AN: A short one but this was inspired by a writer called Livieluvo

It's been the hardest case of your entire career, the murder and brutal assault of three teenage girls and it was finally over! The guy had been convicted due to your testimony and the fact that you had mostly worked all through the night to catch this guy. You arrived back at the squad room, blushing at all the praise and claps that you received from your friends and fellow Detectives. As you sit down, a hot chocolate appears in front of you and you glance up into those warm brown eyes and immediately you feel safe.

"Nice job Y/N..." Olivia said and you can tell that she's proud of you; the smile on her face and that look of pride makes your heart and stomach flutter. You don't know what the hell comes over you or what possessed you to say this but before you can stop yourself, it just comes out.

"Thanks Mom..." You say as if it's the most natural thing in the world. Immediately you cringe and you can hear a pin drop as everyone looks at you! Some with amusement, others with bewilderment and some with affection... God, there's no way that you can explain this away!

"Did... Did you just call me Mom Y/N?" Olivia spoke and you can't read what she's thinking by looking at her and you blush, your heart starts thudding against your chest and you rapidly shake your head.

"Nope! I called you mate! Yep, that's it! I called you mate!" You say anxiously trying to change the subject and waiting for the ground to swallow you hole. You glare as Nick and Fin start to laugh, laughing so hard that they're visibly shaking.

"Nope, you called Liv Mom! Aw, how cute!" Fin teased and you roll your eyes slightly, still trying to adamantly deny that you didn't! God, this was humiliating... never in your whole career had you called your senior officer 'Mom' or anything even close to that.

"No I didn't..." You say softly, a tomato shade of red colours your cheeks and you look at the floor. You're unsure whether to laugh or cry at the situation...

"Do you see me as a motherly figure, Y/N?" Olivia said and you can almost hear the amusement in her voice and that makes you smile; good! She's not angry with your or weirded out by the slip up.

"Nope! You're a bother figure... because you're always bothering me!" You say childishly with an impish smirk on your face, the others laugh and giggle at you as does Olivia! She comes over and messes with your hair... ignoring your squawks and indignant yelps as your now perfectly styled hair is all messy.

"Hey, you should be nice to your Mom!" Alex pipes up and you blush even more, trust her to start it up again! You see her devilish smirk as you lock eyes. Here we go again!

"I didn't call her Mom!" You say softly and scratch the back of your head, a warmth spreading through your body as Olivia wraps a protective arm around you and pulls you into her arms. You just bury your face into her chest, you feel safe and warm.

"Hey... Hey... I take it as a compliment Y/N!" Olivia says and whilst it sounds jokey, you can tell that she actually means it. You can tell by the way she strokes your hair and presses a tender kiss to the top of your head, how she rocks you slightly back and forth and rubs soothing circles on your back.

"It's not a big deal! I called Judge Donnelly 'Mom' once in open court! Do you remember?" Elliot added, everyone began to giggle as they remembered how she'd had to clear the courtroom because everyone had laughed so much and how they had to wait until the following day to continue trying the case.

"Yep, that's worse! So now everyone can forget about this!" You pipe up and blush feeling Olivia hold your head against her chest; you secretly love how safe she makes you feel.

"Ah, that's old news! However... you calling Liv 'Mommy'" Alex says with a giggle and a raised eyebrow, you were never going to live this down!

"Hey! I didn't call her Mommy..." You yelp pitifully, arguing with your friends back and forth whilst they laugh. You cross your arms, feeling a little bit victimised by them all and then you really did slip up.

"Mommy tell them!" You say loudly and that started the loud cackling up again. You can hear Olivia's giggles as she stroked your back and you feel a little bit better.

"You be nice to my baby!" Olivia says a joking tone to her voice, the others however figured out rather quickly that she was also being serious. They immediately stopped the teasing and flashed you a small smile; maybe they had taken it a bit far.

After a while, they all filed out leaving just you and Olivia behind. You anxiously play with your fingers and let out a small squeak when she tilts your chin up, her eyes filled with so much genuine love and you can't help but smile back at her.

"Sooo do you wanna talk about this over a glass of wine?" She smiles at you when you vigorously nod your head, gently wrapping an arm around you. It makes you feel so safe and secure, especially when she presses some kisses to your head whilst you walk out of the Precinct together arm in arm heading to the new bar that had just opened up across the street.

"Now then... let's get a couple bottles shall we!" Olivia joked causing you to snort slightly, yep that would do nicely! You sit there patiently whilst she orders you both two bottles of your favourite red and white wine, waiting until it arrives and you both have a full glass before she continued.

"So Mommy hey?" Olivia teased good naturedly, holding onto your hand and rubbing soothing circles across the back of it. You look up and bite your lip nervously, moving over and sitting on her lap when she beckons you over and encasing you in her warm arms.

"Hey... it's ok. You know that we weren't making fun of you back there right? We thought it was cute... well I certainly did Y/N!" She coos in your ear and you just melt into her arms, breathing in the smell of her perfume and allowing her to kiss your head.

"I know... it's just I'm mortified! It all just slipped out before I could stop myself, you make me feel so safe and loved... I've never had that before and it's just... you're the Mom that I've always needed and wanted!" You admit softly, all of this vulnerability was alien to you and Olivia could see that. When she next speaks up, you just bury into the safety of her arms and blink back tears; this is all you've wanted your whole life!

"It's ok... it's ok, my love. Mommy's here... Mommy's got you, it's ok. I love you so much, Y/N and don't you ever forget that!" She cooed, brushing her lips against your forehead as if you were her own baby. From that moment on, Olivia became your Mom and she showed you what it was like to have a loving family.
