Rewriting: App Monsters: Drive Season 01 Episode 02
We start at that house that we'd seen him running towards at the end of the last episode and hear what sounded like possibly fighting going on and zoom in to see Haru fighting a wooden puppet that had strings on their arms and legs that moved around like a person. He'd been outside with a man who's hair had been shoulder length and some of it had been braided and then held together with a hairband in the back.
"C'mon you can do better than that. Show me the power of your Digisoul." The man stated in a voice that sounded familiar. It'd been the same as the second guy who'd talked to Haru over the phone yesterday.
Haru squeezed his hands tight as the black and green data code appeared around them like when he'd tried the day before and he'd punched the training dummy with it being knocked back onto the ground going limp. "How was that Uncle Marcus?" He'd questioned the red haired man.
"Not bad kid. You're getting better since you got that new buddy of yours." The man stated in respose.
"Hey you two, food's ready. Get cleaned up and come eat." A blond man who sounded like the first guy on the phone from yesterday called out to them.
"Sure thing Uncle Thomas." Haru called back going to clean himself up and wipe off all the sweat and stuff from himself.
After Breakfast the two older men had to head off to go do their job and Haru helped out by cleaning up the dishes for them before heading on out with Gatchmon being excited to see all the new stuff around in the human world that was all around them. Soon they'd come up to a building with Gatchmon reading off the information on the place.
"Oh this is the bookstore that doubles as the house of your classmate Ai right?" Gatchmon questioned reading the information.
"Ya, I like going here to find new interesting stories to read. I've read all of the ones by Takeru Takaishi, believe it or not he's a relative of mine from a long time ago." Haru answered back about what they were doing there.
"Haru." A guy's voice spoke with the App Driver turning to see a guy with blue hair and coat that had been patched up looking exahusted.
"Watson? What happened to you?" He'd questioned surprised to see them looking like that and they'd gone in sitting at one of the benchest to talk.
"Thank you, the truth is I ticked off this terrifying dog. Last night I was heading back from cram school using a navigation app on my smartphone but it sent me all over the city and into a cramped alleyway and when I got to the other side there was this big dog that attacked me." The guy named Watson explained about what happened.
"So the navigation app malfunctioned.." He'd thought about the situation when a man with brown hair had come down some stairs.
"Oh hello there. What are you guys talking about?" The man questioned with Gatchmon looking through the magnafying glass he kept on his cap and reading the information showing that he was Ai's father.
"My Navigation app screwed up last night and I got attacked by a big dog." Watson explained to them about what they were discussing.
"Oh, come to think of it. I asked Ai to go shopping for some things, but she hasn't come back yet." He'd esplained surprising them. "She was heading for the store using her phone's navigation app."
"Hey Gatchmon, you it could be the same as Messmon?" Haru questions his Buddy who nodded in response.
We then cut to Haru running off to try to find out what's going on and make sure that his friend was okay, and his Buddy Appmon was speaking stating "It could be a Virus infected Appmon, we should search for the one responsible."
"Right but what kind of Appmon should we be looking for exactly? Navigation, or map layout, or something else?" Haru questioned as they were running to try to discover what's happening.
"Appmon are monsters based on smarphone apps, but if they're infected with the L-Virus they start doing bad stuff. The L-Virus comes from an evil big boss AI called Leviathan, he lurks deep in the sea of the net plotting ways to cause chaos in the human world." Gatchmon explained to his Buddy.
"Whoa seriously?" Haru questioned as he'd continued to run about the place trying to find out what happened to Ai.
"Ya, truth is before I met you my search skill caused me to uncover their plans." Gatchmon explained to them and they'd heard someone pull up on a moped.
The guy was talking on the phone explaining that the navigation app was making him drive around in circles and something poked out of the vehicle. "Gatchmon is that the one we're after?" Haru questioned his Buddy.
"Searching." They'd responded looking through their magnafying glass. "He's Navimon" They then explained getting their information.
"Indeed I am. In navigation apps I hide, Navigation apps I control." Navimon then stated to them about what they were doing. "Navimon is my name." After he'd stated that last part the Navimon then jumped off of a wifi signal icon and trying to escape with Haru and Gatchmon chasing after them.
"Let's try a deep search." Gatchmon spoke looking through his magnafying glass again "Whoa, Navimon's been causing lots of trouble for people."
"Come along, but only if you are prepared to battle me." Navimon called entering into an AR Field tear that was behind them.
"Gatchmon, are you ready to fight him?" Haru questioned his Buddy Appmon if they were ready to battle Navimon.
"Let's go. We can do it, because we're together." Gatchmon answered back ready to go in and fight against Navimon.
"Right, AR Field Open!" Haru then called out holding up his App Drive with the wheel and main screen lighting up and making the tear open around them completely taking himself and Gatchmon into the field to fight against Navimon now. "Whoa, it's like a Navigation Map now."
"Haru Realize me." Gatchmon spoke to his Buddy after navimon landed in front of them ready to battle against the two of them.
"Right, Appmon Chip Ready. Realize!" Haru spoke sliding down the wheel and putting Gatchmon's chip into the space before then sliding it back up "Realize!"
Navimon then charged forwards jumping into the air and spinning around calling "Navigation Arrow!" as he'd thrown something that stuck into Gatchmon's helmet. "Destination Set, homing!" They'd then called shotting out three spikes that looked like pencil tips but square while Haru and Gatchmon had to dodge it.
The attack had activated with a homing following blue dots onto the ground and began to chase around Gatchmon who was trying to escape them but was struck by the attack. "Gatchmon are you alright?" Haru called out to his Buddy.
"I'm fine. Haru activate Search." Gatchmon called out as the strange display from when they fought Messmon had appeared as well.
"Right, Navigation App, space, how to conquer it!" Haru spoke punching in the display of how to handle the Appmon now causing trouble in front of them.
"Search words confirmed." Gatchmon spoke as the words appeared written across the stripe on his helmet and he'd thrown his Magnifying Glass with it growing larger "Let's go into the sea of the net. Deep Search!" He'd then called shoving his claw into the glass and energy in the shape of his claw began moving along rail lines grabbing a multi-colored orb and pulling it out calling "Gatcha!" breaking it in his hand. "Search result, turn it."
"Turn Navimon, you mean?" Haru questioned about just how that clue was supposed to somehow help them defeat Navimon. "How do we do that?"
"Let's try the App Link. Use Messmon's chip and put them into the App Drive." Gatchmon answered back about how to do that.
"Right, Appmon chip Ready, Applink!" Haru called out doing just that as cables shot from the backs of both Gatchmon and Messmon who's just appeared and they'd been combined together with Messmon appearing behind Gatchmon in the form of energy creating multiple messages at once confusing Navimon as he couldn't decide which one to focus on.
"Ready, Spin!" Gatchmon then called out charging forwards and and blasting Navimon with the messages before grabbing them as they were running past and spun them around violently making them dizzy and unable to focus on what's going on. "Now's my chance, Gatch Claw!" He'd then called charging at Navimon and slicing through them with their claw covered in energy.
This made Navimon spew chunks and created energy circles around himself along with a timer that counted down from theree to one before exploding. "Ah, this air feels nice, like a fan after a hot bath." Navimon then stated a lot more relaxed now.
"Hey, I guess we did it huh Gatchmon?" Haru spoke seeing how Navimon was more calm now that it was over. "Guess we purghed the L-Virus from him." He'd then held up his App Drive and collected Navimon's data chip.
"How sad to be defeated so easily." Another Appmon spoke looking down from them atop one of the digital buildings.
"Just who are you?" Haru questioned looking up at the new Appmon that arrived and was now watching them.
"Me, I'm Caméramon. My surveillance of you has given me all the data that I need." The Appmon answered back and began shooting at them before jumping down to fight. He'd then created a bright flash to keep Gatchmon from being able to search any weaknesses as he was going over. "Now I will collect the data of the broken down Gatchmon."
"No way, I won't let you have him. "Appmon chip Ready, Applink!" Haru called out putting Navimon's chip into his App Drive and activating the Applink function. This caused Gatchmon and Navimon to fuse together into a new form.
"Dogatchmon!" The new form called itself standing at the ready prepared to fight against Caméramon surprising them. "Caméramon. Your destiny, your destination. I've already searched them!" He'd then called gesturing towards himself.
