Rewriting: App Monsters: Drive Season 01 Episode 17
Rei had been inside a building with Hackmon as the two were looking through the stolen schematics that they were using to get around. "Alright, we're in. if anything goes wrong we'll need you guys to form a distraction for us." The former of the two stated into his Seven Code Band.
"Right, you just focus on saving Hajime." Haru's voice spoke through the band answering back to what Rei had stated.
"Security on the top level is extremely high. Take a look at this." Hackmon stated showing Rei camera feeds of robots roaming around.
"So Hajime is somewhere around there then? That'll make finding him a lot easier." Rei stated back to his Appmon buddy.
"Ya, the only downside is Leviathan could appear from any of the internet terminals. Be careful." Hackmon answered back telling him that Leviathan could try to show up to attack them.
"Right, Appmon chip ready. Inject Me." He'd spoken with a nod before realizing his Appmon buddy so that they could physically be there to help deal with everything.
They'd gone to an elevator that had a button on it to look like Leviathan's symbol but the elevator told them it wouldn't stop on that floor, so, Hackmon did what he does best and tapped into the systems forcing it to go there whether it wanted to or not. Rei hacked the security systems while Hackmon tapped the elevator so that they wouldn't be swarmed the moment they got to the floor. The cameras they'd hacked however had turned back on and sent security in a frenzy on the floor setting off the alarms.
"That's our cue." Haru stated as he, Yujin, and Astora, had all run off to cause a little trouble of their own.
"So, you think they found Hajime yet?" Yujin questioned them as the three guys were running off.
"I'll search for what floor they're on and we can bash our way up if we have to." Gatchmon told them looking through the magnifying glass that he kept on his helmet.
Meanwhile a door opened up for Rei and Hackmon with the two running down through that hallway as the security robots stopped chasing them. A Virusmon had tried to surprise attack them when they got to a room with a large door on the other side with Leviathan's symbol on it, but Rei had grabbed them by the tentacle he'd tried to slap him with and thrown him into the wall.
After that a bunch of little sleepy goatike Appmon had started floating into the room from the big door with Rei stating "One of these has to be Hajime."
"Rei!" A voice called out as they'd turned spotting the others coming to help, seeing that Haru was the one that called to them. "Eri's dealing with evacuating the citizens. We gotta figure out which one of these are Hajime and fast."
"Leave that to me, I can gather them together in groups and Hackmon can find out which one is Hajime." Black AgumonX spoke saying he'd help them out.
"Right, Digioul Charge!" Haru agreed using his Digivice Burst to have Black AgumonX Digivolve into Dark TyranomonX again.
Once he'd done that he'd grabbed up a large group of the sleepmon while the others were keeping the remaining occupied and Hackmon began trying to see which one was Hajime, shaking his head no when none of the ones gathered had been them. So he grabbed another large group, followed by another, and then one more.
"It's no use, give it up." Virusmon stated flating down to them. "The will of Leviathan is the will of the sea of the net. It's not something the likes of you can fi" ya he didn't get to finish that statement because Dark TyranomonX had slammed his tail onto them smashing him into the ground and converting him into chip form.
There was only one group left to check now, and the large Digimon had grabbed them all in his arms so they couldn't go anywhere. Hackmon had checked them all and finally stopped at one of the Sleepmon in a green pajama outfit giving a nod with Dark TyranomonX moving to then hand them over to Rei.
"Haru, everyone's been evacuated from the L-Corp building. You guys are the only ones left inside." Eri's voice came through the Seven Code Band on the wrist of the leader of the Appdrivers group.
"Right. Everyone, it's time to go, we'll take the rest of the Sleepmon with us and then wipe out the building!" Haru nodded before calling out to the rest of them who'd nodded as well gathering up the Sleepmon.
"I'll get us out of here, climb on!" Dark TyranomonX called moving so they could all climb onto his back. Once they'd done so he'd bashed his way hout of the back part of the building jumping down to the ground below and using his metal claw to dig into the building and slow their descent safely to the ground. "Alright, time to take this place out once and for all, Fire Blast!" He'd then called blasting flames from his mouth at the now empty building setting it ablaze and escaping in the ensuing chaos.
They'd headed straight to the old Datas building, which is now the Savers building and Dark TyranomonX had reverted back to Black AgumonX sitting down ready to take a break while they'd met up with a dark purpled haired girl along with a blonde who was with her and they'd taken the group to a lab area where Thomas and Marcus had been waiting alongside their Digimon Partners.
"We'll do everything that we can to try to figure out how to revert the Sleepmon back to human." Thomas stated to the Appdrivers about helping those little Appmon.
"What do we do about being seen?" Eri questioned coming in slightly later than the rest of the group.
"Not to worry, we got a special program for that. A simple flash and everyone but us will forget they ever saw the Digimon and Appmon." Marcus answered back about being able to take care of that. "We'll just say there was an electrical problem in the building and that's how the fire started."
"I'm keeping Hajime with me, I want to try to figure out a way to wake him." Rei told the group saying he wasn't leaving His brother with the other Sleepmon.
"That's fine by me, we can use it as a two pronged approach. If we come up with anything we'll let you know, and you do the same." Thomas then stated saying he could keep Hajime with him.
"Turning humans into Appmon, Leviathan is truly capable of terrifying things." Yujin stated about what happened to the Sleepmon.
"But why did Leviathan abduct Hajime to turn him into a Sleepmon anyway?" Astora questioned speaking up next.
"Once we find a way to wake Hajime up, that should become clear.. hopefully." Rei answered back about waking him.
"For now, why don't you take him home to your place. There may be something there that triggers him to wake up." Gaomon stated saying to go ahead and take Hajime Sleepmon home with him.
"Ya, like the fried eggs wake me up every morning." Agumon, that is, Marcus' Agumon, stated to the group.
"You're a glutton you know that." Marcus stated to his Digimon Partner. "But they're right, maybe a food he loved could snap him out of it somehow."
"This is like some Appmon version of the Bio Hybrid Program." The dark purple haired woman, who's name was Miki stated to everyone reading through the information.
"What's the Bio Hybrid Program?" Musimon questioned wondering just what they were talking about now.
"It was a long time ago, a maniac named Kurata forcibly fused Digimon DNA into that of Human test subjects in order to use them to try to take over and destroy the Digital and Human Worlds." The Blonde, Megumi, told them about what this program was. "It wasn't like the power of the Digisoul, nor natural hybrids born between the two species."
"There are natural hybrids between Digimon and Human?" Dokamon questioned surprised to hear that.
"Haru's grandfather on Rhythm's side of the family is one such individual." Thomas stated simply about Haru's grandfather being a naturally born human-digimon hybrid person. "But enough about that, head on home you guys need to rest."
"I've already got an idea to try out now that you guys mentioned something about smell, we'll test and see how how it goes." Rei told them as he and Hackmon left alongside the Hajime Sleepmon.
They'd headed thorugh the city and noticed the L-Corp building still burning to bits while local firefighters had been trying to put it out, and well, Rei couldn't help but look a bit smug and continued to their apartment. They'd gone in together and he'd put Hajime Sleepmon onto the couch heading straight for the kitchen.
"What are you doing?" Hackmon questioned following him into the kitchen curious about what Rei was up to.
"Before Hajime was taken by Leviathan, I used to cook fried eggs all the time for him. I used to burn them before I managed to learn while he was away, so maybe doing that now will wake him up." Rei answered as he started prepping the eggs and then started cooking them on the stove.
Hackmon watched curious as Rei had started cooking the eggs for Hajime wondering if he was seriously going to burn them on purpose, and to his surprise that's what he did. When they started burning he'd turned off the stove and heard something in the living room. Going inside they found that it worked, his little Brother was awake, and human again now.
