THE HEARTH'S HEART
A/N:- SO… I know… I said I'll start with a Pertemis story… and I did… believe me. I have three drafts for that, and two drafts for a Perzoe Reincarnation story and one for a Avengers X PJO one… and I didn't complete any of them… so here I am… with an au story of Percy being the champion of Hestia. I know… it's been done before… but, yeah… I'd like to try my hand at it too… so… this story is a similar plot to the "Black Heart" just that, Poseidon takes Percy to Hestia and she declares him her champion. Percy is a Badass and occasionally is quite powerful. Also… there's no Percabeth here too! I might include a demigod brother of his or a sister… do let me know in the reviews about that!
Footsteps.
She heard footsteps and smelled the sea while she tended the Hearth and sighed.
"Sister," A deep, solemn voice of a man she recognized, started. "I need your help."
In his hands, lay a child, and Hestia realized then that the boy was going to do something big.
How big, neither of them knew.
-TIME-SKIP-
A nine-year-old boy hopped happily in place as his eyes gleamed.
Well, he swam happily as he was in the ocean, but his father had decided to show him Atlantis.
And it was the most beautiful thing ever.
And guess what?
He was going to get a trainer!
"Percy, my Boy!" Amphitrite exclaimed as the son of Poseidon leapt into her arms, and the king of the seas himself smiled along with Triton as they swam faster. "Come on! No time to waste!"
-TIME-SKIP-
"Good!" The Merman exclaimed as he dodged a near-fatal hit from the fourteen-year-old. "That's enough for today."
Percy just gave him a lopsided grin and placed his sword back in, his orange and green eyes glinting in the water.
His father had decided with his patron that it'd be best for him to learn the skills of a warrior, because, while they'd kept his identity a secret and kept him safe, there'd be times where he'd need to fight.
And plus… he was taking part in destroying drug cartels, killing traffickers, and stopping crimes, because… that's what all powerful people did, didn't they? Help the weak?
He had proposed this idea to Aunt Hestia when he was twelve, and she, after some time, agreed and the matter was put to discussion with Poseidon and his wife, who both, although reluctantly, relented.
And soon, there were headlines and talks of a masked, ferocious man/boy with unnatural orange and green eyes who gave bad ends to anyone who decided to take part in illegal and prohibited activities.
Not many survived, but those who did, called him only one thing, in different languages, be it Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Italian, French, Hindi, or English.
El Segador.
O Ceifeiro.
O Theristis.
Il mietitore.
Le moissonneur.
Kaatnevala.
The Reaper.
And Percy loved it. He also had a million-dollar bounty on his head! How many people could brag about something as cool as that!
The Hunters of Artemis had clashed with him many times and none of the times did they catch him unmasked, and well, it just added more stuff to his list to brag about.
Not that he told anyone.
He thought about that as he bid goodbye to his trainer and surfaced, giving the people on the beach the scare of a lifetime. But they relaxed as soon as they saw his smile.
He looked up to see the night sky, and the moon shining brightly. He'd entered the water in the morning, before sunrise, and now, he was exiting when Apollo had decided to sleep.
How so much time passed, he didn't understand, as he swam back to the place where his Patron and father were waiting.
Hestia had thought at first that he was too young to do this stuff, but then she remembered, that all the poor demigods had to pick up a sword at a young age against monsters.
And, those people that Perseus killed mercilessly, were they any less than monsters?
Percy had the blessings of the Hearth and the Sea with him. He was more than perfect for the job. The sea was ruthless when angry, and the most peaceful place when happy.
Hestia's powers allowed him to ooze peace and calm in the most troublesome situations and disperse the tension.
But, the Goddess was anxious. The second child of Poseidon, a girl, was targeted by the Titan Lord. He was rising and needed powerful people by his side.
It was a wonder he hadn't started plaguing the dreams of her champion.
Speaking of the champion, yes, he did know about his sister, and he was… for the lack of a better word… dying to meet her.
They both were, strangely of the same age, with her being just a few days older than him, and they had the same surname.
Hestia had had an encounter with her one day when she was tending to the hearth at Camp, and she was quite the gentlewoman. Not many had noticed her on Half-Blood Hill, but she had, and so, The goddess had given Paige Jackson a gift.
It was a fire locket. All that had to be done was break it and Hestia would help.
Paige, naturally, was dumbstruck, but she had accepted it graciously.
Everything broke someday, however, and tonight was the day that the locket was shattered.
Percy Jackson entered and Hestia immediately told him only a single sentence.
"Percy, go, save your sister."
A/N:- So, I know I said I was going to ask you guys about the brother or sister thing… but then I added it anyway… and I decided that I've already done the brother thing, so I should try to make Percy have a sister. I'm clarifying a few things, this Percy's mother is no more, Paige Jackson's mother is the canon Sally Jackson. This Percy will meet her soon. And the whole Reaper thing… it's for the future. OCs will be there. Percy has a lot of powers in his arsenal and he will use them as the story progresses. And… I'm planning on making a pairing of Paige and Annabeth…So… I hope you like it! Also... do tell me how to write romance, both straight and lesbian... because, well... I'm more of an action guy... Please review! Tell me how it is! Give me suggestions too!
