Chapter 3: Twisted reality
The school day was about to end. Libby really wanted to go home... She just couldn't stand a single second here. She just wished this week to finally be over, so she could enjoy her summer with her friends and girlfriend. The bell finally rang.
''Okay class, have a good day!'' The teacher said.
Libby got up, but everyone else refused to get up. Then they all started to stare at Libby. She was little confused what was happening... Then, she saw the teacher was smiling at her...
''Um... What's going on?'' Libby asked.
''Everyone, except you Libby... You are not going anywhere...''
The moment Libby heared that voice... She ran away, as fast as possible. The hallway was dark... Too dark. She was hearing voices in her head, but she didn't payed any attentiont to them. She just wanted to get out og here...
''Come here Libbyyyyyyyyy''
The moment Libby finally reached the exit... She tried to open the door, but it was locked... She realized, she is stuck here with whatever that thing was.
''You can't escape from me, Libby... I WILL FIND YOU, WHEREVER YOU ARE!''
Libby was so scared, she started to cry. She saw one door was open, so she immediately hid there. It was a dark hallway. At the end, there was another door, with the word ''Escape''.
That was the only chance she had to escape, so she started to walk towards the door. Suddenly, she started to feel strange cold chills... Which probably means, whatever was chacing her, it's probably close. She got scared from this, so she started to run and when she finally reached the door... Once again, it was locked.
''You think, you can escape that easy?''
''LEAVE ME ALONE!'' Libby screamed.
The shadow demon was at the beggining of the hallway. Seeing her red eyes and disturbing smile, made Libby sick...
''You are alone... AWAYS ALONE!''
Once again, Libby started to cry from fear. She realized, she is doomed. There is no way for her to escape... That thing will kill her.
''Please... Don't hurt me!'' Libby cried out.
''Mhmmmm... Let me think about it... NO!''
With unbelievable speed, the demon started to fly towards her. Libby started to scream, as she was watching how that demon was getting closer and closer...

Libby finally woke up from this nightmare... And just like yesterday, her eyes were in tears. Also, her secret demon wound was hurting like hell...
''Libby! Come on, you will be late for school!'' Leah said, outside the door.
''C-Coming, mom!''
As fast as she could, Libby changer her clothes, prepared her books and textbooks for today and was finally ready for school. Before she could open the door... She saw a shadow figure in the reflexion of her mirror...
''Aw, does someone have nightmares?''
Libby quickly turned around, but saw nobody is there... She also noticed something strange... When she looked at herself in the mirror, she noticed her teeth were sharper than usual...

Molly and Scratch were waiting outside the school for Libby. While they were waiting, a little cat appeared next to Molly. Normally, she will pet any cat she sees, but this time... She looked little scared from it. Scratch noticed that.
''Ugh, Moll calm down! It's just a cat. I already told you, skinwalkers have grey eyes... Besides, if that skinwalker was still in Brighton, it will still look like you''
''How am I supposed to be calm, when there is a deadly creature in town, WHICH LOOKS EXATCLY LIKE ME?'' Molly asked, scared.
''Jeez, relax kiddo. It has been some time since I saw it and no one has disappeared, or gone missing. Skinwalkers don't like to wait for that long. Whatever it was, it's probably already gone. Besides you know, I won't let any monster to even touch you!'' Scratch said.
Molly was starting to feel little better and she even petted the cat right next to her. At least, now she was feeling little safe with her best friend...
''Thanks buddy!'' Molly said, as she hugged Scratch.
That's when Libby finally appeared. The whole morning, she was feeling tired and... Still scared from the dream, she had last night.
''Libby! You are finally here!'' Molly said, as she released Scratch and hugged Libby.
''Good morning, Molly...'' Libby said, as she hugged her back.
The moment Molly hugged her... She felt how Libby was shaking from fear.
''Libby, are you ok?'' Molly asked, worried.
''Yeah... Perfect...''
''Come on, you two are gonna be late'' Scratch said.
Molly and Libby broke from the hug.
''Come on! Scratch... Are you sure you don't want to come?'' Molly asked.
After... The incident... Scratch refused to even look inside the school. Every time he was seeing those hallways... He was hearing the screams of all the kids and teachers, he killed after losing control over his corruption...
''Uhhhh... No... I have some stuff to do today, okay bye!'' Scratch said, as he opened a portal and left to the ghost world.

Libby and Molly were walking down the hallway, ready to enter their first class. When they were in front of the door... Libby stopped. She froze, when she saw the same shadow figure, at the end of the hallway...
''Ready for today?''
Libby had no idea what to do... She was right there... No one was seeing her...
''Libby''
She was praying in her head, this to be some kind of nightmare...
''LIBBY!''
Libby snapped out of this... And saw the shadow was gone.
''LIBBY!'' Molly shouted, with worried look on her face.
Libby had no idea what just happened... The demon was right there... She could swaer, it was there...

''Then I saw that piece of paper there'' Scrach said.
Scratch was with Geoff, in a ghost coffee shop. He thought, Geoff might know something about... The strange words ''Memento Mori''.
''That's usualy not a good sign, buddy. Normally... You know who... Haunts the ghosts and humans with those words, that are his targets'' Geoff said.
Scratch was now sure, he was in the grim reaper's list...
''Scratch... Have you seen him, in your dreams?'' Geoff asked, worried.
''Pfff, no. What could he possibly do to me? I mean... That paper, probably wasn't even meant for me...''

After 30 boring minutes, Libby was just waiting for the first class to be over. It was just boring as hell. Also the whole morning... Libby was feeling very cold. She had no idea why... And she was still trying to figure out, was that demon really there... Or she just imagined it?
''Libby! Are you even listening to me?'' The teacher asked.
''Uh, yes! I... Heared everything...'' Libby said, as she blushed.
The teached gave Libby a cold, angry stare and continued her lesson. Libby tried to focus... But she couldn't stop thinking about this...
''Now, as you know class, just because the school year is closer to the end, this doesn't mean you should not pay attention!''
Libby looked at her teacher... And what she saw, terrifyed her. The teacher became shadow... A dark shadow with red eyes, staring at her soul... Then one by one, every single student in the room, became a shadow. The room got darker, Libby's heart was beating faster than ever and she was breathing heavily...
''Libbyyyyyyyyyy''
Libby was on the verge to cry... This can't be real... This has to be some kind of sick joke...
''LIBBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY''
Her heart was now beating extremly fast. She also couldn't breath... And she couldn't even get up from fear... While Libby was trying to figure out a way, how to get out of here... Everything just came back to normall.
''Libby! Is everything ok?'' The teacher asked, worried.
Everyone in class was looking at her. She had no idea, what the hell was that... Is she going insane?
''Y-Yes... Everything is totally normal...''

Scratch was in his dollhouse, rethinking what was happening recently. It has been a while, since he had dreams about the grim reaper... Does that mean, he left him alone? If that's the case, how could he find that piece of paper, exatcly with those words writen on it?
''Scratch! Come here!'' Sharon shouted, outside the door.
He didn't know how, but for now he really didn't even wanted to think about it. He flew downstairs and saw Sharon, holding a bowl of strawberries.
''Huh? For who are those?'' Scratch asked.
''For you. Since... The disappearance of the whole ice cream, Molly gave me a good idea. No more desserts for you!''
''WHAT?''
''Well of course, we won't let you without anything. Since you also need to eat more healthy, me and Molly decided you can eat strawberries for dessert. You love them anyway, right?''
''Well... Yeah they are nice, but... Is that all I get for dessert? Strawberries?'' Scratch asked.
''Yep. No more unhealthy food! You are put on a diet... Like it or not. Again, It was actually Molly's idea''
Scratch couldn't believe, Molly would do something like that. Just when he got his taste back, he is now forced to not eat his favorite foods?
''She can't just decide to put me on a diet!''
''It's not her, Scratch. Me, Pete, even Darryl. We all decided, that you have to go on diet... Especially after... The incident...''
Scratch knew, they do it for his own good. But he didn't like it at all... But of course, if that will at least make his ectoplasm stronger, he decided to give this diet a chance.
''Fine... I can give it a try...''

It has been few hours, since... What happened in the classroom. Libby had no idea, what was going on with her. The whole... She was seeing this shadow demon. Every dark corner, every class, every time she was alone... She was scared what could happen next.
''Libby? Come on, we are gonna be late for class!'' Molly said.
''Oh, uh... Sorry...''
Molly knew there was somethig wrong with Libby. She noticed how scared she looked. And after what happened earlier, she was now sure something isn't right.
''Libby, what's wrong? You have been... Jumpy... The whole day'' Molly said, worried.
''N-Nothing to worry about... I'm fine! Also... I need to go to the bathroom... Can you come with me?''
''Well of course, but let's be fast. Or else, we are really gonna be late''
As the two friends were walking to the bathroom... Libby was hearing some strange voices in her head. Howver, she didn't payed any attention to them... But she was starting to shake from fear.
She went inside the bathroom, did her job and started to wash her hands, while Molly was waiting for her outside. She was still thinking over... Everything that has happening today.
''Having hard time?''
Libby froze when she heared that voice. She turned around and saw the shadow demon...
''I... I don't understand anything... Wh-What do you want from me?'' Libby asked, scared.
The demon was staring at her, with the most terrifying red eyes and red smile...
''To help you... To make you stronger...''
When she said this, Libby's eyes became red and her teeth got sharper. She realized, what was happening.
''N-No... This can't be happening... I'm not a monster!'' Libby said, as she started to cry.
''Aw, is somebody scared? No need to... BECAUSE SOON, EVERYONE WILL BE SCARED FROM YOU!''
The whole bathroom was now dark... Libby started to step back...
''I... I'm not scared from you!''
''Really? Don't worry... You will be...''
Libby opened the door, expecting to see Molly... However, there was only a shadow with the most haunting smile, she has ever seen...
''Libby? Is everything ok?''
The hallway was also dark... And all the teachers and students were gone... There were only shadows with creepy smiles...
''Libby?''
Once again, she started to cry, realizing how many of those shadows are here. She started to run towards the exit, while all the shadows were watching her, with their creepy looking smiles. She was running, desperate to get out from here... Desperate to escape this nightmare... And a shadow appeared right in front of her and she slipped, and fall on the ground...
The shadows were watching her, as she tried to get up... But she couldn't. She was just on the ground, as her heart was beating faster than ever and she couldn't even breath. It was so dark... And all those shadows surrounded her... That was the most terrifying experience in her life...
''LIBBY!''
All of them were watching her... All of them, had those disturbing smiles... She was feeling, how she was on the verge to faint... When one of those shadows, just hugged her...
''It's okay... Everything is gonna be okay, just breathe!''
Everything came back to normall... All the students were watching confused and worried. Molly and Andrea were also there, and they were more worried than everyone else. A woman was hugging Libby, trying to calm her down... She was the school's psychologist.
''Calm down sweetie. Please, just try to breathe''
Libby's heartbeat was finally back to normal and she calmed down. She had no idea, what the hell was all of this... It all felt so real... Those shadows were there... She could swear on her life, they were all there...
''Come on everyone, go to your classes! Give them some space, come on!'' One of the teachers said.
Everyone was going to their classrooms, however Molly and Andrea stayed. There was just no way for them, to leave Libby like that.
''Come on sweetie, you have to come in my office. I will call your mom'' The psychologist said.
Libby still had no idea, what happened. Was she going insane? Is she sick, or something? She didn't know why this was happening... But she sure knew, she would never forget all those shadows... And their disturbing smiles...
