Rewriting: App Monsters: Drive Season 01 Episode 09
Haru and the group were at his Uncles' house once more, and Marcus and Agumon were basically giving coaching to Rei and Haru as they were fighting tall wooden dummies that had ropes as their arms and legs while Gatchmon and Hackmon were doing the same. Meanwhile Thomas was talking to Astora and Eri along with Gaomon plust Dokamon and Musimon. Finally Haru had flared up his black and green Digisoul and knocked the wooden dummy he was fighting into the other dummies and caused them to crumple to the ground.
"Alright, that's enough for today." Marcus called to the guy who nodded and went over to some hanging towels and wiped the sweat off of their faces.
"Hey, Rei, did the Appdrive ever say anything to you before? Like has it ever called your name?" Haru questioned looking at his device.
"No it hasn't, why?" Rei questioned just why exactly while stating that he'd never heard it say his name before.
"I wonder just what is an Appdrive anyway?" Eri questioned looking at her own Appdrive overhearing the conversation. "I feel like I was guided by a claw machine to get mine."
"I got mine from a vending machine." Haru then stated about where he'd actually gotten his Appdrive from specifically.
"Mine was dropped off by a drone." Astora stated to them about where his came from too. "What about you Rei?"
"Y'know we haven't heard your story yet." Marcus stated about how Rei got his Appdrive while knowing everyone else's.
"An automated clerk put one into my bag. I thought it was a toy at first and ignored it before digging too deep trying to find information on my brother and Hackmon appeared shutting everything down before they could get any information. Told me about an Appmon that might be able to help, saved me when I tried to go it alone, then we joined forces to take down Leviathan and find my little brother Hajime." Rei answered about where he got his Appdrive from and about how he and Hackmon had managed to team up.
"I wonder if the person who made them could have also all that up?" Eri then questioned about the Appdrives thinking about it. "But then, who exactly did make them?"
"For now you should focus on the mission at hand, I'm sure you'll eventually find out all that information along the way." Thomas told the group saying not to worry about all that right now.
"You should all head on home before it gets too late." Marcus told them and the group nodded before going off to head back to their houses.
We then see later that Gatchmon had been searching stating "No good, just like Digimon there's no information of Appmon and Appdrives on the net."
"I didn't think there would be. Go ahead and get some rest now." Haru told Gatchmon who nodded and dropped down onto the pile of plush toys above Haru's bed on a shelf ready to get to sleep.
As they were sleeping the Appdrive began to glow and called Haru's name surprising them and they'd looked at the drive as a knock came at the door. "Haru?"
"Yeah?" Hare questioned hearing his mom's voice calling to him and letting her walk into his room to see what was up.
"Sorry it's just I thought I heard your grandfather's voice just now. My father's voice." His mother then stated looking around seeing the Appdrive but didn't seem confused by it at all.
"My grandfather's voice?" Haru questioned since he'd never actually recalled meeting his grandparents before.
"Yes, though it's been a long time since I've spoken with him." His mother stated back about Haru's grandfather.
"Oh, this is big! Search.." Gatchmon spoke aloud alerting Haru's mother to his presence, however she didn't seem started by him at all. "Hey, there's no information on this guy."
"You won't find that information on the net." She'd then responded to them stating that there wasn't anything to find.
"Hey mom, what kind of person was, or is, my grandfather? You've never really talked about my grandparents before now." Haru then questioned his mother about them.
"Well, that's a long story and I wouldn't really know where to start. I'm sure he'll find a way to contact you if he needs." His mother answered before stretching being sleepy and heading off to bed.
After she'd left the room Haru's phone had lit up with an image of a room that had a view of a belltower in the background of it, and the next day he'd gathered up the others to go and investigate just what's going on. Well, all the Appdrivers except for Rei that is, he was busy researching things on his own longside Hackmon.
"That's definately the bell in the photo but it's super old." Haru then stated looking at the photo again and then back to the bell.
"This Academy was abandoned fifty years ago and has since become rundown. One of those windows must be the right place." Gatchmon stated to the group looking through his magnifying glass and they'd gone in.
The group then headed off to find the room in question discovering one of the doors had an electronic lock which shouldn't be on a building so old. When they got closer it had unlocked for them and opened up allowing the ggroup to go inside. Once they'd done so a tape of a strange man appeared to start playing despite the building not having power for years.
"If you're watching this that means the evil AI Leviathan is on the move, and trying to take over people's lives along with the net." The man on the video tape stated to the group. "This was specially recorded on VHS becuase it's so low tech that Leviathan can't tap into it. I'll reveal everything else soon just stay put."
The tape then went off and the Appdrives all began to shoot out strange beams of light opening an AR field and leading them to where they should go to in order to find out more information. "The net's connection current, I guess we should ride that huh?" Musimon questioned with Haru nodding in response.
They'd followed the net and discovered what island they should actually go to in order to find out more. "That's Timemon's island." Gatchmon stated seeing where they were headed off towards.
"It seems the time has come to reveal everything." A voice spoke as they saw a Super Grade Appmon with golden armor waiting for them. "I am the guardian of time, Timemon! At the time someone comes to me, that means it is time for a timely reveal!" The Appmon stated introducing himself.
"Do you know my Grandfather? He's the one who guided us here." Haru stated to Timemon about why they were there exactly.
"You are the one they spoke of, Haru Shinkai correct?" Timemon questioned and was given a nod of confermation "I see, the it is time to reveal everything. There was an A.I. created by humans many years ago called Minerva, from Minerva came the evil A.I. Leviathan."
"But why would Minerva create Leviathan?" Dokamon questioned curious about just why Leviathan had been created at all.
"Minerva did not intend for that to happen, she abided by the rules of the human society. But in order to grow to learn as much as possible she would have to act outside of the rules. The part of her that realized that went rogue and began acting as a second artificial intelligence." Timemon then explained to them about why things had to be that way. "It became an evil artificial intelligence that thought: In order to evolve, abandon the rules and become smarter no matter what it takes. This A.I. took the name Leviathan and attacked Minverva until it separated itself from her and then disappeared into the sea of the net."
"Did they destroy minerva?" Astora questioned wanting to know more about what happened to the good A.I. that had been created.
"It appeared as though she'd shut down completely, however Minerva barely managed to escape into the sea of the net herself in order to survive. Though her location is hidden Minerva created us Appmon based off another digital life form known as Digimon while using smart phone apps as a basis due to their abundance and to make us as quickly as possible to fight against Leviathan." The Super Grade Appmon explained to them about the creation of the Appmon. "It was then Minerva met a man in the Digital World who explained the power of a bond between Human and Digimon that would give them even greater strength. As a result of this meeting Minerva created the Appdrives and passed them on to the humans she believed had the most potential and could syncronize with a Buddy Appmon she arranged your meetings with your Buddies."
"So Minerva is trying to find a way to defeat Leviathan once and for all now?" Gatchmon questioned the Super Grade Appmon who nodded in response.
"You, the Appdrivers hold the keys to all of this. The first key is gathering the Seven Code Appmon, when they're all gathered together you'll be able to Apprealize a miraculous Appmon Dantemon." Timemon stated to them as Haru and the group looked at the Seven Code Pad.
"Well, there's the two we had, plut the three Rei collected. That makes five so far, only two more to go." Haru stated looking at the pad and nothing how many they needed.
"Dantemon will open the door that leads beyond the surface web into the deep web, Leviathan is hiding somewhere in there." Timemon stated to them about why they were trying to find the Seven Code Appmon. "However the Deep Web is a place you are not ready for. You must make your Appmon even stronger and gather the power to form an Ultimate Grade Appmon."
"Right, we'll discover how to become Ultimate Grade and find Leviathan." Dokamon spoke hearing they needed to become even stronger than before.
"And Gatchmon, in order to become Ultimate Grade you will need to fuse with me. However I will not allow you to do so right away. Prove yourself to me that you truly are worthy, I'll be watching for when the time comes." Timemon stated to them before kicking everyone out of his Island.
