A few hours later;
After Amy's approach, Knuckles went to Sonics shack.
"Geez. I swear Sonic must've found out about the whole thing so he's probably getting back at us for wanting time away from him." Knuckles said 'laughing and assuming Sonic was getting revenge'.
He also assumed he got Scourge, Fiona, and Fang in on this.
"Okay. Time to talk to Sonic." Knuckles said as he was almost there to Sonics shack.
When he was at the entrance of the shack.
"Hey Son..." Knuckles said but his jaw dropped and eyes wide in shock.
He sees Seelkadoom on the couch with a sad Sonic. Seelkadoom was comforting Sonic 'who was crying his eyes out'.
"Seelkadoom?! What's he doing here?!" Knuckles said out loud but to his surprise, no reaction.
"I called Sonia just after we found them. She said for you to wait for her here. She will arrive in the morning." Seelkadoom said 'with a sympathetic expression and a sad and compassionate tone'.
"H-Have you gotten a hold of big bro?" Sonic asked.
"Manic hasn't respond yet but I left a message for him. So he'll probably be on time for the event." Seelkadoom said while petting Sonics head.
"Huh?" Knuckles asked in confusion.
"I can't believe Knuckles is gone." Sonic said 'covering his face while crying'.
"Huh?! Wait! Sonic I'm right here. Can't you see me?!" Knuckles said in shock.
No reaction.
"Also Sonic. Once the service is done and Eggman is gone forever more, you know what you haft to do." Seelkadoom said with a little serious tone.
"I know... I haft to go home." Sonic said as he sniffed while wiping his tears.
"Go home? But you are home." Knuckles said in confusion.
"How about I escort you home after this?" Seelkadoom asked as he placed a hand on his shoulder.
"No it's fine. I'll haft to go back with Manic and Sonia." Sonic said in a dull tone.
Knuckles gasped once he realized what he meant by 'going home'.
"What?! So soon?! Back to mobotropolis?! No! Sonic! No! You can't do that!" Knuckles shouted as he rushed to him.
But to his horror his hand through him as he tried to grab his shoulder.
"W-what the...?" Knuckles said as he was shocked. He gasped and backed away.
"Oh Gosh." Knuckles said 'stuttering'.
"C-Can I stay at your place for the night?" Sonic asked Seelkadoom.
"Sure thing. It's the least I can do." Seelkadoom said 'nicely but sadly'.
Knuckles was shocked more.
Once the two hedgehogs walked out of the shack.
"Wait! Sonic wait! I'm right here!" Knuckles shouted but no reaction.
"He can't hear you nor see you, I'm afraid." A familiar male voice whispered.
Knuckles sees no one there.
It was frightening even for him. But what was more frightening, Sonic not seeing and hearing him or that voice.
It sounded like Silver The Hedgehogs. But more serious.
