(A playful duel against Avatar Korra ends with Kuvira's first major defeat and she can't rest until she makes peace with it. )

A Worthy Opponent

"Go easy on her Kuvira!" Wei shouted. His twin was beside him equally as enthralled by the duel about to take place. Wing clapped his hands and smiled, "It's her first time!" He added.

Kuvira smirked, humored that her adopted brother's believed in her capabilities so much that they encouraged her to pull back.

"She's the Avatar!" She shouted in response. Kuvira sunk down into a low horse stance and lifted her palms, front facing. "She can take it…"

Her eyes were playful and excited to be given the opportunity to add the Avatar to the list of her defeated companions. All of the Beifong's who could bend earth including their mother Su was already scribed on that roster. Although their matriarch was determined for a rematch at some point. Her fellow guards and Zaofu militia had all tried to dethrone her and failed. As of right now, the Captain of the guard was undefeated.

Kuvira laid her head back against her pillows and sighed as the memory of today's events played in her mind. Every time she attempted to fall asleep, she was instantly transported back to the training grounds where she happily tumbled around in the dirt with the Avatar.

Korra mirrored her stance with that adorable and teasing crooked smile, excited for a challenge at the end of another day of bending practice. "Don't hold back!"

Kuvira readied herself, "I don't plan on it.."

The only advantage she really had over the Avatar was her metal bending mastery. Even so, as a beginner level, Korra was able to put up a great fight.

Kuvira closed her eyes as she finally surrendered to the sensation blooming under these thoughts; the heat increasing the temperature beneath her clothes. She flipped over on her back and slowly drew her knees apart until her legs were wide under her blanket.

Korra's smile… her lighthearted laugh…her flexed arms, so perfectly molded and toned…

Kuvira groaned as she pressed two fingers against herself and slowly circled the pads of her digits over her underwear. There was no use in resisting this anymore. Her restlessness could only be tamed by her complete surrender. The acceptance of a loss in status against a more than worthy opponent.

Wing whooped with glee as Korra managed to break Kuvira's stance and simultaneously deflect a medium-sized bolder the Captain had launched at her. The ground underneath her feet seemed to shift unexpectedly and she lost her balance. The second of recognition she took to correct herself, Korra had broken the bolder down into three smaller sections and hurled them back at her in that same moment. Unable to dodge all three projectiles, one of them collided into her gut, sending her down on her knees.

Kuvira smiled crookedly as she was overwhelmed by the shock and awe of the blow. Wing and Wei continued to celebrate, and she realized this was the twin's chance to vicariously live out their revenge for the amount of times she had kicked their ass on a regular basis.

She looked up at the Avatar to see the girl lightly bouncing on her feet like they were in a pro-bending match. She smiled cheekily at the Captain and winked her pretty blue eye.

Kuvira moaned, biting back the sound between her teeth.

Korra was so arrogant… and so confident…

She had never been so literally swept off her feet like that before. If she didn't know any better, she'd swear Korra had airbended a current under her shoes. Even as she recalled the encounter, she couldn't decipher what had her so distracted. So equally outmatched… The adrenaline of it all was such an amazing high.

Kuvira's hips circled with the movement of her hand. Her fingers pressed harder in long vertical strides as the memories danced in her head.

Counting Korra's steps, Kuvira quickly bended a small hill out of the ground and watched as Korra's heel came down on it. The Avatar tripped and Kuvira continued her pursuit and shot out one of the metal cords from her uniform. Korra gasped as the cable wrapped around her ankle and pulled her off her feet as Kuvira tightened the tension. Korra landed on her back and absently tossed whatever she had at her disposal. A misshapen ball of metal flung toward the Captain and stopped as Kuvira easily caught it, breaking the momentum as if it was completely painless.

"mmhm," She sighed. Kuvira pulled her undergarment to the side, finding it an annoying barrier between what she truly wanted. She swiped her clit, massaging the bead with three fingers laying flat atop her mound. The heat of her hand against her bare skin melted the tension in her thighs, relaxing her further against the fast stroke of her fingers.

For some reason, she felt a bit pitiful doing this. Like the proper response to ending her winning streak was supposed to be rage or spite. Everyone saw her as such a strong willed and capable woman. They'd be absolutely floored to learn just how much this loss effected her, and in such an unconventional way.

She could tell Korra was struggling not to use the other elements. The pool of water on their left kept stealing her attention. Kuvira began to return the metal cable to her belt, effectually dragging the Avatar towards her. Korra grunted and bended two isosceles shaped rocks into her path. They collided in the center, snapping the cord like scissors. Korra braced herself against the impact and quickly unwrapped the excess from her ankle, but it was too late before Kuvira molded the metal ball into a rod-like shape and sent it piercing through the rocky barrier.

"Aaha-" The captain cried, trying not to be too loud although her voice was lost in the echo of the high ceiling and metal walls.

She could vividly remember the sweat dripping off Korra's brow…her heavy, breathless panting..

Kuvira was making her work for that win just as much as she fought for the victory.

Their battle only lasted several minutes but the time ticked on much slower in her mind. Korra was so quick and agile, clearly the student of multiple bending practices and cultural diversities. She kept her engaged and on guard the entire time, ready for anything. Even though this duel was for fun, she was actively learning from Kuvira's technique at the same time. Which ultimately lead her to the win.

Kuvira pushed her middle and ring fingers inside herself and arched her back to deepen the penetration. Her heart beat almost just as fast as it did this afternoon. Korra's influence the soul perpetrator.

"...fuck..." She moaned. Kuvira curved her fingers and rubbed a tender spot that made her toes curl. She wiggled her digits, feeling the slick texture of her walls. Her opposite hand wiped the hair out of her face, noticing how it stuck to her brow from a thin line of sweat.

Why was this so different than before? Because she lost? There had been plenty of times where the adrenaline of a fight lead to the need to relive herself afterwards. In her teens and early adulthood she had lost plenty of fights as she learned to master her skill. Why was now such an overwhelming experience?

"Is that all you got Captain!" Korra gloated, receiving encouraging taunts from the twins. Even as she stood shakily to her feet with a thin coat of dust on her clothes and hair undone from her loops she refused to yield.

The Avatar lifted her fists in front of her face and smiled...ready for their final round...

Kuvira was enraptured by her.

"mm!" Kuvira panted and moaned as she fucked herself harder. Her hips rocked against her hand as she imagined what it would be like to fight with the Avatar again. To feel her body pressed against her in a heated exchange of pleasure and dominance.

Korra's shirt was torn in several places from the slice of Kuvira's metal cuffs and the little openings that revealed her brown skin drove the captain crazy. She wanted to rip the tattered garment from her torso and embrace her. She wanted to caress her dirtied hands down the Avatar's body and remove her pelt and pants. In those last fleeting moments, Wing and Wei had faded into the background; her mission to win this fight became obsolete.

Kuvira moaned louder than before as her climax quickly climbed to its peak. She sat up and leaned back on her free hand, uncaring to push her comforter away and expose herself to the open air. She could only imagine she looked just as desperate as she felt, riding the length of her fingers with every ounce of stamina she had left to give. The only thing that would make this night any better is if Korra could some how hear her cries, sense her lust and frustration and intuitively answer her call.

"ooh..mhm..yess.." Her eyebrows wrinkled as she pouted from just the thought of that possibly.

Kuvira sat back on her heels, completely out of breath. She swept her hair off her shoulder, only now realizing her long braid had come undone during their duel. Wing and Wei were cheering off in the distance, screaming Korra's praises. The training grounds looked like a seismic earthquake had wrecked the vicinity, a testimony to how close the odds swayed in either of their favor.

Kuvira could see Korra's boots in her peripheral vision as the Avatar approached. She looked up at her victor, expecting another sarcastic quip. After the battle they just endured, Korra deserved to gloat. She was an auspicious champion.

The Avatar sighed, clearly just as exhausted, "What a fight!" She rejoiced. She extended her palm to the captain and helped her stand to her feet. Kuvira was grateful for the sleeves on her shirt, otherwise the goosebumps up her arms would give away her nervousness in grabbing Korra's hand.

"You're incredible!" the Avatar exclaimed, her bright blue eyes looking at Kuvira in awe.

"Ahh!" Kuvira exclaimed as her orgasm tore through her nerves in blissful waves. She hardly recognized the pitch and feathery tone of her voice as she moaned every syllable of her cries. She dared not breath the Avatar's name as it danced just on the tip of her tongue. Her face was flustered and hot, equally transfixed and embarrassed. Her lashes fluttered as her muscles quaked into submission.

Korra's gaze played behind her eyes, leaving a lingering impression that would be forever burned in her mind. The secret ingredient to her late-night desires.

The captain fell back on her mattress, letting the lasting sensations pass over her until she was still in contemplation. Her green eyes lazily looked around her room that was partially casted in darkness, shadowing her sinful deed.

She was never the type to aim for second best, but in this case...she wouldn't mind being Korra's runner-up.
