Last Time:
'A hard worker... A hard worker is known to achieve their objectives. I'm no hard worker...
Not with how bad I'm getting...'
[Chapter Four.]
"What are you thinking about?"
Tsuna blankly looked up from her textbook, she was trying to study but can't seem to focus on anything of the words as her thoughts kept wandering off. She let her gaze settle on the worried gaze of her friends and her Tutor who was the one who spoke, but it looked like she was still lost in her thoughts.
Currently Reborn was teaching Tsuna what she was being taught at school, as she was struggling and for some reason is unable to understand her school teaching. And when her friends heard that she was struggling, they suggested helping her, which somehow turned into Reborn teaching all of the four students. Not that the other three needed tutoring, but they wanted to be there for moral support, but Tsuna kept spacing off.
Reborn raised an eyebrow as his student hasn't answered yet, "Baka-Tsuna," he called out, "Is there a problem."
Kyoko reached her hand to Tsuna's and squeezed it, "Tsuna-chan?"
Snapping out of her thoughts, Tsuna realized that everyone was staring at her, she flushed in embarrassment, "A-ah! Sorry, did you ask me something?"
Hana and Hayato frowned in worry at Tsuna, while Kyoko squeezed her friend's hand again. Reborn let out a sigh, before he spoke again, "What are you thinking about? You're clearly worried about something."
Blinking in surprise, Tsuna asked, "How did you know that?"
Hana let out a chuckle, shifting towards Tsuna and laying a hand on the shorter girl's hair, "It isn't hard to read your face, Tsuna."
"Hime-sama," Hayato spoke hesitantly, bringing the attention of the girls to him. "We're... We're friends, right? Don't friends tell each other their worries?"
Tsuna stared in surprise for a moment, before letting out a small laugh, "Yeah, you're right."
The other three teens smiled at that, before Hana prompted, "Well? What were you thinking about?"
Tsuna hesitated for a moment but then let out a sigh, "It's just... I got a bad feeling."
'A bad feeling?... Could it be the hyper intuition? But how? So far, I only shot her twice, you can't be telling me that her seal has already broken?' Reborn thought.
"A bad feeling?" Kyoko started, eyes filled with concern, "Do you know what it is about?"
No one doubted Tsunahime, all believing her.
Tsuna bit her lower lip, furrowing her eyebrows, "Yeah, Kinda..."
"Kinda?" Hana asked, glancing at the only male teen, who was frowning, seemingly lost in thought, "But you still have a hunch on what or who it is, right?"
Tsuna nodded, "Yeah. I have a feeling that something bad will happen, I'm not sure when though..."
"Hime-sama," Hayato started, face serious, "Have you had these feelings before? That something bad will happen? And if you did, did something actually happen?"
Nodding again, "Yeah, it happened before."
"What did you do when you had these feelings?" Hana asked.
"I would inform Kyouya as most of my bad feelings would be related to him. It usually turns out to be some Yakuza aiming for Kyouya, so when I inform him, he would take caution," Tsuna answered.
"And this time it's different?" Kyoko asked, getting a nod from the brunette.
"Could it be it's because the source is different this time?" Hana suggested, "You said usually your bad feelings are related to Hibari, is this one related to him or someone else?"
Before Tsuna even got to reply, Hayato said, "Could it possibly be about that baseball freak? Yamamoto Takeshi?"
Kyoko and Hana stared in surprise at the half Italian, before shifting their gaze to Tsuna, who was contemplating the thought, before her eyes widened, "Yeah! That might be the cause!"
"How the hell did you guess that?" Hana questioned, shocked.
Hayato spared her a smirk, before frowning again, "Well, Hime-sama seems to have started worrying ever since talking to the Baseball freak."
"You talked to Yamamoto-kun?" Kyoko asked her friend, "When?"
"A few days ago," Tsuna shrugged.
"Well, if it's about that monkey, we could keep an eye on him when we're at school," Hana said, patting Tsuna's shoulder reassuringly.
Tsuna smiled softly at her friends, "Ah, thanks for believing in me."
Kyoko and Hana shared a smile, before turning to Tsuna, "Of course! That's what friends are for after all."
Turning her attention to Hayato, Tsuna saw him frowning at the table, seemingly thinking, before he felt her gaze, and lifted his eyes from the table towards her, and grinned at her, "I'd believe anything you tell me, Hime-sama!"
Tsuna's eyes soften, heart fluttering at the sight of her friends, her second family, being with her. 'This feels nice...'
Reborn watched the scene unfold, not needing to interfere, 'Quite the Famiglia you are gathering...' but he allowed his gaze to wander to Hayato, as the three girls conversed with each other, the boy seemed to be going through a book, it had nothing written on the cover, but it seemed to be old. Covering his presence and sneaking behind the boy, Reborn caught a glimpse of paragraphs consisting of different languages, from Italian to English, to Japanese. He saw a few words such as 'Primo' and 'Hyper Intuition', making him narrow his eye at the silver-haired boy, 'This boy... He knows more than Vongola allows the public to know... What is this book?'
"And that's what happened," Tsuna finished, as she explained what happened previously to Kyouya.
After her friends, she called Kyouya to tell him about the conversation she had with her friends, but instead of talking on the phone, he insisted to drop by her house instead, giving the "You hung out with those herbivore companions instead of me for days, so I believe I have the right to see my mate now," that Tsuna couldn't reject.
So here they were, in Tsuna's room, with Tsuna sitting on her bed, back against the wall, while her hands were running through the raven locks of Kyouya, who laid his head on her lap, eyes closed as he was listening to his omnivore speaking.
"Yamamoto Takeshi..." Kyouya mumbled, "That herbivore... He broke his arm after school hours practicing that game of his."
Tsuna's hand froze, feeling a sense of dread, making her shiver as she felt cold sweat roll down her neck. "He... Broke his arm?"
Opening his eyes, Kyouya saw Tsuna's pale complexion, and the widening of her eyes, filled with fright. He saw this before, when a strong Yakuza group were aiming to kill him. At that time, he had underestimated them, believing him to be the victor, until he found out that those Yakuza were from the Triads, targeting due to his connection to the Strom Arcobaleno. If his omnivore was this worried, then there is a possibility that this Yamamoto Takeshi is going to die. But from what?
Sitting up, Kyouya shifted his body around so that he can envelope Tsuna into his arms. At the shift, Tsuna was snapped out of her daze, feeling the body of her cloud around her, surrounded by his minty scent. Feeling her body relax in his arms, she borrows her nose into his shoulder, as she moved her arms to hug Kyouya back.
"Nee, Kyouya," Tsuna spoke, voice slightly muffled, but the said person just hummed in response, "What do I do now?"
Kyouya's arms tightened around her, "You don't have to do anything... But knowing you, you would still do something about whatever is going to happen. So, I can't tell you what to do, but whatever it is, I'll support you."
Tsuna let out a chuckle, "You always say that..."
"But I'm right," Kyouya retorted, falling on his back on the bed, pulling Tsuna with him, making her lay on top of him.
"Yeah," Tsuna mumbled, "And whenever you say that, it somehow helps."
Kyouya grunted, lifting his hand to Tsuna's hair, entangling his fingers with the soft spikes of his sky, as his other arm stayed around the waisted of the smaller of the two.
Tsuna felt a small smile stretch on her lips, basking in the comfort being provided, she could feel herself losing conscious as she started to drift to sleep.
When Kyouya sensed Tsuna falling asleep, listening to the steady breathing of the brunette, he shifted so that he was laying on his side, letting Tsuna's head lay on his arm, while his other hand searched for his phone. Upon reaching for it, he dialed a number saved under the name 'Tetsuya'.
"Kyo-san? Is there a problem?" Came the voice of the second in command of the discipline community.
Keeping his eyes on the sleeping female, Kyouya spoke in low voice, "Keep an eye on Yamamoto Takeshi."
Not even waiting for a reply, trusting Tetsuya, Kyouya hung the call and slipped his phone into his pocket.
A gentle knock came from the door, and it was opened slowly. Kyouya glanced towards the door, seeing Nana poke her head through the opened space, as she gazes around the room, before her gaze landed on her sleeping daughter, and the boy she considers as her future son in law.
"Ara~, Tsu-chan is sleeping," She whispered, a smile growing on her face as her eyes softened at the sight, "She must be tired. Thank you for watching over her, Kyo-kun."
Shaking his head, Kyouya send a smirk towards the older Sawada, "She's my Sky and I am her Cloud, can't really stop from watching over her, can I?"
Letting out a giggle, Nana spoke, "From what Reborn-kun told me, usually cloud guardians are the hardest and take the longest to be found. So, he was quite surprised when he saw that Tsu-chan already got herself a cloud."
"Hn," the smirk not even slipping from his face, Kyouya could feel it growing more, "Well, the Omnivore is no normal Sky."
"Is that so?" Nana laughed, "Will you be staying the night?"
Nodding at Nana in confirmation, she flashed him one last smile, and she turned about to leave, before she paused and turned back towards them, taking out her phone, she snapped a couple of pictures, winking at Kyouya, placed a finger on her lips, "Don't tell Tsu-chan, okay?" Then she slipped out of the room, door closing behind her but her giggles could still be heard even behind the closed doors.
Kyouya stared blankly at where she was standing last, before just letting a sigh of defeat, dropping his gaze to Tsuna, as a small smile replaced his previous smirk.
'Tsunahime...My Sky.'
Light filtered into the room through the open curtains.
Tsuna stirred in her sleep, shifting around to avoid the rays of light hitting her face. She moved her head, burrowing it into something besides her, she sighed in relief, taking in a breath, smelling mint. She loved that smell; she loved the scent of mint. It reminded her of Kyouya, he always smelled like mint with a hint of iron whenever she hugged him. A smile grew on her face at the thought of her childhood friend.
Snuggling more into the object, taking in more of the scent, she purred a bit, getting followed by the sound of a deep chuckle.
Tsuna froze. What was that? Clinching the fabric of the object she held, she felt it shaking. Prying her eyes open, they fell on the sight of a white blouse, the fabric she was clinching. And there was a person wearing the blouse, the person who was laughing at her.
She let her sight wonder to the face of the person, letting her eyes gaze into the steel-colored eyes of her childhood friend. Kyouya was smirking at her. Kyouya laughed at her.
Kyouya was there, laying on her bed, beside her, with her. Kyouya was laying down with her in her bed. Presumably, he slept the night in her bed.
Blood started to rush to her head, making her feel slightly dizzy, "Kyo-Kyouya!
Before a blink of an eye, Tsuna pushed herself away from the raven, moving as far as she can from him, causing to fall on her behind, and bump her head into the low table in the middle of the room.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!" She let out a whimper, lifting a hand to clutch the back of her head, where she got hit, while she leaned her weight on her other arm.
Kyouya snorted in amusement at sight of Tsuna sprawled on the ground, causing the younger girl to shot him a glare, which only made him grow more amused.
"Well, aren't you all laughs and giggles lately," Tsuna grumbled under her breath, but she knew that he heard her as he shot her a smirk, "What happened to the old, cold Kyouya..."
Rolling his eyes, Kyouya sat up on the bed, catching Tsuna's wrist and pulls her towards him which ended up with her on his lap. "You can't blame me for laughing with you being clumsy."
"You're a jerk..." Tsuna mumbled, shifting herself, before burrowing her face to Kyouya neck.
"And you seem to have become a pervert," Kyouya retorted, "What's with you and smelling me?"
Tsuna flushed, refusing to move her head to not showcase her red face, which unfortunately, or fortunately, did stop Kyouya from noticing her ear turning red. "I'm not a pervert! If anyone is the pervert, it's you! How could you sleep in my bed?!"
Kyouya shrugged slowly, being careful that he won't end up hitting Tsuna by this movement, "I had no choice but to stay with you holding into me so tightly last night."
This didn't let the blush on Tsuna's face cease, "Oh..." She let out, "... I'm sorry."
"You have no reason to be," Kyouya sighed, patting Tsuna's head, "Now come on, let's have breakfast."
"Ah..." Tsuna nodded, getting up and heading towards her closet. "I think we have a change of your clothes. Do you want to get ready at our house, or will you go to yours?"
Tsuna glanced back at Kyouya, to see him gazing at her, or more like on her lower back. She flushed and glared at him. Sensing the glare, Kyouya looked up to Tsuna's face, seeing the red face, he raised an eyebrow, but a smirk was present on his face.
Snapping her head away, Tsuna pouted, "Pervert..." She let out a mumble.
Tsuna opened the door of her house, not expecting to see Hayato waiting in front of the Sawada residence.
"Hayato-kun?" She called out to the guy who was staring up the sky. Once his eyes shifted to her, he smiled brightly at her, "Good morning, Hime-sama!"
Smiling back at her friend, Tsuna greeted back, "Good morning, Hayato-kun."
The silver haired boy's smile seemed to even brighten more at her greeting. "How has your morning been so far, Hime-sama?!"
Laughing at the enthusiasm of the male, Tsuna closed the door behind her after shouting out to her mother about her departure. Turning her attention back to Hayato, she walked to him, as the pair started their way to school. "It had been well, if not hectic," she said.
Shooting her a confused gaze, Hayato asked, "Do I need to bomb someone for it?"
Shaking her head, exasperated, Tsuna piped in, "Please don't."
Hayato pouted in disappointment, "Too bad, I would have liked to bomb someone."
Chuckling, "I'd like to have Kyouya and Reborn be alive and well." Tsuna joked, aiming a teasing smile to Hayato.
Hayato stilled, a shot of fear growing in him at the thought of fighting the number one hitman. "Re-Reborn-san has been bothering you? And that Hibari too?"
Tsuna sent a sympathetic smile, "Yeah, but I'm kinda used to it, I mean I've known Kyouya my whole life, and Reborn is... Reborn, so even if it hasn't been that long since he came, I got used to him... Kinda."
Hayato nodded in understanding, "I kind of get what you mean," he sighed in defeat.
Tsuna looked questioningly at her friend, "Is this about your sister?"
Hayato shuddered; face going green white at the mention of his sister, "Y-yes."
'Poor Hayato...'
"Well, anyways! That doesn't matter right now!" Hayato exclaimed, his mood lifted, "She's in Italy right now, so she can't reach me!"
Tsuna felt a ringing sensation in her head, making her wince from the sudden pain, 'Something is telling me that it won't be like that.' Glancing at Hayato, pondering whether she should inform him of this, but seeing him all happy and relieved at the thought of his sister not being here stopped her, 'Well, I can just tell him later. There's no need to rush.' She smiled.
"By the way," Hayato stopped, returning his attention back to the brunette, "When you mentioned Hibari earlier, did that mean he was at your home?" Getting a nod in confirmation, Hayato scowled in annoyance, "Can I ask why he was there?"
The smile on Tsuna's face dimmed a little, "Oh, I called him yesterday after you guys left to talk about Yamamoto-kun."
Hayato's scowl softened, as he gazes in worry at the female, "Did he come over to comfort you?"
Shifting a bit so that Tsuna bumped her shoulder into Hayato's softly, Tsuna smile widened to its previous state, "You barely met him but you already know that he came to comfort me?" She teased, gaining a blush from her silver haired friend, "But yeah, he did, he also said that Yamamoto-kun broke his arm yesterday."
"And did your feeling say anything regarding this?"
"It kinda got worse?" Tsuna mumbled, "I really don't know what's happening, but it seems like it will happen soon."
Hayato watched as Tsuna chewed on her lower lip in worry, he hesitated but ended up reaching his hand to grasp her own, she had told him multiple times that they were friends and friends do this, so he steeled himself and spoke, "Hime-sama. Whatever happens, I will help you. So don't fret, that idiot will be okay."
Tsuna smiled at her friend's reassurance, "Alright, I'll trust you on this one. Now, come on. We don't wanna be late for school."
"Hai!"
There were some hurried steps resonating through the halls, and a student was running towards his class. Upon reaching his class, he shoved the door open, making all students turn their heads towards the panting student. After a few deep breaths, the student looked up at his classmates and shouted. "Yamamoto is about to jump off the roof!"
It took a few moments for the sentence to sink into the heads of the students, but when it did, the majority of the class laughed it off, taking it as a joke. Some were even scolding him for joking about such a serious matter. That is except for a group of four students, who were exchanging worried and concerned glances between themselves.
As the students who rushed into their class started explaining to his classmates that it wasn't a joke, Tsuna bolted from her seat and ran out of her class, headings towards the stairs that lead to the roof. She was being followed by another three students, but she didn't pay them any attention as all she could focus on is that thought of getting to the rooftop as soon as she can.
"Hime-sama!" She heard Hayato calling out after her, as he caught up with her. Both on the last steps of the stairs, Tsuna fastened her pace to reach the rooftop's door, Hayato behind her. Stepping into the sun light ground, the pair saw that it's been crowded with students shouting out to the student who was standing at the edge of the roof, but none actually tried to get near to Yamamoto.
As the pair stood, watching the students yelling, they heard two more set of footsteps stopping behind them followed by light breathes. Tsuna turned to see Hana and Kyoko leaning against a wall, panting slightly.
"Oh god, Tsuna, you can't just go running like that." Hana glared a bit at the brunette. But then looked concerned at seeing Yamamoto standing at the edge of roof.
"What are we going to do?" Kyoko asked, moving forward to clutch Tsuna's hand. Tsuna squeezed her hand in response, before letting go. "I'm going to talk to him," Tsuna replied.
Hayato opened his mouth to interrupt, annoyed at that Yamamoto guy making his Hime-sama so worried but then shut his mouth. His Hime-sama is just kind like this, he had noticed that in the few days he spent with her, she gets worried about many people. She keeps insisting she's no saint, and to some degree Hayato agrees with her. He knows that she's not completely selfless, as much as he wanted to deny seeing any flaws in his future boss. She had told him that the only reason she fights is because of her friendship with the school prefect. That if she wasn't close to him, she would have preferred not to get involved into any fights. That she is scared of dying because of those fights, but is more afraid of losing her childhood friend, so she continues on.
She cares deeply to those who she's close to, she's no angel to protect everyone she meets, but she had told if she sees someone she knows, and she knows she could save them, she will do it, because if she doesn't, she would always regret not doing it.
Hayato grit his teeth, before relaxing his jaw and speaking. "Alright, Hime-sama. We also won't interfere with what you are going to do."
Hana snapped her head towards Hayato in shock, she expected the male to stop Tsuna. Kyoko smiled at this and Tsuna sent him a grateful smile.
"Just get the others away from here, alright?" Tsuna requested. The other three nodded at her.
Turning, Tsuna walked forward. And once the crowd of students saw her, they started to shuffle away giving Tsuna a path to walk. Silence overcame them, with the occasional murmur from some stupid souls.
Tsuna ignored them, all her focus on Yamamoto Takeshi, who had turned his head when he heard light footsteps nearing him.
"Sawada," he muttered, eyes narrowing. "What? Gonna make fun of me?"
Tsuna furrowed her eyebrows, eyes flashing orange for a second before turning back to her usual shade of brown. Takeshi felt his breath hitch, breath taken away in the moment he saw the orange flash before he could breathe again.
Shaking his head to focus again. "Not gonna say anything?" He snarled. "Is Sawada-sama just so much better than me? Am I just too low for you to speak to?"
Tsuna continued staring blankly at her classmate before turning to the sea of students. "Leave." She ordered.
At that, some complaints were vocalized. But Tsuna just glared in response, shutting them up. She glanced at Hayato, who nodded at her. Tsuna nodded back in gratitude.
"Oi!" Hayato bellowed, "she said to leave! Get moving!"
The students started to scramble, hurrying to leave the roof out of fear, but some can be heard muttering complaints while glaring at Tsuna, who just stood watching them leave with an impassive expression.
Once the roof was semi empty, the only remaining were the group of four friends plus Yamamoto. Hana and Kyoko shared worried glances, contemplating whether they should leave or not. "Don't worry. I'll watch over Hime-sama." Hayato said.
Kyoko relaxed and sent the Italian a bright smile, while Hana sent him a suspicious look, before nodded at him. "Alright. But we're going to call Hibari just in case." The latter informed.
Once they left, the door closing behind them. Hayato moved towards it and leaned his back against it, ensuring no one is going to enter and interfere any time soon.
As everything was happening, Tsuna was still standing in her place. With Yamamoto looking at her in confusion and anger. As he was going to speak, Tsuna asked, "Why?"
The dark-haired male looked confused at the question, before scowling. "Why what? Why am I going to end my life? It's because the baseball god threw me away! Baseball is- was my everything, without it I'm nothing! I was known for being great at it! The best here! But for a while now... Even before my arm broke, I haven't been up to my best." His voice started to grow quieter as he went on. "Everyone kept saying to go on, that I should practice more. That they depend on me. But look at where it got me. I broke my arm..."
Tsuna's eyes were soft at his outburst. She let out a hum and relaxed her previously tense posture. Walking forward until she stood beside her taller classmate, but never touched the railing. She heard the grunt of disapproval from Hayato, but she appreciated him for not stopping her right now. She looked down at the school courtyard, watching the few students standing there is groups, chatting between each other, seemingly unaware of what's happening on the roof.
Yamamoto just stared in shock. "What are you doing? Why did you come near? What if you fall?" His voice was laced with worry.
"What about you then?" She returns. When not getting an answer, she glanced at him from the corner of her eyes before returning her gaze to the courtyard. "Can I ask you a question, Yamamoto-kun?"
"Go on."
"Are you afraid of heights?"
Yamamoto blinked at the seemingly random question. "No?"
"Well, I am." She said, "Are you scared of lions?"
"Why are you asking me that? Are you trying to stall?" He opted to ask.
Tsuna shrugged. "Just answer me."
Yamamoto sighed, "I don't know. Probably?" he conceded. Answering her previous question, before thinking for a moment and then asking. "What about you?"
Tsuna didn't expect him to ask her in return, but still answered, a small smile growing on her face. "I'm scared of them, even though I also admire them, you know."
"Why do you admire them?" the male asked.
"Lions signify courage, strength, and power. That I admire." She said, "Lions live in groups, they're called a 'Pride', which is nice. I also read that lionesses are the ones who hunt and care for their cubs. This reminds me of my mom, of how she cares for me and my father."
Yamamoto smiled back at her. "Yeah. I guess that is good reason to admire them."
"Thanks," Tsuna said. "What about you? Any animal you admire? Any favorites?"
"You can say I like dogs, probably for their loyalty." He wondered out loud. "But I also like birds, they're free, they can fly to wherever they want."
Tsuna's smile grew at his answer, "Free, huh. Yeah, that's a nice reason too. I would like to fly too, just imagine the views and places you get to see."
Yamamoto blinked, and grinned, "How will you do that with your fear of heights?"
"I will overcome my fear if it means I can see beautiful places," Tsuna spoke in a serious tone, only to let out a giggle when Yamamoto snorted at her tone.
The brunette lifted her head and stared at the blue sky, is this what she's supposed to represent? A gust of wind ruffled her short hair and Tsuna closed her eyes for a moment at the feeling of cold air hitting her face before opening them again. "Say, Yamamoto-kun. Do you have no regrets about how you lived your life?"
"Regrets…" he mumbled, also lifting his head to try and see what the girl could be looking at but there was nothing, just a blue sky with a few clouds floating by, "Yeah. I do have a few. Why?"
"Don't you want to get rid of these regrets?"
"How?" He asked.
Tsuna's body straightened, turning her head towards him and focused all of her attention on him. Her face turned serious and her eyes once again flickering orange as she said, "By living."
Yamamoto froze in shock and silence overtook the rooftop area with the faint sounds from the courtyard below. The male started at Tsuna with confusion evident on his face, only for it to shift into a scowl of anger. "Oh really?" He snarled.
'So, all of this was to stop me from jumping. This small talk,' it was nice talking to her, Yamamoto had enjoyed the small talk, the silly questions and her views were nice, 'of course idiot! She only talked to me to stop me!' Yamamoto felt bitterness grow within him. He had enjoyed speaking with her. Her questions made it seem like she cared for him. Wanted to know him.
He glared at Tsuna. Yamamoto turned away, clutching into the railing, ignoring Tsuna's "Stop!" when he leaned his weight on it.
*CREAK*
The creaking noise came from the rusted metal of the railing. The railing broke and fell, and along with it, Yamamoto who was still holding onto the broken metal. Eyes open in shock. But he wasn't falling, since there was a hand that had reached in time and caught his broken arm as his good one was busy carrying the broken fence. Yamamoto didn't even pay attention to the pain of having his broken arm gripped tightly.
Yamamoto felt his world freeze while he stared down and could see the courtyard far away, he knew if he fell then, he would actually die. Does he actually want to die? There were shouts from students down when they realized that someone was hanging from the rooftop. He looked up to see who caught him, to see Tsuna gripping tightly into his arm, frowning and gritting out a "Catch my arm and don't let go." Her eyes were filled with desperation. Yamamoto followed her orders but he see that she was shaking and struggling to keep hold of him.
Hayato's worried voice called out for her as he surged forward and caught her body that was being pulled down with Yamamoto by gravity. But even with the silver-head's help, Yamamoto was slipping from Tsuna's grip.
"Goddamn it! Yamamoto!" she growled, eyes turning orange but the boy didn't notice at that moment, "You better not die!"
Reborn, who was hiding up until now, took out Leon, positioning in order to shoot her with another bullet, but he was stopped when Hayato yelled out "Let go of the fence, Dumbass! And catch her with you other hand!"
The said 'Dumbass' did as he had been told and reached to Tsuna's hand. She caught him and now with a better grip on him, she and Hayato started to pull him up.
Reborn lowered his gun, and watched as his student solved the issue without his aid.
Hayato kept a tight grip, pulling and pulling harder on Tsuna. And when Yamamoto's upper body was finally on the roof, Tsuna asked him to let go and instead help with pulling Yamamoto himself up.
Hayato let go reluctantly, but then quickly helped as to not burden her even more.
In a few moments, the three laid on the roof, all panting for breath while trying to process what just happened.
"Holy Crap," Tsuna gasped out, "That actually happened."
Hayato sat up, looking over at the only female in worry, "Are you okay, Hime-sama?"
Yamamoto followed his action and also stared at her.
The girl in response opened her eyes and turned her head in their direction. The pair had their eyes widen at the sight of Tsuna's eyes currently shinning bright orange. "I'm fine. What about you two?"
They just nodded slowly, still transfixed with her eyes. Tsuna frowned in confusion, "Is something wrong?"
Yamamoto swallowed before speaking, "Umm, Sawada. Your eyes are orange?"
Tsuna got up and tilted her head, "They are?"
"Yeah," Hayato nodded, "It isn't the first time it happened either, Hime-sama. But it usually is just a flicker, not like right now."
Tsuna hummed and nodded, "Alright. Thanks, Hayato-kun. But why are they orange right now though?"
"That I can explain later." Came the squeaky voice of her tutor.
All three whipped their heads towards the hitman, two of them shouting "Reborn! / Reborn-san!" while the third looked with confusion as the baby.
"Ciassu." Reborn smirked, tilting his had to shadow his eyes.
"Who are you, Kid?" Yamamoto asked.
"I'm Reborn, Baka-Tsuna's tutor." The baby answered.
Tsuna moved before Reborn can let out anything related to the mafia. She kneeled down in front of the hitman, "Reborn, were you here the entire time?"
"I was."
"Then why didn't you help?" Tsuna frowned.
Reborn gazed at her, with what seemed to be a proud look, "I was going to, even had the bullet ready to shoot you, but you had everything handled over here."
Tsuna's face flushed at that, sending a shy smile at her tutor, "Oh, okay…" she said softly.
"Sawada." Yamamoto called out.
Tsuna turned her head in his direction, "Yes?"
The dark-haired male fidgeted slightly, eyes lowering to the floor, "Why did you save me?"
Hayato and Reborn stared in interest at the (former?) baseball player, but kept quiet for Tsunahime's answer.
Tsuna shifted so that she was sitting cross legged in front of Yamamoto, "Yamamoto-kun," she had started, "My first reason is that I would have regretted not saving you."
"But it's not your responsibility to take care of me!" He protested.
A small smile grew on Tsuna's face, "That might be true, but I'm here, I am capable of stopping you so I did. If I had not done that, I would have regretted not doing anything to help you when I was perfectly capable of doing so."
"So, you only saved me because you didn't want a guilty conscience," Yamamoto stated, a bitter smile on his face, "Thanks for being truthful with me."
"I'm not done yet," Tsuna interjected, "I only stated my first reason."
Yamamoto shut his mouth, his previous smile wiped from his face.
"Now, this may sound cliché and please don't take this in a romantic way, but I like you Yamamoto-kun. You can say I kind of admired you, just like how I did with Kyoko-chan, and I wanted to be friends with you for so long. Besides… It hurts seeing you like this."
The dark-haired teen felt his eyes get moist, lips trembling as he held in any sound that would tumble out. He shifted to hide his face as to not show his tears, but it was poorly hidden as all that was present could see his shoulders shaking.
Tsuna only hesitated for a bit before pulling the teen towards her and hugging him. She felt him tensing at this only to relax not even a moment later and hid his face into her shoulder. Tsuna glanced up from the teen towards Hayato, who was seemingly trying his best to restrain himself from tackling the stressed teen in anger for touching his Hime-sama.
She smiled gratefully at the explosive teen and extended a hand to him. When Hayato took her hand, she tugged him so that he sat besides her. He didn't let out any protests and Tsuna felt affection for her storm swell in her.
It was then that Tsuna's orange eyes turned back to their normal chocolate brown color.
'So, her eyes change color when in a highly emotional moment…' Reborn thought to himself, 'It really seems that her flames are breaking the seal, why so soon?' He had noticed from the first day that the seal placed on her flames is weak. But why? What happened to weaken the seals?
Silence has fallen on the roof, with the occasional sniffling from Yamamoto, but none spoke, content with having a peaceful moment after such a dangerous incident.
The roof door opened and Kyouya came stomping out. Kyoko and Hana following behind him. The two girls stared in surprise at the sight of the three teens so close to each other while Kyouya glared at Yamamoto.
"Omnivore," Kyouya walked towards the said girl and stopped in front of her.
Yamamoto extracted himself from Tsuna and shifted away with Hayato as to give way to the couple. It was then that Yamamoto's face was shown to be wet, eyes red and swollen, it didn't take long for the newly arrived to know that he was crying.
"Kyouya-san," Tsuna stood up with her boyfriend's help, struggling a bit as her legs had so she had to lean on him. Kyouya wasn't bothered by that and just circled his arms around her waist. "The situation here has been handled."
Kyouya let out a sigh in annoyance, "Tsunahime, do you have any idea how worried I was when I received a call from Tetsuya regarding you almost falling from the roof?"
Tsuna frowned, "But it wasn't me who was falling?"
"You were going to fall because you caught the baseball-herbivore." The prefect grit out.
"Well, I couldn't just let him fall."
Kyouya wanted to make a comment, wanted to say that her life is precious to be put at risk as she did. But he held back his comments, he'd rather not start an argument right now. "We'll talk about this later."
And Tsuna dropped it, knowing that if they talk now it might lead to a fight, so until next time when they were both alone and Kyouya was calm since he was in a bad mood. She nodded at him, and took a step back from his embrace and turned to her friends.
The moment she was away from Kyouya, Kyoko took her chance to pounce and engulf Tsuna into a hug and rubbed her check into Tsuna's while crying about how worried she was when she heard that Tsuna was about to fall.
Hana sighed at her best friend's action, but she was relieved that Tsuna was safe. She walked to Hayato and stood besides him. Hayato turned to her, "What took you two so long?"
Hana scowled at the reminder of how late they were with fetching the prefect, "Hibari wasn't in his office. So, we had to search for Kusakabe for him to call him, apparently he was busy 'disciplining' some delinquents so he wasn't aware of what's going on."
Hayato nodded in acceptance and Hana took it as an end of their conversation. Hana knew that the half-Italian wasn't much for words and won't explain what happened unless questioned, and a glance on the shaken Yamamoto showed that he won't be the one speaking.
"So, what exactly happened here? We heard from the shouting students that Yamamoto falling and you guys pulling him up. But they also said that it didn't look like he jumped, so how did he fall?"
Hayato grumbled under his breath "Because he was being an idiot," before he answered Hana, "The fence broke when he leaned on it."
Hana nodded at his answer then turned to Yamamoto. Who when he felt someone staring at him, lifted his head up to meet her gaze. He flinched at the glare she directed at him.
"You better have learned your lesson."
Yamamoto looked guilty as he nodded, but he answered without hesitation. "Yes."
"You are not to do this again."
"I won't."
"Don't drag Tsuna into a situation like this again."
"Okay."
"Good. Now, you better stay away from her if you know what's best for you."
Now he paused, and frowned, "I can't promise that."
Both Hayato and Hana didn't like that answer. "And why not?"
"That's because from now onwards, Yamamoto-kun is going to be my friend." Tsuna answered, she had extracted herself from Kyoko's death hug and had instead just held her hand in a comforting gesture.
Yamamoto stilled and turned to Tsuna with hopeful eyes, "Really?"
"Of course!" Tsuna exclaimed, "And now since we're friends, you are to not throw away your life for anything ever again!"
Yamamoto smiled, "Alright."
