Chapter 2: An Act of Kindness Gone Wrong?!; The Secret of the Ultimate Dragon Balls
Act I
First it showed the lookout as it zoomed closer to reveal what's going on.
Narrator: "5 years have passed since Goku has decided to take Uub under his wing. And now, those 5 years of training have culminated to a climactic battle that will test the very limits of his training."
Inside the lookout, Goku, in his Ultra Instinct form, and Uub blasted beams with each other only for that beam clash to end with both blasts exploding before Goku and Uub clashed with each other up until Goku knocked Uub back with a punch and then sent a blast down his way, prompting Uub to dodge as the blast missed him before another struck, causing the ground below Dende and Mr. Popo in the meantime to quake and crack apart.

Mr. Popo
"Dende...!", Mr. Popo panicked.
"I know we made this room for Goku and Uub, but this is getting too much to handle after all!", Dende admitted.
Meanwhile, Shou and Pilaf lurched their plunger-like rods at to the edge before climbing up.
"There's something going on up there, sire.", Shou said.
"I don't care! Just keep climbing!", Pilaf urged before an explosion occurred, the shockwave knocking him and Shou back down. They would've continued falling down if it weren't for the rods at the edge.
Meanwhile, Uub was blasting at Goku, who dodged the blasts, neither one knowing that Pilaf and Shou were trying to get up to the lookout.
"Come on! Don't stop until were' at the edge!", Pilaf urged before the machine finally reached the edge and is now trying to get past it.
"Easy now...! Just a little bit more...!", Pilaf grunted.
Meanwhile, Goku was charging a Transcendent Kamehameha while Uub was charging a sort of new lightning-based technique before both fighters clashed attacks with each other. Uub seemed to be getting the edge at first, at least to a point that both attacks are equal to one another. Suddenly, because they were at a perfect equilibrium, the blasts both exploded.
"I told you this is too dangerous to handle, Dende!", Mr. Popo shouted.
"There's nothing we could've done, right?!", Dende responded.
Eventually, the ground exploded from below, forcing the two to run for cover as the explosion fully erupted.
"Finally, we're here...! Now, Shou, follow me!", Pilaf urged.
"Yes, sir!", Shou responded before the explosion from below knocked him and Pilaf back right inside a different room.

"Sire, are you all right?", Shou asked.
"Oh, please... This is nothing...", Pilaf groaned before the lid opened and he popped out of it, falling to the ground before standing back up.

"After this many years of research, effort, persistence, blood, sweat and tears, not to mention a little bit of luck, I have finally discovered the Ultimate Dragon Balls that reside high up in the lookout!", Pilaf shouted.
"How did you know where to find this place, anyway? It can't just be research.", Shou asked.
"Well, not exactly. While it IS true that the research did help, I found out that a mysterious set of Ultimate Dragon Balls are said to be hidden somewhere the lookout. So...", Pilaf said before going to a flash back with him speaking to Bulma.
"What? You seriously wanna know where to find the lookout?", Bulma asked.
"So this green guy, Dende, was it? Yeah, since he's said to reside there, I wanna find that guy so I can ask him for advice.", Pilaf replied before going up to Bulma.
"I'm trying to come up with a perfect anniversary gift for Trunks and Mai.", Pilaf whispered.
"Oh, is that all? Well, I don't know the exact spot, but I do know that it's somewhere high above the clouds. Literally. But if somehow, you do find it, you'd better be careful. Goku and Uub are probably training there right now. You know how he gets whenever he trains...", Bulma replied.
Then, it went back to the present.
"To tell you the truth, I thought she was pulling my leg for a bit, but now I see she really wasn't kidding. The point is, Shou, until I have all the Ultimate Dragon Balls in my hands and use them for the sake of Trunks and Mai's anniversary...!", Pilaf began as he went back inside his machine with the lid closing before getting back up.
"I won't give up! These dragon balls have to be nearby somewhere!", Pilaf finished.
Suddenly, the ground quaked and exploded into pieces, knocking the Pilaf Duo back. Soon, the lookout was now in ruins, cracked up everywhere. After a moment, Goku and Uub stepped out, the former now back in normal form with both fighters all in tatters.
"We're finished, Dende!", Goku grinned.
"Wow. So, does that mean Uub graduated?", Dende asked.
"Nah, it wasn't really a graduation ceremony. We were just making good on our deal for an all-out fight against one another.", Goku explained.
"Was the fight astounding, Uub?", Mr. Popo asked.
"Yeah...", Uub replied before suddenly groaning and collapsing.
"Uub, are you okay?", Goku asked in worry before Mr. Popo caught him only for Goku to tense up and collapse as well, but while falling backwards.
"Popo, tend to them, quick!", Dende urged.
"Right...!", Mr. Popo responded.
Meanwhile, Pilaf and Shou marveled at quite a set on a mausoleum, the former laughing.
"I've found them! At long last, I've found them!", Pilaf spoke giddily before picking one up.
"Sire, are these actually Dragon Balls?", Shou asked.
"Of course, they are! See?", Pilaf asked, dusting the dragon ball he picked up and showing it to Shou.
"Yeah, but Black Stars? The ones we saw before had red stars, if I remember right.", Shou said.
"It's not just their appearance that's different about this set.", Pilaf responded, puzzling Shou.
"Apparently, these Ultimate Dragon Balls were supposedly made long ago before Kami separated from Demon King Piccolo.", Pilaf explained before then taking a deep breath and then blowing all the dust off said Dragon Balls, making Shou cough a bit from the dust.
"Awesome..., aren't they?", Pilaf asked.
After a moment, Shou only grew puzzled for a moment.
"Well, aren't they?!", Pilaf asked.
"Uh... which part?", Shou puzzled.
Pilaf was shocked by that query.
"You idiot!", Pilaf shouted before inadvertently slipping and falling, forcing him to grab the cloth, making the 7 Ultimate Dragon Balls fall off from the mausoleum with one of them landing on his face with a crash.
"Oh, sire! Are you okay?!", Pilaf asked.
"Anyway..., these Dragon Balls were made before Kami and Piccolo ever split apart! Back when he was at full power and brimming with energy, at that, too!", Pilaf explained as Shou picked the dragon ball up.
"Oh. I get it. Since these are Ultimate Dragon Balls, they're obviously even stronger than the original ones, right?", Shou asked.
"Give me that!", Pilaf responded, getting the one-star ball back.
"Finally, you get it! Now, hurry up and gather the other Dragon Balls immediately!", Pilaf urged.
Then, Shou noticed the other dragon balls resting on top of the skeletons, spooking him for a bit.
"Yes, sir, Pilaf! Right away!", Shou responded in slight panic.
Meanwhile, Goku spoke to Uub.
"Aw, really? You're going home already?", Goku asked.
"Yeah. I mean, I'm sure my family's worried sick about me. My only regret is that I had to leave the lookout looking like this.", Uub responded.
"Don't worry about it, Uub. It's been a lot worse. Mr. Popo can fix the place right up. Really. Besides, I'm not so sure the Earth can even handle you two fighting at your full power.", Dende assured.
Then, Uub stepped up toward Goku.
"Goku, thank you so much for staying in my village and training with me for these past 5 years.", Uub thanked as he held out his hand before Goku took it gently.
"That's no problem, dude. I helped you out with your training because I wanted to. So, don't worry about it.", Goku responded.
"Okay!", Uub grinned.
"Well, take care, Uub.", Goku grinned.
"You, too, Goku! And thanks for everything, you guys!", Uub responded as he then ran off and then flew down.
Meanwhile, Pilaf used his machine to gently lower the 7 Ultimate Dragon Balls together before getting off and walking toward the set.
"Now, all I need to do is call forth Shenron.", Pilaf responded.
Then, Shou started tearing up in joy.
"Just imagine...! The sweet and happy faces of Trunks and Mai... on their anniversary...!", Shou began only to sob out of joy.
Even Pilaf was starting to tear up, too. Nevertheless, Pilaf knew that there was no time for delay.
"All right, let's do this!", Pilaf said.
Meanwhile, Goku has already finished his meal.
"Whew! Boy, am I full! Well, guess I should get back home, too.", Goku said.
"Wow. Already?", Dende asked.
As for Pilaf, he was about to summon Shenron.
"Here goes!", Pilaf shouted eagerly, gazing upon the 7 Ultimate Dragon Balls.
"Rise! Eternal Shenron! By your name, I summon you!", Pilaf shouted, causing the 7 Dragon Balls to glow brightly, making Pilaf giddy as he beamed.
"I haven't been home in a few years and I'm betting my wife won't be too happy with me.", Goku explained.
Just then, he noticed something strange going on in a different part of the lookout.
At this moment, smoke emanated from the Ultimate Dragon Balls with that smoke turning into a bolt of energy as Pilaf watched in awe. Then, that bolt of energy turned into a dragon, shocking Pilaf and Shou. But this dragon was different from the normal Shenron. If anything, his scales are red, his horns are golden and pointy, and his eyes are glowing a bright, iridescent shade of blue. And it wasn't just the gang who noticed, it was also Uub, for one example.
"Huh...?! What the heck is that?!", Uub reacted in surprise on his way back.
Meanwhile, Trunks and Mai were out in the city when they saw the dark sky as well as Shenron.
"Huh...? Is that... Shenron?!", Mai puzzled.
"I think so... But he looks different.", Trunks commented.
As for Piccolo, he and Pan were training together as usual, but then they stopped when they noticed how dark the sky was.
"Huh? Did the sky just get dark?", Pan asked.
"Yeah..., it did. And I'm afraid I know why.", Piccolo said.
"What is it?", Pan asked.
"It's Shenron. Someone must've summoned him.", Piccolo responded, looking up to see Ultimate Shenron in the sky.
"You're kidding...! But why?", Pan puzzled.
"I don't know...", Piccolo responded.
Frankly, it caught Goku and Vegeta's respective families' attentions as they, too were surprised and shocked, but none more so than everyone else who looked up to see the dark sky.
"What the heck...?!", one citizen asked in shock.
It even caught the attention of Goku's old friends.
"That's Shenron, right? But why does he look different?", Chiaotzu asked.
"I don't know, Chiaotzu...", Tien responded.
Back at the lookout, Ultimate Shenron spoke up.
"I am the dragon Shenron. I shall grant you any wish. Now, speak!", Ultimate Shenron said.
Of course, at the moment, Shou and Pilaf were too stunned for the moment.
"Hey, what's going on in there? Who's there?", Goku asked.
Then, Pilaf and Shou turned around to see Goku walking up to them.
"Oh, it's you!", Goku said in slight surprise.
"Ah! Goku?!", Pilaf exclaimed.
"Any chance you could tell me what you guys are doing here?", Goku asked.
"Well, just taking care of a small errand.", Pilaf said before whistling.
"What kind of small errand do you mean? Could that have something to do with that strange light coming from here?", Goku asked.
Then, Pilaf groaned.
"All right. The truth is, we summoned this Shenron here because we wanted to get something for Trunks and Mai's anniversary.", Pilaf responded.
"Really?", Goku asked in a bit of surprise.
Then, he noticed the big dragon in the room in question.
"Oh, wow! Now, that you mention it, that Shenron is definitely big.", Goku said.
"I know, right? Supposedly, he's a stronger version of the Shenron we know. But even then, I'm not so sure saying something like, 'I wish for 1,000,000,000,000 Zeni' would help.", Pilaf responded.
"As you wish! It shall be done!", Ultimate Shenron spoke, puzzling Pilaf and the others.
Suddenly, a bright, golden light flashed and blue sparks began to spark everywhere, spooking Pilaf and Shou as Ultimate Shenron's blue eyes glowed a golden flash. Before anyone knew it, it started to rain down Zeni by the buck in 3 stacks right through the roof of the room, much to Dende and Popo's urgency. When they got there, they were surprised to see the 3 stacks of Zeni tumbling and falling on top of Pilaf and Shou, practically drowning them. Eventually, it stopped. And when it did, Pilaf and Shou popped up.
"Huh?! 1,000,000,000,000 Zeni?! That's not what I was gonna wish for!", Pilaf puzzled.
"Technically, you did, sir.", Shou said.
"Not on purpose!", Pilaf exclaimed.
"Your wish has been granted. Farewell!", Ultimate Shenron spoke before the dragon vanished and the dragon balls flew up into the sky and scattered with the sky going back to normal.
"Wait... Don't go, dragon... Please.", Pilaf said before groaning.
"Look on the bright side, sir. With this much money, we could try using them to get the best, expensive Anniversary gift money can buy for Trunks and Mai!", Shou grinned.
Pilaf widened his eyes in a bit of surprise.
"Oh. Of course. To be honest, though, I wasn't sure such a number even exists.", Pilaf admitted.
"Uh..., well, glad that worked out.", Goku said before chuckling as Dende and Popo looked puzzled, if not worried.
Act II
Meanwhile, King Kai was horrified to learn what has happened.
"WHAT?! You're telling me that the wish was made on THOSE Dragon Balls?!", King Kai shouted in panic.
"That's what I'm saying!", Dende responded.
"Who had the nerve to think they'd still be around?!", King Kai thought in worry.
"Kami must have hidden them away within the lookout a really long time ago because none of us ever knew they were there.", Dende responded.
"Oh..., what a nightmare...!", King Kai groaned.
"What's the matter, King Kai? Is something wrong?", Goku asked.
"Very wrong, Goku! As it stands now, the only way to keep Earth safe is to gather all 7 of those Ultimate Dragon Balls and return them all to Earth!", King Kai replied.
"Uh, okay?", Goku puzzled.
But then, Goku suddenly sensed something coming from below.
"Wait. There's someone coming. And they're not alone.", Goku said.
But a moment later, he widened his eyes in surprise.
"Whaaaaa?!", Goku exclaimed in shock before out popped Gohan, Videl, Chi-Chi, Hercule, Buu, Vegeta, Bulma, Goten, Trunks, Mai, Tien, Chiaotzu, Android 18, Android 17, Marron, Krillin, Yamcha, Uub, Piccolo, and Pan.
"Hey, guys! I didn't think I'd see all of you up here.", Goku greeted.
"Why wouldn't we, Dad?", Gohan asked.
"We all saw that different Shenron up in the sky.", Piccolo asked.
Just then, Pan shouted to Goku.
"Grandpa!", Pan shouted before jumping up and hugging Goku with a giggle.
"Oh! Hey, Pan. You're definitely growing, huh?", Goku grinned.
Then, Pan looked up with an understandably peeved look on her face.
"What took you so long to visit us, Grandpa?", Pan asked, looking annoyed, making Goku nervous with a grin as he chuckled.
"Just take it easy, Pan. I was just about to zip down here, but then I noticed that these two summoned a new Shenron here.", Goku explained, gesturing to Pilaf and Shou, who now looked nervous.
"Really?", Pan asked in slight wonder.
"Yup.", Goku responded.
But Piccolo did not seem the least bit happy. At all.
"YOU IDIOTS! DO YOU TWO HAVE ANY REMOTE IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE?!", Piccolo snapped.
This frightened Pilaf and Shou.
"Hey, Piccolo. Cut 'em some slack. They just wanted to do something nice for Trunks and Mai for their Anniversary.", Goku responded, surprising Trunks and Mai.
"Really? They did?", Mai asked.
"So, is that why these two are showered with money?", Pan asked.
"Hey, this is the next best thing we could use for the main best thing: their actual anniversary gift.", Pilaf responded.
"Even if that's the case, the ends don't justify the means. And here's why. These Dragon Balls you both used were the Ultimate Dragon Balls. If you make a wish on them, you have to find all 7 of them and return them all to Earth all within 1 year or else the Earth will be destroyed.", Piccolo said, shocking everyone.
"The entire Earth?! Destroyed?!", Goku shouted in panic.
"No way...! I heard about Dragon Balls before, but to think that they're capable of such destructive power... Is that even possible?", Uub asked.
"Unfortunately. The fact of the matter is, since they were made back when Kami and I used to be one BEFORE we separated, once a wish is made on them, they leave all the negative energy behind after scattering. That Negative Energy would begin to take over as it seeps down toward the core. When it reaches that core, it'll cause massive instability and eventual destruction akin to how Frieza once destroyed Namek. And because of that, the entire Earth is doomed!", Piccolo explained.
"What?! So, you're saying that if all the Dragon Balls aren't brought back together within one year from today...?!", Gohan began in shock.
"Not a trace of Earth would remain.", Piccolo finished.
As troubling and worrisome as the grave situation is, Goku spoke up after a moment.
"So, we just need to gather all 7 of them, right?", Goku asked with a grin, puzzling everyone. "With Bulma's Dragon Radar, this should be a piece of cake."
"Oh, yeah. Just like how we used to find the Dragon Balls back in the day.", Krillin realized.
"It's not that simple.", Mr. Popo responded.
"What?", Goku asked as everyone else grew worried again.
"While ordinary Dragon Balls only scatter themselves across the Earth, the Ultimate Dragon Balls scatter across the entire universe through the North, South, West, and East galaxies. Searching for them will be quite difficult.", Mr. Popo responded.
"You're suggesting that those 7 Dragon Balls are scattered across the 7th Universe?!", Vegeta tensed in shock.
"What Mr. Popo said is right, Vegeta.", King Kai responded.
This had everyone worried again.
"I can't believe we're all going to blow up in one year just because we wanted to do something nice for Trunks and Mai!", Shou shouted in worry.
But then it was Bulma's turn to speak up.
"So, we just need to find those 7 Dragon Balls across the entire universe, right?", Bulma grinned.
"You're saying that as if this poses no problem.", Mr. Popo said.
"Not since I happen to be building something back home, it doesn't.", Bulma said.
"Wait. You mean you actually made something that can fix that problem within 1 year?", Vegeta asked.
"Yep. But we all have to meet back at my place to get started.", Bulma said.
"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's get going!", Goku shouted before jumping off and flying down.
"Hey, Dad! Wait up!", Gohan shouted.
"Wait for us, Grandpa!", Pan added.
Then, everyone else soon followed after Goku the way they came to the lookout earlier. Well, almost everyone.
"Tch. Raring to go as always, aren't you, Goku?", Piccolo smirked before then flying off after Goku down to Earth while Dende and Mr. Popo gave worried looks.
"Good luck, guys.", Dende said.
King Kai, in Heaven, sighed a bit.
"What a happy-go-lucky guy he is... Hm.", King Kai said.
Meanwhile, Goku was leading the way back to Bulma's house before it then zoomed away to show him and the others on an apparent monitor surveyed by two demons, one of which was purple with glasses, a white ponytail, and red eyes and another looking similar, only with light blue skin and a similar ponytail, but longer.
Narrator: "And with that, a brand-new, earthshaking adventure in the legend of Goku, the likes of which no one has ever seen or heard before, is about to begin!"

"Well, Fu? Sounds like things could get really fun now!", the demoness smirked.
"Well, you're not wrong about that, Ture. More than that, I think it's time we get started on preparations. For the most interesting experiment in the Universe, that is!", Fu grinned excitedly, holding up the 4-star Ultimate Dragon Ball, which gave a bright glimmer.
Narrator: "The adventure begins, next time on 'Dragon Ball GT'!"
A/N: So, what'd you think so far? About Fu and his sister's introduction in this story, as well as this overall chapter, that is. In this story, while Ricco Fajardo voices Fu, Colleen Clinkenbeard would voice Ture. Definitely a different note for how it'd start off, huh?
