Rewriting: App Monsters: Drive Season 01 Episode 10
Haru was fighting the wooden dummy again with Rei as the App Drivers were all explaining about Timemmon and what he'd told them about Minerva, Leviathan, and about how Minerva created the Appmon specifically to fight against Leviathan too. Haru had made the strange green and black energy reffered to as his Digisoul flare up around his body before striking the dummy he was fighting and making them slame into the one fighting Rei making them both explode from the impact before then helping the latest recrut to the App Drivers up.
"Wow, looks like your Digisoul has reached near the same level as Mine and Thomas' Digisouls. You ever get a partner I bet you could skip straight to the same level as Victory Greymon and Z'd Garurumon." Marcus had stated throwing the two boys a couple of towels to wipe their sweat off.
"Now he just needs a Digimon partner, I'm not sure if the Digisoul could affect an Appmon or not." Thomas then added about the situation too.
"Sir, I've prepared your phone to download the new OS as you asked." Gaomon spoke bringing Thomas his phone. "The download will be taking place today."
"Um.. what's an OS?" Eri questioned looking at them and then to her own phone while she'd seemed to have confusion on her face.
"An OS stands for Opperating System, it's the thing that makes the phone work. Without the OS your phone might as well be an expensive paperweight." Hackmon explained to them about the OS.
"There are two main Smartphone Opperating Systems in the world right now, though some use their own third party system. The two main are the Waffle OS which holds the most users, and the L-OS." Rei then explained to them as well while wiping the sweat off of himself and putting his hoodie back on and started to leave with his Appmon Buddy. "Hackmon and I are gonna go check a few leads regarding Leviathan and see if we can find anymore Seven Code Appmon."
"Alright, it's just a few more minutes before the new OS update." Thomas stated as there was a countdown and once it was completed the installation all his apps and stuff turned purple and then images appeared that looked like a bunch of octopi in army style helmets and gasmaks. "What the?"
"Something wrong?" Marcus questioned about Thomas' reaction to whatever was happening to his phone at the moment.
"Look, do these things seem familiar?" Thomas spoke showing them the image on his phone of those weird things. "They don't seem like any Digimon I've seen."
"Hold on my phone's still working, there's a news report about what's happening." Astora stated showing them a video of a woman stating that there were reports worldwide of issues with Waffle OS 11 causing smartphones to freeze up.
"Virusmon." Gatchmon stated seeing the image on Thomas' smartphone as a hologram of the octopi looking appmon appeared from his phone.
"Big Bro, where are they all coming from?" Dokamon questioned looking over towards Gatchmon hoping they had an answer.
"I'm not sure, but this feels different from the usual Appmon Rampage." Gatchmon stated worried about what's happening.
"It is." Rei's voice spoke coming from Haru's Appmon Band and Haru lifted his hand up to hear them better. "Leviathan's subordinates have infected Waffle OS itself with the L-Virus, it was one of the leads we had to check out. Raidramon and I are here now."
"The only way to stop the infection is to destroy Waffle Corp's OS data in its sever island on the surface we" Raidramon was trying to add but their connection had been cut off.
"Hey, Rei, Raidramon, hello?" Haru questions when they'd been cut off from one another getting static before it then cut off the sound completely.
"Haru let's go to the surface web!" Gatchmon called and his human Buddy nodded and looked to the others who nodded as well.
"Good luck App Drivers, we'll keep watch out here in the human world just in case anything else goes wrong." Agumon spoke wishing Haru and the gang luck.
"Right, let's go." Musimon spoke taking the lead with everyone else following while Thomas took out his communications device to get into contact with the other stationed Savers to let them know what's up.
They'd then headed towards where they needed to go and dove into the net through an AR Field and found where they needed to go but the Waffle Corp's defenses began to attack them leaving purple smog from the large guns that were blasting at them.
"Whoa that's the L Virus!" Musimon spoke as he and Astora dodged one of the shots but continued to follow regardless.
"Be careful everyone, you App Drivers are data here too!" Gotchmon called out to the group as they continued their descent.
"If you touch the L-Virus you'll be infected just like we would!" Dokamon called out adding to the warning with he and Eri dodging the attacks.
The group finally managed to land on the island and Eri calls out "Haru we've all made it, you and Gatchmon go ahead while we handle the guns!"
"Right, let's go Gatchmon!" Haru then called to his Appmon Buddy who nodded and followed as the two began to race off inside the building.
They'd made it to the server room but a hidden launcher appeared out of the ground and started to shoot paint balls filled with the L Virus at them, though they'd managed to dodge it. "Haru, we gotta Super Appliarise and bust our way through by force!"
"Right!" Haru called holding up his App Drive and sliding the circle down to the bottom of the device. "Appmon chip ready!" He'd then called putting Dogatchmon's chip into the device before sliding the wheel back up. "Super Apprealize!"
"DoGatchmon!" Called out Haru's Appmon Buddy in their super form and then immediately threw one of their pointer indicators that was on its legs using it as a spear he'd caused it to crash through the hidden gun and destroyed it. "We did it!"
"About time, you finally made it?" Rei's voice spoke over the Appmon Band on Haru's wrist finally having connection re-established. "Raidramon and I can't get away from our current location because of the Virusmon, the server data is just down that hall. You'll have to destroy it yourself!"
As he said this a line indicating where they need to go appeared and both Haru and DoGatchmon began to follow it. The two busted through a wall and found a door at the end of the light leading their path and gone into it seeing a bunch of Virusmon floating around that immediately began trying to dogpile Dogatchmon wrapping theirselves around him from all angles.
"DoGatchmon, hang on try to shake them off!" Haru called climbing up onto the railing of where he was standing.
"I can't, there's too many of them." Dogatchmon stated to them as the Virusmon were starting to weigh him down and slowly drag him down towards where the L-Virus was strongest. "Haru, leave me here and go, get to safety." They'd called with their hand being the only thing his Human Buddy could see.
"Like hell I'm leaving you!" Haru then called as the shadow of an unknown Appmon appeared to be watching them from an upper window area and then immediately began to freak out when Haru flared up his Digisoul as strong as he could muster shattering the window as he jumped diving directly into the L-Virus to go save his friend. "DOGATCHMON!"
"I'm sorry Haru." Dogatchmon called as he was floating towards the bottom of the virus as if in water before hearing his partner's voice calling out to him and saw them dive in with their Digisoul flaring around them pushing him like a rocket down towards his Appmon Buddy. "Haru!?"
"DoGatchmon! I'm gonna save you I swear it!" Haru called swimming down like a torpedo to his Appmon Buddy. "C'mon, we're not beaten yet, Dogatchmon! I'm not giving up, and neither are you. Uncle Thomas and countless other people are counting on us, we can't be beaten by this Virus DoGatchmon!"
"Haru!" DoGatchmon called as they reached out and grabbed his hand with Haru's Digisoul flaring around not just himself, but now around DoGatchmon too burning away the L-Vrius from his body. "HARU! You're right, let's go kick their butts!"
"Right, let's do it together!" Haru called as a golden light appeared around the two of them alongside Haru's Digisoul and suddenly the two were floating in a strange space. "Where are we?"
"The Time has come, you've proven your conviction. I will now grant you the use of my power." Timemon stated appearing in front of the two of them. "I entrust my power to you now time for App Fusion!" He'd then told them going into Haru's App Drive to take the form of a chip.
"DoGatchmon ready?" Haru questioned looking at his Super Grade Buddy Appmon asking if he was ready for what would come next.
"Ya, let's do it!" DoGatchmon spoke ready to finally reach the Ultimate Grade and take down the Virusmon for good.
"Appmon chip ready, App Fussion!" Haru called using Timemon's chip which made them appear and a cable launched out from behind them along with one from DoGatchmon as they connected together and became a ring of energy with a timer counting from three to one before taking physical form. They were now taller with the pointers on their back with energy between them acting as wings.
"From Super to Ultimate, now the era of Appmon changes! Globe, global, globalization! I am the Appmon who stands at the center of the Earth. GLOBEMON!" The new Ultimate Grade Appmon Buddy of Haru called out revealing their name and we then see both Haru and Globemon launch out of the L-Vrius completely purged of the virus' influence. "Everything in thie world has already been searched!"
A display appeared from the Appdrive with the number 60 appearing on it and began to count down. "We've only got sixty seconds!" Haru then called to his Appmon Buddy.
"More than enough, it's merely one moment in the history of the world. But to me it's infinity." Globemon stated back hearing about their time limit. "Ultimate Search!" He'd then called out creating an energy that spread out all across the world targeting every single Virusmon all at once. "Terminals infected by the L-Vrius. Remaining Virusmon number is ninehundred twenty nine million four hundred thirty one thousand nine hundred and thirty seven of them." Globemon stated as a holographic number counter appeared with 929,431,937 appearing on it.
"Can you take them all out at once though?" Haru questioned worried about his Appmon Buddy and their time limit.
"Of course I can, now witness." Globemon stated as the radar on his chest began to light up before adding "The ultimate Glanz Gazer!" He'd then called unleashing the energy all at once as it wiped out every Virusmon in it's path before gathering at a point just above the Earth and then spread out like a scatter shot homing in on every other Virusmon that had been targeted all across the world as the virus counter was going down like crazy alongside the time limit slowly counting down as well.
"Faster, we gotta go faster!" Haru called out to his Ultimate Appmon Buddy telling them that they needed to speed up.
"I already told you, everything on earth has been searched!" Globemon called as the counter quickly moved down to having 000,000,001 left on the projection and he'd then made energy blades appear from his fist charging towards the Waffle OS icon that was also infected calling Schwert Cutter!" as he'd slashed the icon causing it to break and making the final virus count drop to 000,000,000 finally and the display then vanished along with Globemon as the coundown timer showed 00 on it leaving only Gatchmon trying to catch his breath with the chip then being absorbed into the App Drive.
"Gotchmon, you alright?" Haru questioned running over to his friend helping him to stand up and regain his footing.
"Ya, that just took alot out of me." Gotchmon stated to his Human Buddy while still trying to catch his breath.
"Brilliantly done. Continue to refine yourselves, and Ultimize your Ultimate Appmon." Timemon's voice called out to them as Globemon's chip floated up in front of Haru already in color.
"Ultimate Appmon, Globemon." Haru spoke taking the chip and looking at it surprised that it wasn't grey like DoGatchmon's chip was.
"Thanks Haru, you gave me the strength to not give up. And then even reach the Ultimate Grade, you really are the best Buddy an Appmon could ask for!" Gatchmon stated jumping up onto Haru's shoulder.
We then see that Rei had been watching from the shattered window alongside Raidramon and the former stating "Ultimate Appmon eh? Something else we'll need to look into. Let's go." and turned to leave with Raidramon nodding and following after him.
Well everything seemed to go back to normal except that almost everyone switched over to the L-OS. However Thomas and Marcus did not, nor did their families and friends that were in the know regarding what really happened when they were told that L Corp intentionally sent a virus to infect the Waffle OS.
