Marinette swung on her porch swing on her balcony, checking her watch. Any minute now, and Cat would be here. Lately, it had become a tradition to sit on the balcony and talk to each other about their day as they watched the sunset.
"Princess? You here?" Cat appeared, leaping cat-like onto her balcony railing. "Cat!" she leaped up as he climbed down from the rail, and swept her up in a hug. As much as Marinette liked school and hanging out with Adrien, it was these little moments that she treasured with her partner. "You look lovely," he complimented her, taking in her fuzzy pink sweater and black pants. Marinette blushed. "I made you something," she told him shyly, tugging on his hand and walking over to the small table.
"Cookies?" Cat's eyes gleamed. "And homemade peach tea." "Well, shucks, ain't you a peach," Cat joked. "Oh, Kitty."
They sat down on the porch swing, Cat munching his cookie contently. "How was school today?" he asked, sitting down his glass. Marinette slipped her arm through his, leaning her head on his shoulder. It was in these moments that she didn't have to hide her identity or her life from her partner. "It was fine. I got a A in art." "So what else is new? If you weren't planning on being a designer, Princess, I would want you to be artist." Marinette sighed. "Sometimes I want a family more then that. But I've got plenty of time to think about that." Cat leaned his forehead against hers. "You know whatever you decide I'll support you, right?" Marinette nodded, throat tight. She could talk to him about anything. He was her biggest supporter. "You forget something you know. When you first arrived?" she teased, trying to jog his memory. "Oh? What could I have forgotten but my charm-meowing self?" "My hello kiss, you dork." "Correction, my dear Princess. Your dork." She giggled. "Each other's dorks?" "Fair, fair," he laughed warmly and Marinette loved the sound. "Hello, Princess."
How could one's lips be cloud-like or making her feel like she was floating on one? Cat pulled away, grin spreading across his face. "Okay, you got to hear this pun I heard this afternoon." she laughed. He could be so romantic one second, a total floof the next.
But she wouldn't change her partner for anything. Hello kisses were very nice, even from the pun master like Cat.
