The Long Train Ride

On board the train later on, the royal family of Tangu was riding in their compartment.

When Akilah's stomach began to rumble like crazy.

"Dad, I'm hungry." Akilah said.

Rashid's stomach started growling too.

"I'm hungry too, Dad." Rashid agreed.

Zandar turned to Sofia who looked down at the floor of the compartment in sadness.

"I'm so sorry," Sofia apologized to Rashid and Akilah. "with all the worrying I've been doing about Vor and her borrowed form, I didn't have time to pack a lunch for us on the trip."

That was when Layla looked up from her stitchery, "Not to worry about that!" she exclaimed.

Layla reached into the bag that she didn't store overhead and pulled out some homemade pita bread and hummus.

"Thanks, Layla." Akilah said.

"Yes," Rashid said to his sister. "you are a total lifesaver!"

The royal family sat down to eat and enjoy their pita bread and hummus.

"This was a wonderful surprise, Layla," Zandar said, grateful.

"You're a wonderful lifesaver, Layla," Sofia praised.

"My pleasure, Dad, Mom," Layla smiled. "I saw Mom was preoccupied, so I took matters into my own hands."

"We've raised a wonderful daughter." Zandar smiled.

"Indeed, we have." Sofia happily agreed.

A few hours later, the Tangu Express pulled into the Freezenburg train station.

"Welcome to Freezenburg, my friends." King Derek greeted.

"It's so good to see you again, Sofia." Hildegard smiled as the two hugged.

"It's good to see you, Hilde." Sofia smiled back.

"And these must be your children." Hildegard remarked.

"These are Akilah, Rashid, and Layla." Zandar said to Hildegard.

"Greetings, Queen Hildegard." Akilah, Rashid, and Layla responded.

"Where are Achim and his parents?" Layla inquired.

"They are at the palace," Derek answered Layla. "babysitting Elsa."

"Speaking of Elsa, we had better be getting back." Hildegard said.

Upon arrival at Freezenburg castle, Rashid bumped into a girl who recognized the other spirit within him.

"Hideaki!" the girl exclaimed.

Rashid looked around, "I haven't the faintest." he said in a confused manner.

"Don't play innocent with me," the girl said to Rashid, her voice a much more malevolent tone. "I know it's you, Hideaki Reed! So, your spirit lives on inside this boy!"

"Again, I haven't the faintest." Rashid said in a confused manner.

Rashid turned slowly and walked away from the girl.

"Don't you dare walk away from me, Hideaki Reed!" the girl yelled at Rashid.

Things were beginning to get ugly as the girl transformed into Vor.
