Chapter 10, Uncover deep feelings.
As the sky grew darker over the city of New York and the air grew cooler Beetlejuice, Lydia and their guests decided to go back inside the house and downstairs into the lounge, except for Charles and Lydia.
It was way past the twins bedtime Charles oftered to help Lydia put the children to bed as he took his granddaughter from her high chair and Lydia took Tucker from his before making their way downstairs.
After helping his daughter give the twins a quick waste and changed into their night wear. He put his granddaughter, Beatrix down into her crib and then placed the cover over her little body. Beatrix closed her eyes the moment her head touched her pillow and fall into a deep sleep.
Once her brother Tucker was put in his crib and the cover was placed over his body, Lydia turned on the twins night lamp before she and her father left the room quitely.
Instead of going stretch downstairs to rejoin their guests, Charles asked Lydia if he could have a quick chat with her, Lydia nodded her head and then led her father to her bedroom, Charles gave an 'Ohh!' as he walked into the room when Lydia turned on the ceiling light.
She closed the door behind and then walked over to the bed to sat down facing her father, wondering what it was he wanted to talk to her about. Charles was very impressed on how well his daughter settled back in New York, the house was in great shape and the twins were happy and in good health.
During dinner BJ and Lydia had decided to tell them that they were quiting their jobs with the theatre company, and were currently in the procedure on starting their own business.
Charles was not only shocked by the news but didn't say a word while they were at the table, he wondered why his daughter was quitting her job so shortly after moving back to the city.
He listened to Lydia and BJ go into fully detail on how they planned to start their new business and what they were currently working on right now in order to set it up before finishing their last play with the theater company.
It sounded like they had everything in order but a small part of Charles was worried BJ was somehow scumming Lydia, so when dinner was over, the night was getting colder and Lydia wantng to put the twins to bed. Charles took this as an opportunity to talk to his daughter while everyone followed BJ inside to continue the nights event in the longue.
(Unknown to everyone, once everyone had gone inside. Beetlejuice stood in the door way of the roof and the stairs. Without anyone watching, he magically cleared everything from the table, chairs foldered up and storaged away & the table covered. All the lights turned off, he then closed the door behind him before joinging their guests downstairs while Lydia and Charles put the children to bed.)
"So, Dad. What is it you want to talk about?" asked Lydia, nervously. She had a feeling she knew about her father wanted to talk to her about, Lydia had predicted it before the dinner.
Before her parents arrived in New York, she and Beetlejuice disscussed rather on not to tell her parents about her starting her new job. Beetlejuice convited her to tell them the true because he noticed that she was starting to struggle from keeping some many secrets. One of them about him and he figured by telling them it will relife some of the stress that she had.
After all they already did give her parents, the half of the truth as to why they moved to New York. Just not the fully of it. They would of told them the fully truth before but because Barbara Maitland got so upset about Lydia moving, Lydia and Beetlejuice decided not to discuss it further.
Charles was proud of his daughter and he didn't doubt her capability on making things work but he had some concered that she would end up like him. He knew first hand how difficult it was to start a new business and the stress that came with it, he worried that Lydia would end up like him always have stress and anxieties about everything and anything when it came to business.
He first started the conversation by compliment how great the house look before moving on to expressiong his conceres about her starting her own busines.
Lydia lowered her head starting at his feet as he confirmed her suspicion as to why he wanted to talk to her. "I know you have you concerns Dad, I'm aware running a busniess is a big thing..."
"Big thing? It's a huge, Pumpkin. Starting a busniess takes a huge amount of work and effect to keep going especially these days where there are big competitors in the market," said Charles.
She nodded her head in understanding as to what her father was saying, "I'm aware of that, but I'm not going in this alone. I have BJ and he's an excellant skilled salesman."
"I've noticed," he admitted. "Was this the really reason why you moved back to New york?"
Lydia took a steady breath to help easy her nervous, "Partly, I want to try spend more time with the twins while they are still young and I've unable to do that while working at the theatre. Plus, it would great for me and BJ to spend more time together as a family.
Her father frowned at her, "Was this your idea or was this BJ?"
Lydia was taken back by this question, "it was both our idea."
"Really? This really wasn't just his?"
She was taken back by his changed of tone. "I don't understand. I thought you like BJ," she said, worriedly.
"I do, pumpkin. I am proud of you and you appear to be happy but... I don't know what it is, I have this feeling that there's something strange between you two..."
Lydia suddenly felt her stomach twigged nervously, she did her best to remain calm while letting him finish talking. "The whole thing just seens rather strange, I mean. He magically appears out of no way shortly after you had the twins, when you claimed you hadn't given him your address or any kind of contract when you two split up..."
Lydia's face burned a little, she hoped it didn't show.
"Next thing you're living together, and then you moved here to New York with him. Now, you two are planning to start your own business, you two haven't been together for a whole year yet. I'm sorry Pumpkin but it's all very worring."
Lydia's heart was beatting rather uncomfortable against her rids as she tried to gather her thoughts on how she was going to her expalin her to explain her way out of this. It took a moment or two for Lydia to reliase that there was only one option for her to do, she had to be as honest as possible without having to explain too much.
"Yes, I admit. I'm taking a big risk with giving up a good well paid job especially when we just moved here and bought this house and done it up," said Lydia. "My relationship with BJ may not have started off to a good start, and maybe we could of have done things differently but everything has turned well," said Lydia after a long pause.
"Things look Ok, for now," said Charles. "But that doesn't mean that it would remain so for long."
"Dad, BJ has worked very hard on making me and the twins happy, the twins love him and he loves them. He's been a wonderfuly Dad and he treats me right, from the moment he came back he has taken good care of me," said Lydia.
"But does he love you?" asked Charles.
Lydia was stunned by the question. "Hmm..." Just say yes, yes. Anything to end this! She thought to herself.
Her father frowned, "well? Does he?"
It was a simple question but Lydia had no clue how to answer him because she didn't want to lie to her father about that, but would it be lying? After all Lydia knew that Beetlejuice didn't like to talk about his feelings none had she decleared her love for him.
Over the past year and a half now Beetlejuice had done so much for her and the twins. From the moment he came back in her life, her helped her struggle with manging the twins and her work, they've build a new home. He made her laugh, he took care of her and now he was doing everything that he can to make her happy without asking for anything in return. Lydia hadn't found out the really reason why he came back but she was glad that he did.
"Yes, I think he does," she said softly with a smile.
He father watched the expression on her face as she said it, "do you feel the same about him?"
Lydia glazed up at her father, she had no hesitation "yes I do, very much."
Charles still had the feeling that Lydia wasn't telling him everything but decided not to push the matter any further he had spoken to her and that was that, he would have to wait and see how things develp between them.
He gave his daughter a hug and then made their way back downstairs and into the lounge, where Beetlejuice, Delia and Otho were sitting talking and drinking.
When Lydia and Charles walked into the room Beetlejuice had turned around in his seat, and was surprised to see the look on Lydia's face. She was smiling sweetly at him as she walked towards him and took her place beside him. He frowned curiously at her as he handed her drinking glass.
He wondered what had Lydia and Charles were been doing about upstairs, about an hour later, Otho decided it was time for him to leave. He bid them all goodnight and thanked Lydia for the hospitality, and then left.
The moment Otho had left Delia oftered to help Lydia clear away their empty drinking glasses into the kitchen and a upon entering the kitchen, she was surprised and confused as to how all their dirty dishes ended up in the dish washer when she didn't remember them bring bought down.
Thankfully Delia put it down to having too much to drink and maybe it was now time for her to go to bed, Lydia laughed this off and then bid her good night as Delia walked out of the kitchen.

While Lydia and Delia went into the kitchen, Charles and Beetlejuice were left alone, sitting in their own seats oppit of the room. Both grinning, chuckling and then suddenly there was a feeling awkwared between them, which confused Beetlejuice as to why he was feeling like this.
Perhaps it was because he was worried what Charles and Lydia were doing upstairs for so long, maybe the news about them starting a busniess was a step to far to old Chucky speacially so soon moving back to the big city with a guy that she had only been living with for about year.
Hell, now that his was a father to a daughter. He could image how he would feel if Beatrix did the same thing with same guy that she hardly knew.
Beetlejuice didn't want to start a fight with Chuck not after working so hard to earn Lydia's trust, he stratched the back of his neck nervously not knowing if he should talk to him about something.
But before he could say anything Delia came walking back into the longue, smiling broadly and looking a little tipsy.
"C'mon dear, I think it's time we went to bed and left these two to it," she said to her husband.
Charles frowned at her as he got up from his chair and then walked over to her, she started giggling as she leaned against him and then dragged hold him by his tie. He had never seen his wife behave like this anything during their marriage and wondered what has got into her.
He pulled a face when he got width of her breath and then turned his head away, before he bid Beetlejuice and Lydia 'goodnight' and then led his wife upstairs and to their bedroom.
Leaving Beetlejuice and Lydia in the longue grinning with amusement after them.
Shortly later in their bedroom Beetlejuice was in bed leaning against the headboard, while Lydia was in the bathroom in deep thought. After Delia and Charles went to bed he thought about asking Lydia about what she and Charles had talked about early but then decided not too.
He didn't want to run the risk of her parents hearing them, of course he could easily use his magic to block them from hearing anything but the moment he saw Lydia smiling warmly back at him, he decided to leave it till her parents left for home in Winter River.
Yet now he was alone in his bed, he wondered why Lydia look so happy. It puzzled him like hell. Suddenly he was snapped out of his deep thoughts when he heard Lydia coming out of the bathroom and turned off the bathroom light, upon entered their bedroom.
Lydia was wearing a long black silk dress robe and then closed the door behind her.
In the bathroom Lydia examined herself in the mirror as she ran her fingers through her hair to try and put some shape back into her hair after having it up all evening.
After talking to her father Lydia, finally admited to herself that she was now ready to take her relationship with Beetlejuice a step further. Since he returned after the twins were born, he had not once made any sexual advances towards her, despite it being obviously that he wanted.
She noticed the way he looked at her and when they were in their bed she would wake up every morning to feel of hard bulge against her. Every morning she would herself getting hot and her nibbles would harden with excitement.
For some time now she found herself wanting him, imaging what it would be like to be touched by him again, wondering if it would it be anything like their first time. To her shame she would take long hot showers in the morning and have wide fantasies of him taking her.
Only she was too stubborn to not take that step, yet each day it was getting diffcult to ignore her feelings for him. Some weeks before moving into their new home in New york Lydia had paid a visit to her doctor, to have her put on the morning pill.
She hadn't used them yet, simply because they were not needed but she got them just encase she did and tonight, it was that time. Lydia hoped that she and Beetlejuice would get round to the discussing of the possiblity of more children in the furture but not now.
They had a lot going on, what with finishing their last play at the theater company before starting their own business, and of course they had the twins to deal with. They didn't need another child so soon.
She took a deep breath as she removed a pill from it's packet and then downed it with a glass of water, after swallowing it down with the water. Lydia gave herself one last inspection in the mirror before finally leaving the bathroom.
She cared for Beetlejuice very much, and tonight she was going to show him how much she does.
The moment Lydia entered their bedroom, Beetlejuice sat up stretched in bed when he noticed how she looked, with her hair all wavy and seeing the type of robe she was wearing, his body reacted at the sight of her.
Oh, please don't let this be a trick or some kind of cruel game she was playing
He was shocked when saw her locked the door behind her, back her parents house he remebered that she didn't do that when they visted her parents house.
"You and Chucky were up here for a long time, was there something wrong?" said Beetlejuice nervously as she made her way towards him.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to leave you with Delia and Otho for so long but Dad wanting to talk," said Lydia as she kneed onto the bed.
"Oh! About what?" asked Beetlejuice.
"Oh, about the house and on how well we have settled in," she said, walking over to her side of the bed.
A wide smile pressed against her lips when she felt her heart suddenly beating rather fast against her ribs. If he was alive he knew his heart would be racing right now and even thought he was dead, he was sure he could feel his body getting hotter and hotter just by looking at her.
She looked nerours was leaned towards and then slow and sortly, she kissed him fully on the lips.
"Lyds?"
Lydia pressed a finger to his lips to silent him before she kissed him passionately again on the lips, and ran her hands over his chest. "You've been so good to me B, I want to show you that I'm no longer afraid of you and that I trust you. I want you, Beej. I want you to take me," she whispered softly against his lips.
Beetlejuice felt something glow inside his chest at sound of her words, his hands were literally shaking as he reached up to thread his fingers through her hair and kiss her back.
He gasped into her mouth. He hesitated for a moment before he pulled her into his arms and put his hands around her. How long he had wanted her? Waited and hoped for this day to come and now it was he was struggling to hold back.
He gentle spread her out on their bed and had her on her back against the sheets, his hands made their way down her body, reaching her waist where he grabbed hold of the ties to her belt of her robe and unfed it.
He couldn't believe what he had found hidden beneath Lydia's robe, she was wearing some kind of black and sliver spider web bra and panties, sexy lingerie.
She was gorgeous, Lydia gave him a nervous smile as she laid there, running her hands up and down his arms. Beetlejuice gave her a wide smile as caressed her cheek, he would not give her reason to fear him every again.
She was his at last, free for him to touch and caress however he pleased.
Unlike her parents house, all the walls to their home were thick so there was no risk of her parents or their children of hearing them. Yet to make double sure that her parents won't hear a thing anything, Beetlejuice used his magic to make the room completely sound proof. After wanting and waiting so long for her, he was going to enjoy making this last as long as possible.
Without saying another word Beetlejuice pulled away from her for a moment so he could removed his night shirt that he wore in bed, and shorts off and then tossed it onto the floor. Once his clothes were taken off, he pulled Lydia back into his arms and kissed her with such hunger.
Hours later Lydia laid exhausted against her lovers chest, his chin resting lightly on top of her head while he held her to him, running the tips of his fingers along the skin of her back, feeling her heart beat pounding against him.
She closed her eyes and enjoyed the feel of him caressing her back, their lovemaking had been just as amazing as it had been on their first night, if not not more.
Lydia knew after tonight their weren't going to go back the way they were before, for now on they were moving forward. They were a really couple, and a family. Did that worry her? That they were a really couple? A little, but as much as it did before, she was ready to open her heart and soul for him.
As her heart beat returned to normal, some time later Beetlejuice pulled the bedcovers over them and then pressed a light kiss on her forehead, before they both settled down to sleep.
In the early hours of the morning as the sun was rising over New York city, Beetlejuice woke up with a dastardly smile on his face as he looked down at Lydia who was still sleeping on his chest.
He had the same feeling in his chest on the morning after he'd spent his first night with Lydia, only the glowing feeling was much more warmer and strongly than before and unlike the first time, he wasn't freaked out by it.
A moment later Lydia opened her eyes slowly to see him looking her, she gave a happy sign and gave him a look that made him feel like he was about to go up in flames.
"Any regret?" he asked in a whisper, rubbing his thumb against her bare back.
She shook her head and said, "no, none what's so ever."
Beetlejuice leaned forward to kiss her swollen lips gentle, Lydia kissed him back, when they broke away she raised her head up slightly from where she laid, to glaze over at the clock that behind him on bedside dresser, to see what time it was before lowered her head back down.
"We still have a couple hours left to spare before everyone is up, do you... want you know?" she asked with such shyness while running her fingers against his skin.
Beetlejuice gave a evil chuckle, "a woman after my own heart."
He pulled back the sheets, got out of bed and then pulled Lydia into his arm. He carried her into their joint shower room and then indulge in some early morning lovemaking, it was their first shower Beetlejuice had ever enjoyed taking a shower.
He promised to shower more often if Lydia would agree to take them showers with him, which made Lydia chuckle. Of the many fantasies Lydia had of making love to Beetlejuice in the shower, were all fulfilled with such delight and joy.
Hours later Lydia and Beetlejuice were already downstairs with the twins having breakfast before her parents came down. Neither Delia or Charles noticed the smirk grins on Beetlejuice and Lydia's faces throughout breakfast.
Lydia's parents stayed with them for a few more days before finally returning to Winter River. During they stay Delia was in such high spirts. Lydia couldn't remember the last time she had seen her stepmother so happy. Delia had made plans to spend sometime with Otho while she was in New York, which made Charles happy for he spent most of his time up on their garden roof. Drinking tea and reading some book.
When he wasn't chilling out on the roof, Charles would spend the evenings spend with Lydia and the children and go to the central park.
When the time came for them to go back to Winter River, Beetlejuice told reminded them that they were welcome any time to their hime. Delia gave to sob and then gave Beetlejuice a tight hug as she thanked him for inviting them.
After saying their goodbyes, Charles began the long journey back to Winter River, waving them off Beetlejuice turned to Lydia. "Well, Miss Lydia. Now that they have gone, time to finally get this show over with so we can get cracking on starting our business."
Lydia nodded her head with a smile.
