassed as he stammered while Mai blushed.

"Come on, Pan...! Not cool!", Trunks spoke, only earning Pan's cute giggle.

"I can't help it! You two look perfect for each other!", Pan responded.

"That's not all. Master Roshi should be coming, too!", Goku stated.

Meanwhile, Krillin spotted Goku and the others.

"Here they come!", Krillin chuckled.

"Hey!", Goku waved as he and the others caught up to Krillin, his family, Piccolo, Puar, Yamcha, Oolong, Dende, and Master Roshi.

"How's it goin', guys? You're lookin' good.", Goku greeted.

"Don't you 'lookin' good' us, Goku. I get that you're in training, but at least drop us a line now and then. It's been ages since we've heard even a peep from you.", Krillin said, earning Goku's nervous giggle.

"Hahaha! Sorry about that! It's funny. Bulma scolded me for the same thing. You guys have phones, too, right?", Goku asked.

"Please... I can't figure mine out.", Piccolo replied.

"Right... Hey! Are you gonna compete, too, Piccolo?", Goku asked.

"And step into the ring with a monster like you? No thanks. I'm gonna kick back and enjoy the show... I'm too old for this.", Piccolo responded.

"Come on! It'll be fun...! And I don't believe that 'too old' crap. You haven't changed in 10 years!", Gohan responded.

"Oh, wow! Where did the time go?", Goku asked.

Then, Bulma spoke to the others.

"For all of you who are fighting, you'd better not injure any of the regular participants. Also, no one is allowed to fly during your matches...! If you create a scene, it'll only lead to a HUGE headache.", Bulma warned.

"Yeah-I know, Mom.", Trunks responded before Bulma turned toward Vegeta.

"Hey, Vegeta...! You're the person I'm most worried about here!", Bulma said.

"Safe to say, he hasn't changed a bit.", Piccolo guessed.

"We have to go, Grandpa!", Pan spoke eagerly.

"Right! "Kay, see ya later!", Goku said as Pan held out her hand with Goku taking it.

"Yeah, don't make us wait another 10 years!", Krillin responded as the fighters proceeded.

"Sure!", Goku grinned.

"Well, come on, then. Let's get going.", Mai said moving to go in before Trunks stopped her.

"Um, Mai? Aren't you forgetting something?", Trunks asked before pointing his thumb to just about his butt.

"Oh, right. Silly me. Thanks, sweetie.", Mai said before she closed her eyes.

Then all of a sudden, a large bump grew just above her butt and then the bump shrank a little as a tail slipped out from under her skirt. It was quite long and slender.

"Okay, now let's go.", Mai said as everyone began making their way to the tournament building.

"Oh, man, I don't know what it is about that guy, but you just can't stay mad at him. It's impossible!", Krillin said to himself.

Meanwhile, Hercule spoke to Buu about his plan.

"Let's just stick with the same strategy we've been usin'. Buu, you keep winnin' until you become the Champion of all the challengers. And then, when you go up against me, the reignin' super champ, you take a dive. As always, I have to ask that you please be as gentle as you possibly can with the other competitors you fight. If you use your full strength, there won't be anyone left for you to go up against at the next Tournament.", Hercule warned as Buu ate some fruit and drank some juice.

"Buu know!", Buu responded.

Just then, Bee curiously turned to the door and looked toward it before the door knocked.

"Hmm? Is that another of my fans desperate to adore me? I thought I told them not to let anyone bother me!", Hercule spoke, obviously a bit annoyed as he went to the door. But when he opened it, who should he find but Goku.

"Hi.", Goku greeted.

"Well! If it isn't my old pal, Goku!', Hercule greeted.

"Don't forget about me, Gramps!", Pan greeted.

Hercule chuckled warmly and picked Pan up.

"I'd never forget my adorable little Pan! How's my baby doing?!", Hercule asked.

"Hehe... I'm fine! Thank you for asking!", Pan giggled.

Goku then turned to see Buu waving to him as he ate happily, earning the Saiyan's slight chuckle.

"Did you come all the way here just to cheer on your Grandpa?", Hercule asked.

"Uh-uh! I'm gonna win the whole tournament!", Pan responded, shocking Hercule.

"Obviously, the six of us made it past the prelims.", Goku explained.

"Grandpa G's fighting too... So is Goten... Bulla... And Trunks! Even Vegeta signed up!", Pan added as Hercule noticed Goten, Trunks, Bulla, and Vegeta.

"Hey, good to see you, dude!", Goten and Trunks greeted in unison as Bulla smiled and waved innocently.

Hercule yelled out in despair and panic before falling to the ground backwards.

"Not to worry, big guy. If any of us makes it through to the end, we got no problem letting you win the final round.", Goku assured.

"Gee, really?! You'd do that for me?!", Hercule asked in surprise and relief.

"Yeah, of course. Why not?", Goku asked.

Hercule fawned over that in relief.

"Though, it's always possible that someone besides us or Buu could make it to the finals. Then, you're on your own.", Goku warned, making Hercule widen his eyes in a bit of concern as said eyes turned into black dots for a moment.

"Huh? Oh, right. That's true, but if you try your hardest, you just might make it!", Hercule responded.

"'Scuse me, Mr. Satan? All our friends and family are here to see us, but there's no more seats, so they wanted to know if maybe you could do something.", Goten said.

"Oh, is that what they told you?", Hercule asked before laughing. "I'll give the staff a good talking-to. Yup! They'll find somethin' for the champ's family."

But later, that wasn't quite the case. In fact, they were practically given the worst seats possible very close to the arena.

"What kind of seats are these?", Piccolo thought.

"Oh, come on. Seriously?", Krillin thought.

"I mean, sure, we've got a fine view, but everyone else has a fine view of us! I feel like an animal at the zoo.", Bulma thought.

"This is... uncomfortably close.", Valese groaned.

"If I'd known it was gonna be like this, I would've just gone ahead and signed up to fight.", Gohan said.

"You've really done it this time, Dad.", Videl said, blushing.

"So embarrassing...", Gohan admitted.

Frankly, Bulma wasn't going to take anymore of that.

"Oh, for Pete's sake, this is ridiculous. Let's get out of here!", Bulma said in discontent, standing up and preparing to leave.

"Wait! Hold on! Just let me go have a word with my father!", Videl urged before running off.

Later, the group now had much better seats from inside the top of the archway where they can see the fight and nobody has to watch them.

"This is so much better.", Valese grinned.

"And we can still see everything, too.", Bulma said.

"Wow, these seats are much better. Dad really came through for us.", Videl grinned.

"I'm not gonna lie. I was worried there for a minute.", Krillin chuckled, fanning himself. Meanwhile, Gohan spoke with Piccolo.

"Wow... Goku really said that?", Piccolo asked.

"Yeah... You think someone that strong would actually show up?", Gohan asked.

"He is not the type to make things up. He must've sensed something unusual.", Piccolo replied.

"But you aren't sensing anything, right?", Gohan asked.

"I'm not... But knowing Goku, he'll try to face off against this mystery fighter as soon as possible. He'll fight him in the first round so he can go all-out."

"I get it...", Gohan said. "Buu's entering the tournament, too! Dad'll ask him to use his magic to set the bracket exactly how he wants it."

"Correct.", Piccolo said.

"So basically, whoever Dad fights in the first round is the guy.", Gohan guessed.

"What's that?", Piccolo asked.

"I got it from a staff member. It's a list of all the fighters who got past the prelims... It's got to be one of these people. Let's see here... Nok... Wild Tiger... Uub... Captain Chicken... Nareg... and some guy named . Who could it be?", Gohan asked.

Meanwhile, the World Tournament Announcer spoke up as all the tournament participants started to step up.

"Are you folks ready to witness the drawing that will determine today's fight line-up?! Now, please give an enthusiastic welcome to all our fighters! These are the brave warriors who fought their way through the preliminary rounds and now seek victory in the finals!", the announcer shouted as the audience cheered.

As for Uub, he was the only one who seemed quite nervous while the rest were confident or eager.

"Hey, when we fought here last time, remember how I totally crushed it in one?", Trunks asked.

"Won't let that happen twice.", Goten responded.

"Hey! Let's have fun, Goten!", Bulla grinned to him.

"You can do it, Trunks!", Mai cheered.

"Try your best, Goten!", Valese added.

Pan and Bulla giggled as they walked up in front of Buu.

"Whoo! Look, it's Buu!", one of the ladies cheered.

"We love you, Buu! You're the greatest!", another added before Goku chuckled a bit.

"Wow, Buu's really built quite a rabid fanbase from competing here the last couple years.", Goku grinned.

Eventually, all the tournament's participants gathered in the ring. And, as Piccolo and Gohan predicted, the fighters have been decided.

"The matchups for the 1st round have all been set! First up, we have Pan VS Wild Tiger! Next comes Bulla facing off against Goten! The 3rd match is between Goku and Uub! After that, it's Nareg taking on Captain Chicken! Followed by Mr. Buu battling Trunks! And rounding things out will be Nok VS Vegeta. The tournament will begin in just a few moments. So, please pay attention to when your name is called for and step into the ring. Until then, you're welcome to rest, warm up, or do whatever else you need to do to get ready. Well, that's all.", the announcer said.

"Looks like you're up first, Pan.", Trunks said.

"Yeah. I'll do my best!", Pan responded.

But Wild Tiger then walked up, looking peeved.

"Come on, why do I gotta fight some teeny tiny kid? The mighty Wild Tiger doin' battle with a kid? Is this some kinda joke?", Wild Tiger asked.

In response, Pan stuck her tongue out.

"Mehh!", Pan glared, sticking her tongue out.

"Gah! How'd a kid like you even make it through the preliminaries? Whatever, just crawl home while you still can and play with your dollies.", Wild Tiger responded.

"Jeez, Pan is so lucky... How come I'm stuck with Buu in the first round?", Trunks complained.

"Sorry, man. Sucks, doesn't it? Bulla's gonna be too easy.", Goten said.

Pan then turned to Bulla, who quietly laughed to herself.

"How much did Goten train again?", Bulla whispered.

"Considering you train every day with your dad? You're going to destroy him.", Pan responded.

Both girls giggled as they high-fived each other.

Play DBZ Kakarot Music: "Return of the Wounded"

"Kakarot... Is this really the guy? The one you were talking about?", Vegeta asked.

"Yup!", Goku nodded.

Vegeta couldn't believe his eyes.

"No way! That scrawny boy?! Get out of here! He doesn't seem very powerful... Could it be someone else?", Vegeta puzzled.

"Nope! I'm positive it's him.", Goku replied.

The Boy From the Backwoods

"Uh-oh. It looks like Mom might've been right when she warned me... I might be the strongest one in our village, but the world's a really big place and there are bound to be a lot of people out there that are a whole lot stronger than me...! People like that guy...", Uub thought, turning to Vegeta right before he breaking out in a cold sweat the moment Vegeta turned to see Uub. "What am I supposed to do now...? I already told everybody back home I was gonna win easily and use the prize money to buy tons of food for the village...!"

"I've been waiting for this. The whole time I was off by myself training? I was waiting for this kid to enter the tournament.", Goku whispered.

"I have no clue what's going on. So, why don't you enlighten me?", Vegeta asked.

"10 years ago, right before I finally defeated the purely evil version of Buu, I made a wish: I wished for him to come back as a good guy so we could fight again without destroying the world.", Goku responded.

Then, it flashed back to Goku's fervent wish.

"You're an incredible warrior, Buu. It was you against the universe and you nearly won. Whenever we cornered you, you just got stronger. You changed forms so many times, even I had enough. I hope you can come back once more, but good. I want to fight you again, one-on-one, without all the loss. I'll be right there waiting for you, only stronger.", Goku said before standing up straight with only one hand held toward the Spirit Bomb now before he held his left hand near his forehead with his middle and index fingers held out, almost in salute. "'Til then, Buu."

Then, it went back to the present.

"Well, it looks like King Yemma must've heard my wish and decided to grant it.", Goku finished.

"So..., you're saying that child's the reincarnation of Buu?!", Vegeta shouted.

"Mm-hmm. I'm sure of it. Don't know how, but I can just tell that it's him. And look at his name. It's Uub, you get it? Read it backwards, it spells 'Buu', how about that? Huh. Quite a coincidence, don't you think?", Goku asked.

Vegeta turned away and growled in annoyance.

"Yup! I can't wait to see how powerful he really is! It's gonna be awesome.", Goku spoke eagerly.

But as for Pan and Bulla...

"Hey, Pan. You see that kid? I think he's named Uub.", Bulla said.

"Yeah. I see him, too, Bulla. I think he looks kinda nervous.", Pan responded.

"Yeah..., no kidding.", Bulla concurred.

Just then, Nok shouted out to Vegeta.

"Hey! Old man! I'm talkin' to you, Gramps!", Nok called. "Looks like you're my opponent in the first round. I just wanted to come by and pay my respects while you're still breathing."

But Vegeta paid no mind to him.

"What, are you tryin' to ignore me? Or did you go deaf? HEY! Hahahahaha-!", Nok laughed.

But unfortunately for him, Vegeta struck at him with a backhand, sending him flying all the way toward the sign for the World Tournament, shocking everyone, if not leaving Goku, Goten, Trunks, and Pan a bit concerned as they giggled nervously while Bulla just giggled.

"That's Vegeta...", Bulma sighed.

"That was awesome!", Bulla giggled.

"Somebody should tell them. We've had our first forfeit. I'll see you in round two, Kakarot.", Vegeta said.

"Ahaha...", Goku said nervously.

"Ahh... He's lucky, all things considered.", Trunks sighed.

Act III

Later, the announcer shouted out to the audience.

"Ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment you've all been waiting for! The World Martial Arts Tournament is about to begin!", the announcer called, earning the audience's cheers. "104 fighters submitted their names and we've selected the 12 strongest and most dynamic to compete, battling for riches or the chance to challenge our champ! Once again, the prize money is being provided by our champion, sponsor, and heroic savior of Earth, Mr. Satan!"

Then, the audience chanted Hercule's name as they flipped signs, making one big banner of Hercule's face on one half and a sign that says, "Go! Go! Satan!" on the other.

"Mr! Satan! Mr! Satan! Mr! Satan! Mr! Satan"

Meanwhile, as Uub watched from the sign nervously, Wild Tiger glared toward Pan, whose sash was getting tightened a bit around her waist by Videl.

"Hang tough out there. Dad and I will be cheering you on from upstairs, okay?", Videl asked.

"Yup!", Pan grinned.

"Don't be nervous, Pan. I know you can handle it, 'kay?", Gohan asked.

"'Kay.", Pan nodded.

"Are you ready for some action?! Let's bring out our first competitors!", the announcer shouted.

Then, Gohan and Videl moved back to give Pan some space.

"All right, that's you.", Videl grinned as Pan hopped off the bench and went off for the ring.

"Okay, here I come!", Pan waved as she stopped and turned for a moment before continuing on for the ring as Gohan waved to her and everyone else gave a thumbs-up for Pan.

"Our first astounding arena-shaking match pairs Pan against Wild Tiger! Pan's a prodigy only 4 years old! And if that's not exciting enough, here's another fact! She is, believe it or not..., the grandkids of... Mr. Satan!", the announcer shouted as he tossed and spun his microphone in the air before catching it, making the audience cheer. "And her opponent's no lightweight! He completed in the last tournament! He narrowly went all the way, but was defeated by Buu! Wow! Give it up for the 6-foot powerhouse, Wild Tiger!"

Then, Pan stepped out first and then Wild Tiger.

"She's so cute! Good luck, Pan!", one of the audience shouted.

"Don't get too rough on her, Tiger!", another shouted with a chuckle.

Wild Tiger growled as he looked toward Pan.

"The champ's grandkids. Well, at least she's famous. But still, it's degrading having to fight with a kid! Dang it... I'll just flick her out of bounds.", Wild Tiger said to himself.

"Looks like she doesn't have a chance, but she passed the prelims, right? How could a 4-year-old qualify? That seems crazy.", one of the audience asked.

"Yeah? Well, maybe it's rigged. She does have friends in high places.", another audience member guessed.

Meanwhile, Hercule peeped out from the very top of the sign.

"I sure hope Pan's gonna be all right...", Hercule said to himself.

"Yay! Our little girl's going first!", the Ox King beamed.

"Pan, go easy on that guy!", Gohan shouted.

"Yeah, Pan! Don't break him!", Bulla called from the other side of the sign.

With that, Pan and Wild Tiger now faced each other in the ring before the drummers started drumming.

"Now, for our first match of the day! Fighters, YOU MAY BEGIN!", the announcer shouted before the gong rang.

"Don't hate me for this, kid!", Wild Tiger said before Pan suddenly appeared right in front of him, surprising him.

"Okay! I'll show you what I've got!", Pan responded.

Then, Pan quickly slapped him in the face, knocking him by the wayside. Of course, while it did surprise him, it wasn't quite enough to knock him out of the ring just yet. Although, it did leave more than a few bruises on his face with Pan landing back on the ring with Wild Tiger getting back up. But very quickly, Pan started landing her rapid punches and kicks, knocking him back to the center of the ring.

"She's incredible! Pan lands one attack after another!", the announcer said.

"Huh?! What's going on here?! How can a toddler be this strong?!", Wild Tiger panicked.

"I'm not a toddler!", Pan retorted.

"Ah, crap...! I got a bad feeling about this!", Wild Tiger said worriedly.

"You better pay attention!", Pan smirked before quickly firing rapid blows of air from her fists right at Wild Tiger, knocking him to the edge yet again.

"She's amazing! Pan lands her signature skill! What a shocker! I can hardly believe my eyes! Little Pan is overwhelming the enormous Wild Tiger! That's the granddaughter of Mr. Satan for you! She may be small, but those tiny fists sure do pack a wallop!", the announcer shouted.

"Gyaaaah! How is this possible?! This is absolutely stupid!", Wild Tiger panicked.

But Pan did not take kindly to that. At ALL. In fact, her eyes widened in shock before getting angry.

"Did you just call me stupid?!", Pan glared.

"Uh-oh. He called her stupid...", Bulla said to herself.

"Huh? N-No, that's not what I meant at all!", Wild Tiger said, trying to diffuse the situation.

"Shouldn't have done that.", Bulla said.

"Now, I'm mad!", Pan shouted.

"Now, he's in for it.", Bulla said.

"Wait a sec! You've got me all wrong, kid!", Wild Tiger shouted.

But that did nothing to stop Pan from leaping in toward Wild Tiger.

"It's time to end this!", Pan shouted.

Then, she quickly kicked Wild Tiger in the abdomen, sending him skipping across the ring and flying right smackdab into a wall, shocking Hercule in surprise while Gohan, Videl, and Bulma cheered and Piccolo just grinned.

"All right!", Gohan cheered.

Meanwhile the audience was shocked by Pan's display of power shown before them, one of them even spilling a drink from the can right on to his lap. Then, Wild Tiger comically peeled off the wall before the announcer rushed in and saw that he may be battered and bruised, but not dead.

"I've got visual confirmation, fans! Wild Tiger has left the ring, but he's gonna be okay so there's no disqualification for Pan! That means she wins! Pan takes the first victory and moves up!", the announcer shouted before Pan bowed while the staff got out a stretcher for Wild Tiger and everyone else cheered, especially Bulla.

"All right, Pan!", Bulla cheered as she waved to her.

"Way to go! That's our girl!", Ox King grinned.

"Hey!", Bulla waved.

Then, Pan happily skipped over back into the stands where Hercule rushed in after her.

"Don't worry, I'm here!", Hercule shouted before running right into the sign, tipping it over before he landed.

"My poor baby, are you okay?!", Hercule panicked.

"Yup! It was as easy as pie!", Pan grinned.

"Of course she's okay.", Trunks said before Hercule sighed.

Then, Goku walked in.

"Way to go, Pan!", Goku grinned as he patted her head, making her giggle.

Then, one of the staff called out.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, bout two is about to begin! Competitors Bulla and Goten... Please come see me when you're ready to battle.", the staff member urged.

Bulla nodded to him. Then, moments later.

"Our second match has yet another coming-of-age story! It's Bulla VS Goten! Now, some of you may already know Goten from the previous tournament 10 years ago. He may have lost, but let's hope that this time, he's better prepared. Especially since this time, he's going up against Bulla! Now, if she's anything like Pan, who won the last match, there's a good chance that she may win this one, too!", the announcer stated, worrying Goten as he said that before he turned to see Valese.

"You can win this, Goten! Just go easy on her, okay?!", Valese cheered.

This made Goten blush a bit with a smile before becoming nervous as he thought to himself.

"Like she could even say that... She has no idea how strong Bulla might be. Heck, even I don't know how strong she is...! Still..., I'll hold back just enough to knock her off the ring and make sure she doesn't get hurt too bad. That works, right...?!", Goten thought to himself as he and Bulla stood and faced each other.

"Don't hate me if you lose this one, okay?", Goten asked.

"Okay. But if I win, I won't rub it in your face too much.", Bulla responded.

"Ready? BEGIN!", the announcer shouted.

Then, the gong rang. Goten dashed toward Bulla with a strike, but missed as she suddenly vanished, reappeared behind Goten and then kicked him back just a few feet near the edge. This left him stunned.

"Gaah...! Oh, man...! That was close!", Goten said in surprise.

Then, Bulla charged toward Goten and repeatedly jabbed punches at Goten, who was on the defensive as he blocked. The more she struck, the more Goten was starting to get pushed back inch by inch. The moment Goten realized what she was doing, he yelled out and knocked her back with a shockwave, knocking her close to the edge, too.

"Now, to finish this.", Goten said before dashing toward her, not knowing that Bulla was smirking as he did.

"I just hope I don't hurt her too bad.", Goten thought.

But before he could knock her off the ring, though, Bulla leapt up and headbutted him in the gut, quickly launching him off the ring and back-first onto the grass, astonishing almost the whole audience as Pan giggled and Vegeta smirked with pride.

"Oooh, boy...", Goku said, covering his face a bit.

Then, the announcer caught up to see Goten standing back up, although in disbelief.

"Oh, man...! I can't believe I didn't see that coming...!", Goten groaned.

"There you have it, folks! Goten loses by ring out, which means that Bulla is the winner and will be advancing to the next match!", the announcer stated as Bulla grinned and waved.

"Way to go, Bulla!", Pan waved.

"You sure kicked his butt, huh?", Bulma asked.

"Hi!", Pan shouted as she waved faster to Bulla.

Moments later, in the stands...

"Oh, man... I can't believe I lost...!", Goten groaned.

"Well, if you had trained more, you'd have nothing to worry about. This is on you, kiddo.", Goku said.

"Oh, gee, thanks...", Goten said sarcastically.

Valese then walked up to Goten.

"Are you all right, Goten?", Valese asked.

"Yeah. I'm not physically hurt too bad, if that means anything.", Goten said.

"I thought you did really well out there. Even if you did lose.", Valese assured.

"Really?", Goten asked.

"Mm-hmm.", Valese nodded.

"Thanks... Maybe I should get to training some more.", Goten responded.

This wasn't unnoticed as Trunks grinned.

"Heh. Well, what do you know? Even when you lose again, Goten, you won this time, too. What are the odds?", Trunks said.

Just then, the staff spoke out.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, bout three is about to begin! Competitors Goku and Uub... Please come see me when you're ready to battle.", the staff member urged.

Goku then turned to Pan, who turned to him.

"It's your turn, Grandpa. Good luck!", Pan grinned.

"Thanks.", Goku responded before turning to Uub.

"That means we're next, little guy. Best of luck out there.", Goku said, holding his hand out to Uub.

"Yes, thank you. And thanks for sharing the room with me, sir.", Uub thanked as he took Goku's hand, who grinned to him.

As Goku and Uub stepped into the ring, the announcer spoke up again.

"Our third match this time around has a riveting storyline of its own! It's Goku VS Uub! Goku has fought in the World Martial Arts Tournament several times over the years! He first entered as a boy himself and as a teen, he was strong enough to win it all! Based on my experience calling these fights, I believe he's one of our top contenders and could go out all the way! We could expect a rip-roaring match between Goku and Mr. Satan's protegé, Mr. Buu! But he'll have to prove he's still in fighting shape against our other young Contestant! Uub is a 10-year-old from a small village on South Island. And as the oldest of 5 kids, he spends his time helping his family get by! He hopes to win that prize money for them. Isn't that inspiring?"

"What a shame... I can't believe how unlucky he is. He came all this way to the tournament- only to get put up against Goku in his first match.", Bulma said in worry.

"Now, THIS is the real championship match.", Piccolo said.

"I'd say so.", Dende agreed.

"All right, contestants, are you ready?! Let's begin the match!", the announcer shouted before the gong rang with Uub looking nervous.

"Hey, don't be so nervous, Uub. You can't give your all if you're shaking like that.", Goku said.

"Right...! Sorry...", Uub apologized.

"Hmm... What should I do about this? Maybe he'll calm down if we fight a little. That's something that always works for me... I mean, I might as well give it a shot.", Goku thought before entering his stance.

"Okay! Don't hold back on me.", Goku said.

But Uub only whimpered as he shook a bit.

"Hey, are you all right?", Goku asked.

But Uub still shook nervously.

"Oh, man. He's spooked...", Goku said in worry.

"Don't look now, folks, but Uub seems to be incredibly nervous at the moment! But can you blame him? Facing Goku in front of such a huge crowd?", the announcer asked.

"This is sad. I need him to focus. There's gotta be a way I can get him to fight with everything he's got! Hrmmm... Oh-oh, I know! I'll try making him mad like Vegeta did with Cabba... Well, if this is what it takes...", Goku thought.

"Hey, kid! Suck it up! This is an arena, not a playground! Or do they only make wimps in your backwoods village?", Goku shouted.

Hearing that from Goku was enough to stun Vegeta, Pan, Bulla, and the others in surprise. They never heard Goku speak like that.

"Huh...? What did you say?!", Uub said.

"I hope you weren't dumb enough to fall for my nice-guy routine back there. That's an act I put on around my family. The truth is, I'm a mean jerk and proud of it! And what else...? Oh, that's good. I think you're ugly! I'm gonna kick your butt so bad, you'll walk home with a limp! Or, uh..., maybe I'll kill you instead, yeah! And throw your bones in a bag and hand 'em to your fat and also, ugly mom!", Goku said, quickly angering Uub as he growled.

"MY MOM IS NOT FAT! YOU BETTER TAKE THAT BACK!", Uub shouted.

This surprised Goku for a moment before he smirked.

"Fine. You're right, she's not fat. She's way worse! She's a dingleberry!", Goku mocked as he lightly patted his behind, making Uub angrier as he growled.

"Don't you dare insult my mother!", Uub growled.

"Oh, yeah? Why don't you stop me then? Come on-I'm waiting! Unless it's true?!", Goku responded, making Uub growl louder.

"What's your dad doing? I wish they would stop talking and fight.", Trunks said.

"Yeah.", Goten agreed.

Meanwhile, Bulla turned to Vegeta.

"Wait... Isn't that like what you did with Cabba a long time ago, Daddy?", Bulla asked.

Then, it flashed back to when Cabba first went Super Saiyan during the tournament against the 6th Universe only for Cabba to be bested by Vegeta's Super Saiyan God SS form before flashing back to the present.

"Oh! You think that might be why Grandpa's being mean with him?", Pan asked to Bulla, earning her nod and Vegeta's usual scoff.

"Well, what do you know? Finally taking a page out of my playbook, eh, Kakarot? Well played.", Vegeta said.

"Now, I'll go for the jugular. Time to rain down some more insults on that guy!", Goku thought before dashing toward Uub.

"And... your dad's A BED WETTER!", Goku shouted right before kicking Uub back to the edge.

Of course, Uub hasn't fallen out yet, but he is getting angrier, much to Goku's smirk.

"How dare you insult my family like that...?! They do everything they can for us! My mother isn't fat...! And my dad doesn't wet the bed!", Uub shouted as his muscles bulked up some.

"I WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY WITH THIS!", Uub roared as his white aura erupted and exploded, shocking everyone, if not astonishing them just as much.

"Whoa...! This is unreal!", Krillin shouted in surprise.

"Wow... Look at that power!", Gohan added.

"Nice! There's that fire! You made me wait for it, huh?", Goku grinned.

Then, Uub roared again as he charged toward Goku and landed a kick, only for him to block it. Though, it wasn't without consequence. Upon blocking, Goku felt a tense pain in his left arm. That left him open for Uub to strike with his left fist right at Goku's cheek, knocking him to the edge. Uub panted for a moment before Goku got up.

"Now that's more like it, kid.", Goku said before looking up to see Uub in the air about to descend on him.

But before he could hit, Goku vanished, making Uub crash into the ground this time as Goku flipped back to the center of the ring.

"There's no doubt in my mind. You ARE the reincarnation of Buu!", Goku grinned.

Still, Uub was angry at Goku and charged in to attack only for Goku to dodge and block the attacks, even knocking Goku back at some point, though he only turned around and grinned.

"Take this!", Uub shouted before trying to strike him only for Goku to grab his arm, lift him up in the air, and then toss him into the ring.

When the dust settled, Uub popped up and panted.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me that's all you got? Come at me and don't let up!", Goku urged while looking down at him, literally.

Of course, Uub was madder than ever as his face turned bright red before he started pulling himself out of the debris.

"I'm gonna... smash... your face in!", Uub grunted right before he successfully burst out from the debris and then landed before turning to face Goku.

"All right! That's what I wanted to hear!", Goku grinned.

"I have to find a way...! I can't lose this match! I promised my mom and dad I'd win this tournament no matter what! I promised I'd get that money!", Uub thought.

"Bring it! It's about time for you to face me head-on!", Goku urged before dashing toward him.

Once he was close enough, Uub blocked Goku's attack with his arm, only to suffer some recoil and then get struck in the face next, right before getting slammed in the back. But that time, Uub wasn't going down, so he and Goku clashed with one another with Uub steadily gaining the upper hand on Goku.

"Impressive... Little by little, he's catching up to me.", Goku thought before striking only for Uub to block the attacks and clash again.

"This is unbelievable...! That child, he's learning to fight as he goes, improving with every hit...! Just like with Broly.", Vegeta said, remembering when he fought Broly at the Land of Ice, especially when his Super Saiyan God form wasn't enough to even deal damage to Broly in his Rage state before going back to the present as Vegeta tensed a bit.

Meanwhile, Uub blocked Goku's kick with his arms. After a moment, the two fighters clashed yet again up until the two backed away. But Uub quickly charged toward Goku and elbowed him in the cheek only to get kneed in the lower jaw. This started yet another clash as even the announcer was left speechless along with everyone else.

"He... He's incredible!", Videl gasped.

"How can a boy that young hold his own against Goku?", Chi-Chi asked.

"You don't think he could be the fighter Goku was talking about, do you? The one he came here to face?", Bulma asked as she turned to Piccolo before everyone else did and saw Piccolo smirking.

Meanwhile, Goku and Uub's clash was so great that the impact caused the ring to crack up in some spots along the edge. Then, both fighters backed away from each other.

"Ha ha! This is pretty fun! Man! It feels like I've been waiting forever to fight you like this!", Goku grinned.

"What are you talking about?", Uub puzzled.

Goku quickly caught on what he said out loud and got a bit nervous.

"Uh, don't worry about it! I wanna see how fired up I can get you!", Goku responded.

Then, he and Uub charged toward each other before they clashed again with the audience starting to cheer.

"This is great! Get him, kid!", one of the audience shouted.

"Yee-haw!", another shouted as the rest of the audience cheered.

"It's true!", Dende shouted before Piccolo chuckled.

"Seems Goku was right. That boy is the reincarnation of Buu. Yeah, no two ways about it.", Piccolo said.

In the ring, Goku and Uub finally clashed direct fists with each other, lightning sparking from said clash.

"Wow. They're going all-out.", Bulla said.

"Yeah. They're not pulling any punches.", Pan added.

"It appears to be a perfectly even match with both Goku and Uub refusing to give up any ground!", the announcer said.

After a moment, they moved their fists away and then clashed with their legs. But a moment afterward, Uub struck Goku with a kick and landed multiple hits before he jumped up and slammed Goku on the back. The announcer ran up to the ring as Uub started spinning him while holding his legs.

"Uub shows off amazing power! Despite his little boy body, he's tossing Goku around like a rag doll!", the announcer said.

Speaking of tossing, Uub tossed Goku up into the air and then leapt up into the air right before then zooming past Goku.

"THIS IS FOR EARLIER!", Uub shouted before smashing Goku in the back, causing him to crash onto the ring with an explosion of smoke, worrying Pan, Bulla, and the others.

"Grandpa!", Pan shouted as she rushed over.

"Wait!", Hercule shouted as he leapt and hugged Pan to keep her from going in.

"Hang in there, Grandpa!", Pan shouted.

"That looked bad...", Bulma said as Videl shivered in worry.

"Is he okay?", Videl asked.

"Goku!", Chi-Chi shouted before Uub landed back on the ring, the smoke clearing away.

"Wow! Fans, is this match over?!", the announcer shouted.

"Whoa! That kid's awesome!", one of the audience shouted.

"AAAH! He's so cool!", another added as the rest of the audience cheered.

As Uub took a closer look, cautiously, however, the ground suddenly started shaking with Goku bellowing as well. Before anyone knew it, the debris started floating up with lightning sparking out from the center. To Uub's surprise, Goku was floating back up and turning around toward Uub, his gi in tatters from the attack before Goku landed with the debris falling back down.

"Dang! I felt that one. Nice job.", Goku grinned as he cracked his neck a bit.

"Why is he so happy that he got hit?", Uub asked.

"Okay! Round two!", Goku shouted.

Act IV

The audience cheered as after a few moments, the two vanished and the ring started to crack and burst into pieces, forming mini-craters as the roof of the entrance even got shed off a few straws before they reappeared.

"All right!", Goku said before he vanished with Uub following suit as they clashed again.

But then, Goku landed a kick from behind on Uub, knocking him to the ring. Still, Uub wasn't willing to go down without a fight.

"I won't give up...! I gave them my word! I told them that I'd come back victorious! I don't care what it takes! I can't quit! I WON'T!", Uub tensed, surprising Goku.

"I have to beat you...! I made everyone a promise! That's why I won't lose TO YOOUUUUU!", Uub roared as his white aura erupted, much to Goku's joy as he grinned.

Then, Uub yelled out as he even caused parts of the ring to fly out right at Goku, hitting him and knocking him back a good inches. Then, Uub dashed alongside the pieces and moved in to strike only for Goku to vanish, causing Uub to miss him, just stopping near the edge. But then, one of the pieces that flung out hit Uub, nearly knocking him off the ring. Fortunately, his left foot caught onto the edge, preventing him from falling out.

"No way...!", one of the audience members said.

"Whoa... How's he doing that?", another asked.

At the same time, Uub got back up only to notice Goku floating in mid air.

"He... He can fly?!", Uub shouted in shock.

Then, Goku cupped his hands together and pulled them to his right side all while a glowing blue energy orb formed in-between his two palms and grew larger, even giving off a powerful atmosphere as a few small rays of light escaped from his palms.

"KA...! ME...! HA...! ME...!", Goku began as Uub trembled a bit.

"Hey, easy, Dad!", Gohan shouted.

Goku tensed a bit before becoming puzzled, if not worried. Suddenly, the ring broke apart, sending Uub falling out of the ring. Fortunately, before Uub could touch the ground, Goku caught him by the wrist and was lifting him up. When he opened his eyes, Uub was amazed to find Goku grinning a friendly smile to him. Soon after, he and Uub landed back onto the ring.

"Wait... How were you able to do that?!", Uub asked.

"Sorry. I should've guessed you don't know how to fly. It does make sense. You've been on your own. Nobody's taught you anything. You just had to learn it all on instinct up to this point, right?", Goku guessed, puzzling Uub.

"And I'm sorry about that name-calling I was doing, too. It was an act. I wanted to see what you were actually capable of. If I hadn't pushed you like that, you wouldn't have gone all-out. But now, I know. You're everything I was hoping you'd be, Uub. You're awesome. I'm impressed.", Goku grinned.

Uub blushed a bit toward Goku out of puzzlement.

"The problem is: You don't quite know how to control your power yet. I'm betting you've never fought like this before, have you?", Goku guessed.

"Uh... no.", Uub replied.

"Yup... That's what I thought. Hmm... Let me think here...", Goku said, thinking to himself for a moment.

"All right, I've got it. I'm gonna come live with you and your village for a while and teach you how to use your power the right way. If you commit to it, you'll become stronger than you can imagine. Well, what do you say?", Goku asked.

"I do wanna be strong! Thank you!", Uub grinned.

But then, his smile turned into a frown.

"But...", Uub began as he turned away slightly.

"Hm? What is it?", Goku asked.

"I can't afford to train... You see..., we're poor... So, I have to work and help my family. That's the reason I came here. I have to win the tournament and give my village that money. Sure, fighting is fun, but I just don't have the time for it.", Uub explained.

"Oh, yeah. That is a problem. But we just need to get you money, right? If we can find a sponsor for you, then everything'll be fine! Wait a sec-I know just the guy! Mr. Satan has a ton of money!", Goku said.

"Really? He does?", Uub asked.

"I'm sure that he's got plenty of it, being the World's Greatest Hero and all. Oh, by the way! If anything bad ever happens to me, it'll be up to you to keep this world safe-This is gonna be awesome!", Goku grinned.

"Huh?!", Uub said in surprise.

"Hold on a sec.", Goku said as he then floated away toward the top seats, surprising Uub.

"Hey, guys.", Goku said.

"What's up, Dad?", Gohan asked.

"Sorry to spring this on you without any warning, but I'm gonna go live in Uub's village so I can train him.", Goku said.

"WHAT?!", everyone shouted.

"Wait, not again!", Chi-Chi shouted.

"Goku!", Bulma glared.

"I'm not sure how long this'll take... But I promise: I'll swing by and visit! Thanks for understanding!", Goku grinned.

"I DON'T understand! You're leaving?! For years?!", Gohan shouted in shock.

"Bye!", Goku said before going down.

"Come on...!", Gohan said exasperatedly.

"Get back here!", Chi-Chi shouted at the same time before Goku landed just in front of Goten, Trunks, and Bulla.

"Do you have to?", Goten asked.

"Seriously?", Trunks added.

"Grandpa, no!", Pan shouted sadly before dashing off for him and sobbing sadly for him as Bulla caught up in time to see Goku pick Pan up.

"What's wrong?", Goku asked.

"Grandpa, you're not really leaving, are you?", Pan asked sadly.

"Yeah.", Goku responded.

"But Pan's gonna be torn up without you.", Bulla said.

"Waaa-aaa-aah!", Pan sobbed.

"See? Like that.", Bulla added.

"You can't go yet-It's not fair...! Please...! What do I do without you?!", Pan sobbed.

"Hey, come on, don't cry, Pan! It's not like we'll never see each other again... Dry those tears, kiddo! 'Cause I'm gonna come visit you!", Goku assured.

"You promise...?", Pan asked sadly.

"Yeah. It's a promise. There's no need to cry. You're a warrior, remember. So, you can't be sad while I'm gone.", Goku said before Pan dried away her tears with her arms and smiling to him.

"'Kay.", Pan said.

"All right, that's my girl.", Goku grinned as he rubbed Pan's head before turning to Goten and Trunks.

"You boys'll have to keep up your training, too. Please. Don't forget. It's like I told Uub. It's gonna be up to you kids to protect the Earth in the future.", Goku said.

Then, Goten and Trunks turned to each other and then back to Goku with grins.

"Right!", the two friends replied in unison, almost as if they're merged into Gotenks.

"I'll keep on training, too, Grandpa! I'll get stronger and stronger, so I can fight for the Earth just like the boys!", Pan grinned.

"Great. That's the spirit.", Goku said before setting Pan down on the ground and then turning to Vegeta, who was smiling now.

Play DBZ Music: "Cha-La Head-Cha-La"

"Hey, Vegeta. Sorry I'm taking off so early. I guess I kinda dragged you out to this tournament for no reason, huh? And I was really looking forward to another fight with the Prince of all Saiyans, too.", Goku said.

"Hmph. Doesn't matter. We couldn't have tested our real strength, anyway. We'd destroy this entire stadium before we got warmed up.", Vegeta responded.

"That's the truth!", Goku chuckled before raising his right hand and waving it in one motion. "See you, pal."

Then, Goku flew back to the ring near Uub.

"All right. Let's go. Hop on my back.", Goku offered.

"Uh..., okay.", Uub said before hopping onto Goku's back. "Is this good?"

"Yeah, that'll work. You live in those Southern Islands, am I right?", Goku asked.

"Yes, sir!", Uub nodded.

"Hold on tight. We're gonna be moving pretty fast.", Goku said.

"Okay!", Uub nodded.

"Yeah! Let's go!", Goku said before taking off with Uub like a rocket.

"Woohoo!"

"Wait! You can't leave! You're still fighting! What about the tournament, Goku?!", the announcer shouted.

"Well, that didn't take long.", Goten said.

"Yeah... Your dad's nuts.", Trunks responded.

"Bye, Grandpa!", Pan waved.

"Come and visit soon!", Bulla added as she waved, too.

"I can't believe this!", Gohan said in surprise.

"He's training that kid?! Does he even know him?", Yamcha asked.

Meanwhile, Chi-Chi gave a sad groan.

"He did it again...!", Chi-Chi said sadly.

"What's he thinking running off like that?! Honestly! Ugh! Goku just does whatever he wants! He ALWAYS has!", Bulma snarked angrily.

"You know how Goku is... I haven't seen him this happy in a while.", Piccolo grinned.

"I think you're right.", Dende agreed.

Meanwhile, Buu was quite puzzled.

"Hm. They leave? Buu no understand.", Buu said.

"Yeah... Join the club, pal.", Hercule agreed.

Meanwhile, Vegeta chuckled to himself.

"You don't fool me, Kakarot. It's clear what your motives are.", Vegeta smirked as he stood up straight and looked to the sky.

"You say you're training this reborn Buu child because you want to keep the Earth safe, but we both know that's not your only reason.", Vegeta smirked.

Meanwhile, Uub and Goku were flying above the ocean waters with the former chuckling in awe.

"Let's make a deal, Uub.", Goku said, puzzling him.

"Uh, okay...!", Uub said, puzzledly.

"Once I'm finished training you and you've reached your full potential, promise me we can have an all-out match and you won't hold anything back, okay?", Goku asked.

"Yeah, sure.", Uub agreed.

"In all honesty, that's the main reason I wanted to train you in the first place. It's really exciting...! Right, Uub? Meeting somebody who can give you a good fight?!", Goku asked excitedly.

"Yes, sir!", Uub responded.

"That's the spirit!", Goku grinned before giving off a burst of his white aura and then zooming off and flashing off like a star.

Meanwhile, the tournament continued with Pan and Bulla then fighting each other at some point as Gohan and the others watched while Buu was eating some noodles and Hercule was help cleaning up while Chi-Chi held her hand over her worried head as Videl fanned her and Master Roshi was looking at some hot women as per usual and Vegeta continued looking up to the sky with a smug grin before then showing Goku and Uub flying in the air.

Narrator: "Time and time again, Goku has pushed himself to the known limits of power and beyond, protecting the Earth and the universe! Now, he sets off again on one search that will never end: the Pursuit of Ultimate Strength! Farewell, Goku! We'll be looking to the skies, waiting for your return!"

"Hey everyone, for as long as I can remember, when I was a kid, I never found anime as interesting and as entertaining as I do now, that all changed when I first watched Dragon Ball Z, it was the moment Goku and Frieza started fighting on Namek and I thought it was the greatest thing I could ever watch, I could never see myself being interested in any other anime were it not for the creativity, action, suspense, laughter, and feel of Dragon Ball, and I only have one man to thank for this addition to my life, I will never forget what he has done and I will continue watching, playing, and enjoying Dragon Ball and its ever expanding universe till the end of time and my days on this earth, Thank You so much Akira Toriyama-sensei and Rest In Eternal Peace."

"Hello, all. To be honest, I wasn't all that interested in seeing Dragon Ball Z, at first. But the day Dragon Ball Z Kai first came out on Nicktoons 14 years ago in May, that all changed. At first, I started a bit small, watching some episodes here and there. But before I knew it, I became a devoted Dragon Ball fan over time, whether it's anime, video games, or even manga. I even started watching the original Dragon Ball and have already finished its first season! If it weren't for the Greatest creator of all time, Akira Toriyama, I probably wouldn't have become the person I am today. It saddens me greatly to learn that he has passed away this year... In fact, to tell the truth, I felt like Broly when he found out from Frieza that his father was killed...! May you enjoy your time in Heaven with our Heavenly Father, Toriyama...! And may you not only Rest In Peace, but also Rest! In! Power! To the greatest Dragon Ball GOAT who ever lived! To Akira Toriyama!"
