"So, what are we going to do now?" said Henry
"I have no idea," said Josh
"Well, I kind of do," said Eli
"Oh god, what is it?" said Hannah
"I do have a phone number to this paranormal detective I found on the internet."
The ghost king joined the conversation, "And you think this guy is legit?"
"Yeah, it's legit."
"Okay, call him?" said Josh
The king handed Eli's phone back, and he dialed the paranormal number. The phone rang for a moment until someone picked up. On the other side of the phone was a British man who sounded tipsy.
"Who is this *hiccups*?" said the British man
"Hello, is this John Constantine?" said Eli
"No, I'm the muffin man. Of course, I'm John Constatine. What do you want?"
"You see me and my friends summoning things." Eli hears John coughing up a lounge in the background
"Uh, huh, how old are you?"
"12 and a half."
"Hell no, I'm not falling for another brat prank call or imaginary."
"No, this is for real. We summoned the ghost king."
"Sure, kids did. No, if you excuse me, I have to finish up a gin and tonic." John hung up, leaving Eli baffled.
"He's not going to help, is he?" said the ghost king
"Nope, the guy was a dick."
"So now what?" said Henry
Eli looked at his phone and saw the time: "Well, I've got to go home, or my mom will kill me if I miss curfew."
"Not the fact that mange to summon a ghost?" said Hannah
"And she doesn't have to know about that part."
"Okay, kid what I'm suppose to do get back home?" said the ghost king
"I guess you stay at my house."
The king thought for a moment. Should I stay at some kid's house or float around until my friends get me? The ghost king said to Eli, "Fine."
"Cool let me get backpack," Eli went upstairs
"By the way ghost king I should warn you Eli is a mess," said Josh
"I've seen worst," said the ghost king
"Trust us you never seen a room like Eli," said Henry
The ghost king followed Eli as they left Henry's house as the sun began to set, and the moon began to rise. They arrived at Eli's house, which was red-painted and with a few pink flamingos scarred around the lawn. Eli opened the door, and the king turned invisible and phased through the house. Eli's mom was vacuuming the rug, and she turned to see Eli heading upstairs.
"Eli we're having meatloaf for dinner," said Eli's mom
"Cool mom I got to do something real quick," said Eli
"Like what?"
"Homework?"
"Ah good because you need to work on your history."
Eli went up to his room, and the ghost king followed; he looked at Eli's room to see his friends were right. Because there was clothes litter everywhere, some old soda cans on a desk, bed sheets all messed up, and comic books spilled out of the closet.
"Man, you really need to clean up your room," said the ghost king, who turned visible
"I will, maybe," said Eli
"Whatever."
"So um ghost king?"
"Okay, stop calling me the ghost king; just call me Danny."
"Alright, Danny. Since you're going to stay here a bit, you might all know the world."
"How's that?"
Eli went to bed and pulled out a laptop, "The internet."
