Rewriting: App Monsters: Drive Season 01 Episode 05
Haru had been watching Eri alongside Gatchmon and Dokamon as she'd introduced herself to the audience for a food review segment as a part of her idol job, and her first dish was something called a luxury chestnut parfait at a famous resturant. She'd taken a spoonful and we see part of it had fallen onto the table with her putting the spoon in her mouth.
"Oh, it's quite tasty isn't it?" Eri had stated about the flavor of the dish while the others had seen how nervous she was about the whole thing and she'd dropped her spoon by accident quickly grabbing it. "There's a lot of things in the cream and.. um.." Ya she was starting to draw a blank of what she should be saying. "Oh the Texture is cold and very soft and um.."
"I can't watch this anymore." Haru spoke slipping away into an empty room before putting a chip into his App Drive "Messmon Realize." He'd called summoning the messenger appmon. "Hey, can you put me into Eri's headset?"
"Of course. I can do that. Quite easily." The three heads of Messmon answered back taking turns talking to him and then connected them through. "Alright. You're good. To go."
"Eri, can you hear me?" He questioned peeking through the door and she'd giving a surprised look so he figured she did. "Just repeat after me."
"Sorry everyone even us Idols can get nervous sometimes." Eri spoke before taking a deep breath and took another spoonful and biting into it before then adding "The flavors are delicious, and the texture feels like a mix of regular icecream and softserved. It's just the right texture for anyone wanting a cool treat on a hot summer day. The Chestnut flavor is also delicious but doesn't overwhelm the flavor either. You want a real doka punch to your tastebuds it's a must try for sure."
"Aaand Cut, great job Eri." The director called with everyone cutting the filming and everyone sighed in relief.
"Thanks for the help Messmon, time to have a rest." Haru then stated to the Appmon who nodded and returned to the App Drive returning to chip form and he then put it into the band on his wrist.
Once that was over Eri had found Haru and questioned "How did you do that? The review went great, have you done reviewing before?"
"Well, I used a Messenger Appmon to tap the feed into your ear piece, as for reviewing I've done that once. My uncle Thomas taught me how to nonsense my way through a review." He explained to them. "I don't think I could help you again though that was stressful and I don't wanna get caught."
"Good call, maybe we can find someone who can actually help with doing reviews. Do you think your Uncle Thomas could help?" Eri questioned about getting help to do reviews.
"Sadly no, both he and Uncle Marcus are out of town for a wedding overseas and won't be back for at least a week. What if we found someone who's good at reviewing online, Gatchmon can you find anyone?" Haru explained to them about them being out of town.
"Searching. Oh, how about Perorimon? They're a gourmet appmon who writes all kinds of food reviews, maybe they can help." Gatchmon answered back looking through his magnafying glass and suggesting they find a specific appmon to help them.
"If it's possible to help." Eri spoke looking for anything with Perorimon and discovered their app icon on a page making them pop out and be revealed as a fat little creature with a wide mouth and large tongue. "Eh, there's something gross about his mouth."
"I'm Eri's buddy appmon Dokamon." Eri's appmon partner spoke going over to Perorimon to say hello to them but was ignored.
Eri then pushed Dokamon out of the way saying "It doesn't matter to me if you're an appmon or not, I need to learn how to be able to make good food reviews. Can you help me?"
"Okay but not for free." Perorimon stated in response "Realize me and then feed me something tasty, then I'll help you."
"Sure thing." Eri spoke agreeing to that as Haru recieved a call from someone and wandered off with Gatchmon for whatever reason they had to go. "We should probably go too before we start, people will freak out of I sent an Appmon out here."
Once they'd gotten to her apartment and they were the only ones there Eri had then proceeded to put Perorimon's chip into her App Drive and Apprealize him. We then see her starting to cook with Perorimon stating "I've always wanted to try this dish. Oh and I want Worchester and Kansai-style danish for my sauce." before then putting his hands together and sitting there.
"Uh.. what are you doing?" Dokamon questions the Gourmet Appmon about just what he was doing now.
"Hunger is the best seasoning, we must empty our minds along with our stomachs." Perorimon explained, and then Dokamon nodded and began trying to do the same.
"Alright it's done, the elite Eri's special takoyaki." Eri spoke putting it all onto the table and it looked.. really bad honestly.
Perorimon picked up the tool used for eating the stuff but then after a moment put it down stating "Forgive me but this is nothing at all like the Takoyaki I ordered. Half of them are burnt on the outside, and the other half are more like half-cooked octopus dumplings. Eating these would warp my stomach and fill me with regret."
"How can you know how they taste if you don't even eat them?" Eri questioned about Perorimon's statement.
"But I do know you see, I have never before eaten food. The sea of the net is overflowing with people's thoughts about their food, I eat that food data and learn from it. Using that Data I can ascertain the flavor of anything based purely on the images from the resturant or menus with an almost one hundred percent accuracy." The Gourmet Appmon explained to them about how he does what he does.
"Writing resturant reviews without ever even trying the food is cheating!" Eri yelled at the Gourmet Appmon because he was speaking ill of her cooking without even trying it.
"Resturant reviews are my soul, if you don't like it you don't have to read them." Perorimon stated opening the door and then reverting back to chip form before flying off.
Eri had laid on her bed upset and began scrolling through different reviews and the such with them disappearing as she's trying to read and Haru had called her. Once she'd answered the phone Haru questions "Eri, have you seen the news?"
Dokamon turned on the tv with a news anchor stating "We see there's city wide data erasures with data being deleted from various services all over the net. We urge you all to back up your data immediately.
"I've checked the scanners and there's nothing on the Digimon side, which means an Appmon is the most likely culprit." Haru stated to them about what he thinks is going on.
"I think it's my fault Haru." Eri stated over the phone "Perorimon told me he eats data instead of trying the food and I told him that was cheating so he flew off. What if he's eating the data of everything else now?"
"If he is then we'll have to stop him. We'll meet up and work together to try to find him." Haru answered back and Eri nodded handing up the phone.
We then cut to later with Gatchmon and Dokamon looking around a crowded area as the latter questions "I don't see Perorimon anywhere, what about you Gatchmon?"
Pulling down the magnafying glass to look through it Gatchmon then responds "Nothing, he hasn't posted a new review anywhere on the net."
"It's hard to believe a Gormet like Perorimon would eat data without any thought to what kind it is." Eri stated not sure just what the heck is going on.
"It's possible that the L Virus got to him." Haru stated to Eri as they continued to look around for any signs of Perorimon.
"There, it's a AR Field gap." She'd then pointed out over towards a contstruction site area and they'd run off to find out what's going on there.
"Let's go, AR Field open!" Haru called using his Appdrive to open up field as it got wider and spread out until it had closed itself behind them now having them inside the AR field again. The place had been filled with a bunch of stuff laying around along with a weird telephone thing with an eye looking around as it was ringing. "It's like a grbage dump."
"These are all empty data packages." Gatchmon stated to them looking around at the stuff just piled up without any thought to it.
Suddenly some of the trash began to rattle around with Eri turning towards it questioning "Perorimon?"
"I retrieve trashed data, I delete garbage data." The Appmon spoke coming closer to them looking like pink sludge inside a trashcan.
"That's not Perorimon, time to search." Gatchmon spoke looking through his magnafying glass and reading the information on them "Gomimon, an appmon with the power to erase data."
"Then the one deleting the data and upsetting everyone, is Gomimon?" Eri questioned with Gatchmon nodding in response.
They heard more rustling and say Perorimon looking scratched up reaching out saying "Give back my resturant review data!" and had fallen off of where he was sitting on with Eri and Dokamon coming over to help him up. "He's putting my resturant reviews in the grbage can."
Gomimon took the review data and shoved it into the trashcan part of their body and began spnning it around shredding the information stating "Time to empty out the trash!" and began laughing once he'd done so.
"If it's something important to people, you can't just treat it like trash. We're gonna knock you to the ends of the universe for that!" Eri then stated standing up alongside Dokamon ready to fight.
"I wanna get revenge for my reviews, I'll join you in this battle." Perorimon spoke in response standing up alongside them.
"Then let's Applink and take them down." Dokamon suggested with Pirorimon nodding returning to chip form and going into Eri's App drive.
"Appmon chip ready, Applink!" Eri then called as she'd used her Appdrive to combine the two with Dokamon and Perorimon having cables appear from their back and stick to one another as the two began to spin around in a circle made of energy before taking on a new form.
"Doskumon!" The new Appmon spoke calling out their name as they appeared like Dogatchmon would have done. "I am the App Fusion of Dokamon and Perorimon, prepare for your defeat Gomimon!"
"Doskumon, wow, he looks strong." Eri stated about the new form that her Appmon Buddy had managed to take on.
"Guess I'll have to take out some oversized garbage!" Gomimon stated ready to fight against them not being impressed. "I'll delete you!"
"Take this, right to your swelled up Stomach." Doskumon spoke activating the jets on his back and taking a stance ready to lauch and then charging forwards calling "Jet Palm Slap!" striking Gomimon with their open palm sending them flying backwards into a wall.
Eri got an appmon chip for Doskumon that was black and white as they'd split apart after the battle was over and Gomimon spewed out data chunks before coughing out an orb and the data formed rings around their body that counted down from three to one and Gomimon had appeared golden in color and then was absorbed into Eri's Appdrive with the information appearing stating that they were a Seven Code Appmon and specifically were Code Three.
"Whoa, another Seven Code." Haru spoke seeing that and Gatchmon pulled out the pad from under his helmet.
"We can put the chip in here, once we get all seven we can find and defeat Leviathan!" Gatchmon explained letting Eri put it into the right spot on the pad.
