In the middle of space, a small pod was rocketing through, not a Saiyan pod though, seeing how it had multiple seats onboard. It only carried one passenger, a young 16 year old boy who was badly injured. Though soon enough, the pod would come to a blue world known by the computer as Planet #4032-G877, also known as Earth.

At the point of entry into Earth, the pod started to burn up in the atmosphere as parts started to break up from it. One of the rockets came loose as the ship veered off course and was about to crash into a jungle. Warning sirens went off as the pod's door had a malfunction and opened itself. Because of this, the person was sucked out of the pod and started falling towards the ground.

The pod would crash into the jungle with the passenger falling not too far behind it. However, his right arm started to glow as a blue aura came out and formed a shield around him that started to slowly descend him towards the ground. This person appeared with brown slightly long hair, he wore a black crop jacket with green sleeves, a white undershirt, gray pants with a belt, and brown boots. The main things to take notice of his appearance was a pair of purple lens goggles on his head, a gold earring on his left ear, and the glowing markings on his right arm.

The strange visitor landed on the ground as the shield disappeared and the glow faded back into his black markings. He opened his purple eyes, trying to get up and look around his surroundings, but his injury was still a major pain to him. He didn't have much energy left in him and it didn't help when the first lifeform he found was a dinosaur.

The dinosaur attacked as the person quickly went for a kick to its chin, causing it to run off in fear. "Heh, nice try, I'm not going down… that… easily." Unfortunately for him, that kick was most of his energy he had left as he fell to the ground. Before he passed out, he saw someone walk over to him as they raised out a hand.

The person would soon wake up, finding himself in a room with his wounds cared for. He looked around the room, trying to figure out where he was. He saw that his stuff was put by his side: his clothing (mainly shirt), his goggles, and even his bag with his journal on top of it. One of the things he noticed about the room was some photos on the wall, three in total.

The photos mainly consisted of a woman. One of them was a picture of her with two young men wearing glasses. Another picture showed the woman training with an older master. And the last picture showed the master in question.

"If you're wondering who that is? That's my master Mutaito." He turned to a woman who entered the room. "He was a great and wise mentor in my life who saved this world many times over." he noticed this was the same woman in the pictures. She had brown short hair and silver blue eyes, wearing green martial arts Gi with magenta sleeves, white pants with a magenta sash, and black shoes. "Hopefully you still have the energy to eat." she said, pulling out a green bean from a bag she was holding. "Here, eat this." the person was hesitant, "Don't worry, it's not going to kill you."

The person took the bean and ate it. Suddenly, in an instant, he found himself sitting up in bed, his energy completely restored.

"Good to see you're back in top condition. Why don't you take a walk with me? I'm sure you're confused about where you are." Garmen said as she helped up on his feet. "Do you mind if I get your name?"

"It's Pierce… Pierce Alba."

Pierce got fully dressed as they walked outside. He found himself in a temple, which had a marvelous garden of nature and young children training in martial arts.

"It's beautiful." Pierce as they continued walking.

"Yes it is. The estate we're on is my martial arts temple, I'm the master here. After my master died hundreds of years ago, I continued on with my training. After about 50 years, I learned everything I could about martial arts. I moved to this region, where I built this temple in a way to teach those who are willing to learn how to defend themselves." Garmen said.

"Wait, you said your master died hundreds of years ago and it took you 50 years to master this martial arts stuff. How old are you?" Pierce asked.

"Well, how old would you say I am?" Garmen said as Pierce looked at her closely, but it appears he was sensing her aura.

"Would say… you're in your 50s, but your aura tells me you've lived for much longer." Pierce answered.

"Aura? We call it Ki here on Earth. But you aren't wrong, I have lived upon this Earth for over 300 years give or take. I have seen people come and go, but I keep a level head about myself. I won't go too far into the details, but just know an important item is responsible for my stunt in aging." Garmen said.

As Pierce and Garmen continued to walk around, Pierce noticed most of the students were young children. This caught Pierce's curiosity, "You don't have any adult students here?"

"No, not that much, I learned a long time ago that I was too trusting of my students. They ended up using my teachings for destruction, which hurt me a little on the inside." Garmen said.

"It must be difficult to come here, this place seems a little remote." Pierce said.

"Well, they live here actually. Most of the students here are orphans, because they had no homes or family, so I welcomed them. So, this place works as both a martial arts temple and a home for orphans. It's honestly harder for me to say goodbye when they leave." Garmen said as they kept walking until they saw someone else training. "And that's my star student so far. As you can see… she's made a lot of progress."

A little girl was balancing herself on one hand, keeping her focus to stay balanced and not let things distract her. Though Pierce noticed one important thing about her, two objects right next to her that appeared to be prosthetic legs. "What… happened to her?"

"I rescued her. Her village was attacked by some mercenaries who were there to raid the village of its resources. A grenade was thrown at her home, killing her parents and nearly killing her, taking both of her legs. It's unfortunate… but that's the way life works sometimes. She might be crippled but she shows true strength in other ways."

Pierce looked back on this, because when he was younger, he was shown that he became strong by knowing the struggle of life. On that garbage world he called home, he lived for himself, trained for himself, and fought for himself. He had to be tough for the universe was tough.

"Well, how about we eat then?" Garmen said.

Pierce ate dinner with the rest of the orphans there as days would pass for him. He would help with the garden and other stuff around the temple. Mainly because there was nothing better to do. He didn't have a reason to try finding and repairing his ship, he had nowhere to go out in space that he could call home anymore.

Pierce had a battle power of 5,000, but on this day, Pierce would learn something important about his power. Pierce watched Garmen train the students and it had him curious about her level of power. He asked the others about her true power and they say she's amazingly strong, that there hasn't been a battle she hasn't won. This drove Pierce's curiosity even more, because he could sense her power level was well over a thousand, but that was all. Sure he would admit that's impressive for a human, but is it enough?

After a while, Pierce decided to ask Garmen a question about her power. She was standing in the pathway, sweeping away some dust and leaves. "Miss Garmen, I'd like to ask you something." Pierce asked.

"Of course, but please, just call me Garmen."

"I wish to spar with you. I don't know why, but there's just something about your presence that's… different from others I sense. I wish to see your power for myself" Pierce said, out of curiosity.

"Hmm, alright then. I'll agree to this." Garmen said, putting the broom away. "Let's see what you're made of, I won't lie by saying I was curious about your power as well." she said, keeping a smile.

They went out to the courtyard as the orphans gathered around to watch the spar unfold. "Don't hold back on me, alright? But also, I rather you not destroy my temple, so be cautious." Garmen said.

"Sure no problem." Pierce said as he thought through his strategy. He decided to just fire a Ki blast to see what her power is really like. With a swift movement of her hand, she deflected the Ki blast, surprising Pierce.

"C'mon, I said don't hold back." Garmen said, holding her hand in a ready stance. Pierce fired a barrage of Ki blasts at Garmen who moved her hand and feet around, seeming to catch each Ki blast in midair. Each Ki blast stood still in the air. "Right back at ya." Garmen said, pushing her hand up as the blasts went back towards Pierce. He quickly blocked them, leaving his hands a little singed. "Alright, are you ready for more?" she said in her ready position again.

Pierce knew he had to take this fight seriously, so he rushed in, with his power flurried out. Garmen blocked and countered each of Pierce's attacks as she would strike crucial parts of Pierce's body, but he didn't know at the time. Garmen soon placed her palm to Pierce's chest, pushing him back.

Pierce landed back on his feet and fired another Ki blast, but it seemed weaker than what he wanted to be. Pierce's curiosity grew.

"You shouldn't worry so much. Just focus on defeating me." Garmen said.

Pierce had to know how far her power went, so he decided to use an ability he hasn't used in a while. Garmen noticed Pierce's markings start to glow, his aura started to flurry out, covering his entire body. It looks similar to the Kaioken, but has a blue aura. Garmen could feel Pierce's power rising fast, doubling over his already vast power.

Pierce rushed at Garmen catching her off guard a bit with his improved speed. She managed to block the strike and tried to hit a pressure point, but it seemed like his dense aura protected him like a force shield. Garmen backed up to get some distance. She could see now that this ability didn't just double his power, it also doubled his speed and defense. This would be a bit of a challenge to her as she let out her other hand in her fighting stance.

"I need to finish this quickly." Pierce said as he flew up into the air and charged up an energy wave in his hands. This scared Garmen a little as it looked similar to another attack she's seen before. Though she started to calm down as the energy to it felt different. "Azzure Light Wave!" Pierce said, firing down a concentrated energy beam at Garmen.

Garmen smirked at this challenge as she grabbed the powerful wave and tried to hold her stance. It pushed her back a little, but that was all that happened. She started pushing back the beam and kicking it back into the air, just passing Pierce.

"Well, that was interesting, allow me to show you something an old friend of mine taught me." Garmen said, cupping her hand together. "Ka… me… ha… me. Haa!" Garmen fired a powerful wave up at Pierce. He prepared to block it, but Garmen moved her hands a bit, bending the wave around Pierce and hitting him in the back.

The blast surprised Pierce as he was propelled back to the ground. Garmen jumped up at him and hit Pierce with powerful hits and great speed. Pierce was knocked back, but he could still fight. Though as he raised his hand to fire an energy blast, he found that he couldn't produce Ki. She somehow took away his power.

"Well now, it looks like I win." Garmen said with a smile on her face. Though Pierce had an expression of terror on the kind of power she had.

Later that evening, Garmen was standing in the open field as Pierce came up behind her. "Hello Pierce, do you wish for another rematch?"

"No, I want to know your secret. You obtained great strength that beats me in battle, and I know my power far surpasses yours. So how? Where did you gain such incredible power from?" Pierce questioned.

"Hmm, I see. Well, it is true I bested and defeated you, but I didn't overpower you." Garmen said. "Back during my training, my two friends had different ways to master the ways of martial arts. One focused on training in the fundamentals and in daily life. The other focused on training through sheer, raw intensity. As for me, I was focused on technique and control."

"Technique and control?" Pierce asked.

"Yes, my friends focused on external strength when it came to martial arts, while I focused on internal strength." Garmen said. "You see, the current mindset from a warrior like yourself is believed that a person who can hit the hardest and fastest is the true victor in a battle. Well, you're partially right, but many warriors that study martial arts forget that power isn't the only way of winning a battle. External energy relies on expelling all that power out to increase your strength, speed, and reflexes. While Internal energy is where I mold and channel the flow of ki throughout my body."

Pierce was in complete surprise of everything she was talking about. "You didn't expel your energy, you harnessed it."

"That's right. Take our battle earlier as an example, I didn't deflect your energy blasts, I took full control of them and manipulated where they would go, the same goes for my Kamehameha. I didn't use strength to beat you in battle, I used technique and control of my Ki to win the battle." Garmen said.

"Then… how do you explain my energy being gone?" Pierce asked.

"Well, in my many years of perfecting my style, I also learned about the human body, I learned about pressure points a person can feel that weakens them, say for example, pressure down on the neck. I learned that with this information combined with my Internal energy, I could stop one's energy all together, I could even kill someone with such power."

"But there's a catch… isn't there?" Pierce asked.

"Yes, even though my martial arts emphasizes superior technique, mobility, targeting, and redirecting energy, I am still very vulnerable. A mistimed parry, blow, or counter can lead to a very devastating end. I should know, I was once cocky myself."

"Man, that kind of sucks." Pierce said, looking a little down.

"Although, I did notice something from you. When your aura surrounded you, you exported a giant mass of power even greater than what you've already achieved. It was a small hybrid of internal and external energy. You brought out a hidden power that was inside you that boosted all of your senses at once. Aura, I think you called it?" Garmen commented.

"Yes, it's my Aura Enhance, I can double the flow of my power, strength, endurance, speed, every ability I have is multiplied. Though it only lasts for 30 seconds, I have to wait a minute until I can use it again. It works well for when I need a quick advantage against my opponent." Pierce said.

"Well, it is an interesting ability indeed, I have never done anything like it. If you'd like, I could help you perfect this ability of yours. I believe with the right training you can grow to be an even greater warrior with skills and technique." Garmen said as Pierce was surprised.

Pierce thought of this for a moment and smiled. "I would be grateful… if you accepted me as a student," Pierce said, bowing towards her.

"Alright then… your training begins tomorrow." Garmen said as a new adventure would begin.
