Rewriting: App Monsters: Drive Season 01 Episode 08
Haru's group were once more at his Uncles' house and were sitting around discussing something with a serious look about them as they seemed to be in thought as the seven code tablet was sitting on the table in front of them. Ropuremon and Gomimon were both sitting atop their chips alongside the three Buddy Appmon also doing the same and seemed to have been talking about something.
"Well, what do you guys think?" Haru questioned Eri and Astora about if whatever they were discussing would be a good idea or not.
"Well, we got the invite from a Seven Code Appmon named Mailmon." Ropuremon stated to them about the idea.
"If we can find the other Seven Code Appmon there I say we go." Astora stated about what he thought about this invite.
"I agree, and if it is a trap then we can take down whoever sent it." Eri then added about her thoughts on going to this meetup too.
"Then it's decided, we'll go, but we need to be cautious." Haru agreed with them about going to the meetup too.
Once it was decided they'd gone to the location and opened up an AR Field finding a mansion there in it's place with Mailmon at the door to greet them dressed as a multi armed mail carrier and he'd started to lead them off to the roof. Once there the pool started to heet up creating a mist of sorts and the group were prepared for a fight.
"Welcome, the real party starts now." A voice spoke as two figures appeared, one of them was an Appmon in a hood and cloak while the other was a human in a hoodie holding an App Drive in his hand.
"Who are you, do you work for Leviathan?" Haru questioned just who this guy was that had appeared before them now.
"I'll search for more answers!" Gatchmon spoke looking thorugh his magnifying glass only to get an error result instead. He'd looked confused before seeing a cable that had been retracting into the tip of the other Appmon's clawed finger.
"I've hacked your search ability." The Appmon stated to them as the cable retracted completely back into his finger tip.
"Well, it won't hurt to tell them. My name is Rei." The guy in the hoodie stated to them from where he was standing.
"And I am Hackmon, we'll be taking your Seven Code Appmon now." The Appmon standing beside the Rei guy stated as one of the eyes on his hood had started flaming.
"We won't give you the Seven Code Appmon! Guy's let's do this!" Haru called out as the others nodded in response.
"Appmon Chip Ready, App Fusion!" The three all called out together as their Appmon Buddies once more became Dogatchmon, Dosukomon, and Mediamon.
"That's cute, now it's my turn." Rei stated to them showing them an Appmon Chip with Hackmon being drawn into it "Appmon Chip Ready." He'd spoken sliding down the black ring on his Appdrive. "Super Apprealize!"
"Raidramon! Now I'll show you what Super hacking can do." The Super Appmon spoke ready to fight them off and stabbing his tail into the ground making it launch the other three Super Appmon into the city below them and charged after them.
Raidramon was throwing them around like Ragdolls as the others ran to try to help their partners however they'd been pretty badly hurt and their attacks didn't seem to do anything to Raidramon at all. "Double Hacking." Rei called as two virtual keyboards apepared in front of them and his partner was able to easily tank their attacks before blasting the three hard enough to knock them back to their Standard Grade Forms before then taking their Seven Code Appmon.
"Rei, give back the Seven Code Appmon!" Haru called out however the young Hacker simply turned and walked away ignoring them.
"Why do you even want the Seven Code anyway?" Eri questioned Rei about why he's doing all of this.
"Well now this is interesting." A voice spoke and they'd turned to see another Super Grade Appmon wearing a mask and holding a fan creating a grid around the group.
"Who are you?" Haru questioned this new Appmon that appeared ready to fight against them trying to kick the group while they were down.
"I am Sakusimon, and I'll be taking your Appdrives now." The Appmon stated telling them their name pointing a hand fan at them.
Before they could say more Raidramon charged in and attacked Sakusimon making the grid vanish with Rei stepping next to where they'd landed demanding "Where. Is. Hajime!?" in a serious and angry tone that was more a demand than a question.
"Well well, wouldn't you like to know. Sorry but that's classified information." Sakusimon stated vanishing into the floor with Rei and Raidramon both letting out a scream of frustration.
"Wait, who's Hajime?" Astora questioned confused as to what's going exactly not sure what to make of the situation.
"Hajime is Rei's younger brother." Raidramon spoke up but Rei had looked mad that he'd told them the information.
"Don't tell them that, it's not like explaining things to them would benifit us in any way." Rei stated to his Appmon Buddy.
"You won't know unless you tell us." Haru stated to Rei who'd thought he heard something looking around surprised before then taking a deep breath.
"Fine, Hajime was my only family. We.. never knew our father. And two years ago we lost our mother too. Our extended family tried to separate us, so I learned to hack the registry information so that we could keep living together. We chose to face life together, him and me." Rei stated to them about his life with his little brother. "Then one day I found a mysterious message on the net. In that moment I had fallen into the trap of the people who were after Hajime. We went to the finish line location and he was taken by Leviathan."
"So you want to find out where Hajime is with the Seven Code Appmon in order to face Leviathan and get your brother back." Gatchmon spoke about the situation they're in.
Rei then nodded and continued to explain "It was my fault that Hajime was taken. Because I got too close to Leviathan. To try to save Hajime I tried hacker networks that were said to be dangerous. Then I learned a remarkable truth, Hajime was alive in the net. I found the footage of him being digitized. I plan to find him, no matter what."
"We're fighting Leviathan just like you, why don't you guys join us. We can find your brother together." Haru stated to Rei about teaming up to defeat Leviathan and save his brother.
Suddenly a red see through box appeared and taken Rei and Raidramon to Sakusimon who'd been floating above a red line grid pattern. "You've gotten too close to Leviathan." The Super Grade Appmon stated making a video of a kid appear who was crying for their big brother.
"Hajime!" Rei called and charged towards the video being zapped by a trap under the space on the grid.
Back with the others they'd seen this as their chance to escape, however Haru refused to do so. "You're right that this is our chance to escape but.."
"You're going to try to save Rei even after what happened aren't you?" Eri questioned the leader of their group.
"I can't let Eri be put into danger!" Dokamon stated about how bad that was going to be if they stayed.
"We should go while we can." Musimon agreed about leaving while they still had the chance to actually do so.
"That guy just beat the tar out of us and you wanna go rescue him!?" Astora questioned frustrated about the idea of going to help.
"Yes, I'm not going to ask the rest of you to join. But I think wanting to rescue him is the right way to feel." Haru stated back to his team.
"Well.. that's true." Eri stated about how they should want to try to save people instead of just trying to escape.
"But how are we supposed to help anyway? Our Buddies are still recovering and that guy was able to snatch Rei and Raidramon like it was nothing." Astora questioned just what they were supposed to do.
"Maybe so, but those who stand for what's right always win in the end!" Haru stated tightening his fist as a black and green energy that moved around like fire but looked like binary code had appeared surrounding his fist.
"Right, Haru! That's why you're my Protagonist Buddy!" Gatchmon spoke jumping up onto Haru and standing across his shoulders on all fours.
"That's right, I decided I was gonna be the Protagonist when you and I became Buddies." Haru stated remembering what the Appdrive said and turned to walk to find Rei walking off with Gatchmon beside him.
"If you're the Protagonist then I'm the Idol at the center of the universe." Eri stated choosing the follow alongside Dokamon.
"I gotta go along to Protect Eri, count me in too." Dokamon stated to them joining in walking alongside his Human Buddy.
"We're walking into a doomed battle, talk about crazy." Astora spoke walking on the other side of Haru along with Musimon.
Meanwhile Raidramon had tried to hack into the ground with his tail and began to turn to stone as Sakusimon began to laugh stating "That's check." as he then put a ring of fire around Rei. Raidrmon struggled and managed to break free from the stone and flew off through the fire grabbing Rei and landing on another tile with Sakusimon continuing to state "You should stay away from him for your own good."
Raidrmon had let out a scream as black and red energy zapped him and reverted back to chip form with Rei then running over and grabbing them before he could be taken. One of the pannels then stuck up out of the ground with energy tendrils grabbing Rei and pulling him to it before zapping him with the same energy Raidramon had been zapped by. When Sakusimon was preparing to attack a powerful beam had shot out from the side making them have to dodge it and move away from Rei as Haru had shown up alongside DoGatchmon.
"Rei, are you alright?" Haru questioned after catching his breath as they'd stood just outside the grid so the traps couldn't affect them.
"Wait, Haru? You actually came to save us?" Rei questioned surprised that he was there to try to save them.
"I'm impressed that you were able to find me." Sakusimon stated and waved his fan which had blown away Mediamon and Dosukomon along with their Human Buddies. "But you'll have a more difficult time defeating me."
"I'm a Super Search Appmon. Finding you was easy!" DoGatchmon stated charging at them using two of his pointers like swords to charge at the enemy Appmon.
"Please, what can you weaklings do against me exactly? You're wasting your time saving a black hat hacker like him." Sakusimon told them as he and DoGatchmon were fighting.
"You think we're weak?" Haru then called charging at the stone while igniting that burning energy around his fist again. "Then I'll show you just how strong we are with the power of my DigiSoul!" He'd then struck the stone behind Rei and shattered it with the energy surprising everyone that he'd done thbat so easily. "You alright Rei?"
"You just.. with your fist.." Rei spoke unable to process just what Haru had done just now, nor could he understand that strange energy.
"C'mon, you really wanna lose to that jerk?" Haru questioned holding out his hand and helping Rei to stand up before adding "Let's beat that jerk once and for all!"
Rei stared at Haru for a moment seeing how he was able to free him by shattering the stone and hearing that he now wanted to work together to beat them. Finally he'd made a decision and nodded dropping Raidramon's chip into Haru's hand. "I want that back." He'd then stated to Haru with a look of determination.
Nodding Haru then called out "Appmon Chip Ready, App Link!" sliding down the wheel on his Appdrive and putting Raidramon's chip into the slot before sliding it back up and pressing the link button on the side.
DoGatchmon and Raidramon had flown towards each other with the cables coming out of them and sticking together before they'd become a ring of energy and then reappeared as DoGatchmon with energy in the shape of Raidramon behind him now. "No need to search, I'm hacking your future!" Dogatchmon called as Raidramon was absorbed into him and he'd sprouted Raidramon's wings and created a sword with a blade that looked like a key with teeth cut into it.
"Oh no you don't!" Sakusimon called making a bunch of the pannels turn solid red as he was planning to do something with them. Unfortunately for him however DoGatchmon stabbed the key sword into the ground and dissappated the whole grid completely.
"You're going to tell me everything you know about Hajime!" DoGatchmon spoke flying up to be eye level with Sakusimon who turned tail and ran. "No matter where you go your destination is already searched." He'd then stated once he'd flown to cut off their route.
DoGatchmon then began to bat around Sakusimon striking him from all directions as he was sent flying every which-a-way before being slammed back into the ground at Haru and Rei's feet running them through with the key sword "Give me all the information you have!" He'd demanded turning it and zapping them with purple energy.
All kinds of different information appeared alongside a video of a young boy crying and an L appeared on the screens making them start to vanish. "Someone's trying to erase all my data, can it be.. Leviathan?" Sakusimon questioned about being erased like that.
"Hajime, Hajime, Hajime!" Rei called out to the video screen as the kid stopped crying and looked towards the voice.
"Big brother?" The kid questioned before the screen had been forcibly closed out and Sakusmon let out a scream of pain and vanished. DoGatchmon then changed into energy and two beams shot out one was Raidramon's chip that had returned to Rei's band on his wrist, the other went to haru's wrist band and that was DoGatchmon's chip which had gone from black and white to fully colored in now.
Once all that was over Rei had started walking off but thrown the Seven Code Appmon Chips over to Haru stating "Those are all the Seven Code found so far. Put it to good use."
